While perusing the wonderful wall of topics it struck me that I haven't seen anything from or about THEGREENTEAM for a while. I then took a look at the items page and saw they did not have any products listed on there either,
which I found rather odd as I know they have plenty of goodies for sale. I would love to see them back where I think they should rightfully be on the wall (when appropriate) and included in the items for sale!

Just took a look at newish vendors page and saw the following:
Lost or Seized Packages:
No refunds will be provided if a package is lost or seized by customs.
No Update for 10 Days:
If tracking shows no updates for 10 consecutive days, you can choose either a free reship or a 50% refund.
By ordering, you accept these terms and understand the risks of international shipping.
Fair enough they state their policy clearly. But why would you ever buy from someone with such policies when there are vendors who wont mess around and will reship or refund if a package is seized. Why would or should buyers take all the risk? - I have no issue with the vendor, but I do sometimes wonder what is going through peoples minds; they are trying to build a business and need to make there service attractive somehow. This is not the way.

We have a similar policy "no refund if delivered" but we have reshipped when the delivery didn't match their address, we aren't evil.
We've never had a seizure in a UK->UK order, if your stealth is good it shouldn't happen really.

Why do some vendors think its justifiable to blatantly lie to customers?
This situation is actually ridiculous (as follows): Ordered a 1g sample from a well known vendor here back in the first week of May. After it didnt arrive in 7 days I messaged the vendor who informed me they had a 20 (TWENTY) day waiting policy before reships. I said fair enough, even though I was a little bit pissed off. After 20 days the item still hadnt arrived and vendor said they would reship. No reship arrived and vendor told me they would send an NDD on (this) Monday; messaging me that it had been shipped and to ask for tracking the next day. As it still had not arrived by Wednesday I messaged the vendor for tracking. To which I was informed that the item had been shipped on the 6th May and there was no tracking for first class mail and inquiring whether I had not received my (original) order. This is Kafka-esque in the extreme. The fact that it is just a 1g sample makes it even more ridiculous. Even if they do make it right, I wont be doing business with them again.

What happens if an order is paid after its cancelled?
Having a nightmare! Was buying from Bittylicious and payment said declined. So I cancelled both the trade and my order here. Then I check my bank and the payment has gone through; so I presume the bitcoins were sent re the order. Any precedent for this? where will the coins end up (will they bounce back to bittylicious or be lost in the void)?

Just wondering if anyone has issues using this vendor? I put in an order on Monday morning well before his cut off of 3pm and paid for sndd. Item was marked as sent at 7.20pm that evening. I messaged asking if my item was being sent that day and got no reply. Today nothing came and despite several messages inquiring about my order I seem to be getting ignored. The vendor last used messenger recently yet my messages lay unseen. It's so frustrating. In the three years I have used LB I have never had this happen. I was kinda relying on this today 🫤

Always been using GC since i been here, never ever had a problem, i agree comms might be abit slow but it always lands regardless, also royal mail has been having major issues atm also so most NDD take a day or 2 to arrive. So mostlikely you shall receive it by tomorrow.

I get that. No worries. I don’t know what an acceptable time would be but I have always had my messages replied to within an hour or so in my experience here. I’m not saying this should be the timescale but when it gets to the evening of the next day and still nothing… I failed to appreciate that you are likely quite busy. So apologies for my reaction. His skywalker is lovely so went with more of that and trying the cookie dawg also. Not had any dawgy strains in a while and reviews saying this is gassy and fresh made me have to add some.
Not tried the dawg so may get that as a side, think it will be the strawberry one for me today (ordering ATM). The Skywalker is lovely, I still have a tiny bit from ages ago. Also got the OZK and some other previous orders mixed up. I get a new one when theres like 2 g left and then focus on consuming the new one leaving a mix of nice little buds.
You're buying drugs homie, don't forget that. drug dealers, the people you buy from, don't typically sit around all day practicing their customer service skills. You're not buying a kettle from Amazon with live updates as to when it will be delivered.

