Another epic batch of wpff. This time by Good Vibes, who do the hash we have available. Single source, 1st and 2nd wash 90u hash. Just incredible work, one for the connoisseurs.
Strain is the legendary Original Diesel (Super Skunk x 91 Chemdawg)

We also have another lush WPFF. This is 1st and 2nd wash (149u - 73u). You won't find this quality for this price.
Jelly Donuts. The terps are incredible mix of tropical fruits, creamy baked goods.
Grape Gas sweet grape, diesel, sour funk
Purple Papaya back on the menu. Best I could describe this is fruit punch. If you liked the jelly donuts, you'll love this one.

Hi there, does anyone know what has happened to Society? It is the tor way to log into this site. I note THC have not been online since it went down a couple of days ago presumably as they don't want to use a clearnet site. When I try to connect to it I get "Onion site not found" and I can't see any info about it on here??? Does anyone know anything?

Have to give a shout-out to my boy THC23. Certainly deserves the title of home of the top shelf.

Extracts here are by far the best thing to have gone into the puffco (WPFF and Hassan's 6* were elite)
Even the budget flower was on par with some of the top buds from the top vendors on here. Anyone who wants to know what luxury feels like can rest assured that this is the place to be.

None of the things you mentioned are extracts they are premium hashes but can confirm, no one else on this site has a patch on THC23. From coms to quality of product they tick all the boxes

Its just miss leading, THC literally has a Extracts category. they are premium hashes WPFF is not an "extract" in the way rosin, BHO, distillate, etc. are extracts.
It’s more accurate to call it premium fresh-frozen hash

Hash (including WPFF bubble hash) is not an extract it’s mechanically separated trichome heads using only ice, water, and agitation, zero solvents, zero chemicals. An extract requires a solvent butane, BHO, CO2, ethanol, propane, etc. to dissolve the goods out of the plant. Live rosin is made by taking that same solventless WPFF hash and squishing it with heat + pressure, so it’s still 100% solventless, just a pressed form of hash. That’s exactly why every major competition (Ego Clash, Secret Cup, Rosin Dogs, Alchimia Cup, Hash Writer Cup, etc.) has three completely separate categories: Solventless hash, rosin, extracts.

Bubble hash doesnt have to be wpff thats just to preserve the terpenes, an extract is where you extracting from the plant which doesnt always require solvents, rosin , hash rosin or hash are still extracted from the plant which ever way you look at it.

If my mate told me he was coming over with extracts and turned up with Hassan 6* I definitely wouldn't be disappointed. If he turned up with bubble hash (or commercial hash) I'd argue semantics.

I didn't! I've stocked up with Crumbled Limes and Moonbow flower, and a jar of 'Becky' due to my massive FOMO with the Toad Venom. The Hassans seems to have just sold out. That was a Moonbow cross too, so it piqued my interest. I absolutely adore the Moonbow genetics.

So I've just had a look through my 'lip balm' jars, and there's a 'Swampwater Fumes' wpff hash rosin that I have and it smells amazing still after a few months at room temp in the dark, but has now almost glued itself to the side of the jar, like a forgotten gummy. Some of the 'piatella' (depending on production quality) I've had hasn't been significantly different after a while in a pot, I don't feel.

I haven’t tried the pink one or black but out of blue and yellow I think blue wins it for me it has more of a slightly spicy Zkittles smell and taste and better effects for me personally, where as yellow is more of a classic zkittles.

I love the variety, you never know what you are going to see on this menu. My favourite addition has been the top shelf UK bud at reasonable prices. Next year I'd love to see more top shelf UK bud and more types of quality hash for us British people on a budget. I always used to smoke it in a joint with tobacco, but since I quit tobacco I pretty much exclusively bong it now. I don't tend to like mixing it with pure flower in a joint as it can be hard to judge the quality/effect when it's mixed with flower.

I do have a Mighty but have avoided vaping hash in it as I have heard the Mighty doesn't get to the temps really required to get the best out of it. If anyone does vape hash in a Mighty what temps do you work with? Straight to the highest temp or build up to it?

I use a dosing capsule with a little cotton bacon and find the Mighty does a good job with hash as a “sipper”. If it’s a soft melty hash then 200c is fine, a harder hash and I crank it to the max.

I sip on that and it’s works great but if I want a BIG hit then I load up the tiny Vapman and apply the butane. Takes practice but hits real hard.

I’ve just got some dosing capsules for the Tinymight2. This cranks up much higher than the Mighty and even has a ‘Beast’ mode (😳) so could be the best of both worlds?

I just had some dosing capsules turn up as I have some wax I wanted to try in the Mighty so I will give it a go with some hash as well. I've seen a lot of positive opinions on the Tinymight2 here so might consider an upgrade. Thanks for the advice.

Tinymight2, water pipe adapter, a rimmed basket lined with cotton bacon and a bong is amazing! It takes a couple of attempts to get the knack, but then gives consistently *huge* clouds (they've set off my smoke alarm before) from a relatively small amount. Flavours are stunning - and thanks to Polly's cotton bacon tips - almost zero mess

Oh yeah- I’d forgotten about those! (I use different kit for extracts). They work fine, but the bacon is definitely better for hash- you just use a tiny tiny bit on the bottom of the capsule and on top of the hash so you still get a smoooooth draw👍

The advice about cotton bacon is spot on. It is much better than the capsules/pads. I ran some king hassan through the mighty using the capsules and pads and it made a terrible mess. It could be that I overloaded with hash but I had to throw the capsule and pad away after.

The cotton bacon wrapped around the hash is perfect, zero mess and no negative effects on the draw. I’m a convert, thanks for the advice.

How have you been getting on with hash and TM2 dosing capsules Polly? They never quite did the trick for me, but the rimmed basket (ahem) that comes with the 3D cooling stem has been much more successful. That,plus the water pipe adapter and a bong are so good I now use this method all the time (when at home) for flower and hash. I have found the TM2 at a high temp can almost cross over into combustion - the bacon starts smouldering! - so I'm wary of beast mode

I cannot get on with the TM2 dosing capsules, I have two different types and I don’t get much action from either of them. BUT- I am totally with you on the rimmed (oo-er) basket from the 3D stem!

My default set up is to remove the mesh from the cooling unit, push the unit half way up the long titanium mouthpiece and then insert the basket in the bottom (oo-er)… I find this works a treat. I had some spare baskets with my Arizer EQ so it’s all good 🤩

I cranked it up to level 10 to get anything out of hash filled dosing capsules and it was still rubbish. Yep, totally agree about TM2 dosing capsules: tried both, with very little success.

Baskets are definitely the way forward, and the water pipe adapter was a great investment - I recommend it. Using that with an ash catcher/bubbler and an ice bong has removed nearly all coughing for me, despite it all producing massive clouds (equivalent to a desktop vape, or combusting through a bong). Taste seems improved too.

I also frequently forget to turn the temp down (9.5 works well for me with hash and the above set up) and its pretty grim with flower isn't it?!?

