If you think about it it equates to a shorter conscious life (as it does not increase your lifespan) so not sure I'd want that.

I used to avoid thinking about the period after Christmas New Years Eve but a couple of years ago I started to enjoy January's. I enjoy watching people frantically running around at Christmas and how there seems to be a collective mood of laid back workers. And not much can beat that feeling. People come together to help the homeless at Christmas. We just have more sympathy at Christmas and nothing can beat that. Honestly, I look forward to eating healthy in the January period, my brain actually craves fresh health meals and I have a fresher outlook on life in general.

Gut health and brain health are linked in a bunch of ways, I've been reading a bit about it, there's millions of nerves connecting the gut and brain, the gut is producing most of our serotonin which directly affects our moods, they've linked poor gut health to Alzheimer's and possibly other mental health conditions recently too so there's more than a few direct connections.
I read about the vagus nerve and what it does, it's like a little caretaker for our whole nervous system, regulating everything, that can be damaged by stomach ulcers and when damaged can cause all sorts of problems, I guess i'm wondering with all these direct links between gut and brain whether we're actually feeling something that's sending very real signals but signals we don't understand properly?

think of what c - suite execs are paid and every one of them can be replaced by an a.i. with existing technology. lots of them are just figureheads already.
Until technology is liberated from the capitalist mode of production & the private patents that create AI, then no. A.i under a communist government or socialist state could be used for good and help toward automation. Look to china where sophisticated computing has been used in public spaces to better traffic flow, keep public transport running and deliver goods and services. But A.I alone wont create communism. For communism to be achieved Revolution must happen first and the dominant ruling classes replaced so the means of production for AI are utilised by workers and not elites.

Capital owners already exploit technology to reduce costs and lay off workers, ai is just another part of that.
AI and automation could be used to give people more time off, pay more for less work, improve work life balance etc, or it could be used in the way described above.

ive been using revolut for a couple years since coinbase started asking to many questions and becoming troublesome. every revolut btc payment first went to an external non custodial wallet held by me before paying the transaxe tx.
regardless, recently I got a request for more information on a 1 year old tx. inspite of providing the requested information they found it to be in violation of their terms, which suggests they're going through the blockchain to see where funds end up. this doesn't surprise me as at the start of the year they got their banking license and need to cut themselves off at the kneecaps in order to be compliment with crypto regs.
they don't need to tell me twice. I'm going to try buying some btc in person to avoid this shit going forward. keep doing what you're doing if it works but don't put all your eggs in one basket if the custody of funds are outside of your control ✌️

I doubt this problem is unique to revolut, just that they're being extra judicious after recently getting their banking license. crypto laws in the uk make it so legally operating businesses bare responsibility for doing more checks than they used to, which tickle down to a bad time for people like us.
buying crypto in person is less problematic in that it's a p2p transaction so doesn't require kyc checks. new problems arise from it being a random person you're doing the transaction with, so there's a certain amount of risk involved. websites like localcoinswap let you filter by this type of exchange. I can't vouch for it yet until I complete a transaction soon.

How big are your transactions? Tbh I’ve been doing <100$ orders for almost 2years now straight from Revolut to the transaxe wallet (ik not the best opsec but I don’t really understand the risks) and not had a problem
They have a limit of 50 wallet addresses you can send to, so I was doing btc orders of about $1k at a time to keep the number of transactions down.
I can also say i have tried both coinbase and kraken. Coinbase wanted loads of i.d etc and froze the account eventually. Were as kraken works fine and has done for at least a year now. I would go with kraken haven't had any issues with them what so ever

Thanks for your response. My account is registered in my name email etc. But i only buy weed with it and the odd offshore crypto gamble now and then. Guess we wqill have to wait and see what happenes then.

Just use kraken its very good and easy to use, with the only downside i have experienced being that there is a limit on the number of transactions you can make every 24hours but its only happened to me once after making about 25 transactions in a day and it was back to usual the next day.
Yeh they eventually do that to you, you can bullshit your way out of it for a few months but they eventually just close the account. I’ve used Paybis now for a few years and just send straight to the receiving address, not had any issues as of yet

I only buy crypto directly from Paybis and send it directly to an external wallet address without any issues. I also emailed Paybis today asking them if i had to pay tax or any associated fees when buying and sending crypto directly from my account in the UK and they said NO.

the government is using the information they acquire from legally operating crypto firms to "remind" people who have acquired crypto that any profit from fiat withdrawals are taxable. I know it was a legit email because the gov were bragging about it in the media shortly after that declared income from the associated taxes went up not long after taking the step.

