Just started watching 'Spaced' again.
I'm 40 now so it is my generation, but it's really good!
(yup showing my age)
It's on all4. Along with Peep Show (which yeah i like too!)
Don't judge me!
Haha
Cheers BB

I'm in the middle of re-watching Spaced and felt like I had to scroll for hours to find somebody who finally mentioned it! xD
Thank you - you just reminded me I need to re-watch spaced again!
I was too old for it even back then, but the clever references still tickle me all these years later..

Well I’ll judge you... if I could give 2 upvotes I would, agree with you totally, 2 of my fave ever shows, making me think of hitting Spaced up again...
I loved the shows of that generation. Nathan Barley. Day Today. Brass Eye also. Then The Mighty Boosh.
Holy shit the Mighty Boosh. π. Literally only just remembered it.
That crack fox still gives me nightmares. π¦

Ah fuck it, nothing better to do, haha
The Wire - best thing ever written. Slow burner due to complication of story, but it is relatable as the war on drugs does not have a start or end to it, and street dealing doesn't just start, therefore you are immediately immersed in the story without even realising. Only figured that out the second time watching it. Also some great visual metaphors throughout. Also note there is no cue music to instigate feelings. All music is from source, i.e. car radio, night club. Only cue music is when Avon enters the lowrisers for the first time
The Ozark - Although breaking bad is good, it's not worth the hype. This is the older cooler brother of breaking bad. Calculated and intense at times. Story is always moving forward with real character progression
Altered Carbon - Absolutely fantastic sci-fi with great visuals and a great story line. Really left me itching to read the book, and I'm not a sci-fi fan
Arrested Development - Intelligent comedy with so much layered jokes you can watch this five times and still find punch lines you never noticed before
People Just Do Nothing - Threw this on not expecting much which is perhaps why I found it to be so good. Off the wall characters made completely believable by the actors playing the parts. Excellent idea, excellent execution.
Peep Show - This is a classic, you need to watch this
Trailer Park Boys - Another classic everyone here should be able to relate to
Big Mouth - Great for a background watch, but really funny and does take you back to your teenage years at times, haha
Fargo - Beautiful cinematography, great story captured very close to the original film. Billy Bob absolutely shines in this role in season one
Life On Mars - Made in early naughties, but just as relevant as today
Dark Tourist - good short run of a different kind of travel show. The kind of travel I like too
The Wolves Of Yellowstone - Nature documentary that has a story line Walt Disney would be proud of. Really makes you realise the balance of nature
Utopia - Such an underrated British TV series
It's Always Sunny In Philidelphia - Great zany show about dysfunctional friends who live in their own world, and drink in their own pub causing all kinds of ridiculous antics
Homeland - Great series that will always have you wondering what, or who is next
The Killing - Only recommend the first seasons. It drags you along on the witch hunt convincing you you know the answer
Punisher - About time they stuck to the gritty comic. Refreshing that this i not aimed at kids and fattening wallets.
The End Of The Fucking World - Two out there teens who decide to adventure together with, maybe, disastrous consequences

Peep show one of my all time favs and can't to wrong with arrested development what a classic
Sad that they never manager to run the show normally... And probably we won't se another season ever :( love arrested development
Currently halfway through the first series of Altered Carbon after reading this thread and seeing your recommendation. I'm a PhilipKDick fan and I'm really enjoying it, cheers π
Dark on Netflix. German show about time travel set in a village where kids keep going missing every 33 years. Stunning production values, really intricately plotted, three series, all ties together. Loved it. Has an English dub but the German audio with subtitles is best.
End of the fucking world is really good. Strange and offbeat which I like. With some characters that don’t give a fuck. And it’s British and very relatable (even though it’s about a lad that thinks he’s a psychopath haha).
100% but do you think you could watch them the other way round and it’s all still as good? As I really do, integrated them amazingly well.
Yeah I agree, I liked BB a lot but I came to it a bit late and like UKgrower hearing the hype maybe expected too much. Better call Saul I didn’t expect much of at all, didn’t think it’d get past Series 1 but now I think it’s better than BB.
If you enjoyed Breaking Bad, then give Better Call Saul a go. I always thought he stole every scene he was in during Breaking Bad.

yes, they will all help make it worse. on the bright side, since everybody started typing on their phones, dyslexia is hardly noticeable anymore and you really don't have to apologise.