Just wanted to show my appreciation for THC23 and there are a few reasons for this. First off is quality, the buds and hash I have received from them have been perfectly trimmed and cured, showing a great deal of care in the harvest, drying, curing and packing. THC23 has links with some impeccable growers who have a real eye for quality, and it shows! I always know that whatever product I am buying from THC, it's going to be worth the price tag, and it's quality you can trust.
Another reason I put THC23 in the top spot is the service - very quick comms, very polite and respectful (which really does go a long way), and always open to my suggestions of custom orders. In one instance I had a issue with a parcel, THC23 was straight on it to offer a resolution and actually blessed me with that one.
This isn't a paid shill, and I don't write hardly any posts on here, I just wanted to show appreciation for a seller that has served me well. I hope they continue to thrive on lilbiggy marketplace so that others can have the opportunity to try them. But be careful....once you venture into the world of high end hash there is really no way of coming back to commercials!

I wanted to publicly thank you. I use weed to deal with anxiety, it really helps me with appetite and sleep. Love the recreational effects but for me at least it is partly medicinal. I have had 5 orders now from these guys and every time the customer service has been exceptional along with the stealth and ND delivery every time.

Have bought a few of their top end hashes and they are all amazing along with 3.5g of the Bluntz which is also good, strong, clean weed, you can really tell the strains in it from the smell and flavour.

Eating is something I never had a problem with, but sleep I do. Being able to sleep again feels like a luxury. There is the Default Mode Network and when that goes screwy all sorts of not fun stuff happens including depression.

The Default Mode Network is the brains resting state, I find weed (THC and maybe the Terps and CBD? ) helps put it into neutral so the stuff in my head stops spinning around for a while and I can sleep/watch a film etc.

I am definitely no expert on this but I prefer weed over things like Benzo's/Alcohol and Ketamine which also effect GABA receptors. Though alcohol doesn't help me sleep or relax at all. That is the issue with self medicating, you can't really do a double blind test.

Yeah, fair. However we have repeated scenarios where the vendor convinces the buyer to close something, then screws them. There needs to be sufficient protection on both sides. Maybe education is needed, plus release of coin to the vendor when a review is placed, or a maximum timeframe is reached as the default?

I get where you're coming from, but if you've been here any amount of time, you'll have seen half the numpties that cancel disputes before their issues been resolved all the damn time. I can guarantee you those same numpties will release the funds on ordering, only to be hit with an issue, and be stuck without any comeback. I'd be all for reducing escrow by half, so it's only 2 weeks, cos short of 1-2 vendors, nothing should take that long to arrive.

I know and to be honest for UK2UK no marketplace can compete with littlebiggy, I've only seen 2 or 3 vendors from here lingering around but they don't have the greatest feedback here..

Biggaz are lucky for escrow and the fact that LB lets them even recover the funds even if gone to a wrong address personally I've never done it (fingers crossed never) but I'm pretty sure most other markets will call it your fault and leave it at that shout-out to the Borg's on that one, I'm also quite surprised these people passed the basic crypto quiz when your registrar an account on a exchange but I get it accidents happen we are all stoners and we live and learn

Indicas are sedative/couchlock, Sativas are lively/creative, right?

After 20 years of experience, I've come to believe there are so many other factors at play, that whether it's an Indica or Sativa is rendered borderline irrelevant.

I've certainly never had a bud that's made me run around like that athlete kid in Breakfast Club.

Anyone agree?

I think its more complicated than people think

If i vape Animal Mints or Obama Runtz at 180c I get sativa effects. If it vape Gorilla Glue 12 at 230c I will get indica effects. Yes smoking brings out the expected effects but the fact I can tweak the effects via temp makes me think its not as easy as indica/sativa

Furthermore, some sativas like Acapulco Gold or J1 are like a cup of coffee in the morning. Legit clear headed energy. Something like the Pink Lady is a sativa but it is more chilled. I think terpenes have a very big part to play in it. Maybe the kush terp has indica effects and that's why despite being a sativa, the Pink Lady doesn't hit like the J1 for example. I'm rambling a bit here but I hope you all get what I mean

I spent close to a year living in Amsterdam. With exceptional quality buds, you can expect to receive the typical couch lock and sedation with a good Indica and a buzzy euphoric racing high with a solid Sativa.
Dr Grinspoon at Katsu coffeeshop was a pure Sativa, it was like drinking a double espresso, no ceiling to the high, it didn't roll over, one for the morning...

Apparently some Sativa's can work the opposite on some people, and can couch lock them. Amnesia Haze is a particular potent strain, whilst it's a sativa, it can deck you.

Perhaps check Leafly or Wikileaf for further advice on certain strains.

I've smoked 26 years, used to smoke anything and enjoy it all but now I notice a huge difference between the effects of sativas and indicas, every time I obtain an indica strain it's hugely relieving for my ptsd and post cancer surgery pains, and sativas almost always give me nasty anxiety. I'll still smoke them tho, because I'm an addict haha

I think this is it, I’ve smoked for 20 years but didn’t notice the difference until really started to pay attention and start to use for medical rather than recreational reasons there is 0 doubt in my mind there is a very easily notiible difference. It’s natures way so everyone can be helped by this wonderful medicine, Sativa to speed things up, indica to slow things down. No one will convince me otherwise on this I’m certain if I was given a heavy sativa dom and n indica I’d know the difference within a few tokes

For me, I believe it to be true to a certain extent. I find with sativa heavy strains I feel a buzz in my head and it's above my ears. With indica heavy it's below my ears and I'm definitely more lazy. It's not a massive difference for me though. My mind tends to wander and think about more random bollocks with a sativa too. Who knows maybe it's all in the mind. All this energetic stuff I see is pure bullshit for me though. If I'm high, not much is getting done.

There are many factors that contribute to an overall feeling. I wouldn’t say Sativa/Indica is the dominating answer. That’s like saying my only expression is sad or happy... However, things get a bit more technical when you dig into it. Being able to simply explain an estimate sensation to buyers in percentage i20s80 is hugely beneficial. It helps people learn about what they’re buying, that’s not a bad thing

It’s all about harvest times. If you let the sativas trichromes go amber, then you might get a couch lock. Similarly if you harvest your indica when the trichromes are clear, then you might feel creative and focused;)

Seems to depend on people’s chemistry. I cannot take Sativa or hybrid strains any more. Make me paranoid and awful circular thoughts and insomnia. Indica Im easy like a Sontag morgen. I grew up with hash in the 90’s whi I think must have been mainly indica and I used to love smoking. When skunk came along it was hit and miss and paranoia used to be more frequent. Thanks to Lb I’ve been able to buy what suits me both in terms of hash and weed. Got some lovelY Northern Lights and Hindu Kush and Fanta hash which are right up my strasse.

So, I lived in Seattle for nearly 10 years and smoked on the daily and there wasn't any drastic difference in the effects of the many different strains on the go except for this one time that will forever stick with me. I had been smoking a typical kush number with dense nugs for most of the day before heading out to a place for hot wings with my mate. Dude pulls out a very straggly and wispy looking bud from Oregon, puts it into a bowl and we fire it up. Not a minute or two later that shit came on strong and cut through the Kush fog like a hot knife through butter. A rush of high energy blasted away the previous hours of smoking and we ended up high as fuck giggling like lunatics over hot wings. That's the day I realised that a real 100% sativa does exist and it's a fucking blast.

