You need the mentality to ride the volatility. The press love to deride btc when prices drop 10-20% but that’s just another normal day in the crypto-verse! The fact that forecasting asset based values are so often wrong, forecasting crypto is basically nuts. If I had to predict anything it’s this: the rich are going to do far better out of crypto than the man in the street....
Btc is becoming a ‘gold’ for crypto, they aren’t related in the same way as gold/silver but that’s its position now. Basically BTC is slowly becoming inefficient to spend with due to high fees in periods of volatility and as the price increases, so do the fees. I have no doubt Btc will hit 100k/coin in the next handful of years

BitCoin is a terrible medium for buying items!! It is like Weimar Germany, prices increase over night due to currency fluctuations, 4% in the last twelve hours!
When I discovered LB back in January, I also discovered how to buy Bitcoins. At the time, I ended up buying £3 worth of Cardano. Why? Completely at random because the coins were very very low and I thought why not... I'd forgotten about those until today when I realised they had risen by 500% since. Wish I'd invested £3000 instead! Some say it could reach $10 within a few years.... It's currently on $1.13... Who knows if it's worth investing in!

Timing the market is hard. When btc was 36k I took 25% out expecting a pull back then again at 44k and it just hasn’t happened yet. Lots of people are expecting btc to hit 100k by the end of this year and eth 10k... if you’re holding long term go for it and don’t worry about the volatility.

A friend of mine did but entered around 280. I thought about joining him but I felt I was too late so I looked for the next big thing. Dogecoin. Just left that with £400 profit, got in around early 2p and left late 4p.

Speculating on Btc isn't investing. It's gambling.the usual advice regarding gambling applies- only bet what you can afford to lose.

Personally cities are the most crowded and loneliest places on earth. Small undeveloped villages have imo happier more content folk;)
probably true but villagers are very much self selected. its easier to leave a lot of these places than stay.
I've experienced alienation and isolation in cities, but on the other hand I grew up in a coveted rural part of the UK and it now feels like a retirement home for those who can arbitrage their metro area homes and live off fat pensions here. It's increasingly like suburbia down to the aesthetic of the houses, increased prevalence of out of town shopping and total car dependence to do anything. Folks from major cities and the South East fall in love with the idea of rural England from their holidays, then transform it into a copy of the suburbs that they fled from. Access to nature aside, it's pretty dull and has very few work and social opportunities so I can't wait to move back to the city personally.
No sure I’d call it a Big City but of all the cities I’ve been to and that’s many, I’d say Copenhagen is the one I’d like to live, it’s no metropolis but it’s just incredible.
Munich is a great place to visit. Granted, I haven't lived there, but it's clean, friendly, multi-cultural and there's plenty to do. Oh, and the beer is tops.

I went to Australia for a ‘year’ well meant to be a year, came back home after 2 months, just didn’t get the appeal at all. Wasn’t what I’d call eye opening or life changing in anyway.

You shouldn't be allowed to claim any benefits while in full time employment. It's crazy, we are basically subsidising employers who ought to be paying more.
And I hope that, one day, employers decide paying a living wage is more important than ever increasing profits such that in work benefits are no longer necessary. I propose a link between maximum and minimum pay within an organisation. Let's say; no pay ( overall package including bonuses, perks and dividends) higher than 5x the lowest full time salary.

there are community outreach programs and obviously government funded systems like food banks to help, but the crisis only really exists because the capitalist system is designed that way. we have the resources to end world hunger but it's not economically beneficial so it will never happen

If we ask what communism is attempting which is elimination of hierarchy, collective ownership and resource equality it looks good on the surface but in reality if you look at Cuba and ask any Cuban that managed to fled the country they will tell you when communism is applied through force and suppression it disrupts and destroys instead of harmonising. Communism is inherently tyrannical. History shows that. There aren’t any examples of success for a reason. It goes against the human spirit. Millions more died die to its tyranny than under the Nazis but you never see documentaries on the BBC or Netflix about Stalin, Mao or Pol Pot. Capitalism isn’t perfect by a long way but meritocracy is natural and drives progress. People to an extent sort themselves into roles and structures on natural ability and interest. Socialism just teaches people to rely on the state whilst the state gets to dictate how people think and behave. It’s ideological tyranny on the one extreme and financial exploitation of a liberal society by the few on the other. My grandad was a carpenter and paid his subs to his union for years until he acknowledged the financial and ideological corruption that it was based on.

