Shroom noob - how to start?
So I have taken shrooms once before, years ago with friends and I think these were dried liberty caps, but cannot be sure. I really enjoyed them and want to have another go but don’t know where to start.
Can anyone help me out here, what shrooms do I need to be looking for? There’s many on here and I’m not sure what’s for me.

My two favourite methods I would say suggest are:
Buying ground shrooms in caps so that you can measure exactly how much you take. My recommendation would be 0.5/1g to start with.
Other method is blend up dried whole shroom in a smoothie, I like mango, blueberry and strawberry with orange and lemon juice to help them activate quicker
As far as taking them goes, I always try to not have any large amounts of caffeine or thc in my system and set aside a good few hours.
I meditate and think about my intention for the trip, even if that's just to have fun and let go. I also tend to take shrooms on an empty stomach.
Take the whole amount you want at once, splitting a dose into multiple servings can really mess up the phases of intensity.
Make sure you are in a safe and comfortable place, preferably with somebody who isn't tripping.
Just let the mushrooms do their thing, there are no bad trips, just whatever the mushrooms want to show or not show you. I find mushrooms come in waves so if you think you trip is ending just stay aware for a while longer, don't end up in Aldi on the tail end of a trip like I have 😂
Strain wise I love B+, very rare to get a challenging trip, not super heavy either. McKenna are good all round, JMF if you feel a little more adventurous.
Don't listen to people telling you to just mash down 5gs, that's the sort of advice that ends up putting people off for life

Opt for a lower dose rather than higher. It wasn't too awful, but my first go on magic mushrooms turned into a bad trip halfway through. Having it wear off sooner rather than later was an absolute godsend, haha.

I've been considering this topic for a while now but a recent experience prompted me to see what others think.
I think I'm pretty much done with buying Cali bud. I'd never tried any before joining LB last year but I've tried numerous strains from a variety of different but reputable vendors now and my overall conclusion is that I'm going to stick with well-grown UK bud.
All of the mids I've tried so far have suffered from the same issues: overly dry, barely any terps so smell & taste is crap, and a lot of the flower is clearly PGR to boot. I'm guessing the lack of terps could be partly due to long periods of being vac packed for shipping but I can't help the feeling there's a reason this stuff is being shipped over to us here in bulk instead of being consumed within the US.
Full disclosure, I've only gone up to Mids level and haven't ever tried 'top tier' Cali, so I can't say whether that would change my mind. Quite frankly, I'm not prepared to fork out $100 for an eighth when I can pay less than half of that for an equivalent amount of cracking UK produce from the likes of RealD, Druids, BB, Sassy, GC, Eddy's, etc. Every single one of them has sent me gear that's put the Cali that I have tried to shame and I see no reason to spend the extra for a potential disappointment. Granted, the top level stuff might be high enough in THC to put me on my arse after two tokes but that's not really what I'm after, especially if it looks, smells and tastes like last year's fire kindling and costs the same for 2g as a half oz of homegrown.
Do any other biggas agree or do I need to try that top drawer stuff and then eat my words?

Im more of a uk fan to be honest ,i like the freshness that keeps the terps in.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I think that terps are probably the kicker for me. I want to be able to taste my weed and savour the difference in flavours between the various strains. Lose that side of it and I've already switched off.
I also reckon that the terps play a huge part in the overall effect of weed, perhaps more than we realise even now, so it's not just the taste that's affected when they're lost.

PGR (plant growth regulators) are mostly how you get these rock hard leafless buds.use of pgrs normally reduces terpines by up to 30%.in the legal us market bud is heavily regulated and tested for chemicals,any hint of heavy metals or chemicals will see the batch rejected...guess where those batches go lol
Prices-with the ever increasing legal grows the price in the US has dropped from $4000-6000 a pound to roughly $800!! Obviously time of year and quality dependant.
You can see how shipping around the globe is far more lucrative than their home market.
Genetics-mainly down to a numbers game..superb clones are much easier to find when your running thousands of plants compared to the average uk grower running 2msq or less.however,same as the bud,it doesn't take long for any clones to circulate the globe!
Market-the uk market seems to be falling for the the old cost=quality and weed that smashes you to sleep is best!.so the cali imports are mainly indica dominant and do just that.this is a shame as cannabis is so much more than getting red-eyed and eating crisps and sweets!!
UK-there are growers like me everywhere in every town,I am a member of many international forums and have been for 20yrs.
My bud is artisan shit,the finest genetics grown with love and skill.
Yet...my bud looks white with trichomes but isn't this false cali look so isn't regarded as top notch by an uneducated market...that is until they smoke it!!
I would encourage biggys to grow their own!! For the price of a q of cali you could be up and running and be 100% of what you are putting in your lungs,have several varieties and a great new hobby!!

There are often intro offers where you can just try a g and make up your own mind about it. I've had some great top shelf 'Cali' off here that's been so strong I've had to rest through a joint, and equally I've had some that I'd never re-buy and was thankful I'd only committed to a small buy.

There is VAST over production of cannabis across N.America…honestly Google it- we are talking hundreds of tonnes of the stuff being destroyed (Canada destroyed 425 MILLION G’s last year!!😵)…so there is plenty of all qualities to find it’s way over here. I’m with you about it wanting to pay out the ass for bud, it’s hard for me because I budget how much I’m going to spend but my tolerance is high so I don’t really have the freedom to throw 90 quid on a Henry when, despite it probably looking smelling and tasting incredible I don’t feel the difference until I’ve smoked loads of it, so even for a treat for me it’s out the question.
I get live resin vapes for 60 quid and when I’m WFH I’m blasting it most of the day and get 3 days out of it and that gets me stoned, not as much as I’d like but more than weed but again the price point don’t know about you but I don’t have £500 + month for loads of options I just work a normal job.

IMO proper cali smokes are way better than most UK. Average cali is absolutely hit and miss.