No mate, these are drug dealers, what they do is deliberately break the law so they don't have to follow any societal rules or get a job. They're knowingly taking a massive risk to do what they do and it's by their own choice. They're drug dealers. They sell drugs. You can't expect anything from them other than hopefully getting drugs at some point. And if you were to approach one of these drug dealers in real life and complain about not getting your drugs at the exact second you want them, you're gonna get shanked.

I made a 2 items order and I received it very quickly.
1 item was missing but as soon as he realised he sent it with a big gift.
I think every vendor has delayed problems sometimes so I just order in advance now.
I think he's not replying quickly because he's probably busy with life.
I recommend GC, it's a solid vendor for my opinion.

Royal Mail is shite at the moment, I have a few mates who use LB who've had delays over the last 2/3 weeks or so with different vendors.
RM posted something to an entirely different address for me yesterday, thankfully it wasn't LB related.

Yeah. Maybe the vendor should say delays are likely or something. Just when you opt for SNDD you kinda have to know what’s going on as it won’t be posted through the letterbox if nobody is there to accept it. I wasted my day yesterday waiting for the postman. And today I’m none the wiser as I had no reply after being asked for my details to follow up on my order…
Green Cat is by far one of the very best vendors around. Reliable, safe, mega value for money, decent comms. Had 30 plus orders the last 12 months not one problem.
Green cat 19/20 times has been next day delivery absolutely faultless, I find even with the best of vendors sometimes things out of their control does happen every now and again.
Still use GC and continue to and nearly every purchase has been as said above faultless other than issues with Transaxe or RM issues.

Exactly the same for me, placed before 3pm cut off and marked sent same time but didn’t receive it yesterday but I also got no reply :/ ….
It's not Amazon and GC is taking a risk, so I give some leeway. But its good practice for vendors to manage people's expectations via their bio/topics.

Were all very busy folks. Were giving you our business and you could go a bit further to appreciate that, like replying and responding to messages in sociable hours, giving out tracking numbers to those that have paid for it without having to be asked. Its laborious, frustrating, and your customers will simply go elsewhere. Makes no sense to me. Youve obvs got loyal customers here and id be one too if not for the poor comms and lack of tracking info. Peace and love indeed! ✌️
It might take them a few days at times but i have never been ignored by them got to remember they are the largest vendor on here and their message box is probably full all the time.
Waited 3-4 days last time I had an issue, comms seems a big weak point but will normally be sorted without question in my experience.

Those same folk bombard sellers demanding tracking too. I only use the same handful of vendors now personally, I stay clear of the big vendors like TGT, TGD, Pistach etc. They've got more than enough customers as is, hence take ages to reply to comms (ages being days).
Theres a simple answer to avoid customers bombarding them. Just give out the tracking when its marked sent as with any other decent vendor. It really isnt rocket science. If theyre that busy they can afford to answer customers, and also give out tracking to save them any hassles. Its a no brainer really
Why not? We live in a fast paced society where if the vendor is online during the day all day taking orders as theyve stated, they can reply to their customers requests. In any other service industry it would be poor comms so why not this?
Yes they do, I raised an issue and it took about a day for a reply. they sorted it instantly and package arrives the following day. 15+orders here and apart from this 1 which was instantly sorted, everything has been perfick
Yep. On every order. First of all tracked 24 is no such thing as no matter when you order this vendor has a 9pm cut off. Even then im not sure they send when they say they have. They say theyre online all day every day taking orders but its not true. If that was the case the items could be sent on the day but theyre sent the next. They say they answer messages seperately to taking orders but thats ridiculous. Most vendors will send a courtesy message saying thanks for the order etc. This order is late and ive asked for tracking but they dont reply til past my bedtime, if they reply at all. Used this vendor a lot a long time ago and they were great. Not anymore though.

We’re always praised for our quality, efficiency, and pricing. The one area we’ve had a few upsets about is reply times.
I (the founder) have handled orders and messages since 2019, with breaks only on Royal Mail holidays. With life and family commitments, replies sometimes get slow. A few years back I tried to delegate this, but it backfired because it meant sharing passwords and we nearly had major issues — not an easy decision.
But the time has come.
From today (02/11/2025), our Head of Customer Relations, Zara, is taking over customer service. She’s been training for 3 weeks and will now provide daily support.
Replies: Daily (Sun–Fri)
No support: Saturdays & UK Bank Holidays
Expect faster replies, clearer comms and consistency!