Yean Gomorrah is probably my number 1 show, the setting, actors, story... superb. Cant wait to watch the Ciro Di Marzio movie too.
L'Immortale or the Immortal is the name, was out last year in Italy. Have tried to find out when its out in the UK but no joy yet
Its on sky atlantic now mate, its certainly worth a watch an sets up the next season of Gomorrah nicely
Literally just finished watching brassic 2 and Save me Too. Both class. Surely everyone on here has watched Brassic.....!!!?
I do, doesn't quite hit the levels that Shameless did back in the day but still a lot of fun. Plus it's good to hear actual accents on TV instead of just American lol
If you like weird? Get baked & watch.

On that note, throw Mighty Boosh into the mix as well.

i liked that a lot more than i thought i would. also, colony on netflix even though it was killed by covid and never finished.
I'm watching Detectorists at the moment. Really good. Funny and with beautiful scenery. On BBC iPlayer and Netflix.
Shout for detectorists.
Great theme tune btw.

Ifyou seen BB, definitely watch Better Call Saul.
Comedy? The Office US and then Parks n Recreation. Or maybe Shameless US? Little Britain it's always great company.
If you seen Broadwalk E, you probably have seen the sopranos. If not its a MUST! Ive been watching House of Cards and it's quite nice too.
Maybe 6 feet under, Weeds, Dexter, Chuck, My name it's Earl??
Cience? COSMOS!!! A mind blowing and mind opening cience series. Everyone should watch it before they die. Either the original and first with Carl Sagan (it might not have the best visual representations but Carl its Carl) or the new Neil Tyson.
In to some stand ups? George Carlin is a must, the young Carlin to the old political Carlin.
I would also like to give a shout out to my Spanish Fellows on THE Money Heist.

Orphan black! one of my favourites.. the wire.. Russian doll..cynical,funny. end of the fucking world. Money heist.. prison break..cleverly written. Better call Saul if you enjoyed breaking bad.
Rick and Morty and weed is my favourite combination. Snoop dog’s talk show on YouTube is hilarious to watch as-well.
I find American horror story hilarious, but only when I’m high, otherwise it’s pretty terrifying lol.
Films : seven psychopaths is a must watch, requiem for a dream and pulp fiction, all time faves. and I did write a detailed review and much more but it was deleted :/

Yo UK Grower. I have just discovered Channel Zero on StarZplay, prime add on. It’s a really good horror series, twisted stuff, defo a bit freaky.
To any one who likes comedies don't be put off What We Do in the Shadows, it's vampires but it's not really a "vampire" type show.... it's really funny when high and the second series has just come out on iplayer.
If you're into Sci-fi I'd highly recommend Altered Carbon on Netflix. Really cool story and visuals. I seen somebody recommended Ozark, excellent as well. If you like animation and feel like a laugh give Rick and Morty a watch, The Midnight Gospel is also new to Netflix but really trippy / funny in my opinion. Happy watching!
I almost pissed myself with laughter watching the first episode as I watched the trailer but wasn't really for how out there this really is. A must watch for any sci fi and gaming fan or if you have a sick sense of humour like me :)
Stranger Things Season 1 - 80's themed sci-fi thriller with endearing characters that had me on the edge of my seat throughout.
True Detective Season 1 - Basically an 8 hour movie that oozes quality. Pacing/cinematography/acting/dialogue are all A++ for me.
Trailer Park Boys - Get baked, watch this, laugh your arse off.
Peep Show - Clever and hilarious.