Quitting tobacco and combustion update
Just a quick update as I posted something similar on reddit and a couple of people who are also trying to quit messaged asking for how it’s going. So I thought if anyone else is in similar boat i’d post a little update here as well on how it’s been and to also give a little place for people ask questions or for any advice.
So, it’s been a rollercoaster couple weeks for me, from losing my job and therefore having to move out of my flat 😢, to trying to quit tobacco and combustion, and then coming down with a horrible bout of the flu at the same time, it’s all been a bit of a whirlwind. But i’m very pleased to say i’m officially over 1 week tobacco free! However, i did combust (without tobacco) over the weekend with my flat mates as a final farewell with me leaving this week, but that was more ceremonial and a practical reason rather than caving in and needing to combust.
The dry herb vaporiser has been an absolute god send, and thankfully it’s made not using tobacco a lot easier than i thought. I’d highly recommend anyone looking to quit either tobacco or combustion or both to invest in one. The taste and terps you get through the vape are unrivalled and completely different to smoking. i’ve been on BBs future#1 which has been lovely and super clean (I was going to post a full review of this but as it’s out of stock now it may be a bit of a ‘dick move’ to talk about some great flower in depth if another bigga reading can’t also purchase). The stone is so much cleaner than with smoking, and having variable temps so you can really dial in the terps and flavours of your bud is great. Flower also lasts a lot longer and I can get decently stoned with around 1/4 of what i’d usually use when i’d smoke. Also you can use your ABV for edibles so you really do get the most out of your flower and with my financial situation right now I definitely need to get the most out of my flower.
I’ve definitely been more determined this time round with the tobacco and actually wanting to quit, instead of knowing I should quit but not actually wanting to quit if that makes sense. That change in mindset for me has helped a hell of a lot. I used to really like the throat hit with the tobacco but now with the dry herb vape i’ve found it so much better due to flavours and cleaness of the stone that it out weighs the throat hit for me and I can’t see myself going back to tobacco anytime soon. The thing i’ve found hardest with the tobacco was quitting the rollies in social situations. I tend to have a cigarette after i’ve had a couple drinks at birthday or christmas party or whatnot, and my will power fades very quickly after a couple drinks. But it just takes 1 night of not smoking to realise you can socialise and have a drink without needing a cigarette and I think it’s more habitual rather than something you need, well at least in my case it was.
Flower usage is also up quite high atm as my health conditions worsen quite considerably when i’m stressed, and these last couple weeks have been super stressful, so i’ve been medicating a lot more than I usually would. So i’ve had a lot more usage out of the dry herb vape than I thought I would at this point so maybe i’ve found coming off tobacco and combustion a bit easier as I’ve been vaping a lot more and therefore had more opportunities to get used to it.
I’m quite happy with where I’m at atm, and I can’t see myself going back to using tobacco with flower again, however I can see myself rolling a joint on occasions or when i’m with friends or something, and i’m happy to be at that level for now. I’ve even found combusting with just flower now to be not as nice as vaping and i’ve kind of gone off it but yeah I can see myself combusting and rolling a joint on the odd occasion still.
Sorry about the long post as well, I’m very good at rambling and feel like i’ve just verbal diarrhoea’d a massive post (very easy to do when you’re a bit stoned and feeling creative) but I’ll be sure to try cut these down in the future.
I may make another update if people would like to see it or anything changes from my side, but if no one’s interested i’m happy to leave it here.
Also, if anyone has any questions or would like any very mediocre advice from myself about anything, pls feel free to comment or send me a message and i’ll be sure to answer as quickly as possible 😊

I'm on day 125 of no tobacco after 23 years. Also day 82 of no nicotine. Only like a week off combustion atm, but it's a start. It's very achievable, you just gotta really not wanna do it anymore.

Think I've found a new jet lighter that'll work with dirty gas so I'll soon be ready to go. Got a few other dry herb vapes lying around too.

I’m pretty sure a lot of brands will say how many impurities they have per million in their fuel. In my experience ebay and amazon tend to have quite a lot on offer that might be able to ship to you quickly if there’s no smoking shops around.

I got a Mighty+ about a year ago so that's good for the weed but not sure what to do about the cigs.
Liquid vapes seem to be worse with the popcorn lung thing so I contacted Storz & Bickel to ask them why they says the Mighty isn't suitable for tobacco?
They said they don't recommend it because nicotine has no health benefits but it's fine to use it if you want to.
I tried both rolling baccy and cigarette baccy. The cigarette baccy was awful. The rolling baccy was ok.
I won't lie, it doesn't taste great but it's the best way I've discovered to get a nicotine hit without combustion. I might try it making a mix :)

Of course mate, I initially got a wolkenkraft aris but when I lost my job I was given a £50 amazin card, so I returned it and upgraded to the nectar hex and used the £50 to cover the difference.
It’s been great so far, can fit around 0.2-0.25 in the bowl but i use the dosing cap usually to make cleaning easier, which can fit around 0.15-0.2 in that.
battery life lasts around 6 full 9min cycles. I tend to use one bowl per 9 min cycle and increase temperature from 180c-210c over the 9 min heat cycle.

I’ve had a bit of the gentleman dealers Pakistani hash this weekend.
It’s a really nice black hash. It’s fairly firm but softens nicely and it has that amazing squidgy black earthy spicy smell.
The high is really nice, it’s not overpoweringly strong or narcotic feeling more mellow and dreamy.
Definately worth trying for the dollar.

Its been a few years since i have been but the best shops last time were MrK&co and family first and also I had a great time in Reefer - they had some fire dutch and import. for me its more about the atmosphere - I am a chilled stoner and cant stand the ultra busy and loud shops.
Katsu, Mr K, Family First, Bagheera, Bluebird. That's probably my current top 5. I was last there in December.
Probably my favourite Coffeeshop if I had to choose one. You can always rely on Solo’s quality, especially their hash.
I love 1eHulp, for quality of product and a nice place too, a bit of a walk out of the centre but worth it
1eHulp ('First Aid') is a great choice, and not the only good reason for walking out of the centre, it's in a cool part of town. All the best bits of the Dam lie beyond the Prinsengracht. Flower Power round the corner on the Rozengracht is my fave, I discovered Manala Cream in there. Yum!

been twice this year, babas coffee shop was my personal favourite, good price dutch, great seating and a ball vape ready for you to use if you would like at no extra cost. It’s not in central (15 min bus from station) but i also absolutely love basjoes if you’re lucky enough to sit in the booth.

Intolerance to people's BS
An overwhelming desire to do fuck all
A lack of dreams (mine were crushed years ago anyway)

True but my hatred goes beyond rational, to the point that half of my life is dedicated to plotting various methods of his demise. My favourite would be to not actually kill him but plant some kiddy porn on his PC, ruin him proper, Glitter styley
Long term use has a deleterious effect on my short term memory and cognitive function (although it seems to stabilise a few months in). I can mitigate some of those losses by taking CBD before bed, but it sucks because it also kills your buzz.
Also, not sure this is a side effect or a benefit, but I often have moments of insight and clarity while high. Things I'll bury away, procrastinate over, or stuff that simply exists in my subconscious will come to the fore. In some people that triggers paranoia and anxiety, but for me it's a catalyst to grab a pen and record my inner monologue.
That said, I'm due a huge break (starting March), as I have some writing jobs to do and I need to learn to drive because my mum is chronically ill.

Paragraph 2! Spot on. During a paragraph 2 moment, i decided to report my manager to the Regulatory Authority for our industry. Which I then did.
Weight gain. All strains manage to give me the munchies, and my self-control flies out the window. I can plow through a block of Soreen in under five minutes - I shit you not!

The only real negative effect for me is short term memory loss, which the pros massively outweight the cons.
I have Asperger's but smoking weed helps massively, my thoughts tend to race but with weed it slows everything down, I can focus on one thing.

