What is Neo Feudalism?
As governments take over the economy partnering with corporations and the super rich we are left with something that looks a lot like feudal times.
I think there has always been feudalism in one form or another. There is always a class that ultimately owns everything because they can confiscate it, grant it a "title" or tax it. This premise always leads to same outcome it's just a matter of how greedy or insane the current landlord is.
Everything consolidates one way or another, thats why decentralization is both great and doomed.
Anthropologist David Graeber did a book about about this myth called Debt. There is no evidence for class dominant economics bar this relatively small and recent period of time. Obviously the myth has more value than the reality.
probably starting from the neolithic era yes with the only exception of the 20th century, the only period of history where people got a bit of control of the power. Now is going to be lost for decades to come.
We need to look on the bright side, we are actually free serfs. We are free to seek a new master and we can seek redress in the crown courts, unfree serfs couldn't. However if we hadn't spent so much bit coin here we might actually be free with the value of it now.
I call it digital feaudalism. And yes, we have never really exited the feudal system. It just morphs and transforms, keeping the 1% at the top, making almost all the rest their slaves.

I see examples of this not just on the internet but in all industries. Walk down most high streets here in the UK and they now pretty much all look identical the same shops, coffee shops and chain restaurants with very few independent offerings. The cost of rent, business rates and all the red tape make it pretty much impossible nowadays for small independents to even start up.
Watching a show about fisherman on the BBC painted a picture of the EU quota system they must use and how the industry is dominated by money and huge boats and how these owners buy up small fishing boats and take the quotas these boats have to use on the mega trawlers.
The car industry seems totally monopolised now and we actually get very little choice - notice how the different makers share chassis and engines and the only real difference you get is the interior and badge. Everything else is pretty much controlled by rules and regulations.
It is obvious that these big players of industry are in cahoots with the those that set the rules and regulations as we saw with the emissions scandal with VW and EU collaboration.
Covid and lockdowns have exacerbated the situation as many small business owners left without any financial supports have gone to the wall while government loans to the huge corporations sit unused in their bank accounts.

A great book on the subject is Eat The Rich by the US satirist (and huge drug consumer) P.J. O'Rourke. I think his and my politics are probably polar opposites, but you could get fucked up at a party with him and have an amazing time. Anyway, good book. Breaks down all sorts of different political stances, and Good Communism is one chapter, and Bad Communism another. He's a funny guy, but maybe don't consider it as in depth reasoned academic analysis.

And I hope that, one day, employers decide paying a living wage is more important than ever increasing profits such that in work benefits are no longer necessary. I propose a link between maximum and minimum pay within an organisation. Let's say; no pay ( overall package including bonuses, perks and dividends) higher than 5x the lowest full time salary.

there are community outreach programs and obviously government funded systems like food banks to help, but the crisis only really exists because the capitalist system is designed that way. we have the resources to end world hunger but it's not economically beneficial so it will never happen

If we ask what communism is attempting which is elimination of hierarchy, collective ownership and resource equality it looks good on the surface but in reality if you look at Cuba and ask any Cuban that managed to fled the country they will tell you when communism is applied through force and suppression it disrupts and destroys instead of harmonising. Communism is inherently tyrannical. History shows that. There aren’t any examples of success for a reason. It goes against the human spirit. Millions more died die to its tyranny than under the Nazis but you never see documentaries on the BBC or Netflix about Stalin, Mao or Pol Pot. Capitalism isn’t perfect by a long way but meritocracy is natural and drives progress. People to an extent sort themselves into roles and structures on natural ability and interest. Socialism just teaches people to rely on the state whilst the state gets to dictate how people think and behave. It’s ideological tyranny on the one extreme and financial exploitation of a liberal society by the few on the other. My grandad was a carpenter and paid his subs to his union for years until he acknowledged the financial and ideological corruption that it was based on.

Drink a lot of water. It's crazy how little people drink. I go through 2 L before noon (you're almost always dehydrated after sleep - drinking coffee/tea dehydrate you even more). Then another 2-3 L for the rest of the day.
Besides occasional coffee in the morning (once or twice a week) I don't drink anything besides water.
I can't see a difference in my own health anymore (because I live like that for over 5 years now), but when I see my old pictures and how my skin looked like when I was constantly dehydrated - the change is huge. 14 years of acne went away without drugs or expensive creams. Only cream I use now is "fifty:50" (50% liquid paraffin, 50% white soft paraffin). So much money and stress saved.
Remember - skin is the largest organ in the body, but we tend to forget about it. It's the first and largest barrier against toxicity of your environment and keeping it in 'good shape' is very important for overall health (not only for cosmetic reasons).