Band of Brothers is a masterpiece, great shout! Any recommendations of war films/series that are similar mate?
Give 'The Pacific' a go. Its HBOs follow up to 'Band Of Brothers' set during the allied assault on the Pacific region during WW2
Trailer Park Boys should be perfect for everyone on here, given the enormous amount of smoking and growing throughout!
The Wire
The Shield
Wu Tang. An American Saga
Foundation
Sopranos
Battlestar Galactica
There are gazillions more. But these are a few off the top of my head.

Since it hasnβt been mentioned here , it only proves how massively underrated Wilfred is . Had great laughs :) U.S. version of an Australian cult sitcom about a meek young man and a pot-smoking talking dog named Wilfred (actually actor Jason Gann in a dog suit, whom everyone else sees as just a dog). Wonβt spoilt it anymore
Watching Yellowjackets at the moment, pretty good but if you watch the pilot episode donβt be put off as thatβs a bit shit, it does get better!

The Start Up, it's on Netflix. 2 series' that I've thoroughly enjoyed. Defo worth a watch!
just call Saul was better than breaking bad in some ways (last series a bit disappointing tho). Always interested to see if people liked the Midnight Gospel (single series, animation, also Netflix).
If you liked Breaking Bad you might like Better Call Saul... it's slower but the writing and cinematography are actually better imo. Plus by S5 the pace is basically on BB levels.
The Boys or Doom patrol, quality shows right there & the wire If you didnt see it yet,too many to name mate but try them
Undone is good and trippy with the animation style it uses and pretty unique story to boot.
You (season 1). Solid watch but latest series was a waste of time.

I just rewatched 'The Lost Room'
It's a miniseries with 3 90min episodes and it only ever had one proper airing so nobody I've ever mentioned it to has seen it.
Definitely worth a watch thoughππππ»

If no one has said it yet, Banshee. A pro thief / seriously tough guy played by Anthony Starr ( Homelander from the boys) rolls into town, assumes the identity of a recently deceased new Sheriff that no one has met yet. Boom, he's now the law in town and is actually very good at stopping crime. Insane realistic violence, Amish gangsters, bikers, native American mafia and lots more, best show I've ever seen

Loads of top shows already mentioned on this list so trying not to repeat(can't stand repeats). Didn't notice a mention for The Newsroom, absolutely brilliant with super slick dialogue, maybe stick to sativa for that one.
Also the classic stoner sit coms Top Buzzer starring a young Steven Graham and Ideal with Jonny Vegas, they will do for the indica night.
Once the hash and concentrates come out just put Taskmaster on it is the best thing c4 have done for a long time and requires zero brain power to enjoy perfect couch lock fodder

Fargo is probably the best series ever after GOT. Better Call Saul was brilliant too after a slow start. Better than Breaking Bad for me.
All the seasons are good and different stories so don't need to watch in order. All true apparently. The movie's a bit dated now but a great watch too.
Brand New Cherry Flavour if you think you'd find the subject of psychedelic sorcery played out as a fictional horror story interesting
Murder Mountain on Netflix. An oldie but a goodie. All about the emerald triangle in California and how it moved from illegal weed growing into legalisation and the lawless nature of the industry.
Often overlooked, but Mike Judge of Beavis and Butthead fame created this absolute gem....highly reccomend...as smart as it is funny...
15/7.

A selection of engrossing stories some weird and some mind blowing.. spanning 6 seasons between 4 n 6 eps each.
Canβt remember all but loch Henry and demon 79 were fck brilliant from the last season. π¬οΈπ

I'm surprised no one suggested Family Business (on Netflix). A great comedy series about a family in Paris who runs a Kosher butchers and end up producing vast amounts of Pastraweed!
Really funny, great actors and all around fun to watch.
A French Breaking Bad without all the stress in a way!

I never thought I'd see someone mention The Platform. Great film if you've got your stone on! Alice in Borderland is brilliant also it's like a mash-up of The Prisoner and Battle Royale.
I know this is a bit of old news but have you seen Schitts Creek? I just discovered it and it is so funny
The Christmas special of Mortimer and Whitehouse Gone Fishing done in THE most beautiful part of the country North Yorkshire! Great watch when baked as fuck haha :)

The Man in the High Castle is loads of fun, especially if you’re a fan of PKD. Classic UK series that are great: Line of Duty, The Fall, Peep Show, Monty Python’s Flying Circus
Devs.
New Alex Garland (Ex Machina) series on FX & Hulu in the states, not sure where in the UK. Totally brilliant, and the best cinematography I've seen on TV. Ran here in spring 2020 and I'm still thinking about it.