I was a late teenager and combined with hallucinogens and later spiritual practices had some kind of brain rewiring that was terrifying and awe inspiring.
I’d quit for nearly 20 years before trying again about 4 year ago but that grew and I’ve been consuming and experimenting daily since lockdown. I even grew my own - 3 solo cups of StarDawg, Black Hulk and Easy Bud. Well proud!
I’ve always been sensitive and having a more psychedelic experience wasn’t uncommon. Even on tiny one hitters and I had a year of not only having a tiny tolerance but intense highs that were mostly bringing my subconscious to the surface and tbh all hell broke loose in all areas of my life. Like psychedelics, if you are of the persuasion to be interested in the big questions or have a past that’s traumatic, then it’s going to make you face it and give you the stark reality of the human experience.
I’ve been able to work through it but I fear for the masses who are embarking on their inner journeys unprepared. Not my circus but I have a heart and an understanding that the truths revealed can be devastating to the mind as well as freeing, perhaps providing the liminal space for humans to evolve that’s drowned out by this materialistic and oppressive world.
I love being high. It’s addicting for me. The escape. The creativity and ability to think and pose multi-angled concepts is simply exhilarating and I believe can help solve some of our most challenging problems globally, and locally in our families - my wife hates it but prefers me on it for example. Her hate is ignorance mind.
I’ve realised that for me, daily is more about tolerance, habit and escape. It’s our choice but you have to live with the costs and as someone said, the weeks and years go by and one can be happy with just taking life in… philosophically, I do have issues with this so I’m looking to be more ritualistic and purposeful with it as well as have moments when just to enjoy and experiment.
I’ve been shocked by the tolerance build up which really became noticeable after I found LB 🤣 seems a waste as I found in the last 2 months that the high doesn’t hit as hard or as long and that sucks ‘cause you feel like you’re chasing the buzz but it’s not, it’s the escape for me, but I’m aware of it, and I’m in control.

also started using cannabis again in lockdown after about 20 years.... looking out the windows high AF thinking fuck this shit was true enlightenment lol
Yeah, weed makes me super withdrawn if I let myself smoke all the time, it's ended relationships and has brought my current one to the brink, Im trying therapy and smoking less indica during the day.

Once you know what’s really in your head it becomes easy. Bud makes you really understand, helps you get deep into your thoughts. It’s like a light bulb moment when you wake. Takes alot of work but we keep on tokin 😁

Peace. Freedom from 90% of my physical pain. Inflamation reduction & much more. Those are long term, 50 years, it builds up.

I'm over 50, in gainful employment, reasonably fit and slim but an unhealthy diet for balance. Vape daily up to 0.4g but usually 0.2g max. Anyhoo, about 2g max a week but I'm using less strong flower just now, with better gear, I'd be using a lot less. Don't drink alcohol at all.
I too find incredible moments of clarity, especially after a hard day.
Vaping means i dehydrate a lot quicker and need to drink more water. I'd say my balance is less than 100% probably due to residual effects if anything. Overall I'm doing ok. The knowledge i have gained over the years and still need is not yet affected by daily use. Possibly a good barometer for things.

After ~15 years of heavy use daily I've got short/long term memory loss but I used to take other drugs so I'm not sure. I've got a neuralogical disability and weed helps keep me out of a wheelchair ect. The desire to be alone is because of choosy beggars not weed. Also I'm a huge man baby, also unrelated (maybe).
As with everything, moderation is key, as a habitual smoker, smoking daily for many years through pipe or bong, minimal use of tobacco, I am unsure whether its caused or calmed my temper.

Long term for me personally it's had negative effects on a huge scale. I am day 4 off weed and feel so happier. I have seen lots same similar. I am dreaming again. Gym and Swimming. Weed really kept and held me back all my life.
Similar to psychedelics, it brings anything I’m avoiding or ignoring to bare. Which can lead to both productive and counterproductive action. Overall I think it helps expand consciousness if you’re willing, appreciate nature and the fact you are part of it. Not something that’s alien and just here by fluke. Sometimes I think it activates something that throws subliminal tests at you. For instance with the munchies, I know not to eat veggie oils, colourants, refined sugar and anything processed/ not organic. But when stoned to the bone that bag of haribo or sitting doing nothing sure does appeal. if I cave and do the above, the next day I’m almost ashamed I let the gremlin win. But if I push through eat some fruit and go climb that mountain, I feel instantly fulfilled. I know this may be abit nonsensical but I’ve been sober this week😂

I have to say I’m pretty sure my memory has been adversely affected, but it’s almost impossible to say for sure right? There’s loads of factors.
But, the benefits are pretty substantial like. The shift in perspective was huge for me, I think it’s why conspiracy guys are often stoners - there is a sense of enlightenment at times, as wanky as that sounds.
There’s something communal about smoking as well I think, and I think it tends to make people generally more community minded, nature friendly and left leaning. Could just be a correlation or whatever but it’s pretty cool imo.

Smoking weed helps me stay slim 🤣 I don’t get the munchies, I eat less, when I quit my snacking increases and I gain weight!

We are running out of viable antibiotics in the world as antibiotic resistant bacteria increase.

So a few years ago my sense of taste changed and now I can only taste sweet sour etc (not the actual flavour of things) now when I smoke, not only does my taste go completely but my sense of smell after just 1 toke of a joint, gone, completely. It slowly returns as my high lessens.
In a nutshell, I’ve had every blood test going, seen maxillofacial, a brain scan and ENT. No one seems to know why my taste changed and no one obviously wants to help with the fact that weed kills my sense of smell.
You guys are my last hope. I know chances are probably 0 but was hoping someone could maybe suggest something/someone else to help me get my taste back and be able to smell a joint when I smoke it. This was pre covid and I’ve always smoked flower

I got covid in October 2020 and it stopped my sense of smell in it's tracks.
Whilst my partners sense of smell returned - mine didn't and for about 3-4 months I just had no sense of smell. I was eating the spiciest food I could find(prior to which I wasn't fond of) to taste SOMETHING.
One day it returned, totally distorted. Nothing smelled or tasted right apart from chocolate.
From this point I perceived anything with alot of fat to smell rancid. Walking past a chippy is still excruciating.
Plant matter tasted like mouldy food smells. All plant matter apart from onions, garlic and coriander which tasted like sour milk, shit and sour apples respectively.
Nearly everything apart from sweet stuff tasted different and most smells were nauseating.
30 odd months later I would say my smell is at 70%. I have parosimia.
Extremely dulled alot of the time - but i believe there are some promising therapies for these smell and taste issues people have since covid.
Stellate ganglion block injections have seen some success
Smell training has seen success and has kicked up a notch since 2021. I believe there is now a machine that can just spray out different smells on it's own in order to programme your brain to recognise the smell correctly.
Vitamin D drops have seen some success too.
Repurchased epilepsy medications like sodium valproate have also seen good success in returning people's smell..
I only taste urb on the first toke too. I really need to concentrate on tasting the exhale to counter this which is not a conscious decision most of the time. I have to concentrate which means I can't relax which is paradoxical to smoking weed 🙂

after a quick google search i can confirm this is an extremely common issue and one i have myself even when i’m not smoking but have smoked a day before, it dulls the senses and if you stop for maybe a week it comes back even stronger; i stopped for 2 weeks and couldn’t believe the shit i was smelling and tasting it was crazy it felt like a new sense and generally felt so strong

Perhaps candida, i get that when i change my usual black coffee to white.
Candida is having too much yeast in your system, screws my tounge and taste up,
i've a low lactose tolerance and some food allergies. Without my inhaler i wouldn't be able to touch many foods and drinks i do now.