Agreed on this completely. I drink so much water but I'd add it shouldn't be tap water. Nothing in life is free not even water
Good quality tap water is a start and better choice than plastic bottled water.
For filtering I would suggest reverse osmosis filter (just for drinking water, don't install it for your boiler). Brita filters, if properly maintained, are good start as well.

Totally agree we should all drink more and think about what we’re putting in our bodies but tea and coffee have been proven to be hydrating and found towards liquid intake cudnt not defend my coffee sorry :)

Mixing citrus juice with your green or black tea increase the amount of antioxidants absorbed by a factor of four. Without milk and sugar of course;)

In 1605 (Guy Fawkes Day -1), a group of rebels including the famous one now on the mask, had an idea: blow up the English Parliament with King James in it, presumably to start over afterwards over with a government closer to the people. Depends if you're talking voluntary communism vs involuntary communism. First version of communism that comes to my mind is a guy with a winter coat and a rifle dividing up scraps. Hippies sound like a better starting point if someone is thinking about it as an option for today.

We don't track referrals by day and have limited access to data in the current program. This does give us a chance to treat people individually though. We are always happy to look at an any individual's progress and help them grow. Generally speaking to make it to 5% your commissions should be in the $1,000s of revenue per month league.

Hi biggas I payed for an order with GC on Monday before the cut off and payed extra for sndd and it’s not arrived still so it’s gonna b 4 days come tomorrow b4 I get my smoke. Comms have been dismissive- basically cancel order if your not happy- has anyone else had similar experiences with this vendor? I know this is not Amazon biggas but this is worth posting on.
Why charge an additional $10 on my weight if the vendor can’t honour the sndd. And no apologies(initially)…for it. I was offered an xtra g on my weight by way of smoothing it out and it’s appreciated but I’d rather have my order on time tbh. Vendor marked order as sent yesterday afternoon and RM been n gone and still no package? I use other vendors with sndd and it’s arrived nxt day without

The need for speed causes more angst on LB than literally anything else and yet when you combine falling RM service levels and often overworked vendors, delays are sometimes inevitable regardless of how much you pay.

I love these talks....but let me take the opposing side of the view and say the real reason capitalism works and proven to work than communism (even communist countries like China has no option but to conform to capitalist notions)...Is because of it's destructive & Contradictory nature which allows room for error, destruction and reconstruct....Flexibility like biology of trial and error that leads eventually to efficiency....So yes there are aspects of communism that needs to be involved and would allow under capitalism....But not necessarily Viseversa....
Finally Communism has historically tried and Achieved Growth without sustainability.....So it has already proven not correct in REAL TERMS!
BUT we should look for a confluence between two and integrate to create a better system....again think of China and their growth spurt over the last 2-decades....this is after they have allowed Capitalist ideas to be joined with communism....

Being able to reveal voting history doesn’t change the vote does it? And the vendors headline score suffers just as before so how does this really make “ sabotaging reviews from noobs no longer possible” ?

I suppose it's the aspect of forcing acceptance, but then people can still do the same thing with new accounts, the score of the vendor goes down, then they have to get it resolved? Whereas allowing people to restrict prevented that admin ballache? The change in the review system and the visibility of stats is a massive positive change, but it's reliant on people doing due diligence, and there're unfortunately many who don't do that and rely on a headline number and move on without investigating. I've always found cleanup borg to be very efficient too, so apologies for my blanket statement.

But personally i think we either Know or don't know. I think believing falls into the realms of trust and trust is only needed when we don't know.

Depends on the motivations I guess. I mean you can choose to believe in an afterlife because it provides you succour and hope in this life and can never be disproved. For a lot of people thats reason enough.

i think the other flaws of communism would eventually come to the fore anyway. Would be very interesting to see what A.I does with state capitalism however.