This is without a doubt important to me, after years of trial and error, I've discovered my ideal is a hybrid around 80 indica and 20 sativa, so pretty much something like a og kush or something, I've found a more sativa dominant strain will mess with my head, I get hyperactive and often get headaches, I can instantly tell if the weed isn't right for me, I think it depends upon you, personally I smoke for pain relief and mainly to switch off, I like the real stoned feeling you get from indica, it's like a warm blanket for your brain, I do have a very active mind so this suits me, of course each strain and type affects us in different ways, I can't say I've really every enjoyed sativa dominant strains but when I have smoke it I find it goes really quickly as it doesn't hit the spot, I'd say I'd be active with sativa as a rule if I had to smoke it .....

Personally regardless of the weed is indica or sativa its the terp profile like for couch lock it would have to contain a good amount of mycrene to get this effect other terp profiles do different things I would imagine if it was indica or sativa and didnt have enough of the terp profile in either of them for what ur desired effect I dont think it's down sativa or indica more of what terp profile that weed carrys

There's definitely a difference in high between cultivars with the tropical 'Sativas ' generally being more energetic and psychoactive but now that everything is a hybrid , these classifications don't make a lot of sense anymore.
Also , those indica/sativa percentages are completely made up.

I too have about 20 years experience smoking different strains, including solids. I normally smoke 'bud' though.

The last solid i smoked had hardly any effect on me at all - it used to make me really 'horni', 20 years ago.

However, i do notice a difference between Indicas and Sativas. I do a physical job and an Indica strain does take the aches & pains of old age away, for me personally.

Ive had one particular Sativa that did make me run around like a headless chicken... lol

I've smoked, vaped, eaten it for over 50 years. Travelled around most of the producing countries of the East & Africa in the 70s. Grown much and spent time with several breeders too. Indica, Sativa and Ruderalis are real. A zillion hybrids confuse the Taxonomy thse days.

I think this is a really interesting topic.

I'd probably agree with this.

But if this was 100% the case, then why would so many people (myself included) claim to feel different effects with indica strains vs sativa?

One option is placebo - obviously a very powerful mechanism and I'd like to see blind trials about this.

My current theory which I've been thinking about a lot recently is that it's due to terpenes - as they are widely believed to mediate the effects of cannabis, is it possible that some are more prevalent in indica strains and others are more prevalent in sativa strains?

Obviously exploring the entourage effect and terpenes in cannabis, and even research involving cannabis in general, is a relatively new field so I'm excited to see what we find out in the next decade and beyond.

The interaction between terpene levels and cannabinoids is most likely the explanation for the perceived differences between indica and sativa.

A lot of sativas have little to no cbd, cdb affects the way thc acts, a lot of sativas have lemon, orange or citrus terps which seem to be the more uplifting and eurphoric terps, so sativas having an uplifting effects but being more likely to induce anxiety makes sense given terp and cannabinoid profiles.

Yep, that example with sativa strains often being limonene dominant is what I'd noticed to get me thinking about this.

It's funny though because indica dom strains can make me para which is contradictory to the typical assumption that sativa = anxiety. Obviously everyone is different and will see different effects but it would be nice to know about contributing factors.

We really need to see more research on this; it's honestly surprising that it's so under researched as the medical applications (esp for mental health) really demand understanding of these issues.

The main tips I would give you for the rig are:

1. Don't overload it, less is more.
2. Keep it clean, like after every sesh.
3. Use ice cold water in the bubbler and change it regularly.

The live resins and that others have suggested are fine if you're on a budget but it's a very one dimensional high (mostly THC only).

For a nice full spectrum high similar to smoking flower you're better investing in some WPFF, Piatella or Rosin.

The difference is night and day.

You get what you pay for alot of the resin is whipped up bleached crap which is mass produced. Like someone below said stick to rosin, wpff, piatella thc23 are the best for these.

Good choice. Have one myself and I find it excellent. Not tried any other brands but it provides flavour and gets me high.

First two settings (purple, yellow) are weak but give great flavour. Good for testing your brand new extract. 3rd (blue) is my go to and sometimes 4th (green). I don’t tend to use the highest two settings but you do you. 2 back to back sessions and usually finished. Long inhales. Don’t be afraid to cancel session rather than leave it while you pause for breath/wipe your brow!

I scorched my cup on my first go a few black marks but still works perfectly don’t sweat it. You can heat clean the cup in a separate mod set up but not available to me, but don’t care!

Brown residue in the cup and/or less clouds, more heat on the inhale are signs your extract is finished. Wipe with dry cotton bud, iso only required every now and again. Give the air path an iso wipe every few dozen sessions. Easy. Enjoy.

Can recommend shatter from MKK2020, which doesn’t break the bank.

Pro trick - if you happen to have a ceramic hot knife, heat it up and gently scrape off the charred bits after washing in ISO. Worked wonders for me

So we sent 8 parcels on Monday to all different people not one of them have arrived yet and the tracking receipts say this (the sender has advised they have dispatched your item to royal mail..
More information will be available when we have received your item and scanned it into our network ) we actually went in to the post office and sent them we payed they gave us the receipts ! One of the parcels contains 12 items (in total of the 8 parcels 1200 pounds )we can't afford to lose all these and the customers are leaving bad feedback and opening disputes making it look like we are ripping people off we spent months getting our feedback good and working hard on this site now royal mail have fucked us over .has this happend to anyone else and can anyone help

IMO there are many factors you need to consider when trying to decide who is the Top Vendor.
Not ranked in order of importance

1) Product Selection (more choice the better)
2) Product Price (No explanation needed)
3) Product Quality (This ties in to some extent to the price of course. If flower is £100 an oz its not likely to be as good as £200 an oz flower for example)
4) Delivery Service (Do they post the day you order if its early enough? Do they mark it as sent immediately and then post the next day?Do they give tracking if asked?)
5) Delivery Stealth (no weed smells)
6) Comms between vendor and yourself. This can be very important if you have never used a particular vendor before...or if there are any delays with your order arriving. Do they reply promptly? Some vendors will just swap out your order for something similar if they have run out, others will message you and ask what replacement you would like etc.
Virtually every day someone posts a topic about X vendor not replying to their "where is my order its not arrived yet" message

Guys, have been around these parts for nearly 2 years and have tried a huge number of vendors. One stands out from the crowd. Take a bow, TheHashCollective23.

These guys have extremely good hash, outstanding at times, and the best flower I've found on LB, but more importantly, they are properly decent and personable people who go out of their way to look after the customer. If you haven't tried them, you really should, and if you have before but haven't in a while, maybe now is a good time to check them out again (the christmas stash menu is crazy!!!).

Honestly folks, these are some of the best in the business and the product is out of this world.

jar your weed with 62% humidity packs, if you do backy and weed that should be enough providing you grind the weed. Make sure you tap down the joint propery to compact and remove loose parts of the joint.

