{Economics}
the same old revolution is still avoidable
yeah yeah if you look at all the data when any society gets this stratified a revolution always follows. but we are are pre-post-humans self-aware of this fact! so we can do it different this time and get fucked over differently, worst case.
poor suckers (most of the world) are handed serf jobs - the spoils of a trade war "protecting" them. for their labor they get to take it in the ass from monopolies, polluters and anyone else that they are sold to by the "leadersβ’.
the sycophantic rich get their spoils too - the poor's labor and the right to suck back every cent in consumerism. but they are just as vulnerable as the poor, if don't pay the rulers for their privileges they are reminded that ultimate authority ultimately owns everything it wants because it has the guns. if they dont play ball the fallen are made into public examples; the leaders thus bond with the rabble who revel in the schadenfreude.
ultimately authoritarians sell out the poor to the rich and vice versa a very old art perfected by russian tzar's. and as long as both sides remain divided the cunt standing in the middle can play savior to both sides.
while many rich savor an ass kissing plutocracy some of them actually say fuck you to the government just like the masses of disenfranchised. maybe they hate injustice or maybe they just cant stomach the ass kissing. and the poor are ready for anything.
no doubt burn it all down has some delicious appeal but the aftertaste is still a bunch of cunts playing divisive games. only they don't even have the brains to build the shit they just stole.
somebody tell me another way.

Wishful thinking, the leading VR platform is Facebook. You think you are surrounded with web surveillance? These are the good old days.
How can the rest of the world let this happen? They've rejected Facebook's crypto coin pretty easily.
As long as an authority is collecting taxes you are always going to wind up in the same place. Power will be used to obtain the money and money will be used to obtain power to get more money. These are rules of nature.
Maybe nature will just wipe 98% of us out in a massive self imposed detox. Highly possible, and for the rest of the poor beings that live here along side our seemingly never ending cyclic bullshit, maybe highly desirable. Feeling a wee bit nihilistic today, my deliveries not here yet. Lol.
Btw way op, loving the nod to Spider Jerusalem. My son wore that pair of glasses to a hippy festival last year and was well raging when only one person got it. As I told him, wrong crowd.

What signs of doom do we share with the Roman Empire?
Excessive money printing & Hedonism
i think so but wars are getting more like tv spectacles now, orders of magnitude fewer deaths
A thug is going to shake you down the easiest way he can find but the game always stays the same: You NEED our protection.
Really don't mean this in any kind of shitty way but overwhelming numbers of people moving from more primitive areas into Rome is like what's happening now in Europe, North America and Eastern China.
Well in the UK its the willingness to stab each other in the back for the purpose of power and sheer personal greed no matter what the cost to the minions
yes but the word primitive is offensive for a reason, it correlates with a set of principles that assumes information loss is irrelevant.
you of all people.
you of all people.
It's an Empire folks that means most of the world is together on this. And the provinces will find the new heights in the future!
Becoming to confident in our ability to defeat any enemy and to greedy to understand our limitations.
The rich are ruling for the rich and that only leads to revolution. I've been sharpening my
pitchfork for years.
pitchfork for years.
The loss of traditional values in the face of a new religion, it was Christianity that scuppered the Roman Empire these days we have the new religions of woke and climate change doing it for us.
Rome used Christianity to make a whole different way of dictatorship. They didn't vanish they reinvented themselves as the Roman Catholic faith.
interesting and as fucked up as it sounds those both seem like a better basis for god than a vengeful patriarch

First time I heard Miles Davis on sketches of Spain i could feel the sun and smell the olive trees, Rare a record truly transports you so effectively.
Very good call... got to add grand wazoo and Joe's garage to the list. The keyboard solo on cyborg is genius
Shit yeah! Moon Safari was great when it landed in the late 90's and still sounds every bit as fresh today. I'm also partial to a bit of Junip, a Swedish folk rock band.
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
It’s a great Tolkien Album!
It’s a great Tolkien Album!
Takes me back to the early 90's......that and Moon Safari by Air stand out for me. I listened to Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld by the Orb a lot back then too. I still roll this one out - another great toking album.
My guitar teacher switched me on to these guys way back. Nowadays, I appreciate this much more than I did then!
Lucky enough to see Ozrics at several free festivals in late eighties and nineties, once so caned on micro dots I thought I was watching floyd from the meddle era.
Great band , nice guys.
In similar vein try the ;porcupine tree’