New British comedy horror on prime with Simon Pegg and nick frost, only a short one but was enjoyable, there’s this once scene when nick frost thinks he is about to get shanked and it’s hilarious.
It’s called Truth Seekers
It’s called Truth Seekers
Succession is better than you'd think. Punisher is the best out of all the Marvel shows, Daredevil is also very watchable (and Jessica Jones if you're into angry women with PTSD). Umbrella Academy is fun to watch. The Magicians ditto. Also The Boys.
One of my all-time favourites will always be Daria.
I just love that sassy, sarcastic, little oddball in her socially satire highschool world. Sometimes it hits close to home.
Hoops on Netflix is also worth one or two laughs.
Tuca & Berti is also the right amount of strange.
Our Planet is a great background noise, a lot of beautiful scenery overviews.
Not in Netflix, but how about the Kurzgesagt YouTube channel. It's funny, educational, soothing commentary, cute Art style a great variety of topics etc.

Lots of good suggestions & Sopranos is also great. If you have Netflix then Orange Is The New Black is available & also Weeds from the same writer; both a bit different... ;-)

Truly terrible. Shows how much Pitt & Jolie were needed to make that story work. These two are deathly dull!

how 2 control kids use of little biggy
guard the entry point
you can block littlebiggy.org at many levels of your device and network. if you need any help with your particular device use the thread below.
bitcoin barrier
even with your credit card in hand it's not so easy for kids to get bitcoins without ID and proof of residence in many places. only a very determined kid will get through this barrier.
last stand of defence: mail box
this is the critical point to block kids purchases of items.

the easiest way would be to poke their eyes out with forks, then they wont be exposed to anything bad on the internet.

Urm mines now 20 but a couple of observations
1, thatβs one rich kid to be able to afford little biggy rates maybe if your kids got access to that kind if cash maybe start there.
2, my boy had about 5 dealers in his school class. County lines is rife youβve got 12 year olds with black bags full of weed and much much worse - much more if an issue imo one of them got robbed and the little bastards raped him, a 15 year old and they videoed it and distributed it. I bet his parents wished he was on little biggy
3, again loads of fake prescription drugs online which the kids go mad for, fake vallium and adderal which are actually killing people
I get what your saying and yes Iβm a parent and certainly wonβt be encouraging weed use but on the list of things as a parent I worry about, this is pretty low on my list. Also I agree with nick In the respect that most 14 year olds are more tech savvy than us oldies and will laugh at our controls while bypassing them.

Holy crap - then why ISN'T your son on little biggy?
Weed won't harm anyone in my humble opinion, but hanging about with and being near gangs of wee scumbags? That'll sure do it
Please if what you say is true I'd be making sure I sorted my son myself. These county lines fuckers are bad news

We are not to be stopped. I explained to my wife that out of all of her children the only one never to grow up will be me π
You cant stop kids doing what they want if they are determined, personally id tell them to be careful as definetely not good for young brains...i believe their was less psychosis back in the day due to lower levels of THC
Yep. True. You canβt stop a determined kid. All you can do is try foster a relationship of trust. Talk to them about drugs.
Iβd rather my kid has knowledge and safe access to clean drugs like weed and psychedelics (thatβs all I do)
Iβd much rather my kid did that than alcohol, which can be bought at any off license.