My past 2 orders have been marked as sold out after I ordered. I was sent awful replacements. One was mouldy outdoor weed that just makes me feel sick when smoked. The other was slightly better but still outdoor average weed. I was compensated nicely for the first one, but told it was my fault for the second one and sent a 50% reship. I feel ripped off and dirty. I prey for the day weed is legalised and I don't have to be treated like a mug by strangers over the internet.

update to this post. goods were resent and arrived two days afterwards. also had an upgrade on some more expensive buds for compensation.

I’ve had great service from Pistach until after the Christmas break. I ordered some hash which took 14 days to arrive. It was marked as sent but when I chased after a week I was told they needed to reship. I also ordered a 1/2 of shake, and although it arrived next day - it was garbage. I don’t think I’ll risk using them agai

The sold out / equivalent thing is basically a way to bash through a load of stock without having to reconcile any stock control. Flog it all, send a replacement with no consideration for the buyer, then never ever address anything publicly.
It's almost like 'Never complain, never explain'. Pistach the king has a lot in common with our royal family it seems.
Haven't used them since 2021 due to pure and outright dishonesty, getting called 'dear' in communications, and not responding to test messages I sent to see if they were even worth another punt.
The more eyes that open, the more obvious it will be.

I have also posted about my 75 day NDD with Pistach. Getting called dear (for me it was "sir") or Sir made me feel I was dealing with our corporate departments in Africa and India. I do not use them now. No one else should.
lol they done the same to me but offered a 10% discount on my next order. Ordered shake off them twice after that and both times I just received a bag of leaves with like no buds that when vaped instantly turned to white ash and barely gave any clouds. Wasn't sure if this was just because I was using shake in my dynavap but previous shake from other vendors worked fine so I just thought pistachs had lower quality. But from pics I've seen from other people I have the feeling pistach just don't like me lol. Or maybe I've gotten incredibly unlucky. Only ok order I've had with them was my first one from ages ago and it was there mac1 shake which I recall having much more nugs. I wish I was having the same experience with this seller as some other people but every time I've bought from them I've been disappointed and received something that I was better of not buying. I might try both their shake options again at some point just because they are within my price range and I feel once they get it right with me ill be a very happy customer, but if what I received is the standard for pistach so far then I definitely wont be making a purchase again as the only word to describe my experience with them is shit.

I had a similar experience with RB a couple years ago, and have since transacted around 30k with drugs Inc and not had a single issue, I did have 1 package go missing en route, but this was replaced immediately with a better grade of bud!

Yeah he done me dirty like that first week of feb, ordered a Z and he sent some cheap replacement. And then had the cheek to offer me 7%. Yes you read that right 7% off my next order which is nothing. But because I WAS a regular I had faith and placed another order, just for him to disrespect me and send some outdoor replacement again, but had the cheek to label it like it was what I ordered. He definitely won’t get my custom again, I have spend a ton of money on Pistach but never again

Always dispute if you're not being treated well and told it's your fault. Plenty of other great vendors on here. This could be happening to lots of people but if they don't dispute then it doesn't become public knowledge

my last order off pistach was only 3 or 4 weeks ago and everything was fine, there is other decent vendors on here though its just about reading reviews and the ratio of sales to overall 'score' they have
I’m a complete newbie, so I don’t get it. This vendor has 0% dispute rating. That makes it look like all their sales have been good and all issues resolved. Yet loads of people here are saying they essentially got scammed..? How does that work?
I feel scammed by Pistach but didn't file a dispute. He replaced 13g of a 14g order with things I didn't want, and without messaging me first. Initially he claimed he didn't check to avoid any delays in case it was medication. We then eventually agreed a resolution which was me getting at least 3g of what I had originally ordered, instead he sent me 5g of stuff I didn't want and claimed this was a favour... I didn't file a dispute because I feel like I still got more than I paid for - at least in terms of weight - and his profile says he will replace strains if they are unavailable. But because I didn't file a dispute, doesn't mean I don't still feel scammed by him though and I will not be buying again from him.

I've been getting good results from a Levoit Core 300S air purifier. It ramps up if you have it on auto and smoke in the room, and takes about 10 minutes before there's very minimal smell remaining. No more complaints about smells in the house since getting it. A couple of cans of Febreeze doesn't go amiss either.

I also have a Tisserand Diffuser and some of their Aromatherapy oils which are great at hiding smells. It also has a slow and soft changing RGB light that provides a nice atmosphere. I would recommend their De-stress oil it genuinely enhances my high and makes me even more relaxed
I also pretty much always have my windows on latch so that fresh air is ventilating all day, vaping directly out my window helps keep the smell away too

We smoke most of our joints in flavoured blunts , ThePlatinum brand. It really helps to mask the stinking weed into rather sweet smells. Saying that, our most neightbours smoke so we wouldnt really known if nonsmokers are smelling any shit coming out. Small charcoal extraction should do the job pretty fine along with some diffusers around in the room. Buy yourself an insense burner/holder so that you put it next to door or window to help it mask even more. The best that works for us is , we burn oud on choal , it just perfumes the whole road :))

Yeah thats the thing, everyone smokes in my current place so its hard to really gauge the smell properly. I used to think it didnt smell at all until someone told me. Charcoal keeps coming up so i will check it out for sure.

Carbon filter with the fan sounds good, as long as it doesn't direct the smell out. I've never lived anywhere where all my windows open out to busy bodies 😂

It was always one-skinners for me, but the hash quality on here got me lookin for something less wasteful. Also want to give up the nasty tobacco.
Dazzler and some other very helpful Biggaz got me into the Dynavap and I've never looked back.
Very versatile wee tool with a bit of a learning curve, but it is great for herb and hash.
Unbelievable how long the hash lasts in it... Saturday night after dinner I loaded a blows-worth of THC's Sanfranhashco ICC, wrapped lightly in cotton bacon, and was able to hit that all evening and into the next morning (glass bubbler and BB9 setup). Hitting bud at the same time in another Dyna/one-skinners. Toasted! Next day a blowsworth of Hashishins Apple Tart, and it lasted most of the day.
Very impressed so far, and just about to start into reclaim!

It's a large globe. Was in a mad buying spree at the time and got the first one a saw on am--zon. Can't find it now tho, went back to look. 15cm high, pretty happy with it so far, works well with the whip.