I said capitalism has only 200 years not communes existed 200 years ago. But feudalism was still more communal than Capitalism. Peasants worked together on a plot of land that they paid for and were not dragged off to choking factories and confined to dense urban populations like the 1800s.

think of what c - suite execs are paid and every one of them can be replaced by an a.i. with existing technology. lots of them are just figureheads already.
Until technology is liberated from the capitalist mode of production & the private patents that create AI, then no. A.i under a communist government or socialist state could be used for good and help toward automation. Look to china where sophisticated computing has been used in public spaces to better traffic flow, keep public transport running and deliver goods and services. But A.I alone wont create communism. For communism to be achieved Revolution must happen first and the dominant ruling classes replaced so the means of production for AI are utilised by workers and not elites.

Capital owners already exploit technology to reduce costs and lay off workers, ai is just another part of that.
AI and automation could be used to give people more time off, pay more for less work, improve work life balance etc, or it could be used in the way described above.
As with a lot of things, AI could be used to benefit people or it could be used to make billions of dollars, or anything in between.

Personally cities are the most crowded and loneliest places on earth. Small undeveloped villages have imo happier more content folk;)
probably true but villagers are very much self selected. its easier to leave a lot of these places than stay.
I've experienced alienation and isolation in cities, but on the other hand I grew up in a coveted rural part of the UK and it now feels like a retirement home for those who can arbitrage their metro area homes and live off fat pensions here. It's increasingly like suburbia down to the aesthetic of the houses, increased prevalence of out of town shopping and total car dependence to do anything. Folks from major cities and the South East fall in love with the idea of rural England from their holidays, then transform it into a copy of the suburbs that they fled from. Access to nature aside, it's pretty dull and has very few work and social opportunities so I can't wait to move back to the city personally.
No sure I’d call it a Big City but of all the cities I’ve been to and that’s many, I’d say Copenhagen is the one I’d like to live, it’s no metropolis but it’s just incredible.
Munich is a great place to visit. Granted, I haven't lived there, but it's clean, friendly, multi-cultural and there's plenty to do. Oh, and the beer is tops.

There are only 33 cities ranked “mega” in the world, even London doesn’t qualify and neither do most European capitals. Generally they are shithole Chinese & Indian with over 10m population.

It's bloody long and pretty scary if you consider there's no land mass anywhere near the flight path for like 13 hours, except Antarctica, which isn't an ideal place to land in an emergency! Haha.

I went to Australia for a ‘year’ well meant to be a year, came back home after 2 months, just didn’t get the appeal at all. Wasn’t what I’d call eye opening or life changing in anyway.
It's basically a history-less, hot UK with dangerous animals and Scandi standards of living.

We as humans will never quite grasp the entire picture, while AI has already found the end of the road. there are things in basic sciences kept from most people, like gravity drives, the TIME axis (think twister/tornado), scalar waves, over unity devices, etc... AI wont follow the bounds because its supressed by money or greed...
we as humans can TRY to think what will happen, but in all reality, were already in the losing seat without any hope for a "comeback kid story"
Stop thinking in a 3rd dimension mindset, and learn quantum physics a little. (want to be totaly mindblown?? look up QUANTUM radar- and how its actualy In use RIGHT NOW!)
--note-- the united states has 3 confirmed quantum computers in use! (i accidently came across one when i traveled for work, but most people wouldnt know to look at the cryogentics involved)

I totally disagree. AI is the continuation of the same pyramid model of which history has proven that it's bound to fail. The resources needed are of a scale that requires heavy (and never ending) financial investments. The food eaten by AI is data. The provider: humanity.
The larger the scale of data one can feed, the better the AI (and it's owners) can fingerprint, the more refined it's targeting.
Let's take an example of "AI" that we all know:
Software Antivirus:
Supposed to be the guardian that protects an operating system against 'threats' and 'threat actors using a variety of techniques to identify them. Pattern based detection, behavioural analysis and heuristics (an expensive word for: 'guesstimating' or an 'educated' guess). Your antivirus is part of a swarm that provides the antivirus vendor with data on new threats and their geographic impact.
However:
The data you provide is 'free', there is no reward or any form of renumeration for the infrastructure that you provided. A computer is not free, internet is not free, the power needed is also not free and although there are free AV solutions, most demand a subscription fee.
In return you get a product and service which does not provide any guarantees that it will adequately protect you against 'threats'.
In reality AV is becoming a relic.
Human intelligence has outsmarted AV and found ways to circumvent it using the 'Trojan horse' approach or by simple social engineering.
As there was no incentive to find or report security vulnerabilities, the data needed to feed pattern/behavioural dried up.
Heuristics is gambling with historical data, if that data is worthless so are heuristics.
And so is any form of AI hence all media and marketing efforts to portray it as the next best evolution. The driver: more profit less people.
The touted theories about a minimal wage without having to work for it are a continuation of AI Utopia. It would make people dependent on their nations through a socialist measure.