This all sounds like a bit of a nightmare. If I am buying crypto on CB and sending to exodus wallet and then sending from that to purchase things what kind of record could be requested and how could I prove I have no crypto, showing cb and exodus balance.
if you're buying from CB you should be fine. they keep a record of transactions in your account history. even if you send to another wallet first (good practise) the blockchain is a double edged sword in that it's transparent so you can follow the trail until it's mixed with something like XRP. so long as you never cash back out to fiat currency, and make up a good excuse for the transactions, you have nothing to declare and should be fine

if you do larger value transactions, you can point to any expensive item in your home and say you bought it with the crypto. no crime in that. for smaller value, say you're playing a gacha style crypto game. they might think you're retarded, but that's ok. rule of thumb is unless it's the tax man asking questions, you say nothing. speaking is self incrimination. always good to be on the ball but also don't worry yourself about it to much 👍

However no matter the amount of coins that are availible if they are not wanted then the price goes down.

The cryto world is even more fickle then the actual stock market. CoinBase is one of the biggest market places / sellers of crypto so it put a lot of people on edge. Been downward a lot since then.

Last comment on this subject from me;) humans are almost clones of each other. For example to apes are always more genetically different than any two humans and they basically do the same in life due to most being born in to similar situations. As an example the BLM movement (btw I support equal rights for all races, genders etc.) have tried to expunge slavery and that part of history. Taking down statues of former slaveholders and so on won't change anything, we must remember these things happened so that they don't happen again.
Because of slow or no change for certain groups there is an attempt to accelerate that change from an evolution to a revolution. People will only be backed into a corner for so long whatever their political inclinations. Some people think they're pushing for positive change but real change is when we've learned the lesson.

Well the statues are an example. They are subjects for posterity but they also memorialise history and certain points in history. As such they connect themselves to that history.

It's hard to get antibiotics of a doctor or even if you have toothache with waiting lists high. People have sold antibiotics down the bottom of the items page for years on here just not from this country.
I have experienced this first hand, family member with very bad cough (over a long period of time, impacting sleep and general well-being/health both physical and mental) and possible chest infection told to wait by a GP instead of having a possible treatment. This prolonging the agony of the individual. Eventually they were given said antibiotics but after an unpleasant and unnecessary wait IE made em jump through hoops. Pretty inhumane. Also wasn’t the vile health Secretary, Tory ratbag Coffey caught selling antibiotics on or admitting doing so?

It’s the running and operation of them post Brexit which is worrying. The EU has clamped down on theirs due to the massive sums of tax avoidance and allegations of smuggling occurring within them, usually linked to large corps and very rich individuals.

Sure. When you think of the Libertarian "rules", you ask whether following the rule is important even if you follow the rule without understanding why the rule is there. Libertarian in the Rothbard sense is a relatively new thing and American. For hundred years or so prior elsewhere it meant anarchist or agrarianism. It's still very much in use in that vein.
Conservative Libertarians in the US are also linked to dominionists like the Mercer family and the hard right theories of Patrick Buchanan

Does anyone know anything about this? I recieved an email today from Revolut saying that from tomorrow I will need to give more information when withdrawing crypto, ie, the persons name im sending to, my address, etc. Anyone else had anything like this?

Ive been through coinbase and different banks but those have all been eliminated for me down to the banks blocking my crypto transactions. I will lose a reasonable sum to inheritance tax on my death and although it's annoying I also recognise that it's unavoidable if we are going to have a society with any degree of equity or hope for 95% of people. Compound interest over 100s of years creates massive fortunes often in terms of land and property these are finite resources. You can also gift huge amounts to your children before you die, if you get rid ten years before you pop your clogs IHT doesn't get it.

The infrastructure of the country is what has allowed an individual to accumulate the wealth. If someone is so greedy that they think it is preposterous to pay inheritance tax they are free to live elsewhere. The problem of the ultra-wealthy finding ways around paying any taxes at all is another issue of course. And yes the country is still mired in feudalism hence the landed gentry still being around and anachronisms such as hereditary peers sitting in the house of lords.