Cotton bacon/muji is now dead to me since I discovered dosing caps. Less messy for sure; you just grab 'em with tweezers, torch them and blow them out to clean them. No messy chamber or bits of brown fluff sticking to everything. Perfect.
I have a few but I always go back to the cotton. I feel that the dosing cap restricts the airflow especially with flower. There is no scientific basis for this other than my stoned ass opinion.

😂 Tip is just heat treated rather than anodised.
When using caps with flower, try removing the CCD if there's too much restriction. You shouldn't have any issues with hash blocking airflow with caps if you put in a sensible amount, but the same goes for that too, especially if you're more of an open airflow guy.
The stem I'm using is the cheapest one I have. It's a hula with a 10mm taper. Best tasting, best hitting, most versatile stem I have. Switch seamlessly to water whenever I want. The only issue I have with it is that it doesn't fit my Futo stash.
(Also, it needs a clean as I had an accidental combust earlier, but this is my favourite Dyna set up.)

Glass came from Grasscity. I won a $200 voucher a few years ago and splooged on a couple of bongs. It's a Grace Glass special ed, so it's likely Chinese made, but to a much better spec than their usual stuff. I've actually dropped it a few times and it's survived without a chip or crack 🙏

Just got a dynavap m+ with a dyna coil and that works really well with hash, I haven’t tried the cotton/hemp bacon yet in the main chamber so can’t comment but I read somewhere that cotton bacon can contain bleaching agents, found a place on eBay that sells completely natural cotton that’s not been treated, now I’ve no idea which is best! 🤷🏽♂️
I have to say though that I’m loving the Dyna, so much better for the lungs and saving on wastage by using small amounts that last ages. Dunno why I never made the switch ages ago, it’s a revelation:)

The Dynacoil is good but a bit pricey just for a small bit of metal. Does the job without the need for hemp cotton or anything else, just pop the hash in the middle of the coil and you’re good to go.

For me it’s all about the consistency of the hash. As a rule for me I heatvto the click and add 4 seconds.
Have an inhale and gauge from there.
Full melt maybe less to start with until you get a decent inhale.

The mighty has a convection conduction heater.
With the dyna it’s the oven you’re heating and controlling the temp.

Ummm, would you mind if I jumped in with some queries please? I have both a Mighty+ and a Yocan Evolve Plus XL and I'm completely new to both dry herb vaping and concentrates as they weren't a thing I'd ever encountered when I quit smoking in 2016 and started again this year.
Anyway, I'm frankly baffled by both concentrates in general and what to do, and I end up falling back on just rolling joints. The Yocan seems quite fiddly to use, and it's incredibly difficult to get any concentrate onto the little platform in the centre of the coils and I really can't get the hang of it (and I have a spare pack of coils for when they invariably get ruined). I bought it as I read horror stories of people using concentrates in the Mighty and wrecking it, and I have those little S&B metal pad things, but I can't work out how to best use them either. I find I'm mainly smoking hash in joints too, as I'm baffled by the temperatures to use for different things and effects in the Mighty+...

Thanks for the reply! I have the ones in capsules and the big one that fills the chamber on its own (I basically bought all of the stuff that looked like it may prove useful). How do I use them? Am I better off just using the sandwich method? The Mighty is far less fiddly to use, and it would be much easier to set up a few capsules at the start of a session. What temperature ranges would you suggest? Would it be different for live resin than hash? Presumably higher for the latter? So many variables.

So the take-home message I seem to be getting, reading between the lines, is that I should only ever use it on max if there's anything other than just flower in there?

I bought the coils that Eddy said and then bought 1g of that delicious white chocolate. Hopefully that'll work much better! I'm a very lazy man, and more so when high, so hopefully this is less fiddly. You wouldn't mind if I picked your brains with future queries, I hope? I think I'll have a lot of questions until I'm comfortable with this whole thing, but then at the end of it is hopefully more people with decades of tolerance out of their minds, as my mate was when smoking some Wham in the Mighty with me a few weeks ago as he muttered to himself, "Too high" for a number of hours.
Hey bud I find with the yocan you have to put a decent amount in but then it last a good while also don’t worry about getting it dead centre just on top of the coils is fine . Once you load it up and can smoke for awhile it’s a great bit of kit. Recently got the yocan xtal coils of Amazon for concentrates give a much cleaner tasting hit 😮💨🤤

The FMJ - full metal jacket, lol, is the wee copper ring around the cap, to increase and hold more heat. I like it and find it useful with hash, others maybe not so!
The stem is a BB9, really love that piece. Dazzler got me onto it and it's a great addon.
An extra tip, cap and stem means you have two Dynas, and can hit some green while the hash tip is tied up the bubbler. That's my logic anyway, also having two can be handy when one is being cleaned.

It says in the FMJ blurb that you don't have to rotate it while you heat any more, but I still do rotate(?!).
First time the false heat-up. Heat to click, then cool down click. Then immediately heat again until click, and even up to 4-5 seconds past the click depending on your hash, then into your water adaptor! You'll notice it takes a bit longer to click with the FMJ on.

I crumble/break up my hash as I would for a joint, tryin to get as much surface area, form it very lightly into a size that will fit the oven, then just a pinch of cotton, to lightly cover it and hold it away from the oven wall, then into the oven and cap on..

I’ve been tobacco free for a long time now so very rarely smoke hash in a spliff as I’d have to mix it with flower and I like to feel the effect of the hash on it’s own.

I use a chillum just make sure you've got extra stones to go inside. Also nothing better than putting it in the freezer first. It's simular to a bucket but hits harder
On the rare occasion I smoke hash, it's via this modded pipe with 9mm filter and glass insert.
I didn't have a working power tool to hand at the time so I manually sanded the ebony bowl to size (never again lol).
It's a classy, smooth, cool experience.

So I've woken up today with what seems to be a hash hangover. I'm not even here to hype anyone's product but this hash is disgustingly good.
I've smoked A LOT of hash in my time but this takes the piss. So sticky and soft that it's almost impossible to work with! My fingers are covered in resin from just touching it! The strength also takes the proverbial. I consider myself quite tolerant to the strength of weed/hash but I've woken up today almost as high as when I went to sleep.
The smell is animalic, with an almost fecal undertone. It's quite something. Very impressed. A legit 10/10 on this.

It's not restamped if you can be arsed to check like I did the lines aren't as straight as they appear. What looks like outlines of a stamp is shading from the light ripples on the plastic.

I had a previous customer say he doesn't like the hash as it does not taste good and I was shocked because honestly this is my personal go-to. I told him to hand grind it into really tiny pieces rather than a worm or large pieces... After that he LOVED it!

I think people see this listing and think it's just another run-of-the-mill designer stamped commercial Moroccan when it really isn't! It's super super resinous and softer and more delicate than a freshly cooked brownie out of the oven.