I was trying to keep my daily weed consumption a secret from my 15 year old. In the end when we had a convo about it, turns out they've been doing it for months, knows a few dealers (some at school) and knows about different strains etc.
At first I felt really guilty thinking that despite not sharing the info, my smoking (always away from the house) was a bad influence. In the end I think it was a good thing as we could talk about it openly (not inc my wife!). I was able to give advice to always choose company and location carefully and warnings about Spice, Flacca and other dangerous drugs and have built trust between us. I hear about what is being smoked, and local events (sadly a murder a few moths ago related to small time dealers known to my teenager). I also warn about locations to avoid (local Mc Donalds seems to be a hotbed!). I also advised (when asked) about psychedelics (which I've had decades ago) how it's not necessarily a party/fun experience and achieved an understanding of the real dangers of alcohol and severely bad ones like crack, coke, heroin etc. I feel it's been positive overall but I still refuse to buy for my teenager as that would be risky domestically (due to wife's disaproval). and feels like a step to far at least atm

You likely had 0% influence on his decision to start weed and yeah now you are in an uncanny valley between understanding and enabling. Good luck bigga at the end of the day you can only go with your heart when you get here.
Weed is turning into the most innocent option for kids these days. Watch out for prescription pain killers, they are the gateway to a path that kills.

I was 13 but then weed was 4-6% THC. We are to blame for our kids getting into problems with ultra strong weed because we keep demanding it! π€·ββοΈ
I was 17 and there didn't seem to be weed, it was Moroccan Black, sometimes Red Leb. Any available weed seemed expensive in comparison
Weed is isnβt great really is it?most ppl I know has turned them weird,it makes me into an arse the day after Iβve smoked it,I shouldnβt smoke it really I smoke a tiny bit every 2 weeks and it still has a negative effect on me,and itβs fucking addictive, like Iβm thinking about it all of the time,I like it when Iβm stoned but too many negatives for me.
Just probably not for me.
For under 18s definitely a no no.

wow, I've been smoking every day for at least the last 16 years so yes, I guess I'm addicted ('you don't say' I hear you say!), been that way for decades but actually don't smoke much.
I get through about 3.5g of weed every 4 weeks which works out about Β£1 per day, I can justify it to myself as I hardly drink at all and was spending more than that when I was a more regular drinker

Wrong ;)
On wifi a teenager is as easily blocked as anyone if you control your router and don't share the password, just block the site in question and you are done.
Most of us hold the purse-strings on our kids mobile subscriptions, credit card use, and control the mailbox keys in their house. Any help with this stuff just ask.
If they can get through all of that you have something functionally equivalent to an adult on your hands.
We've gone beyond security now and the remaining options are surveillance and parenting. I'll leave this dirty work to you all :)

As I say,you don't have teenage offspring,do you? My 13 year old daughter can go through a Parental control faster than I can set them and yes, when it comes to tech, teenagers are little adults and have a far better understanding of tech than older age groups.
I sure do home slice, I'm not sure what you mean by parental controls but that's not what you should rely on.
Strong passwords and keys are not breakable by teenagers. Outside of Hogwarts that is.
Strong passwords and keys are not breakable by teenagers. Outside of Hogwarts that is.
You can use a mix of 3 browsers to get around parental controls put direct onto phones/laptops. Your best setting restrictions via the router with the IP log in
A VPN is an easy way around any router blocked sites. Most teenagers could figure that out in my opinion.
Itβs just thatβs itβs illegal makes the whole thing seedy and shady, itβs absolute nonsense, ridiculously making it legal would actually make it harder for minors to get, but the powers that be are morons as we know. Unfortunately weed is the last thing you should be worried about in this modern world, as many have said ylu simply cannot stop them, but I also donβt think turning a blind eye is also right, kind of a donβt take the piss attitude is the one to take, only one I feel that works.
You can use a service such a nextDNS which is a DNS service that you can control and as such limit what sites any device hitting the DNS server can access.
I run it on my router at home and have two profiles one for adults and one for kids.
You can aslo set the DNS server on their mobile phone so they cant access this stuff even when at a mates house or on 4G.
Its not fool proof but its a good layer of defence.
Of course it doesnt help if their Mum is derranged and insists they have two mobile phones

Acid for the Children - Flea

All good music stuff.
And you will have read A Very Irregular Head - Rob Chapman. About Syd.
Definitive. In my opinion the canon version of the events surrounding him. Everything else is just heresay compared to it. Even the Floydβs own accounts. They never really knew him.