My go to is Pink Floyd ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’, followed by Dave Matthews ‘Before These Crowded Streets’ or ‘Under the Table and Dreaming’ and First Aid Kit ‘Ruins’
Its a personal choice and each to their own taste however if there is a list of great albums to listen to when stoned then Fleetwood Mac - Rumours has to be on it.If you have never heard it then you are missing out on one of the greatest albums ever made.
Rumours takes on a totally new life when stoned. I wish I had the songwriting gene!
+1 for Rumours - there is a great documentary about the making of it...well, about the whole band, how they formed etc. They were basically hating each other when that album was made (which is obvious when you listen to the lyrics). Have a look for it on the iPlayer - well worth a look
can't beat a bit of BOC
Saw Phaeleh at Kendal Calling 10 years ago and he played this album in full. Been in love with it ever since. My go to.
This is a bad boy for chilling to, and the artist not very well known so give it a whirl.
K&D Sessions and DJ Kicks albums are legendary!

Waiwan is my favourite ‘unknown’ artist - really low key releases that are mind blowing. Got a couple of his remixes on vinyl will try and find them and upload here!
You have great taste sir!
You have great taste sir!
Discovered Double Negative by Low last year and have listened to it whilst toking many times now. Went straight into my stoner music list... Sounds awesome on vinyl..
Thanks for that tipβ¦I keep defaulting to βThings We Lost In The Fireβ but will play this today after a good toke on Smoggyβs Mimosa! π€€π€
From avenged sevenfold through to chopin and everything in between. This is really awesome to listen to. If you want a nice hour musical journey one of the best albums I could listen to from start to finish is Smashing Pumpkins, Siamese Dream, and it's not traditionally my fav music. Or anything Led Zep.
Great album alright, recently rediscovering how good the klf-chill out album is,well worth a listen, albeit a little less electronic but ye,cant go wrong with the k&d sessions either!
Haven't listened to the K&D sessions for ages! Well thats my morning soundtrack sorted.
Strange Cargo 3 by William Orbit is good toking album.

Or as we used to call it....the ultimate album come down album! Not that this happens anymore, but...put this on as the last album of the night/morning after a night of raving and loads of mdma! Perfect!! Thanks for reminding me of this, been about 15 years since I listened to this beast!
You know it - that's how I first discovered it too. And yeah, It's been waaaayyyyy too long since I had one of those nights. As soon as the world gets back to normal I'm going to recreate 'the old days' :-)
Any, post Syd, Floyd for me- as long as it’s an album start to finish, for the full experience
Yeah, you need the full experience. Imagine a single from Dark side or animals. Even worse, wish you were here. Damn pesky kids don’t know what a single is. Bah humbug.

"We're Only In It For The Money" the Mothers Of Invention, released 1968. Works well on acid too.
Speaking as an old hippy back in the day it had to be "We're Only in it For The Money" from Zappa and the Mothers. Really fucked with your head.
In the last few months I’ve discovered Ben Böhmer. I find his music and mixes to be superb listens while high. Mainly upbeat tempos contrasted with deep bass and uplifting beats. Give it a try ???

Just watched 10 minutes of that - awesome! I'm an amateur music producer and love tweaking the knobs and dials so I will be watching this in full over the weekend - thanks for sharing
I'll throw this in... A bit obscure... Gets the old red eyes pumping and gets a nice on the go, too.
lol use to flat out play this. tried to listen again recently though and I feel it hasn't aged well. the beats aren't great!
It's all relative I guess eh! I still love it personally and feel it holds up well after 22 years....but Jesus, reminds me how old I am!

Use other biggaz to be the 1st Seller in your country
What's the society fork? TIA
I was recently in India and getting anything besides hash (which I can't use) was impossible. In these countries why doesn't someone buy in bulk from a bigga and then use lb to sell domestically themselves?