I use revolut and get charged between £3.15 to £3.50 for buying £500 to 600 worth of bitcoin

If you have revolut and get revolut x which works along side the normal revolut app you'll get cheaper fees to the normal app and you need the normal revolut to send the coin out. I'd be asking for a refund and went elsewhere where

Just got 3 reviews in from a customer who brought back in September what an amazing memory this biggaz has commendable.
My guess is it's either a rouge vender alt or a hard up radical antifa type that love to harass and hinder me especially when it's posted on a Sunday evening it's definitely part of this continuing attack on my shop and reputation as if I am not worthy like I don't deserve to be seen.
It's like death by a thousand paper cuts, or could be if I wasn’t actually really good at my job and I have to work extra hard as I have this target on my back of this cancel culture that will be stamped out entirely with a big light shone all over the dark cesspit and this is will be inevitable as it leads to nowhere just despair and hate for business owners and hard workers they hate the very thought of it.

This is abit worrying as I've seen someone say this before about a month and a half ago, but I can only speak on my experiences with the vendor, as I can't honestly say a bad word about them, albeit I didn't order a massive amount I think the most I've ordered off then is 2 z , but I've had multiple orders off them maybe 10+ and no problems everything, I even took a risk when I initially made my first order as they only had like 25 sales, anyhow I just find this intriguing as all my parcels have come correct, and I would say the general consensus is that the majority off people commend their service, 500 reviews in a few months says alot, so as I say it's very very intriguing, sorry you had to deal with this

This is a much more serious issue than is being talked about on here. Most folk seem quite blasé about it but having experienced an audit first-hand they dont play around. LB`s reliance on a single form of Crypto has always been a bit of an issue but from next year (probably later this year tbh) it's going to become a very serious problem I suspect. I love this place & want to see it continue & grow but if it just stays as-is in the face of the new regs I`m not sure how it survives.

I agree with you I had a letter from them saying that they were aware of my online selling on digital platforms and that I had to report everything else they'll look into it deeper.
If they do the same with crypto there is going to be much pain.

We could be, but it’s financial services, and those guys don’t mess about when it comes to keeping their house in order. Perhaps it’s time to lay low and see where the dust settles. I just hope LB comes up with some alternative ways for users to purchase now that doesn’t drag us all down via the taxman

Peoples accounts may be restricted or suspended, but there will be no financial or legal difficulties for past buying behaviour.
I totally agree with this. We keep getting our knickers in a twist but there is no offence of buying weed online -offences cover possession and supply not crypto purchases for personal use. Sure companies can ask for more information about your transaction but I do not think they’re going to be able to check that information. My bank contacted me several times wanting to know about my small purchases of crypto. The first time I told them I was building a crypto portfolio. The second time I said I was buying medicinal cannabis. They said that’s okay we just need to make sure you are not being coerced or scammed. I really wonder whether anybody gives a shit about personal use by post.

Sorry mate, but am I missing a point here? Surely you are only liable for tax on your crypto earnings. What’s that gotto do with buying weed? Personally I don’t stake any crypto. I literally just load up my wallet when I want to buy so where is the problem?
You are, Pol. They consider potential profit at the time of disposal of the crypto (in this case, by buying weed) for the purposes of Capital Gains. The threshold for that is £1k, I believe, so I can't see that I'd need to declare, as I rarely hold it for long, and often also make losses which would offset the gains. Hopefully they either don't notice, or agree if they do...
So if it's less than £1000 in gains (not in purchases), and you have no other things to consider for the calculation, then it's fine...right...? They can talk to my accountant, again...

Yeah, they can fuck right off with that. I can barely keep track of legitimate records, let alone crypto weed purchase ones.
Good point, if you only buy and then move to exodus and send for purchase, and have never sold btc..are you exempt from all this?
I guess we'll have to wait and see but if I got a letter from the Revenue tomorrow then I would reply with a big fat duck egg '£0' and if they wanted the detail I would print off my exchange transaction sheet. Job done...don't see the issue.