I'm writing a script and some of my characters are on a serious amount of LSD. I took it myself when I was younger but that was a long long time ago in a galaxy far away. I've found loads of non-fiction accounts but I was looking for something more creative.
There is a stark realism that shows he has definitely “been there” but the craziness and quantities involved have to be fiction- I don’t believe anyone could walk away from those levels! (Even Jonny Depp in the film version!)

I'm curious to weather people like hash and think It's stronger than bud in most cases.
Looking online, places like reddit lots of people say its stronger and hits them hard but it's the opposite opinion on here, heard lots of people saying its a weaker high which doesn't add up?

I find Reddit is dominated by N.Americans and they don’t do a lot of hash, I don’t know why, it just seems to be more a European/Asian thing🤷♂️
The UK is jammy full with cheap commercial stamp hash right now (as is reflected on this site) and no it mostly isn’t very strong but can be smooth and pleasant.
If you can score top quality (genuine!) Moroccan, Afghan or Nepalese hash you are in for a treat that is as strong and generally stronger than any weed 🤩🔥🤩

thought so polly, out of the 9 hashes I've tried only 2 have been decent, bought 2x once and think I got sent wrong order because was extremely weak.

I think the hash in UK/Europe was historically driven by climate? I only knew a few mates parents that grew in greenhouses when we were teenagers....it never turnedcout great TBH.
More geography than climate. Historically the indica plants grow in arid mountainous regions like Afghanistan/Morocco and made into hash as the bud wasn’t as good. These places where easier to get to Europe. Historically the sativa plant grows in moist tropical regions such as Colombia/Mexico and the bud was of good quality and remained as bud. It was easier to get these to America.
Not in joints. This has to be mentioned as it does not burn enough to get the full effects if you put to much in. I wouldn’t want to know what gets added to that hash either because in all cases it is contaminated. A tiny bit in all the good bits and lots in the others. It’s kinda obvious really. Pesticides that get used in the growing weed under lights or in the open are then pressed into rosin hash or other. Especially the leaves in shake in my opinion as these soak up all the containing contaminants in the air. It’s common sense really polly. I see your comments here a lot and sometimes they make sense. But not on this one or home grown weed which was average years ago that I could grow for in my garden for 50 an eighth northern lights style. £5 for 3 seeds and boom northern.there is no joy or pleasure in spending £50 an eighth on weed that is no better than £25 that I can easily grow in my garden or Wow it’s local or organic. Ok. And no proof it actually is organic. I’ve had huge recommendations for a superior vendor who appears from time to time and his weed burned black and needed relighting.if you all want proper advice from someone proper but unrated give me a shout. 10/10 legend on here he. Polly you def are a legend. And I take your advices on here. Reddit is definitely dominated by N Americans, and we really don’t have a solid hash market here. At least not that I’ve stumbled upon. So I come on here and there’s hash everywhere! But it’s confusing because I watch the conversations here and it’s always back and forth about how terrible commercial hash is, or commercial hash isn’t that bad, or this person or that person has the worst or best hash. I’m currently waiting on 2 hash orders (my very first real hash). And I’m a little freaked now because I don’t really know the difference between good hash or trash hash. So I based my orders off who has the best reviews and have been mentioned on thread such as this one. Should I be overly concerned with trying hash off LB?

I think most Biggas are surprised by just how much hash is available here right now but that’s great in terms of choice for both strength and price. Not everybody wants to blow their socks off and prefer the easy going smoothness and affordability of commercial stamp hash. Others like something a bit special and look out for filtered hash imports that can give a real kick but come with a higher price tag.

Yes a lot of people say it is a weaker high due to impurities hash advertised on here. 90% of the hashes sold on LittleBiggy are standard commercial cut with either henna or worse.

I like hash because I like all weed. It's usually not my first choice because I do feel it's overall weaker in effect compared to buds. Which is not a bad thing.
I would say the hash high feels like a twin sister to a bud high - not exactly the same, but pretty much indistinguishable if you don't know them well.

Don’t sleep on the sunset sherbet, I guess you could say I’ve been promoting it a little recently just from my love for it, it just works makes you feel warm and happy whereas others I’ve been trying don’t compare
DGT have been very good and they follow through with messages to make sure everything is ok. Plus 1 from me for their stuff.
I grew up with hash in the 80’s…red seal gold seal rocky leb all great stones. Joints hot knives tumblers and yoghurts were all the rage back then.
Time the mid nineties came with the dreaded soap bar and slate. These hashes where mixed with some not so pleasant ingredients. Dealers even sprayed henna hairspray to add weight.
Then weed appeared on the streets and we were getting stoned again.
Nowadays for me the hash is so weak and generic.
Only had a one or two good hashes on here the gentleman’s lemon kush being one of them.

Weight for weight hash should be stronger as it’s just the trichomes of the plant rather than the bud with the trichomes attached. Despite that I don’t think hash is as strong purely because most of it is made from landrace hybrids. When you see, for example, gorilla glue hash, it’s unlikely made from the gorilla glue strain and instead probably a hybrid of gorilla glue and the landrace Beldia (specific to Morocco that is). Potentially it’s just pure landrace beldia and the farmers just put a recognisable label on it to identify their farm (e.g Porsche stamp, Rolex stamp, etc) It wouldn’t be grown in controlled indoor conditions but outside en masse in the Moroccan sun for example and so won’t be as potent. If someone was to actually grow some proper indoor high grade strains and make hash from it I would guess it would be a hell of a lot stronger. That’s why stuff like bubble hash and isolator hash is strong because it’s usually made for potency and quality using indoor grows whereas the outdoor large scale farms in Morocco etc are going for high yields and hardiness for growing outdoors. I’ve used Moroccan beldia as an example but other areas of the world have their own like the Afghan hash plant, Pakistani chitral kush, and the strains the make charas and Malana cream. They’re all made from landrace strains that have adapted to their region such as the Himalayas and so can be grown outside as crops.
As with all things you have to be able
to source the very high quality hash. I’ve been fortunate enough recently to try static sift, full melt sift, Cali dry sift and x3 filtered plates. These hashes will compete with and in some cases be far superior to a lot of bud. Not seen these genuine hashes on here sadly. All you tend to get here is standard blondes. Some of those are pretty strong but the terps and taste on the high end hash is unreal. Expensive as hell but worth it. If any vendors on here can get anything like that I’m interested. I used to pick up bars upon bars of top quality (high grade) Maroc for 1.60 a gram & commercial for roughly the same price
Happy with both couldn’t get better bang for your buck anywhere and sometimes on par with really good bud
Ketama gold was lovely peppery on the nose but really strong and heavy high
Proper gold seal Afghan when good couldn’t be beaten for the value and the high was really nice
Then one day a friend passed me a bar of orange cookies and cream ice water hash 300 quid a bar
Honestly smelt like what people consider Cali bud (top shelf in other words)
tasted like top bud and hit you like it couldn’t miss 15/10 stuff
But the problem is there’s that many decent looking hashes that are shit mutton dressed as lamb
And there’s that many hashes that are commercial sold as high grade or similar
I paid 350 for a bar of some sticky lovely looking hash that ended up being just ok no better than commercial
Possibly just cleaner and far more expensive than decent maroc
A good honest supplier is basically the difference these days
I know the prices on hash have gone mad over the last few years I.e why I don’t bother with lumps anymore
But there’s some fantastic hash out there just gotta find the right supplier

I think a lot depends on what you are using to make the hash, and to some extent the skills of the person making the hash but ultimately it’s GIGO - garbage in, garbage out.
Exactly my point above. You get what you pay for not just weed or hash anything but it’s a tightrope as you want to get the best bang for your budget. Whatever that may be.