Sometimes you wind up in a place you never wanted to go .. and it rocks.
Montenegro, Albania, Slovenia, Romania, Gambia, Israel
wasn't really enthused as these were all group trips but fucking hell they were all sick. You could tell em you were going to Somalia and i would probably go with you nowadays, the world is vast, interesting and beautiful

Romania is fantastic👍….Transylvania genuinely spooky…lively and young street drinking culture…stunning women (all vampires obvs)…
I'll second that. I travelled from Cornwall to Bucharest by train last year, them onto Bulgaria. Romania is bloody stunning, especially as the train line followed the Danube and you could see across into Serbia.
krakow poland exemplifies many eras of europe with castles, squares and poignant reminders of ww2. the people are very friendly and the salt mines are a wonder of the world - the spot in the pic is carved out of salt hundreds of feet below ground.
Vietnam or Laos. Vietnam blew me away. Favourite spots were Hoi An, Tay Ninh and Can Thó. Stunning.
Please god don’t leave the city centre/Cape Town it’s like a different world outside of the capital but I’m from Cape Town ( originally) it’s actually a very western cosmopolitan place like London with a cool “woke” downtown full of expensive bars and Islington/camden style living.
It’s also on the beach with a Mediterranean style climate 1 hour from most national park and safaris.

I was lucky enough to work on festivals/concerts and did a tour of Denmark that place surprised me really nice people, amazing beaches , also the outer Hebrides had amazing beaches

New Zealand is easily the most beautiful place I've ever been. Absolutely stunning. I wasn't particularly excited about going there at first, I thought it would be a bit boring, but after spending a few days on the North Island I completely fell in love with it. I even considered living there for a while.

Yup, Cambodia is my favourite. There's a hostel (or was) that sells (or sold) very tasty burgers also pre roles and edibles.

If you’re South Asia bound , Laos although has a clear tourist path nowadays very easy to leave it , Borneo for amazing wildlife that if we carry on will probably be gone in a few years, Hampi in india like being on a weird cross between Mars and ancient civilizations , jailsalmer india again ancient city, for the smokers the himilayas in india

Can anyone remember this gem of a film from 1999. I found it in my attic and it is still a masterpiece after all these years. Anyone who is nostalgic about the nineties, get it watched now! I swear, you will not be disappointed.
Great film, special for me cos i lived with director for 4 years and he wrote it during that period. So its my early 20s on film pretty much. Nice one bruvva is an evolution of how we used to scream down the phone at each other, (and still do) with names instead of bruvva.
It is superb and just represents his zest for life and fun and sillyness and funny situations. Under table snorting scene just one example of the talent in the cinematography.
If you liked this, i would urge anyone to check out his largely unknown second film "i know you know". A different affair about him and his dad and mum, but stunning in different ways. Also his older college stuff, party politics, life in the bus lane. On YT somewhere i think.
The sequel to HT is confirmed btw in case you didn't know.

Wow, that is amazing. He captured a perfect picture of life and it is totally relatable. The whole film was so well done and the cast was just spot on. You will have to tell him how amazing he is. I was 19/20 when it came out and that was a typical weekend. It just gives you the warm and fuzzies. I would be totally buzzin’ if there was a sequel. I will have to do some digging and see if I can find his other stuff. Thank you.

Thought someone had moved the bushes in front of me so I began to climb through it. The bushes hadn't moved.. I had crawled down the middle aisle in front of everyone, walked along the screen and preceded to climb through undergrowth.
Luckily some kind people came and pulled me out of the bush and explained to me what the fuck was going on and directed me to the nearby tea tent. Memory a bit patchy but I think I was having fun.