AI are and will be good for work and a suitable replacement for humans, but even when that happens AI will always need us in case something goes wrong. I mean humans created AI, so in the end we’re always gonna have the more important jobs. AI is just there to do jobs in a more efficient way.

im not so sure, anything a human does to recover the system seems doable with a very separate AI
Yes but conflict between AI's might be the most dangerous thing we are looking at here. We are incidental casualties from that perspective. By we I mean humans :)
Yes all the Scifi is about humans vs AI but AI on AI is such a real possibility especially when you consider the fact that governments are mega funding military robots to fight each other.
I'm looking forward to the futher development of AI, especially General AI. I just think it would be so cool to have an amazon alexa sytle AI that you could take round with you and chat to and have a proper engaging conversation with because sometimes I really can't stand to talk to anymore humans aha

Remember seeing them a couple of times, also at Glastonbury (and maybe Reading 92?). The song I liked most by them was a cover of Public Enemy's '(She Watch) Channel Zero' if memory serves. Think I got a free 7" copy as it was given out at one of the gigs.

Yeah, I actually found a gig flyer from 94 buried in my ‘man’ drawer and the last day lists Soundgarden and Special Guests. After the festival I crossed out Soundgarden (didn’t turn up) and put Therapy? in place. I also ticked the bands I could ‘remember’ seeing (Lemonheads has ‘bit’ next to it, actually over exaggerated as can’t recall who, what or how they sound!)

Sorry, never saw this! I must be wrong as I only went to Reading in 92, mainly to see Public Enemy and Nirvana. Never really considered it a "festival", more of a 3 day gig. Must have been Glasto then as I went every year it was on from '85 to '96 when I decided it was no longer a fabulous freak show that they were trying to shut down every year and instead had become an "event" on the social calendar for the middle classes desperately pretending to be bohemians for a weekend and bookable only by credit card. Used to be that the police weren't even allowed on site and they buzzed us with helicopters! Changed days indeed.
Next week on "old man shouts at clouds" listen whilst old punks decry the death of "real music" and call for the death penalty for producers and artists who use auto-tune in every single feckin' one of their 'music as painting-by-number' songs...

I find it fascinating that governments happily admit to chemtrails be used aswell as geoengineering yet it's still called a conspiracy. If Ukraine was to surrender their lands, then I'd say only if they were entered into NATO, which enables their future security, and the lands would need to be demilitarised.

Last comment on this subject from me;) humans are almost clones of each other. For example to apes are always more genetically different than any two humans and they basically do the same in life due to most being born in to similar situations. So as you can read from the title, I am going to be shutting up shop for a little while, a couple of weeks….perhaps even indefinitely; but this is still early days yet and I dont know what im going to do in this moment in time.
So without airing all of my laundry! My oldest big brother passed away yesterday. as you can imagine my head is all over the place and something in me just snapped, I need an adventure, I need a break, I need to live, I need to do something that doesn’t involve the digital world right now.
And I am so so sorry to all of you that rely on this medicine I make and sell, I will still be selling the remainder of the syringes and the remainder of the mushrooms I have available, although I am considering blending it all up into powder and selling as lemon tek packs just to get it all out now.
I know I have people waiting on messages from me and I am so sorry to have neglected you all but life has just been crazy and things are only going to be getting a lot more overwhelming for me, and I know I won’t be able to be the best vendor/seller/communicator I am able to be for you all at this moment in time, in fact since the new year things have been extremely tough.
I will still be “around” in the form of my husband who will check in etc and if there are messages he will attend to them, but it won’t be as though you are messaging me if that makes sense….a good example of this is you won’t receive an essay!!! 😂
I am truly sorry and hopefully I will be back because I do love this world of natural medicine and connecting the good people to it!
But only time will tell.