I can highly recommend Cormac McCarthyβs (No Country For Old Men, The Road) Blood Meridian. Read with caution, this book put images in my head, that I cannot erase. However, itβs beautifully written and is considered, one of the greatest novels to come out of America.

Trying to get back into reading a bit more , about to finish dead souls by Gogol then onto Bury my heart at wounded knee by Dee Brown
I know it's not finished yet, and I'm still convinced that there's no way he'll ever complete the story in one more book, and if he just released the originally announced trilogy in 4 parts we'd all be happier and he'd make more money. Anyway:
The Kingkiller Chronicle - Patrick Rothfuss
Really love his writing and the rich fantasy world that he creates for Kvothe to inhabit gripped me from the start of the 1st book, The Name Of The Wind. 12 years now since he released book 2. Every time he posts anything on social media he's trolled as hard as George R.R. is, but I gave up on Game Of Thrones years ago, both the books and the TV adaptation, which is a shame as all of his writing is brilliant. It also means that I'll never finish my leather bound collection of A Song Of Ice And Fire...

Great stuff!

Have you read The Slow Regard of Silent Things? That was a nice, if short, story focussing on Auri. The writing style seemed quite different too, but an enjoyable expansion. Looking forward to him telling Bast's story in The Narrow Road Between Desires in November. He's expanding the world, and he's interested in telling the stories, so just give us 2 more Kvothe books and give the story the quality of ending that it deserves!
Iβve got to work through the rest, my partner is evangelical about Rothfuss and basically buys the books for anybodyβs birthday and 9.5/10 people love it!
Is the latest one due in November? Itβs been a long wait!

12 years since the last book in the trilogy! But unfortunately its not book 3 in November, it's another novella like The Slow Regard of Silent Things. As you can imagine people online aren't happy that he isn't spending all of his spare time writing the last book, but I'd imagine he's spent quite a bit of time not writing that book since the last was released.
I never tried the GOT books, I loved the tv series, but felt like reading the books after 8 seasons of tv would be a lot of time to invest.
Iβm nearing the end (so far) of Brandon Sandersonβs Stormlight trilogy and have βName of the windβ loaded in my Kindle to start next. π

I don't think it's worth reading now. He's made his money with the TV rights and whatever so at his stage in life he's set, so he's never finishing that story. A shame though as the books were (obviously) much richer and with more characters than the TV series, and the plotlines were different nearer the end too.
Have you read any Dragonlance books? The War Of The Lance trilogy is superb (packaged in one book as Chronicles), as is the follow-up trilogy, Legends. The Tales collection is good, if a bit hit or miss, but they kinda lost me after that.

Excellent recommendation, MR π. I read the Dragonlance books around 30 years ago (?). Hadn't read in a while and my friend got me back into it with the Legends books. Had a brief fling with D&D when very young and didn't think I'd enjoy the books/world but absolutely loved the character Raistlin. Went back and read the others after (not the best order!) Very enjoyable and I've recently thought about rereading them. Other things I enjoyed back then were Raymond E Feist's 'Riftwar' books (starting with Magician), and Stephen R Donaldson's 'The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant' books. Desperately need to get back into my reading again π
Raistlin was definitely my favourite too as there was so much nuance to the character, and the development of the consequences of their search for power. Apparently they're potentially doing something with the Dragonlance IP again, after some legal wrangling with Weiss and Hickman a couple of years ago. Considering how well it could be adapted into a pretty long fantasy series I'm surprised no-one's ever bothered to do it.
They were released in the mid/late '80s and it's all TSR/D&D linked and they're looking at introducing a Dragonlance campaign world for D&D 5e. It's been a rights nightmare for years, and there were issues with the original authors and what was being done with their work. I definitely hope it happens as they created a really rich world in those 6 books in particular, and really make you care for characters with strong storylines. Easily adapted to D&D with a decent DM.
I've just reading the short novel he recently released that focuses on Bast, 'The Narrow Road Between Desires'. If he ever releases the 3rd book I'll be amazed. Glad you enjoyed what he has written though, it's well worth anyone's time.
I'll have to Google that. I also currently have in my 'to read' pile The Dying Earth by Jack Vance, and it's supposed to be what inspired the idea of spell slots and levels for D&D magic users. Had it for years, and have still not read it.