Ive had two off super hans which top the list for me. His pink cookies was absolute fire, absolute jetfuel, and the gelato 45, last christmas was so good, despite being $100 a henry, (a price i swore i’d never pay, i went back 3 times). That was absolutely exceptional.

We get so used to our own minds that its hard to see how people can be so fundamentally different.
Fascinating. There’s a really good BBC Horizon documentary on psychopathy. It features a researcher who was taking MRI scans of prisoners convicted of violent crimes and managed to associate inactivity in a certain part of the brain with psychopathy. We figured that either local vendors or https://cryptovoucher.io/ aswell as kraken.to seem to be the best(since no ID is needed for purchasing), but local purchase is the most anonymous. Depends on what kind of transaction you are searching for. Some people genuinely like to buy their crypto via coinbase, opposed to other transaction service providers, your funds are handled/held by them till you withdraw them. Cryptovoucher in example lets you buy the btc and sends it to the given wallet adress, which can in fact make transactions cheaper, a bit faster aswell as more anonymous. What kind of Crypto vendors do yall use and why? would be really interested to know what and how you all are getting your hands on and use crypto.
Do you mean kucoin as they don't request for an ID? Kraken does tho. I use coinbase to purchase here (once I set it up it's worked without fail so why change) Kraken to buy crypto (most secure platform and they actually have customer support), kucoin to buy smaller cap cryptos as they have a long list of them.
Coinbase Pro is what I use. So easy via the app. There’s a transaction fee charged to transfer BTC, guess they need to make their money.
Ones I use the most are bittrex, Binance And Coinbase. Also worth doing some research on uniswap (decentralised exchange).

I’ve been using Luno since I joined here because I was told it was the safest. The transaction fees recently have been insane, like £22-25 a pop. Bitpanda is very easy to use. Fees can be quiet high to be honest but i buy my coin there, send it to my Exodus wallet and then send to vendor from there.

Someone already having an account doesn't stop a referral through a link. 🤐 Plus, maybe it gets gifted as they already have one, then someone else uses the link...? Maybe more than once...? Maybe they tell their friends to scan it when they ask on a night out? If people aren't using their referral links then they're potentially losing out on a lot of money. Bit cringe-ely up close and personal, but I'm going to say it anyway - I had parents who couldn't accept that their child had learning difficulties, and moved me from school to school to school during primary /middle school. All this did was make me feel that I didn't fit in or belong anywhere, and as is often the case with stuff that happens during such formative years, these belief systems tend to become hardwired as the blueprint for how the rest of your years will pan out. I've Always struggled with feeling like the perpetual outsider, but not here :))) even on other forums I've been on, say, about my pets, I'd go on them for a few months, and as soon as someone was mean or critical I'd peg it. But on here I have actually been called ridiculous, fake, desperate, attention seeking and honestly I think most of those things are probably true, but when I've come on here, out of my tree tripping my face off and bang on about how much I love this place and my friends here, I totally mean it, and the 'fake', bit definitely isn't true :) And normally hearing stuff like that I'd be gone , lickety - split, but because I know so much that I have some seriously good, REAL friends here, it's not so hard to weather the horrible stuff :))) and I love it here, even though I'm very aware that this place is definitely not all sweetness and light, and let's face it, a place that you really do need to be super cautious in, I've made friends for the first time in a long time, and I love it so much. It's not that clear cut. I've had referral payments that had 72 hour release times, and other timeframes outside those stated, many, many times.
I'm not on any special list mate, unfortunately, and neither am I a vendor! Just something I've observed a few times now.
Whether it makes sense or not it is still permitted and is not down to you or anyone else to decide. So you can be as confused about it as much as you want, you just simply don’t have a say.