I have noticed that topping down the joint results in a harder pull!
I like my joints a little more airy to allow flow. This is has resulted in tapping the joint and then running my fingers up the joint to loosen it back out a little bit

Yeah so I layer it already but I found that a little trick to do is grind your vaccine up aswell whilst also layering it!
Fucks up the grinder overtime really because of the baccie
And end up having more baccie in the spilff but leaves me with a good smoke!

Mix.your backy and herb in the grinder lid or in a small ramekin or bowl before rolling and then you should find this happening a lot less, also 'tapping' the doobie to organise the contents will slightly shorten the j but also help prevent this

Imo, if its packed correctly I never get sideburn.

Note if your mixing with baccie though. Do a smaller layer of baccie first, layer the weed, then another small layer of bacci on top. That solved any side burn issues I had when I smoked mixes

Exactly as Zapgaz says - little dab of saliva just at the head of the fast burn. Also, turn the bifter so the slow burning bit is at the top. I'm the habit of doing both of these without really thinking about it every few draws just to maintain an even burn.

Yeah so I find putting the slow burning bit at the top so it over hangs burns off. I just although scientifically heat rises and show it should sort the side burn out if the heat is rising into it!
Might be just too munched and smoked out I dunno!

My method is that I don't roll the spliff tight, it's more that I roll a perfect cone that the weed sits in. Then several hard taps on the table. I lose a centimetre from the top of the spliff, but I can't remember the last time I had side burn. I also use actitube charcoal filters, so never get roach ick, and it's a smoother smoke.

Air pockets will allow the paper to burn down on the side if that happens bit of saliva to let the other side catch up.
Light it up carefully, approach the flame perpendicular and don't push the joint in the flame but gently hold it a close as possible whilest taking draws. Think of it like lighting up a cigar.

When you backstrap / reverse roll you virtually never get side burn. It takes a short while to learn but is worth it.

If I do get some side burn I usually lick my finger and moisten that side of the joint with it so it evens up.

Really good weed doesn't sideburn if all the different factors are lined up. It has to be not to dry,definitely not still damp or quicky cured and, in my largely overrated opinion, picked apart by fingers not ground down by a grinder. Grinders dust up your weed to much and it burns at a slower speed. When you pick it into its natural bits n bobs it seems to burn way better. Maybe it's just me. We all have our little rituals 😶‍🌫️

I do layers, especially with hash. For hash, I'll do a layer of tobacco and middle layer of hash and then a bit more tobacco so the hash is in the middle of the joint.
If it's weed, I'll do the same, but the other way around....start with a layer of weed, then a bit of tobacco and then another layer of weed so the tobacco is in the middle of the joint.

Hotness is what Biggy uses for sorting when "bigg" is selected, so it's this site's formula. I think it can seem stale so wanted to be able to sort by recently created/updated.

Endorsements were just something I added as an experiment, thought user votes might be fun. Hasn't been tested properly, so probably needs work, or might be scrapped. We'll see.

I know there’s some amazing bud available in nerja, my experience of clubs in the city centres was mire expensive than the dam and run by ego clique knobs. Me and hubby spent 600 euro in an hour and never went back but weedmaps showed us really cool places in surrounding areas well worth the coach or tram ride - sound interesting people with a selection of not bank breaking bud, lovely hash eggs in the Moroccan quarter of Granada on the street corners too if you visit

Ive just got back from Malaga. The best clubs are outside the city due to tight policing. Use weedmaps to find good spots. I went to a beautiful place called "moodclub420" In Benalmadena. Its 100% worth the travel.

lmao, I was clearly super high when I answered this... was thinking of Algarve in Portugal for some reason.

But in Marbella I went to the Cali Smookers weed club, it was actually pretty decent stuff they had there, highly recommend. It's about an hour away from Malaga...

I do think they said they had some in Malaga as well, but haven't tried any there.

Not trying to be a dick here but they do not look healthy. I know everyone is chiming in here saying how great these looks. I can only assume these comments are coming from people who’ve never grown weed. The leaves are starting to yellow out. Hard to tell from the photos you’ve uploaded but its either too higher EC strength of nutrients/feed/hot soil at some point during veg, early flower or the reverse, deficient in at least 1 nutrient. Actually, I’ve seen similar from LED lights being used & being to close to the canopy. I’ve also seen this with a lot of autopot grows, very finnicky. You’ll still pull bud as you know but the yield & quality will be down.

My first experience with WPFF

I’m an old-school hash head—been smoking it since my teenage years. Recently, I’ve gotten back into hash, but I was getting tired of how much tobacco I had to use when rolling spliffs. At the same time, I started noticing that the quality of hash was improving—things like static sifts, for example. I also noticed that the prices were getting pretty steep, with some going for £50+ a gram.

That’s when I came across the Puffco Peak and started looking into whether you could use it for these higher-end types of hash. I saw mixed opinions—some saying you could, others saying you couldn’t. Eventually, I thought, “Screw it,” and decided to take the plunge and bought the new Puffco Peak.

The first thing I tried with it was 2 grams of Rainbow Belts WPFF, since I’d heard that WPFF works really well with the Peak—and honestly, it didn’t disappoint. I expected it to be harsh like dabs I’ve tried in the past, but it was the opposite: smooth, creamy, and packed with beautiful Z terps. The high was strong but sneaky—it crept up on me gradually after the hit. And the hit itself? Tiny. Just a small scraping from the parchment paper it came in.

As for cleaning the Peak, it only took two Glob Mops and the chamber looked brand new again. Since then, I’ve run all sorts of hash through it—various statics and even some Blue Magic Patron. Some left a bit of a mess, but every time, it only took 2 or 3 Q-tips to get the chamber spotless again.

Honestly, I’d recommend any fellow smokers give it a try. The experience has been next-level.

Anyway, sorry for rambling on—probably no one cares, haha.

As a keen follower of the orange products available on LB, I've noted an uprising. Like a cult movement. The orange love is rising up like a wave washing through the LB vendor menus.

I wished for 2025 to be the year of the orange flavours and that dream is slowly starting to become reality. This is it folks.

Let's start with the Mimosa. It does seem to be the one most people love. A sort of Goldilocks mid-point of orangeness that people have deemed to be just right. Not too much or too little orange flavour. And to be fair it's a good compromise point. I like it despite it not being my number one orange strain - but I believe we can do better.

Fancy Orange Hash

As a fan of fancy hashes there's a couple of orange versions worthy of being on this list. I don't expect they'd bring so much orange flavour to the party but I think they're worth noting.

Firstly the Orange Cannoli WPFF from RD:

Expensive bit of hash but I remember Mr Rux stating one of the WPFF hashes was the strongest thing he'd smoked so if you're rich or celebrating then maybe it's worth a little treat to see if it's the full space rocket variety.

A Short List

Okay, so it was a short list. What I described as a wave of orange was in fact just a few items. More of a splash than a wave.

If we all jump in though the splash will grow and before you know it every vendor will offer an orange option to satisfy our cult desire for that old sour dank orange flavour of the past.

Back in the 80s they didn't have vegetarian options in every restaurant but after enough people adopted the diet choice they are offered everywhere now. We need to be proud of our Orangetarian status.