LSD/ Mushroom mash up
Sorry to bug you guys again so soon, but I really want to know about this quite quickly. I've heard that this mix is amazing, but some conflicting information - that it's a bit of a no, no. Candy flipping is obviously a thing and I've seen mention of 'jedi flipping', which I understand is lucy, shrooms and ecstasy, but nothing on Lucy/ shroom hybrid tripping. I find that in therapeutic terms mushrooms help bring old, forgotten but really significant stuff to consciousness that's finally ready to be processed, but Lucy helps me figure things out and think better. I was hoping to possibly get both benefits by mixing the two during assisted therapy. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts? I was wondering if one substance would do something weird to the other..how synergistic they might be together.., if one might potentiate the other..Best ratio of one thing to the other, stuff like that.
Ideally i would like the combined strength of the trip to be the equivalent of 180 Ε³g of Lucy or about 3.5- 4g of dried mushrooms. Thank you , thank you ππ

Hey thatβs a great question, Iβve never mixed the 2 before, however I have candy flipped with a small dose of Lucy but that was purely recreational rather than for any therapeutic reason. I hadnβt heard of jedi flipping until i read this post but itβs an interesting idea to add psilocybin into candy flipping.
With shrooms and lucy, theyβre both serotonin binders so iβm assuming taking both together would mute the effects of each, but iβve got no anecdotal evidence, itβs just an educated guess. Taking multiple serotonergics could potentially be dangerous and lead to serotonin syndrome but i think thatβs more for things like combining ecstasy and ssriβs, that releases a lot more serotonin.
With doses and ratios, I donβt have a scooby iβm afraid.
Again everything above is just guess work though so take it with a pinch of salt. Hopefully another bigga can help more and give some dosing guidelines.
Have you tried messaging any of the shroom or lucy vendors? As they might have tried mixing both or know people who have or maybe even had the same question in the past from other biggaz. Hope some of this helps π

Id love to know the answer to this too, a combo of the two is called Soul Bombing and there's really only anecdotal evidence out there that i can find about methods and effects, seems like good advice might be to go steady with the doseage on the first one, hopefully there is a psychonaut among us here on LB that has first hand experience that can help!!

Many people wax lyrical about the differences between lsd and shrooms, Iβm not sure I could point any differences out, apart from the duration of the trip. I think shrooms make me happier with a bit of after glow for a few weeks afterwards.
Last time I did this I started with a 250ug tab then reupped later with a150ug followed by another 150ug. Over maybe 12 hours. All during this eating a few shrooms every couple of hours. Ending on probably around 15g of shrooms. This part was the exception rather than the rule.
I have more experience using shrooms to just release emotional stuffs. But not a mix of the 2 for the same, only recreational use of the combination.
Depending on the strength of your shrooms and how you like to feel. For me 4g is quite a bit in one go, not a social dose more a chill in need, or on couch or in bath, I canβt do anything massively productive, but great for catharsis.
I think 180ug is great for just chilling.
If you have 180ug of lsd, sand 4g of shrooms. Iβd suggest taking the lsd (maybe smoke a tiny bit of weed if youβre having anxiety)
Then when youβre feeling settled in the trip, after say 1 to 2 hours start thinking about taking a bit of shrooms. If youβre after major catharsis, chomp em all, if not maybe do 1 to 2 g then give it 2 or so hours before deciding if you want more shrooms.
Ps have smokables and shrooms proportioned or treasured before you start. Iβve spilt and lost so many things when fiddling while high.
Good luck. Let us know hours or goes
I love mixing shrooms and lsd, weβve always called it hippy flipping, with or without weed. Maybe a few light beers (I donβt drink anymore, but a good beer when your just being amazed by the world is glorious)