I loved the opener with Klingons on Earth but even then it kept getting dumber with that poor man's Kirk routine from this guy. It seems like he belongs in an old Disney movie playing off a car.
Discovery by a long way for me. It just didn’t feel like Star Trek. Rewatched all of Enterprise recently and it was way better than I remembered.
Really? The 2nd season was annoying as any grade school social propaganda but I thought the 1st season was right up there near the best Trek.
I’m sure I’ll rewatch it in a couple of years and have a fresh perspective. I just couldn’t handle ( forgive me if I’m taking Star Trek too seriously ? )the fact that, fundamentally Star Fleet is military, yes? How did Tilly make it onto a military vessel? Even Reg Berkeley for all his foibles had a semblance of respect for the fact he was on a military mission. I love Joss Whedon’s dialogue and sass but he’s an inappropriate inspiration for Star Trek characters.

For me it has to be Enterprise. Even the theme music felt wrong to me. It felt like the cast never really jelled and as a result the whole thing feels flat and disappointing.

Better Call Saul vs. Breaking Bad

For me the greatest TV show of all. So many great characters. And a perfect ending. Gonna leave it a few years before going back and watching again. Though I miss my Kim Wexler fix

Breaking bad will probably always be considered more of a classic and definitely was one of those dramas that paved the way for modern dramas today. But in terms of quality BCS is better written, Directed and streamlined than breaking bad season 1 was a bit slow tho. Also without BB there never would be BCS which has to be apprciated.
BB my preference Saul is an amazing character but dont think it takes you on the roller coaster BB does

For me, personally I think they’re both brilliant. You cant watch better call Saul before breaking bad. I love how it shows the aftermath of what happened, better call Saul is slower but if you’ve watched breaking bad before you’ll be sucked in from minute one. For me breaking bad might just be the greatest tv series ever. Just everything about it was fucking mega and it wasn’t hollywoood it was raw just like GOT used to be till they ruined it.
No need for a comparison, both great shows. Obviously BB set the scene for Better Call Saul, but I think it would have worked without BB as a stand alone.

Update on Bob (this is the last post in this thread about him). He finally sent me a sensible reply/apology.. Said he messed up with his chores and just couldnt do it all and reply as well. He is new to LB so I will give him that. Maybe I decide to use his shop again in the future...we will see. If I do I will leave a description of my expereince for sure.

I can defo recommend Hashishin, his stealth is the best you will see on LB, creative to say the least and the two landrace hashis I have had were as described, lovely smoke - not always your head has to come of your shoulders as someone here was complaining about the strength. Can I ask what went wrong with Hashishin? I've used him twice and both orders were fine. Just curious really.
Sure. I got 5g of his "premium" leb. When heated it goes to black. High from it was short and had no charachter, almost like cbd. And it tasted like henna, which is used to cut hash. When I compare it to this nice moroccan hash from hootan it is even more obvious that theres nothing premium about it except the high price and good stealth. And when I complained hashishin claimed that I dont know about landrace hash that is low in thc etc etc...which I dont buy for one minute. Cause hash is a concentrated cannabis plant. And it has to have high numbers if its clean and done as it should be. If the numbers are low, then it is made from low grade shake or cut with cutting agents.
Indeed illirum didn't like my "Premium (red) Lebanese" hash and messaged me about it (in a bit of a rude manner, but that's ok - each and their own style). he accused the hash of being adulterated because it doesn't bubble. I merely explained him that Lebanese hash doesn't usually bubble because the way it is produced (mesh/screen size and few other factors). and also that original, true land race hash types produced from older genetics pre breeding for thc era. and therefor some of which are higher and some lower in THC, nevertheless - they are all rich in different cannabinoids and terpenes. I've also explained that the term "premium" for that specific hash listing was due to the quality of production (smell, taste, effect) and not necessarily a high thc content. land race hash types are rich in different cannabinoids and terpinoids and so provide unique effects, sometimes a bit different than thc dominant genetics. I also pointed out to him that the "premium leb" has many positive feedbacks and is liked by myself and other members of the community and therefor I stand behind it purity and quality. illirum didn't like my answers obviously. I did offer to compensate for the fact he didn't enjoy the hash on his next order, but understandably he chose not to order again.
Im not sorry for calling it like it is chief, but I get that you have to reply to my critique. And as Ive already told you, Ive tried many a hash in my 25 years of smoking and travelling. And hash is not done to be less potent than weak cannabis, of that I am sure. Also those good reviews you mention could well be from people who have no experience with hash, so they dont mean much to me as much as the experience Ive actually had with your hash. And of course I didnt want to order again even with compensation, Id probably get another "tasty" but not-potent hash, which is not what my money is for. I want to get fckeng high when I roll my shit up! I test new weed or hash in a way where I roll a joint, low on tobacco, to see how it hits, and roll another after few minutes to see how high it will get me, and if I need a third to get really high I can already tell the potency is not there, never mind what type of high it is. And it wouldnt be my first time to try stuff that looks and tastes and smells cool, but when you light it up it is underwhelming. Im what you call a dr.greenthumb, and you dont have to believe it, but thats why I will come back only for stuff that is premium and clean and I will not be afraid to say when the quality is not there... at least for my ole ass.

