You can always use places like localcoinswap. Just make sure you vet the reviews first and from there you can send the crypto from the wallet into your local wallet as an example so it's not held on some exchange or anything for you to get it locked or lost.
It's all done through escrow so it gives you slight peace of mind, only problem right now is that you would be required to use a VPN as the laws in UK changed and they temp blocked it.