Dchedda!! Haha, you would have been called 'cheddar', then, if autocorrect had got its way, haha.
I am SO sorry it has taken such a shameful length of time to thank you for this π₯AMAZINGπ₯ response, but I haven't been able to be on here for a while, and when I came back on Friday I couldn't find the post anywhere, not even on my page, I had to get a more LB savvy friend to send a link. But THANK YOU!! I am SO excited to here from someone who's actually done this! I haven't done it yet and have like a squillion questions. I don't want to bore everyone else because I know I'm going to go on, and on, I'm so excited about it, so I hope you don't mind, I'm going to DM.
This is SO excellent. Thank you so much! Β°β’β‘β’Β°π¦π¦π¦π₯

I was thinking about this yesterday, but with micro-dosing as opposed to tripping.
Is it possible to alternate between shrooms and lsd, in such a way that you negate most of the tolerance build up, whilst maintaining the medicinal benefits from both. Thatβs a question I intend to answer.
Just need the shrooms and lsd now lol.

Something I'd wondered myself ShaunyBoy, and what I understand after researching and asking on here is that, because it's the same receptor things that get used ( I can't elaborate on that any better I'm afraid), but basically to all intents a purposes the two substances are the same in some kind of way that means you couldn't do Lucy on your shroom days off and vice versa.
Clever people go into it in more detail in my post on - shrooms, lsd, meds. Lots of helpful info on there :) People mention amanita ( don't know how to spell it ), but apparently that's another option for microdosing. I do, unfortunately, think you need to take two days off between any psychedelic microdosing. I believe they used the words 'cross tolerance '. But this is just what I have learnt. Best of luck with it :) π₯π¦

Ah I figured that would be the case when I heard they use the same receptor. Itβs a pity, but perhaps itβs still possible to alternate them for different medicinal effects? Iβll give your post a look.
And yes mate - Fly Agaric (Amanita muscaria) - the Super Mario mushroom. Supposedly if taken correctly, itβs a powerful nootropic.

Smell proof techniques at home
Recently purchased a Stashic bag to store jars/containers of my smelly smelly herbs but I made a Spinal Tap Stonehenge error in that it is WAY too small. The big rucksack costs around £50. Is something like that worth it or does anybody have a cheap technique to disguise smells? Or other less expensive but efficient brands?
Just Google mylar bags...can pick up 50 for under a tenner on Amazon or anywhere else. All different sizes available and smell &UV proof.
Yes eBay it mate Mylar and use hair straighteners to seal it the best and quicker way
Good suggestion but wouldn’t I have to destroy a bag each time I dipped in for a smoke? Or have I misunderstood? :)
Thanks! I will have a more in depth look. The stashic bag I’ve just bought looks the part I just wish you could have seen my face when I thought it would be rucksack size but was actually a LOT smaller! (My bad for mixing up inch and cm!!!) Anyway the weed I’ve put in doesn’t leak out any smell so all is not lost. :)
Ha! I like your thinking! I like to smoke hash with weed so that would make things worse. Maybe the answer is not to store my stash but smoke it all in one go. Now that's a good solution!! :-)
I packed in flower years ago and only smoke hash now, the smell is one of the reasons I quit flower. Even a joint end that had flower in it can stink out the whole house
look around for a jar for food storage should have one in your house or you can buy one fairly cheap from any store store it in there and no smell
Yeah been doing that for years mate (well those and a couple of pop lid mason jars) and every time I caught a slight whiff would wrap around another plastic bag. About a dozen layers at some point but still a slight smell (it's as though I'm paranoid or something where's that come from?...;-) ) The small stashic bag I now have for my herb/grinder/pipe, etc. is actually VERY good at keeping smells at bay though. Recommended.
Le Parfait clip top jars. They are 100% smell proof. For years. Just replace with genuine gasket when they perish. Come in sizes 250ml up to 3 or 4 litres. Kilner are also good. Other brands are crap and not smell proof.
That backpack looks pretty nice, and could potentially replace an ancient one that doesn't prevent smells...