Mystery Disappearing Orange Strain

There was another nice looking orange strain from a well known vendor on here - Agent Orange - but both it and they seem to have disappeared from LB. I've no idea what happened there but overall I hope to see more people get on board and ride the orange train with more orange on more menus as the year rolls on.

Really nice bit of weed, good sized fresh buds, grinds perfectly, really smooth smoke and a nice kinda zoned out high. It doesn't scream of orange, there are definite notes of citrus but I'll be honest if it was a blind test I wouldn't necessarily say it was a predominantly orange strain. That said I have absolutely no complaints and would say yes, it's worth it for the price. I'm away to buy a can of Fanta to wash it down, that'll deffo bring it up to a ten!

I figure the more we talk about the orange, the more people will try it and the more vendors will stock it. Every time I post about orange flavours there's a few more fans jump in. I hope for a moment like the Greggs vegan sausage roll which broke open the vegan market so wide that that even Kentucky now do a vegan option. We need that but on LB and orange flavoured; An orange product so universally polarising that's it's all anyone can talk about and vendors struggle to hold it in stock. Could be this year man.

The hash collective have some lovely looking (but not orange) stuff in at the min. Very spendy but looks the nuts. I'm hoping to have some piatella from them on payday too.

I guess it's all about picking a strain that'll grow well in your setup. Although from memory I think you said you had some excess heat last time. I'd love my own setup to grow a few bits I like. Hopefully one day.

You will have to do a write up on the piatella if you get some, I was fortunate enough to get some Cosmic Gelato from myconauts and it is really nice and a cut above, but I still struggle with the price.

I've got some crumble wax at the min which is lovely at 35 bucks a g and some apple hash rosin at 25 bucks a g - that stuffs amazing in the dab pen. So the piatella would need to be about 4x as good as having both of these for it to be the same value for money.

I'm excited to try it though and I'll keep an open mind til I've tried smoking it a few different ways and see if I love it that little extra bit that makes the price seem okay.

The Orangina is pretty full on orange bud flavour. I've only had it once. I think orange has a more marmite effect than other strains so is more of a gamble for growers and vendors. That's why I keep pumping these posts out in the hope a trend will start!

We recently ordered 100 static room pre rolls. Unfortunately only 41 landed and that meant that they worked out costing us $80 each, hence us putting them up for 100usd.

But due to lack of demand we've dropped the price 20% to $80 and we've also put a crazy deal up for 3 random prerolls for $180, that's $60 each! 1x miyagi, 1x static room and 1x burning rope pharms. Only one order per customer please.

They might still seem expensive but its a good deal when you consider 7g jars of branded miyagi, knock farms, burning rope pharms or parlay go for around £200 in the UK, that means the flower in each static room or miyagi pre roll would cost about £40 and then the static room garden series static hash is around £50 a g, so £20 for a 0.4, and you're getting it all hand pre rolled with a lovely glass filter tip.

Since you've got loads of recommendations for clubs I'll suggest an excursion... I'd highly recommend going up Mount Teide, you can do sunset/star gazing excursions which are simply incredible.

Even in the daytime the sea of clouds & scenery is stunning, but the real magic happens at night; fom the lower cable car station you're able to see the milky way with the naked eye!

Just seeing all these comments now ffs mate lol OV is a private club in Adeje but called OVC now. It’s just behind Burger King on the beach up the street next to the surf shop behind the big wooden door up the stairs wink wink!

A certain grow shop owner on the island and a few of us helped get it going almost 10 years ago. However it’s now owned by J and a few Italian boys we sold out to a while back and I hear they ain’t doing great.

I will say this, a very old friend of mine and German legend owns and runs the best CC on the island but you will need a car as it’s up the volcano about 25-30 mins

You won’t get in of course unless you have someone to sponsor you and that’s as rare as hens teeth. It’s been running almost 20 years now and that’s all I’m saying lol

There’s many CCs with the same name that clam to be the one so hey it’s called… Energia Cannaria

How Do You Write Reviews?

- Powerful Tool -

The review system on LB is one of the powerful tools LB gives us consumers. A bad product or vendor has a short life on LB because of the reviews and ratings system as well as being able to create topics like this. Its one of the ways in which vendors are held accountable for their products and services.

- Share Your Experience -

We have the power to share our product knowledge and experience of vendors to help steer other LB purchases. I've seen bad products removed pretty fast off the back of the community response. Equally I've seen people rush to buy vendor products driven by positive content here.

- No Guidelines -

However, there's not a set way to do reviews so we all make it up as we go along. This leaves a mixed quality and lots of discussions around what is correct.

I review the overall deal - product, value, stealth & service. I'm likely to give a ten assuming everything went well and the weed matches the photo and description as well as being good value for the price paid. I start dropping points off for poor quality, delays, mistakes etc.

How do you do yours?

- We Have a Voice -

Looking at new vendors as a way of estimating review rates, it looks like a fairly small number of people write reviews - maybe 25%. I'd be interested if anyone has any accurate numbers around this in case I've got it completely wrong. It's a shame though as in many aspects of life we don't have a voice. We do here.

- Mixed Quality -

While many reviews here are great and contribute to the lb community, there's some reviews which are not nearly as useful.

This is a discussion so please chime in if you believe I'm wrong about any of these or have something to add. I have rewritten the below reviews as examples of the bad review genre so as not to directly quote anyone's actual review. It's not a witch hunt. This isn't aimed at anyone personally but is a discussion about writing reviews that will benefit everyone.

- Review Examples That Could Improve -

Top of the list of course is:
"I haven't tried it yet. 10/10."

- Unless you're Nostradamus maybe wait til you do try it. It could be an 8 or lower by then. I've had weed that looked and smelled just right from my favourite vendors but was so-so to smoke. I've also had iffy batches of stuff I'd ordered previously. Proof is in the pudding. Also writing a review closes the dispute window so if the product has a problem you'll have to jump through more hoops to open a dispute after reviewing it.

Next are this type:
"Amazing. So stoned. Huge glistening purple buds. Overweight. Pure white smoke. Perfect oil ring. Probably the best weed I've ever had. And they sent me a freebie too. 6/10."

- I get it. You're difficult to please. High standards are good and you want to leave some ranking margin at the top for better stuff. Or maybe there was another issue like stealth or delivery time that you marked down from a ten. It'd be good to the reasoning for marking down here.

The one and done:
"1/10"

- If it's a 1 out of 10 we need to know why, especially on a product page of 10s. What went wrong for you - give us the heads up. Tell us your story.

That's also because of these:
"Terps and stone amazing. Incredible stuff. I'm ordering this again. 1/10"

- Clearly a mistake and likely a mix up on delivery time and rating or fat fingering the zero on a ten. I wonder how many one and done reviews had meant to leave it as a positive.

Expecting miracles:
"Ordered on Christmas eve next day delivery but it took 3 days to arrive. Weed was good though. 2/10"

- Set your expectations to realistic. The only person who delivers that fast at Christmas is Santa. And then only if you've been good. Have you? I fully understand the disappointment. Rolling papers at the ready and the postman walks straight past to your neighbours. We've all been there. At time of writing this, I am there now. But before you leave a low score do question, was this the vendors fault, or royal mail.