You are lacking the undersating that hash can be over 30% cannabinoids and not have a load of thc in it. and you are untitled to your own opinion of course. and sure should only spend your money on items you like and enjoy. but actually believing that 36(37 including me) reviewers has no experience or that it's less than yours is just arrogant in my opinion. but as I said before, each and their style. You disliked the fact that I dared to say it tasted like henna. And as I said, hot knives method shows how much impurities are in any hash. Pure hash rolls off and wont even stick to a hot knife. But impure sticks much better, the more its impure, the more it sticks. And when you press it, what you are left afterwards are the impurities. Becuase resin evaporates. And all the cannabinoids and whats left of terpenes. A lot of black and charred material is something you want to avoid. Because thats not resin from cannabis plant. And what is hash supposed to be made from? Yep, from resin, the sift or rub, whatever the style of it is.

Yup, 4:20 is a time and not a date. It signifies the end of the school day within the Californian state education system during the 70's. It's basically the time folk meet up and have some fun... fo'twenny!

420 degrees F is the maximum temperature at which you can vaporize THC. I appreciate the 4/20 tradition might have come before vaping facts became knows, but we're stoners... sometimes the answer comes before the question. I prefer mine at 390 degrees, but happy 420 anyway!

Tbf, I tend to make flapjacks when making edibles with canna butter! Slow release carbs from the oats but the high lasts for so long 💀 I also feel like infused choc dips would bang! Or infused garlic bread? Making myself super hungry. I also have a TOP SECRET idea! Even have the branding spot on too just don't have the means to facilitate 😭

Easy one. Grilled cheese sandwich.
Ingredients
---------------
1. Two slices of Warburton's Thick Toastie bread. (Orange package.)
2. Sun dried tomatoes, chopped finely.
2.5. Chili flakes. (optional)
3. Generous slice of Gruyere cheese.
4. Thin slices of parmeggiano regiano.
5. One or two slices of mild cheddar.
6. One or two slices of red leicester, mature.
A. Butter slices of bread heavily, but only one side of each.
B. Put a pan on the hob, very low heat. (low-n-slow is the secret here)
C. Put first slice of bread on the pan, butter down.
D. Place Gruyere and parm on top of the bread in the pan.
E. Sprinkle chopped sundried tomatoes and chili flakes on top.
F. Layer on mild cheddar, then red leicester cheese.
G. Place second slice of bread on top of the top layer of cheese, butter side up.
H. Cover pan with a metal bowl if you have one. (Helps melt cheese and toast evenly) Optional.
I. Toast low-n-slow. Flip over carefully. Keep flipping over until cheese is melted and bread is preferred degree of brown/toasted.
Try it. It'll blow your mind.

Masala fish in naan, with lettuce and onions and a nice chilli mint sauce and a lovely exotic drink like passion fruit to wash it all down.
I’d probably have to say any type of fast food. For example KFC, Pizza Hut or McDonald’s, etc.