PAX 3 review
Hi folks, I recently purchased a PAX 3 dry herb vaporizer, it also works with concentrates (thin mint shatter already purchased from MJ) so thought In would drop a quick review. Been using it for two days only, so this is initial impressions, and I'll update after I've lived with it for a bit.
First off it's a lovely little weighty unit, feels well made and sturdy, components all feel solid and well made. As far as using it is concerned it's very straight forward, press it on, wait until it heats up (light on the front indicate when it's heating and when it's easy). If you download then app you can choose a range of smoking options, economic, flavor, standard, stealth mode etc that all heat at a range of temps depending on what you want to get out of it.
It's easy to pack the herb in, absolutely straight forward, the cover fits securely. You need to pack it in fighter than feels right, tight enough that it doesn't fall out when turned upside down.
I started on flavor setting, which heats it to around 230°c, flavor was incredible, like how you imagine it will taste when you smell it, but obviously when we set our herbs on fire it kills a lot of the flavor, the PAX releases the flavor into your mouth.
I took a few decent Tokes, surprised at how little smoke occurs, so I was concerned I was using it wrong, but a few mins later I got my reward. The stone is different from a bong (I don't do tobacco so can't comment on a joint), whereas I feel a bong gets a heavy stone, the PAX gives you a lovely calming relaxing and longer lasting stone I feel.....but I guess this result may vary from person to person.
When I felt that the herb had ran it's course I pumped the temp up to high and it started smoking again, slightly harsher smoke compared to the flavor mode, but this allows you to squeeze the goodness out of all the bud.
When it's done you knock it out and a dry little block of what smells like lovely toasty decarbed weed. I'm told you could actually smoke this and get a bump if you put it in a bong or whatever, so I'm going to keep the waste and give it a blast to see if that's true, will keep it for the next time I'm Dankrupt.
It cost me £219, which compared to a few quid for a bong then it's absolutely ludicrous, however I put enough weed in for probably 3 bongs and me and the wife toked away on it many times last night, so it definitely gets the most out of your weed, and if the Dankrupt tip is legit then it just makes it even better.
So far I'm happy with the purchase, especially as we have family coming over for dinner on Sunday and stealth is the order of the day. The price is a bitveye watering, but you can get it for much less if you don't choose the full package, I think it's about £160ish for just the standard pack, but you wouldn't be able to use concentrates.
Hope this gives anyone considering diving in a wee bit more food for thought.
Cheers.

Pax Labs are a great company. I bought the Pax 2 around 5 years ago and it recently broke. They honoured their 10 year warranty (which I hope you got) and sent me a brand new replacement Pax 2. I don't know if the Pax 3 has this but the Pax 2 has a memory game that you can access if you spin the device around a number of times. I got to level 20 on mine and ever since then it plays the funky town tune when I turn it on, LOL. They definitely know their demographic.
I also have a Pax 3 (in this colour, too) and I like it. I bought it for the concentrate option...but am yet to buy a concentrate oven piece. I find it very smooth, even on the "boost" mode, but have connectivity issues with the app, every 5th use (ish). As a discreet herb vape, you really cannot go wrong. Looks just like most upper cost e liquid mods (larger and bulkier than ecigs). Let me know how you get on with the shatter!
sandwich shatter between layers of green in dose caps lol problem solved :D or if you like cleaning your vapes a lot you can do it without caps
Did yours come with the concentrate oven? Or did you have to purchase separately?? Mine didn't come with it and I can only find replicas online ...
Mine came with the oven which I've since had to replace as the old one started to warp. The replacement oven cost £40 on Amazon which was a bit of a shock. I don't think it is PAX either. That aside though it's a superb vaporizer. I'm using it for a Moroccan black just now. Hits heavy at 200°c
dont smoke abv eat it lol :D congratz on purchase, personally didn't like pax, had a second one, but deffo alright vape just too pricey, some vapes for 80-100 quid performs same, not mentioning dynavap one of my favs lol but its torch powered so not suit for everybody. get yourself loading caps will keep device cleaner for longer

What is your smoking song?
This one is a great smoking tune
I'll put this one on here just to represent basically all of Sublime's songs and of course the original by Marley.
I'm also big into underground hip hop, and hip hop from the 90s/00. Saw you talking about bone thugs for example, my shit.

Oh man, have loved Sublime ever since I heard them, such a cool and unique band. Shame it ended so soon.
Awesome song this and the original.
Nas, BIG, Pac, Eazy, Cube, Rakim, Red & Meth, DMX (yikes now tough), Snoop, Wayne, Outkast - the list goes on man these dudes were all I heard growing up. Admittedly it has been a while since I've visited the decade, I'm about to take a trip back in time and get all nostalgic. Cheers. edit: can't forget Beasite Boys

I always find myself putting on one of three albums whenever I get some quality bud and have an hour or two to kill.
ATCQ - Low End Theory
Nas - Illmatic
Wu - 36 Chambers
For those times I'm not in a hip hop mood I tend to listen to some RHCP or The Doors or whatever I have on loop in my head for that day lol.