For buyers the most worrying issue IMO isn’t HMRC saying we owe tax (though a 20% effective rise on weed prices certainly isn’t good)….
The most worrying side of this is the very real risk of having your bank account closed due to using it for illegal activity.
I know 2 different people who had their revolut accounts closed because they were regularly buying crypto but had no legit source of income.

For most people - I assume - a Revolut account is usually secondary to their primary account.
If no fraud charges are forthcoming, and the account was closed due to Revolut crypto policies, the individual can surely just open a new account with a different bank.
It's obviously not ideal, but not really a concern.

Banks are in no way obligated/legally required to let you open an account with them & they don’t even need to tell a reason if they decline your application. Banks also very much share information between each other.

All of the uncertainty surrounding the future of crypto purchasing, really just reiterates the need for legalisation. Especially with the potential financial benefit to the economy.
I would like to see more visibility of the issue in the media, promoting the impact this would have for the country. Less about the medicinal benefits, because people are more closed minded to these facts. We need the support of the consumers in high profile jobs, government officials and civil servants, people whose voice would be heard by those in power.
Outing yourself as a cannabis user publicly carries the obvious risks, but without standing up to be counted, the true scale of our impact will never be felt.

I'm saying there is no risk in that respect. In my case I could look at my exchange record, see maybe 100 transactions with a total value of c.£5k but it also shows the rate the crypto was bought at and transferred and its virtually the same because I am only buying to spend. There is no gain or loss. That information is sitting there for anyone who wants to see it and why should I care? Even if they hold me down and beat me until I tell them about all my tiny weed purchases online I still haven't done anything wrong.

Stakes it?! I'm the barometer of when not to buy or hold it mate! Genuinely. If you want to know when to buy it's probably when I have to sell (to get weed), and I lose money. That's what annoys me most about all this nonsense. Oh, and they don't take into account any fees you had to pay, they just want their cut. It's all hypothetical until it's cashed out, surely...? Entry and exit of the system are the risk points.
I definitely take your point about large buys though as it's at least £1k/month (well, just under, as then there's no trigger of anything to look into) that I'm getting and not holding for long. There's always some residual amount in the wallet though.

That'll be because selling 30+ items a year regardless of amount makes you a business. Example ebay if you sell 30+ items in a year your details get automatically sent to the tax man. Far as I see if a cap is put on the amount of times you buy crypto to be classed as a trader that'll be a problem but I didn't see that in the article.

Doesn’t the ‘building a portfolio’ reason not just mean they have already ticked the box on you for potential capital gains tax. Can’t even spend the money we earned that is already taxed without it being taxed again….wonder what LB can do to adapt for this because it could kill the business on here. Vendors will have their coin sent to non-KYC wallets, and do magical mixing things and transfers before exiting the system (the risk point). Or, they could cycle it back into products and all still be anonymous? Definitely not a risk from this in that scenario, surely?

The article mentions that these crypto banks should start collating the data now in readiness…whether they will or won’t is anyone’s guess but I would venture they will start soon so they have their houses in order go for Jan 2026. Is it time to call it a day I wonder or how would one work around this

I could never work out how to actually make a transaction on there. Baffled me, and I generally deal with complex information as a matter of course.

Tried making an account with hodl hodl, everything went well until I logged on an hour later and my account was banned for some reason. Struggling to find anywhere else, might be the of LB for me if I can’t find anywhere else
I’m surprised that a site like LB hasn’t embraced XMR/Monero. The last time I checked it was one of the few untraceable crypto’s. Easily exchangeable for other digital currencies. It would seem ideal for LB purposes.