New vendor first reviews:
"Great. 7/10"

- You're the bold adventurer to roll the dice and place an order with a new vendor and we need to know more about how they operate. Stealth, delivery, product, communication. How did they do? Should we all drop everything and order here immediately? Spending a few mins here helps out the buyers and the vendor. Often new vendors have some great bargains but do we want to risk it - you know the answers.

On a multi product listing:
"It was amazing. 10/10"

- Which of the options did you buy? Often naming the product is unnecessary but on multi product or multi variant listings it's a useful habit that helps us know which are the good options and which to avoid - rather than blanketing multiple differing products with the same rating. Your 10/10 may have sold out days ago.

- My Ideal Review -

"[Product name] was a great example of the strain with strong [flavour] taste and strength. Big nugs. Perfectly cured. Thoughtful stealth and fast delivery. Vendor is awesome, I order here all the time. 10/10"

- Here we're ticking off the key points that make us trust the product listing and the vendor. Equally, if any of these points fall short then flag it up to the LB community. There's a thousand products here so give us a steer. If you read reviews to inform your own choices then please equally contribute by reviewing the products you buy. Your opinion counts.

- Negative Reviews -

Of course not all reviews are positive and where the value, weed, vendor, service or stealth is not up to scratch, that's the point where constructively explaining that to your fellow buyers in the reviews helps the whole community.

Negative reviews can have a powerful impact and help us make good choices about where to spend our coins. Give the vendors a chance to achieve their ten but if they're not up to the job in hand or you've had a terrible experience then sharing it helps us all.

- We Are Lucky -

Basically we're a bunch of lucky folk buying great quality cannabis products at decent prices with our payments protected by escrow.

Spending a few mins and doing our bit on the reviews helps the community thrive and the good products fly - as does creating or interacting with topics and recommendations. Equally steering us around poor service helps us avoid the problems you have had. It's these things that make LB more than just a marketplace but make it our community.

For my reviews I will usually have a quick test when I get it and put a number score 10/10 if all is as advertised, and then I go back to add comments if I think it is worth mentioning.

If I am marking down for anything I will always put a comment but luckily I have very few bad experiences on here.

If there is an issue with the order but it is a genuine mistake and is dealt with in a decent manner I won't necessarily mark down but I will mention how it was handled in the review💚

Completely agree with what you're saying about review stance. I've had a mistake rectified and still gave a 10 due to the way it was handled. I noted it in the review too. I think it's important to be fair. Some vendor services do slide over time though so it is worth flagging. A buyer who can see a row of problems in the reviews may choose to shop elsewhere.

just to say i'm really keen to participate in this discussion (but i wont be around too much until the weekend).

much about the reviews system that i've been mulling over too...

personally i think it's busted and needs work (like how many buyers actually know that vendors don't get to see the usernames of their reviewers? almost nobody leaves negative reviews, which is a blight tbh, there are plenty of dodgy products which are nevertheless rated 10/10 with not a bad word said in reviews, and that harms customer confidence, or at least it does mine)

and although i fully subscribe to the idea that providing some kind of a rough format for people to follow, in order to best help them provide everyone with an illuminating review, i also wonder how many even have the time for that shit.

i feel like there's a few of us though that might aspire to provide helpful, comprehensive reviews, and so maybe we coalesce loosely - like a so-called coalition of the willing, to coin a fucking phrase lads.

i'd be interested either way to keep exploring the art of cannabis reviewing, because i think the zeitgeist too is kinda busted. one such reason being that there's rarely any affordance for the context surrounding the given experience of a product, which i feel should be given primacy, like a framing device for any review. e.g. i was exhausted at work but this buzzy little bud got me through the final hours, or i was so high after a night out i thought i'd never sleep but this hash sent me to fairyland, or i use this every day as it keeps my mood up, but prefer something more potent for evenings and weekends, etc. that way i know immediately which reviews are relevant to me.

anyway, it's very cool you made this thread. i've also been thinking about doing the same, because the review system as is just isn't producing the kind of value it should for it's users. it could be a goldmine.

To highlight your "context" comment, I have recently seen this review from GASSED's Edibles:

"1/10
Sorry but zero effect from this I tried 3 days in row today on empty stomach and nothing and me tolerance is low"

Now, Edibles are very contentious on LB but this sort of review doesn't help. These Edibles have a 9.9 rating from 2,270 reviews - so surely these DO contain THC? (I have personally sampled and, yes, they do.)

Has this reviewer had success with edibles in the past?
What is "low" tolerance for this person? And are we talking smoking or edible tolerance?
What time of day did they take them?
How high were they before taking the edible?
How much had they indulged in for the past few days?

If edibles usually work for them, was it a dodgy batch maybe? Have they been in touch with the vendor?

Maybe a fuller stomach, or at least having a fatty snack, would help kickstart the edible. I don't think gummies have any fat in them - not sure?

I know it is disappointing when a product doesn't work but after exploring all the avenues with the vendor if I was still to leave a bad review, I would make sure to give more details. Especially a 1/10 on a product that is rated highly.

You could say just ignore it but I am intrigued to know why such a low score, there may be a genuine gripe.

Even if there was an overhaul of the review system with lots of criteria to score, we still need written comprehensive information to explain those scores.

Hard to know what happened there. Perhaps it's one of the review scammers trying to leverage extras off the vendor "or else I won't change my 1/10 review". But then maybe it's genuine and there was a quality control issue. Working with the vendor is first base to solve it I'd recommend but maybe they dived straight for a 1/10 out of anger.

Hard for me to judge without seeing it or having tried the product. One of the strongest extracts I've had was from Gassed though so I'd be surprised if they did poor quality stuff.

I usually make my own cookies with mix of rso and D9. I eat them after dinner. That definitely works out pretty well for me. I do have a pack of the cannabis Doritos to try which is an interesting novelty.

The review system could do with some work. That's true of many reviews systems on other sites too. There's the technical headache of updating it in such a way to keep legacy ratings too. IE if you change a x/10 into a yes/no it's not obviously migratable for long term vendors to hold their rating.

I've not really thought hugely about context to be fair. I have a fairly high tolerance as I'm a long term pot head. So if it nails me, it'd blow a newbie or occasional user into space. I do try to add some details into my reviews although often when there's lots saying the same I'll keep it short.

Here, on LB, I feel that we can work as a community, support each other, and hold vendors to account for their products and service as well as helping the great products and vendor services reach a bigger audience.

I agree we could squeeze better value out of the systems we have in place here which is where this topic was born. I wondered if it was a me thing but it feels like it's a big subject. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts mate.