I know that sounds heavy and I always answer these types of questions like this, I got diagnosed as Diabetic when I was 11, mum died , up until I was 17 my dad and me were bumping heads and I hated it (not linked to my mum I was adopted my birth mum died) I had times after where good stuff happened but I feel like I got dragged through maturity quickly because loads of stuff went to shit because of bad luck In life, my dad used to get pissed and just rent every night about needing to grow up and make money, came in the night before my 13th birthday bladdered and went “you’ve got copied video games for your birthday you’re a man now so do you need to do silly birthdays ?” And it went on from there.
Struggled hard as a kid, was very clever but could NOT wrap my head around things and did what I could, got to uni after winging it for years and failed miserably, went from hated job to hated job and here I am now at 31.
Got my own mortgage , beautiful amazing wife and a baby due in 3 months but I’ve had a wall in front of me for so many things for years that I’ve never been able to explain or get past, the depression for the last 12 years where no treatment, meds or CBT has helped has made me so cynical, jaded and overall angry and disappointed with myself.
I looked at a diagnosis for ADHD in my early 20s and got dismissed as a young man after Ritalin and after 11 YEARS on the NHS register with nothing and 4 on two private lists I was finally diagnosed 2 months ago and started medication ten days ago.
Decided to tell my dad about it last night he linked a daily Mail article saying it’s a myth so I spent two hours disproving everything that article said and he basically just said “You’re fine as you are you’re just anxious “ I’m not anxious.
So the meds are supposed to be working now but you can’t mix it with other stimulants like coffee and I drink about 4 pints of coffee or energy drinks a day to stay awake, same for weed apparently conflicts with the tablets which I smoke daily and alcohol (drink when I get the chance to feel chill).
So even though I’m on meds and titration to see what dose works for me I’m drinking on holiday, was assigned them maybe last Monday? Had to get my Bichon put down on Tuesday he had kidney failure and it came out of nowhere and because he was so silly and daft still it broke my heart to watch the life leave his eyes even if it was the right thing to do, so I’ve got grief, depression and drinking all on at the go when I’m meant to be seeing if these tablets stop me losing my temper at the smallest change.
Sorry for ranting, this wasn’t even the question I’ve just listed off everything wrong with life. Just needed to get it off my chest it’s been brutal lately.
My answer though, probably 17 to early 20s. First time getting my feet out into the world, I was a little geek until I was about 15 until I started coming out of my shell and really capitalised on that from 17 haha tried a lot of new things did a lot of new stuff but ultimately I wouldn’t relive any of it, just trying to do my best now for the sake of my soon to be daughter and don’t want to be freaking out because I can’t handle her crying so meds it is.
It’s funny, they were only really prescribed at this crucial point because if I hadn’t had meds at this point (been getting told for 6 months it’s a few weeks away) my fear of not being equipped to be a man let alone a dad would have probably been causing me to have a mental breakdown at this point.
I don’t want anyone to think I’m asking for pity, I’m not I’ve survived this long and will keep surviving but I think all your choices in life have clearly led us to where we are now, and even though I’d love to be back getting a blowjob and a stripe and feeling like I’d finally gotten free, the lessons I’ve learned from them have taught me some very important life lessons.

Honestly, it's hard to pick. Life is unique, precious and fragile. We can't go back, only forward. So, I'd say now, purely because we've made it to the fucking future!
For me personally, I'd go back to a time before My kids had been brainwashed against me. So maybe 4-5 years ago, was a happier time for me. I took it for granted and life made me pay the price hard. 4 years later and 1 run through family court I'm still at square one.
Honestly, I'd give anything to have my kids back, but I am starting to accept I probably never will and one day I'll be fine with that, just not today.

This site isn't all it seems, when I first found little biggy and would scroll down the items list, my eyes would glitter green at the amazement of what is on the menu. But it's just not the reality....
My first order was underwhelming weed but I was happy it arrived and wasn't rubbish but it wasn't all that. Part of my second didn't arrive, my messages ignored and I had to dispute it relentlessly messaging to get a replacement as I was told it was my address. My third order wasn't sent out next day delivery despite paying for it. Then I recieved an oz of something gross and another item nothing like the photos. I've given the benefit of the doubt, reviewed fairly but honestly. That's $2100 spent on what I ask?
I made a large order over a week ago and it still hasn't been paid. I tried making one final order days ago with an extortionate bitcoin fee to jump the queue and that's still left unpaid. It's pretty much impossible to buy in here right now. I called my old street dealer as it's more reliable. I'm totally off Littlebiggy now, I have atleast $1600 in BTC just lost somewhere. Transaxe only reply vague ambiguous answers or ask for more info and it comes to a head. No reassurance. Sorry to rant but I have no idea based on my experiences how this site is even going. Atleast with the streets you have some level of control over getting what you buy and you don't feel robbed. If my dealer went off with that much of my money for a week, there would be a serious problem but on here it's totally okay? I think I'll research some alternatives or stick to a limited street selection as this is ridiculous