Why thank you, kind sir. I may be wrong but I'm sure Nas wrote and preformed that album at 19/20 which is just bananas to say the least. Such lyricism and flow for such a young man. "Rappers I'm monley flippin with the funky rythm I be kickin,
Musician, inflictin' composition, of pain
I'm like Scarface sniffin' cocaine
Holdin' a M16, see with the pen I'm extreme" first lines are maaaaaad lol

It is crazy, to be thinking so critically at that age while delivering a strong message wrapped up in smart word play, bars and insane flow. Some people just have raw talent man.
Illmatic = Hip Hop
If aliens landed and asked me what Hip Hop was, I would play them this album.

Don't have a go to song exactly, depends on the mood. Would say hip hop like Gu, J-Cole, Tribe, Pharcyde, few others. Also love some Thin Lizzy, Rory Gallagher, Black Sabboth, Led Zeplin. Also love some Vaya Con Dias.....these are just off the top of the head, so many more.
I really came here to comment as I can see hip hop, rock, blues, folk all down through the list and am planning on working my way through it but don't have the time right now.
I want to leave this album here because it is great to smoke to, and great to fuck to, lol.....

My man, I really like this :) Thanks for the contribution, I actually didn't know I knew of Air till I heard Sexy Boy playing. Also, this sounds like a great album to take you through a LSD trip, I think I'll find out.
Of course, love the spread of music, thanks for starting this topic. Already headbanging to a few artists found.
A lot of people actually know their songs pretty well, but don't know them. Haha, that's what I like to hear. I have never done tripping but would definitely contribute to the overall mood/vibes. One of my favourite underappreciated albums....of course just in my opinion

Yeah this topic has been a steady source of great tunes for me actually.
I've definitely heard a few of their songs. Now that is a positive attitude I appreciate seeing :)

Top band mate, went to see them last year in Manchester unreal, probably best gig I saw all year, smoked a few joints just before they came on was a different experience
Oh man, blast from the past right there. Love this band! So chill and bass heavy. These guys did some awesome live shows with Iration Steppas back in the day. Nice shout, man.
Big tune. The little pockets of flows he jumps in and out of while delivering a potent message.. mad.
Any song from the hillside airstrip album by 10 ft ganja plant
This trey songz tune lit.. But depends on mood
not seen that film, looks up my street for sure. But yes it has the same 80's/Cyberpunk feel. I whack the γγ‘γγΌγγΉ (Love Letter to Japan) album on while smoking and just get lost in it completely.
Yeah this group is so important, continually pushing boundaries. The entire project is fascinating.
haha I actually remember all his old stuff... some stuff was pretty decent. mostly shite though lol
I agree, most of the stuff he did under Chipmunk is mega corny nowadays, probably back then too hahah. I rate his diss tracks though he brought some life back to the scene in those days.
Positive vibes from this one.

Seen a few threads on here with music recommendations and it’s been ace checking out everyone’s suggestions. Anyone got anything else that’s worth listening to whilst I’ve got a bit of time on my hands?
Spaceship Earth - MC Xander
Now, it's a bit cheesey, BUT there is a little segment towards the end, which breathes 2020 lockdown for Me. Probably always will.
"So yes be angry, yes be mad, yes be shocked and awed but whatever the fuck you do don’t be bored.
Yes the beat don’t stop this epoch’s not the end, cities chock-a-block but still got oxygen, still got, something to fight for, die for, something to live my life for and I intend to be one of the survivors, but that’s is cos, the buck stops with us, no ifs no buts, no matter who you cuss. If your not on the bus it wont be enough to save you, if you don’t reach the ocean the tide wont turn in your favour and all those leaving planet earth will be like ‘See ya later’…"

I am glad you are enjoying it. Its always a bit of a judgement call, when you release your music tastes upon the world. Its like baring your soul hahaha. As far as a 'Lockdown Song' goes...this is the one for Me! :D
That’s why I really appreciate everyone who’s taken the time to answer my question. Baring your soul takes a brave person :)