I’m just wondering - I’m sure there are valid reasons - but why are reviews anonymous? Start any subject matter in a Topic, not anonymous. Comment freely, not anonymous. Leave a review, and shhh, quiet, wasn’t me, hide my identity, the world falls apart if my username is attached…

Would it help with the integrity (or lack of) of the review if there was an option to show/hide username? By actually adding your username to a review you will be held more accountable. Anonymous reviews could then be taken with a pinch of salt? I dunno…

If reviews weren't anonymous they'd nearly all be 10/10. While I'd probably still have my say anyway (quote - "happy is he who passionately defends that which they believe in") a lot of people probably just want a quiet life and wouldn't want hassle with a vendor who has their address. The anonymous review allows someone to complain and walk off hassle free.

You can now click to see the ratio of the reviews people leave which I think is a cool feature. Probably my favourite part of the recent upgrade.

The current review system is far too broad to give anything more than a general idea of how you can expect things to go.

- How does "your" 7/10 compare to my 7/10? What does 7/10 even mean?

This could be drastically reduced (the majority of reviews are either 10/10 or 1/10). EG Would you buy this product again: y/n; would you buy from this vendor again: y/n.

- How many days... from when you ordered... from when you got the "sent" notification... from the next working day?

Given the different postal services available and the unreliability of all of them, perhaps more useful would be "dispatched on time?"

And then we have the issue of reviews being gamed (in both directions) and vendors issuing "sent" notifications at 2:00am on a Sunday morning...

Finally, even the best tools are useless if you don't know how or want to use them. 9/10 for +1,000 sales over four years, is quite different to 9/10 for ten sales over four months.

How many "scammed help!!!" threads do you read, check the vendor and conclude that no amount of reviews, ratings & red flags can help some people.

Being as a lot of people seem to think the "D" in "NDD" means delivery, you're probably right to be concerned.

I did see a recent post from TGT, who have created some sort of post-bot: they add details (bar code scanner perhaps), customer looks-up via post code.

But like you say, some services don't detail the date of dispatch, so that could still be gamed.

It's better than nothing and is useful despite the vagueness but I agree it could be tailored better. However what would happen to historical reviews if the system radically changed? If it changed from x/10 to yes/no how would a vendor hold their ratings? A tech team will have to merge fields that don't match. Approx 20 years ago eBay did this and just killed off ratings prior to their update as it was either a technical issue or they wanted a reset.

So to improve it would take some careful technical tiptoeing to not level vendors with a solid history and new vendors to the same rating.

I agree - buy the seller. It's why I tend to stick to the same people. That being said I've had half an order delivered almost two weeks ago and it's still not sorted out despite assurances from the seller. Will probably end up as my first dispute.

The reviews could use some work - as you correctly say, and I said something similar in the original piece - there's no exact guidelines. So it's down to interpretation. How they'd make a huge change on the format work technically though I don't know.

I always review my orders. Most are 10/10. But I've done a couple of well deserved low ratings before.

You were probably along the right lines by simplifying it and making it specific to product / service / delivery. How they'd migrate the current ratings would be the question mark there. I suppose eventually instead of reading through ratings we'll just get an AI summary at the top which will highlight delivery or quality issues across all the reviews. Much as certain Google results already do. That's where we're headed I guess.

That’s a solid write up, and I agree with the points you’ve made. Reviews are one of the most powerful tools we have as a community, and the more detailed and accurate they are, the better they serve everyone buyers and vendors alike.

The examples you gave of weak reviews really highlight how much misinformation or missed opportunities exist in the review system. A simple rating with no context doesn’t help anyone, and reviews that are misleading (whether intentional or accidental) can cause unnecessary confusion.

I especially like your take on realistic expectations. People sometimes forget that external factors, like postal delays, aren’t the vendor’s fault, and it’s unfair to punish them for it. Similarly, a vague or overly harsh review without explanation can hurt a vendor who may have otherwise provided a great service.

I think it's important to be fair. A vendor can't ask more than that. I've given vendors a ten who messed my order up but subsequently rectified it. I've noted it in the review and in the days to delivery. I believe that's fair. I've given very few really low scores and each and every one was fully deserved by the seller.

It's particularly important to new vendors. If I gave a vendor with 20000 sales a 1/10 it'd barely be noticeable and would bury itself quickly anyway due to sales volume. A newer vendor trying to hit their first hundred sales would feel that. Now some new vendors may deserve the bad rating if they've not got it together yet of course but either way being fair is the way forward for the whole community.

For vendors/customers, it can be a make or break, so it goes without saying that customers should always take care when writing them by covering the 3 points you mentioned, whether they be good or bad, constructive or just general criticism.

One of my pet peeves on multi-choice listing's is the lack of letting us know which one!

I try to be thorough with my reviews. I usually consume a blunt and then provide my review. For new vendors when I do branch out on my vendor list then I tend to comment on stealth and comms etc..

I leave more in detail reviews here than I have ever done on Amazon!

I do like leaving in detail reviews on trip advisor though 🤣🤣 can be quite fun if you're stoned to bone!

This is the way forward man. It'd be handy if lb tagged the option you chose on a multi listing. With new vendors I'm aware of the additional responsibility and I'll also mention more about the service than someone who's sent thousands of orders out.

I usually write the review as I first sample the product so I'm fair to it. I also try to make sure its my first of the day but that's not always possible. Either way I try to communicate the key points to lb buyers. On products with 1000s of reviews I tend to write less as it's not needed. I guess the core point is to leave the review you wish had been at the top of the page prior to you ordering it.

As always a well thought out, constructive and interesting post. I would have given it 10/10, but the internet is playing up here and the page took a while to load, so I'm afraid I can only give it an 8. If Virgin Media sort their act out I will of course consider revising my rating.

But seriously, you make some great points here. As a new vendor myself I know it takes a while to build up some reviews that will give more people confidence in your products and service, and that these reviews can be really important to getting business moving. Patience is the key here.
I also think it's interesting that people tend to leave either 1/10 or 10/10 and not much in-between, but I guess that's just human nature.
Also I know that vendors can interpret anything other than 10/10 as being a negative review. Whereas I would have thought that the whole point of having a one to ten rating system is to be able to add a bit of nuance, rather than just being either perfect or rubbish. So an 8/10 is still a really good result in my books, and not the disaster some think.
But you are right an honest review system is one of the things that makes LB a great place to be bothered a customer and a seller.
Oh and finally I always love the classic "The postman left the package behind the bin and I didn't find it for 2 days and then it was wet 1/10". Perhaps we should have a separate Royal Mail review section?

Most of my reviews are 10s now as I mostly stick to same vendors. But even my favourites slip up and I'll notch them down fairly in the reviews with an explanation so that my fellow stoners can make an informed choice. I've done very few low scores but each of them would have been thoroughly earned by the vendor in question.

but this platform has changed my life, i dont buy to sell this is personal, also every single order bar one went perfectly but i didnt have to open a case the seller offered to send me the refund + the difference (with price dif) and then some extra. basically love this site, love almost all the sellers special shoutout to LV and pistach to name a few, id say 90% of orders was next day when i opted for free ship buy to be fair i usually but an oz or 2

Piatella Review: is it the hash dreams are made from?

I finally got Piatella folks. I am very excited. Let's go check it out. But first - what actually is Piatella and why am I interested in it?