Fascinating. There’s a really good BBC Horizon documentary on psychopathy. It features a researcher who was taking MRI scans of prisoners convicted of violent crimes and managed to associate inactivity in a certain part of the brain with psychopathy. He then decided out of curiosity to scan the brains of a few members of his family and found one of the scans matched the patterns of some of the prisoners, and it was his own brain. He then delved deeper and determined he was a psychopath however because he had a happy, well rounded upbringing, he still learnt right from wrong even though he didn’t have empathy towards others. They also discuss on the episode the evolutionary advantage of psychopaths and possible reasons of why the traits remain in the gene pool. It’s a really interesting subject!

Well, you're wrong. Dispute is based on reputation. A new user with only 1 order that has been disputed will almost certainly lose the dispute, unless the vendor has a terrible reputation.

14.85% is the stated fee for a seller where the purchase is made through someone else's referral link. Very close to that 16%, and nothing to do with a vendor's reputation. Have you genuinely looked into this and crunched the numbers?

i ordered a fair bit of smoke from these guys all of it is pretty rubbish even for discounted smoke the LA kush for 110 a half was horrible plain just strange smoke the biscotti was horrible worst smelling biscotti ive ever had the buds were green and no more the marmalade was the only decent bud but still was just small little buds nothing compared to other smoke i've had for cheaper from better venders was hoping the bud would be how its described. anybody else having this problem with these guys just really disappointed that i've gotta smoke this till i can get more. the photo is biscotti

I gave TGT a try and purchased some of there 'Bolo Runtz' and it looked exotic with solid dense buds of a colour that was almost black and a fruity but quite weak smell, I was excited to try it but sadly although there was a subtle delicious flavour it was very disappointingly weak and after smoking 3 decent doobies on the trot I asked a fellow stoner for there opinion and with both agreed it was seriously weak to the point of frustration! Sad really as apart from that they impressed me

I find that switching to edibles helps. The way you process THC differs between smoking and eating, so a week on edibles will see the smoking hit harder when you start again.
As Blazin said dude, edibles. Apparently the pathways for smoking and edibles/consumed THC are completely different, so you can have edibles, get baked, and then when you start smoking again you should have achieved your desired break.

We recommend working with very low doses so you can focus on your daily routine but the dose helps you connect to yourself and your mindset, and creates an open heart space where you'll become more observant of the "why" you get psychologically swayed. I saw a video that explained the difference between eating vs smoking/vaping THC. The liver apparently attaches something called a hydroyxl group to the D9 molecules when it processes them which turns them into 11-Hydroxy-THC. It's this new molecule that gets you stoned when eaten which would explain the difference in effects and individual tolerances.

Totally agree with the edibles suggestion. CBD products can help too I found that having a CBD vape to hit before bed was a help to get to sleep. Good luck 👍
If you haven't tried it yet then CBD might be worth a go (just not the weak crap like Holland & Barrett sell). I'm not really into edibles but CBD buds and distillate are really good to vape/smoke and you could make your own edibles from those, and there are high-strength CBD gummies out there too although I've never tried them myself.
I've found that exercise helps . You just have to pick up the pace for a bit , say a week or two . Cardio . It makes you feel good too.

I placed an order on the 31st August and the package is still missing. I contact the vendor on his channels, he sent me a tracking number from an old number starting on the 24th august. I explain its old and i need the one from the new order, he send me the new tracking number and the parcel has not had an update since the 4th of September. I proceed to make a dispute and the seller send an old tracking number again saying it was already delivered, but the tracking starts like 6 days before the order was created.

It seems you have conflated the two, whereas looking at the American people and domestic policy might yield better results. Guns are completely illegal in China and as we all know, China is one of the most liberated places to live on the planet! The second amendment in the US was created to provide a constitutional check on congressional power was as an auxiliary right, supporting the natural rights of self-defense and resistance to oppression. My family live in the USA and right now, gun ownership is anything from a penis fixation, it's security and peace of mind. I would rather get shot than stabbed any day of the week. I loved the opener with Klingons on Earth but even then it kept getting dumber with that poor man's Kirk routine from this guy. It seems like he belongs in an old Disney movie playing off a car.
Discovery by a long way for me. It just didn’t feel like Star Trek. Rewatched all of Enterprise recently and it was way better than I remembered.

I love Joss Whedon’s dialogue and sass but he’s an inappropriate inspiration for Star Trek characters.

For me it has to be Enterprise. Even the theme music felt wrong to me. It felt like the cast never really jelled and as a result the whole thing feels flat and disappointing.