Saw a thread about a movie called 'Human Traffic' last week, and not only was it an amazing film, but it had one of the best soundtracks ever.
I've not seen this tune promoted anywhere, but have a listen, preferably through headphones when stoned.
Turn up the bass.
Cheers BB

Brock Pierce For President
The prominent bitcoiner is characteristically, bringing game theory to the election. He knows he can't win but is betting he can create a stalemate by winning as little as 1 state.
Brock Pierce has a seedy background man, so I guess that makes him the perfect candidate. have you seen 'the open secret'?
https://vimeo.com/142444429 It was a pretty popular documentary on YouTube a couple of years ago but it's been taken down and swept under the rug as of late. There's the vimeo link to it though. Basically it's a doc exposing this peadophile ring in hollywood and Mr Pierce was involved in one way or another. Click the link and go to around 38:30 you'll see Pierce soon. Good to watch the whole doc for context though

As the title suggests, I'm totally new to bitcoin and I'm learning as I go... and what i have noticed is theres fees for everything.
On to my question, I'm not in a hurry to cash in, but so I know for the future, how do I convert what I have into cash ? At the moment my bitcoin money is in a coinomi wallet ( app or whatever it is ) in dollars, so how do I convert to cash and is there a flat fee or is there multiple options with different fees?
Cheers

Plenty of options, other than ATM you can use localbitcoins if anonymity is your priority.
Althought if you not in hurry I'll highly recommend getting an Atomic wallet and swap BTC for some passive interest earning coins.
If you want move your wealth around swap it to something with cheap and quick transactions like XML or XRP .
Sending BTC around is just plain fucking idiocy lol !
Otherwise Coinbase is transparent and convenient if you don't care about privacy.
They also batching transactions before chucking it on blockchain so fees are 0 !

It seems there's a few ways to do it from the previous comments. Really like the bitcoin ATM strategy. Another would be to get a crypto.com account, they have debit cards which you can transfer your btc directly into and withdraw from a normal ATM.
Just remember to tumble your bitcoin or convert it to monero and back again before transferring it to crypto.com. Their anti money laundering task force will get you if you are too negligent
That's a great point, thanks for that. Didn't know about the monero strategy, new one for me.
Thanks for this. I had no idea these cards existed and I've just applied for one. Very easy process which was all completed in about 15 minutes max. I was tempted to go for a metal card but ended up just ordering a plastic one as I couldn't quite get my head around the whole CRO charge thing so I might go back to that at a later date and upgrade.
Anyway thanks again, this will hopefully make things a bit easier for me.

Yeah don't worry about CRO staking. That's more for crypto investors, as a lot of people using crypto.com are investing in or trading crypto, and they are expecting the CRO to increase in value. The only benefit it would have to you outside of crypto trading is you get a few perks such as: free netflix; but it's not exactly free you still pay for it, you're just reimbursed in CRO.

You can withdraw cash from designated Bitcoin ATM's that a lot of people find easy and hassle-free, I believe the withdrawal fees are also much cheaper. If you google Bitcoin ATM's you can see which are close to you in your area. If you use a platform like Coinbase you have the option to convert your BTC straight to cash or into whatever bank account you have linked to your Coinbase account. I know there are a few people who don't like Coinbase due to fees and what have you but personally, I find it very straight forward and easy to use and very transparent (they tell you what the fees and total is before you finalise anything just so you're sure). Hope this helps mate. I'm sure there are a lot of LB users with more experience than me though so I'd imagine you won't be shy of help.
As a new vendor had a nightmare getting cash out... our first orders were low value and apparently lots of small amounts in means big fees to get it out..... from electrum to coinbase I was charged 20pc......to make a purchase with that BTC they wanted 36pc..... i am learning too. But that stung
After a doing a fair bit of research I've found that Binance.je are the cheapest to convert bitcoin to UK pounds, lots of the trading platforms have a commission fee to cash out to your bank.
CEX.IO are good but the hidden fees are a bit steep but registration is quick and easy.
Make sure you use the trading platform for lowest fees. Do not use the fill or kill option to buy or sell as fees are 7% on this option.
Lowest fee 3.5%.
Coinbase fees are reasonable, registration slow, customer service is none existent... again use the trading platform for best fees ( coinbase pro )
Binance.je are very cheap but the registration process is slow, poor customer service.