I’m a long time toker - whole life pretty much and as these skunks have got insane over the years my tolerance has massively built up. I can smoke very strong weed and not really get much hit these days so have turned back to hash on and off. I love the taste which helps (being from the old days just the smell makes me feel 16 again lol in me fifties now) but more importantly I def get a better hit off the good hashes. They’re a little dearer but a really nice treat. And even the stamps on here are infinitely better than the shite that went round in the 80’s and 90’s.
So to answer your initial question - no I don’t think ‘hash stronger in most cases’ - I would say ‘some cases’ - and only if you wanna pay out a little extra for the proper stuff. There’s some top stuff on LB :-))

Some of the ‘squidgy black’ available in the 80’s and 90’s was amazing. I remember getting lots of ‘slate’ which was cheap and a bit crap. Remember it? The stuff that would go into hard little balls only to cascade all over your clothing as ‘hot rocks!’ I do like a nice bit of hash though and like you gives me happy reminders of my youth. When it comes to which is stronger? Too many variables for a straight definitive answer.

Generally speaking, I would say that most of the traditionally made Moroccan/Indian/Afghan etc hashes will get you less stoned than if you were smoking a nice modern day strain of weed, but iceolator hash or filtered hash thats been made from modern strains of plants will be stronger than the flower.

I'm from Norway, living in the UK, and back home hashish is very much the norm still. The street standard there is miles better than the hashes I've bought from LB. In Norway hash is also generally cheaper than flower. I've given up hashes from here, as I don't want to spend premium on street standard. The affordable hashes are pretty much useless in my experience.
Also, we mix hash with tobacco, usually 1g for 3-4 cigarettes. You can roll a joint from that no problem, or smoke it in a bong. Dance a flame around the cigarettes to 'toast' them, remove the tobacco from the cigarettes, remove the sticks and crush it a bit. Then press the bit of hash flat into a disc, put it on the tip of your finger, dance a flame around it, and right before it lights put it on top of the tobacco flipped, then dance the flame on the other side and mix it up.
Yes my friend 🙌 Alternatively empty tobacco onto a plate and place under the grill, give it a good cook then add your high grade hashish and grind into a nice bong mix.
By definition hash is stronger than weed. Of course only if they come from the same plant. All the green material (bud/leaves) is just a carrier for the trichomes (hash) it has no psychoactive content whatsoever. That is all in the trichomes (hash). The quality of hash here in the uk is extremely poor. I have posted about this before. Chew a small piece ( 1/4 of a grain of rice) and it will crunch. This is a contaminant and 90% of the hash is like this. Even the high grade stuff. Vendors on here with the Leb have a clean product (3 vendors?) but is not high grade. Made an order from someone a few times, latest order has never turned up, from what I can see it's a courier issue and at no point questioning the seller, however I messaged to see if they can do anything to assist and they kind of went mental, saying I've disputed the order, got 48% back, how I've broken his rules and I am banned from buying from him... I didn't expect anything in the sense of refund, resend etc... More looking for advise as still new to the site and getting use to it, so totally shocked!

It's 100% your right to dispute the order with the borgs, but I think it's also worth mentioning that it's a vendor's absolute right to refuse to sell to anyone they decide.

Not entirely sure why you're having a pop at me buddy, but in my experience, (which is fairly extensive at this stage) I'd say that "sometimes" (as I said in my original post) people forget this isn't Amazon.
I've had countless abusive messages over the years from people who either haven't read my terms and conditions so get angry when their order is cancelled, or complain in a vile way after 24 hours saying their item hasn't arrived, (even though I send First Class only and don't guarantee NDD).
I'd suggest that until you've had to deal with these things personally mate, you don't really see both sides of the coin.
Again though, you're entitled to your opinion. No offence meant from my end.

Got in touch and asked if they will meet me in the middle with it - top me up to a q if i order a 3.5 with the stuff i had ordered but not received and theyve said no.
Im not the type to be wanting to cause issues but not really happy about the situation. If i could i would send the stuff i didnt ask for back but i doubt thats gonna be an option and Ive not got the kind of money lying around rn to be blowing another £70 odd before my next payday.

On the one hand it’s tricky’cos this ain’t Amazon but that doesn’t change the fact that you are entitled to get the products that you ordered.
Some vendors think they can make substitutions but in my view they need to message you first and agree that it’s OK. Personally I always get pissed if I get a substitution. In fact I’ve often messaged vendors at the point of order asking them NOT to substitute (doesn’t always work!)
If a vendor agrees they sent you the wrong product then they should work with you to put it right (even though I was recently told to stop making a fuss and “calm down”..really?). Sometimes it’s your word against theirs, some Biggas do try their luck and vendors have to be on their toes too.
I think your request is reasonable if you’ve made it in a reasonable manner i.e to top your next order up.
You can dispute this order, but you are at the very limit of what auto settlement Borg can do for you. It’s likely to be a small % refund unless the vendor has bad history of this type of thing.

(not even the weed I had ordered) .. after explaining it was the peanut butter I had ordered I then got a reply saying it was due to the new customer thing, now look im not new to lb just on a new account, as any stoner will apreciate a lost password here and there happens in life 😂 ive also already made 3 orders on this "new" account (which might I add is 2 more than the seller has actually purchased himself on lb) so yeah not sure about the whole security/troll thing .. as I explained a much more simple solution if theyre paranoid would to be just not give me the tracking info that I paid for 🤷♂️ simple as that the seller knows it has reached its destination from the signature.
I just think cancelling the order with no explanation to the buyer until the buyer messages them isnt great business, and lets be honest how many orders do you need to have placed to meet this bar theyve set ? It doesnt mention on page, 5? 10? 20? Maybe let people know beforehand because buyers dont like having btc in waiting for refund 😉 ...