Hash Making Fascination:

I am fascinated with the hash making process. I really love how someone's been through the smarty pants thought process of extracting and isolating the loveliness from our favourite plant and how the process has been refined and improved repeatedly over the years. I have often spoken about lusting after the fine and rare hash called Piatella.

It's a truly artisan hash and the amount of care that's gone into creating it completely intrigues me. Making basic hash is easy. Making good hash is much harder. Piatella, with its detailed production methodology, is meant to be at the cutting edge of how well it's possible to make a hash and I suspect a super hard method to perfect.

The Official Piatella:

Piatella is a product name by Uncles Farm, I believe, although similar methods are used by other fancy hash makers such as LA Barz. I got told last time I mentioned the subject that for authenticity it needs to be Uncles version.

How to Make Piatella:

The process of making Piatella, in short, avoids oxidisation through avoiding contact with heat, light and air. It replaces these with lots of love and care.

Regular hash is darker due to oxidising. Piatella has avoided this which creates a different hash composition. Pretty high tech stuff going down I think we can all agree. Like, the people making this are probably in a clinical environment of brightly lit stainless steel surfaces, wearing lab coats and glasses while doing calculations on clear perspex with marker pens. This is sciencey stuff.

Fresh Frozen:

It's made with fresh frozen weed which is processed much like a frozen hash would be initially. I guess they're probably pretty fussy about the starter product and the filtering to make sure they only capture the trichomes they need to work with and not any plant material. I suspect a lot of care has been taken with the starter weed before any hash making even starts.

Freeze Dried:

The wet hash is dried in a freeze drier then wrapped and cold cured without air or heat getting to it. The upshot is the terps are meant to dissolve inwards and create a perfect solventless extract. This keeps all the strength and flavour locked in. At least according to the internet. This however is the first time I've had it for real. The question is will it live up to the hype?

It's Expensive Stuff:

The Piatella I have is Cap Junky from TheHashCollective. It was $60 for half a gram. Huge thanks to THC23 for kindly saving it for me 'til payday. That's a vendor that's working with the community right there and great service is always worth flagging up for all to see. However grateful I am for them saving it, it must of course be noted that this is really expensive stuff. It's not just champagne prices, it is the Dom Perignon. Will it have me in a fizz or leave me flat? Let's find out.

In the Pot:

It's very pretty looking stuff as you can see in the photo and it's homed in a fancy little black glass pot. It's not the nicest pot I've had from LB but we are in premium pot territory for sure It's got a fragrant floral scent laced with fresh resin. My nose and eyes tell me there is the potential for magic here.

In a Spliff:

To roll up with it's sticky but workable. I've kept it in my fridge to keep it cold and fresh. It crumbles into sort of fluffy wisps leaving my fingers a little tacky and smelling of fresh resin. Very satisfying. It's not like when you roll up with shatter and you find you've accidentally glued yourself to a packet of rizlas, a pair of scissors, two paper clips and a frying pan.

As I light up the joint I'm quickly met with thick yet light and clean clouds of fruity smoke with a slight hint of a hashy aroma set amongst a more gassy smell. In a blind test you'd know this was a form of hash as that baseline Moroccan hashy taste is in there amongst the flavour but it's not dry and pasty like with a commercial - it's much fresher.

Effects are pretty fast with it immediately making me aware of it's potency. It smokes like what it is I guess - a fantastically clean and perfectly produced cannabis extract. The effects continue to creep up as I plough through this joint. It's pretty powerful stuff but well balanced as a stone. It seems smoother than smoking a shatter extract and more akin to a wax or rosin but with a less pronounced flavour. It's probably not the strongest thing I've smoked although I must admit it is very pleasant and certainly not weak. Twas a very enjoyable if horrifically expensive joint.

In the Dab Pen

For the canna tech heads my dab pen is utillian 2. A small and basic device that's been really reliable and handy. I'll upgrade it eventually as the one thing I don't like is it's hard to clean. Other than that though it's a great little device.

Okay, it's actually pretty strong in the dab pen. Like really noticeably and immediately. I always write these reviews on the fly as I try stuff out and I had to pause a second or two there to compose myself and eat hula hoops before writing again. Two packets of BBQ Beef (suitable for vegetarians). Onwards.

While in some ways it's similar to a hash rosin in smoke and aroma, the sudden immediate stone is notable in the dab pen. In terms of exhale to headrush this is probably the fastest of anything I've smoked. My face and body feel warm seconds after dabbing it with a little europhic wave happily following - probably skipping along with flowers in its hair. So it really does have the pop and fizz of a champagne level hash with hipster overtones when you dab it.

I'm not sure it's actually stronger than my other extracts but it seems faster and a wee bit peaky. The flavour isn't as pronounced as with some extracts and it does have a hashy aroma. It's pretty smooth but not the smoothest stuff I've had through my dab pen and it definitely gives my lungs more of a tickle than my favoured extracts do.

Is it the Best Hash Ever?

Probably not. It is however really bloody good. And the effects feel markedly quicker for some reason. I'm not sure if it's the strain or the product itself or simply my imagination but that's how it felt to me. Like a rocket hash.

The Nitty Gritty:

While it's definitely a really exceptional product, it's not the god of all extracts and not least because of the cost. Perhaps it's because I'm on a budget but it's the cost that I just can't quite get to grips with.

So What Other Extracts Could You Buy for $60?

I currently have a diesel crumble wax that was $35 a gram and a apple hash rosin which was $25 a gram. So 2g's of pretty lovely and varied extract. I love both in my dab pen and for the same price as the Piatella I got four times as much product. I've not had an extract I prefer to the diesel for flavour and smoothness. While it's not the strongest I've had it's just really nice to dab and filled with flavour. I can chug along happily for ages with that stuff.

Conclusion:

I'm glad I've tried the Piatella after seeing it online and reading about it so much. Life is all about experiencing new things. While it was spendy I don't feel like I've been rinsed for the money as I'll get a fair few goes on the dab pen for the sixty bucks and it's a nice smoke. I expect I'd buy it again in the future for a special occasion - maybe. I don't feel like I'm missing out on a Rock Star stoner lifestyle by not being able to either afford or source a steady supply of it. It did feel like a treat which is exactly what I wanted but it's difficult to say it's in any way good value for the money.

Totally with you mate amazing stuff but I can't get past the price.
I had the myconauts cosmic gelato which is half the price of this one, but I still can't bring myself to pay it.
I noticed how fast it hit too, I described it as hitting fast like an extract but with the full body hit and stone of a bubble hash.
Myconauts extracts are definitely worth trying , I think the Pink Goo was probably my favourite.
I just got an order from TheGoodStuff and his menu is 🤯ATM

This bit was for a treat so I let the price slide. But for me it wasn't worth the extra dollars except for the prestige of trying it and understanding it in real terms. It did however pack an extra punch for sure.

I ordered from myco previously but last time I looked they had a lucky dip. I usually get a crumble wax from Dr distillate along with my RSO and D9 order currently.

Tgs I noticed have a static range that looks great at the min. I'll probably pick up another treat bit come payday.

Solventless extracts are more expensive. Cap junky is a strong strain and hits hard. Alot of these crumbles and resins now are crc'd to shit i just don't trust them anymore.