I’m sure there’s a degree of beginners luck and I’ll have my turn for a bad order, though I spend probably more time than is healthy browsing LB and reading posts to get a feel for what’s good - there are often posts asking for recommendations that are a huge help.
I’ll take that over having to meet a car full of teenagers huffing balloons and smoking weed selling me the same old stardawg or GSC from god-knows-where, likely grown by trafficking victims or kids, any day of the week. If the site is the provider of the vendors and there is bad vendors on the site, then in turn it must be a partly bad site for some of us. Sorry if that offends people, I'm not here to argue if its my fault or not but if they wasn't given 10 stars for shit weed or hailed as a top revirwed vendor when they're clearly not then the advertising of the vendor is wrong. Like I said, I gave the benefit of the doubt and still made a large order from here but the bitcoin issues are impossible and no-one seems to know anything about it. As governments take over the economy partnering with corporations and the super rich we are left with something that looks a lot like feudal times.
I think there has always been feudalism in one form or another. There is always a class that ultimately owns everything because they can confiscate it, grant it a "title" or tax it. This premise always leads to same outcome it's just a matter of how greedy or insane the current landlord is.
Everything consolidates one way or another, thats why decentralization is both great and doomed.
Anthropologist David Graeber did a book about about this myth called Debt. There is no evidence for class dominant economics bar this relatively small and recent period of time. Obviously the myth has more value than the reality.
probably starting from the neolithic era yes with the only exception of the 20th century, the only period of history where people got a bit of control of the power. Now is going to be lost for decades to come.
We need to look on the bright side, we are actually free serfs. We are free to seek a new master and we can seek redress in the crown courts, unfree serfs couldn't. However if we hadn't spent so much bit coin here we might actually be free with the value of it now.

Walk down most high streets here in the UK and they now pretty much all look identical the same shops, coffee shops and chain restaurants with very few independent offerings. The cost of rent, business rates and all the red tape make it pretty much impossible nowadays for small independents to even start up.
Watching a show about fisherman on the BBC painted a picture of the EU quota system they must use and how the industry is dominated by money and huge boats and how these owners buy up small fishing boats and take the quotas these boats have to use on the mega trawlers.
The car industry seems totally monopolised now and we actually get very little choice - notice how the different makers share chassis and engines and the only real difference you get is the interior and badge. Everything else is pretty much controlled by rules and regulations.
It is obvious that these big players of industry are in cahoots with the those that set the rules and regulations as we saw with the emissions scandal with VW and EU collaboration.
Covid and lockdowns have exacerbated the situation as many small business owners left without any financial supports have gone to the wall while government loans to the huge corporations sit unused in their bank accounts.

There are vendors items on that wall that have had no reviews in almost 400 days. Given how easy it is for the owners of the site to make anybody they like invisible to the wall, I find this incidence really puzzling. I hope there is no favours involved in that?
On the last reviews of the particular example item I am talking about (there are many more items like this on the wall) 3 of the last visible reviews in the last 5 from over a year ago are saying the item didn't arrive, vendor ignored them and comms were really bad.
Meanwhile, some new vendors wait and wait and wait to get an item on the wall, but never end up there.
I think this is provably unfair, if I'm really honest.

I love this place, I really do but the reality is that more of these kind of places will pop up as decriminalisation advances through the West, somebody will copycat the idea for a lightnet weed escrow service with a server in a legal country - and at this point it would not be too hard to change a few simple things to improve the model we have here.
I think the site owners really need to listen to the people who use this site and actually implement some changes that people suggest.
A good example was months back when everybody lost loads of money on Truss' and Kwarteng's historical mini budget disaster. Somebody started an initiative and hundreds voted FOR change to currency listing to £'s so we aren't all at the mercy of the exchange rate as well as btc fluctuation. Not a single fuck given by the site owners.
I don't think it will take alot to make this place hard to better.
