For me the Mandalorian is the best of all series AND movies - bar none.

My fave movie is still the ESB (which shows my age). Rogue One comes second.

Return of the Jedi has some amazing stuff in it but Bill Bailey has a major point: the Ewoks....

Out of the new stuff I was disappointed with Kenobi, Andor is pretty much adult Star Wars but the Escape from Alcatraz feel drags on and on.

Out of the movies Solo could have been good but the actor playing Han is lame.

That train heist is in the Mando league though and that Lovecratian Kessel Run is wicked :-)

Star Trek is a rehash, Star Wars is adding great new things to a large, living universe.

Do you mean Jar Jar Binks was a great new thing? No, that was an omen of things to come. As for the new trilogy, somebody must have been put in charge of supplying adult diapers to the original cast members. Probably changed them as well.

Both franchises are getting as old as mythology, this op ed piece from syfy (yes they have op-ed pieces :) ) hits it on the money for Trek.

Have to agree, kirk is my favourite but his last few was hard to defend.

I like both though lately they have both been crap film wise but i would say star wars is better just from their tv series The Mandalorian its a great show and they have some really talented producers cutting their teeth on it,if they can keep up the quality with the new shows they announced coming then the future looks bright for them,Star Trek tv show on the other hand is bollocks and needs to stop dicking around changing canon.

I think they have both been rubbish for a long time. Probably since the 80's. Just milking it.