Agreed, and at what point do you become a trusted purchaser, is there a magic number of orders? Its the buyer that has made the leap of faith by parting with their btc. I only have a dozen or so orders behind me and still wonder if i am considered a noob?
I feel your frustration but there really is a simple solution:
Before you buy drop a quick message to the vendor to check they are happy with your planned order. I have many many orders but I still do this with any vendor I haven’t used before because a good way to assess anyone is by the quality of their comms.

he cancelled my order without giving any details as well. took a good day to get my refund back too. this was a couple weeks ago and hes now got a new page so 🤷♂️ all id say is avoid this vendor definitely not worth anyones time. plenty of better vendors on here

Just about to start flushing in next few days but noticed just under one of the colas this... Is it mold? Maybe bud smothered in crystals? Is it nothing? No idea lol

Maybe looks like too much nitrogen but could be due to a very low temperature when lights off here in Scotland. Cold temperature's turn leaves dark purple apparently.
High humidity, not enough dryback periods, high nitrogen, more moving air? Theres quite alot of things that could trigger it. But if you cut away affected areas and dont see it climbing up or spreading then its a good sign of recovery, if its still climbing/spreading then the plant is a goner and its too late to recover.

Sorry to say, Definetly looks like rot, can spread quick once spores release, You can get neutralising spray to deter it from spreading however its best to be cautious to not ruin the rest of your crop especially as your onto flushing it's too late.

This is only my 3rd grow. How long should I ideally dry then cure? I didn't cure much before but smoke was still good
In my opinion curing for 3 weeks minimum is perfect, However this ranges from plant to plant.

I’ve always trimmed before I hang to dry (only grown a couple of times), can you normally do it after drying? Does it make it easier when dry? Most tedious part of the process…

Thanks pal. Was waiting til the trichomes on the bud started showing amber before flushing but that's now out of the question. They started going amber on the leaves tho so hopefully still be good smoke?

Will still be a good smoke, surprisingly it usually just makes for a trippier high when the trichomes haven't changed to cloudy amber, alot of people usually mistake this for a stronger high.

What your thoughts about white ash and oil rings? Does it really matter?
In my opinion weed which smokes white ash have a much better taste.
As a grower I can say that not every strain burn white ash, you can flush properly then dry perfectly and still get black ash.

Personally i think it's complete nonsense. White ash can be nasty and black ash can be great, it's completely strain dependant.

Bullshit, if it burns black then hasn’t been flushed properly hence full of nutrients that get locked in the bud, leaves, or has been sprayed with a chemical to add weight. Any vendor that says it alright just wants to push their product
Yup, i actually like to leave my ground up weed for an hour or two to kinda "air out" before i smoke it. I'm a bong and spliff guy (old school) and just think it makes for a more pleasant inhale. A bit like letting a bottle of red wine "breathe" for a while before you drink it.

It could do, never really thought about it. Personally I don't notice a loss in flavour just a slightly smoother hit but you could be right. (I could just be imagining it being smoother though... maybe it does nothing at all).
It's mostly because I have a bit of a bad chest so anything to try and make it a bit smoother. Really I need to switch to vaping completely but I just can't get to grips with it after so many years smoking. 😞

black ash usually indicates unspent carbon locked up within the bud, this can happen for various reasons, drying, curing or moisture content lock up.
however there isnt much isolated research on the relation between the nutrient uptake and unspent carbon or black ash to even say that its bad or good.
usually great flushes do get whiter ashes, but sometimes no matter how great the flush is, youll still get that greyish dark ash colour.

Bottom line is does it mong you properly and does it taste nice. Personally I don't give a frogs fat arse what colour the ash is, can be purple for all I care as long as I'm munted
Beforehand it was one of the first thing I looked for when sampling a batch. But nowadays I've had strains that burn white and they are weak as and not very terpy. Conversely I've had strains with darker ash and they are the BOMB. For example the Animal Mints has the darkest ash of all the Midzotics and yet it is among the tastiest and strongest. While it matters to a degree I think this is one of the latest stoner obsessions. For example a few years ago everyone obssessed with PGR. Got to the point where some people wouldn't smoke anything with big or dense buds because it meant PGR.
Saying all that though, I tend to avoid weed that burns BLACK. Not dark grey but actual black. Gives me PTSD from the days when people used to spray their crops 🤮

Speaking from a science pov black and white Ash with the carbon content of weed would be only indicating the amount of heat used to combust the weed. Simply put if its black it was heated under 450°C and not fully combusted. The best indicator to tell if it has additives is if it pops and sizzles when being burnt.
I think you're about right there... so it doesn't really matter, in and of itself.
Something burning with white ash whilst leaving oil rings is almost certainly going to be top drawer. But there are also plenty of top drawer smokes that don't burn quite like that.
So it's a reasonable indicator of quality - but by that point, you're smoking it already. And frankly, that's my preferred way of determining quality anyway!

Had a few fakes on here recently purporting to be Afghan / squidgy black old school hashes which have been complete garbage. Maybe start of with tester s and build trust first rather than low prices for 3.5g and above as it looks too cheap. Once bitten…

Personally, I tend to opt for hash at music fests. A nice fresh, sativa-leaning Moroccan is ideal. Great vibes for music, indulgent tasting but discrete in a crowd... and not too lethargic or anxiety inducing!
If it has to be herb... I go for diesel strains in that context (NYCD being my favourite in social contexts)

Was just curious how people are storing their bud once delivered? I tend to order one big order a month so never really storing longer than 30 days means I tend to leave it in what ever its shipped in.
Any input on containers, places, pre-grind? etc let me know.

Echo others comments but I've had unground weed and hash in basic mason jars in cool, dark place for 1-2+ years and honestly no degradation in quality. For you at 30 days should be fine too!!
You really should get it out of the vac pack asap.

Excellent advice Pollypuff20 and Hesh 😃 I’ve seen these other products called Cannador Humidors which you can store up to 9 strains in the Jars within a fancy wooden storage box to keep them really fresh it’d be a dream to have one of those one day 🤩

My main requirements for a stash are stealth, currently in baggies/folded vac bag and tucked away in my office. Secondly, keeping strains separate, be that in one holder or multiple small ones.
Any specific product tips to meet these needs would be great but more than happy with what I've learnt so far!

Always happy to help 😃 for strain separation that is always best to get a few different size jars so that you’ll know which one is which in case you have a preferred night time strains and want to keep them separate from day 😃
Also without them being separated into different jars if you had one strain which is drier than the other then the drier strain pulls the moisture and stickiness out of the other ones and the flavour/ terps too. This is why the Boveda are great as they’ll either increase or decrease the jars contents moisture to 62/ 58 % humidity depending on which one is used 😃

Happy weekend to you Coxroach1 😊 Miron UV glass stash jars are great and mason jars are also great too as long as they are kept out of the light. 😊 it’s best to have jars which are similar size to the amount of bud you have in them too 😊

Glass jam jar fine for these periods mate, would keep out of sunlight but wouldn’t block glass so you can ogle your buds still 🤣

Can’t beat a jam jar in a shoe box in a drawer, mine being my office drawer so it’s my domain.
For extra security I’ve got a smart contact sensor on the drawer. I won’t stop someone but I’ll know if someone else has been in there!

Jars are usually the good to. If you can manage the humidity and keep it in a dark place, you're good as gold.