Even if they know you’ve made these transactions they cannot technically prove it was cannabis you purchased and received unless they catch you with the product itself. That’s why it would be hard to prove. Still I may use this opportunity to quit smoking again because it’s getting a bit iffy me being honest.
So what can vendors do to keep biggy alive I want to stay but I’m not as in the know as much as I would want to be could someone help a bigga out
Not a vendor, just super cautious, but the main thing I feel as an initial step would be only having payouts from here sent to a non-KYC wallet like Exodus. You'd need to chat to vendors about mixing and sending to other wallets and how to exit the system
Exodus is a good one, your best bet is to get a ledger. Then nobody knows what you have unless you give it to them, also this place uses transaxe so as a seller it doesn’t go direct to my wallet, I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again the best coin on here would be monero as it leaves 0 trace

It’s been months since I’ve used Pistach, had some real shit experiences with him but thought by now they must have fixed up. Was I wrong? 100%. They ship whatever you like, not what you ordered, they will do it late and not reply to your messages. I rarely post on topics but these guys straight suck. Always a fkn guessing game. Honestly I hope everyone soon realises how trash yall are.

Hi there, new buyer so still learning the ropes here. I had a message from the vendor I ordered from saying they were about to dispatch my order but 80 hours had passed so it automatically cancelled the order. I said to the vendor no problem I will order again when the refund comes through. This was about 4 days ago now. I sent my wallet address as a reply to refund borg straight away but still no refund. Does anyone know how long a refund takes to process as I can order again until I get the funds back.

I’m going with never again as everyday would get repetitive.
As someone who has smoked cannabis of some form pretty much everyday for 75% of my life. Im going to go with never again too. If I'm honest at 50 my lungs feel shite, clogged up and on the way out. If I never manage to stop I will almost certainly die younger than expected from a lung condition.
Facing the dark truth of our dirty habit is a hard thing to do. I just wish it wasn't so unhealthy.
If you'd have said never tried it or smoked the best quality gear everyday? I'd choose not to even try it. I love it so much that Ive never heen able to stay away from it, but smoking it is slowly killing us.

Oh believe me I've tried that a few times. I have a mighty that is a pleasure to use but I plough through so much. Im weak willed when it comes to desiring a spliff. Vaping just makes me want a joint also.

I was smoking every day but really hating myself for it, then I read the Allen Carr book on how to give up smoking tobacco (I’ve never smoked tobacco at all but figured it’s the same thing) and that was it, I just stopped despite trying unsuccessfully loads of times before. Why am I here? Well occasionally I check in when bored to see what’s going on but never buy anything.

IMO it all comes down to quantities and method. I could never go back to combustion and being high all the time is boring. But I would choose to microdose each evening with a dry herb vape and a frostie beer over never having another puff....

Much like eating, breathing, sleeping and reproducing; smoking would get repetitive you are correct.

There is no telling that they might come at the same time, and the choice will be made for you.
I think if it was guaranteed I would never get lung/ respiratory issues later in life I would smoke forever, unfortunately that is not the case. Luckily one can get edibles/ tinctures, live resin and vapes on here as an alternative. I enjoy live resin carts these days (closest thing in terms of spliff hit for me, yes good edibles hit harder perhaps as they always did, and if I wanted couch look I would perhaps look at edibles) and feel better for it. I do miss a spliff and rolling one, but the last time I tried to smoke spliff it made me want to puke it was that disgusting. There is no way I’m going back to spliff now….then again I probably smoked spliff for about 25 years so I can’t say I didn’t spliff it to the max…..

I’ve smoked hash for nearasdammit 40yrs, and have been aware of temple balls all that time. This is my first time trying them though.
I understood - perhaps incidentally - temple balls were slow-burned in the temples to, er.. “improve the ambience” as it were.. if that’s the case, explains the clove/cinnamon oil cut/contaminant/enhancement, if that’s what it is.
On arrival, scratch test: unusual greeny hue under the typical dark chocolate oxidised layer, but the sniff-after-scratch left me scratching my head; no hash smell! Clove’ish? Definitely. Cinnamon’ish? Somewhat. Undertone of faint chocolate even? Possibly. But no hashy smell.
At this stage I was beginning to wonder if I’d been burned on this score. So I decided to skin up and find out.
Definitely a heavy stone. That said I’m heavy handed 🤣. Presumably indica. I say that because I don’t normally feel a “night/day” distinction between sativa/indica, but this one is not conducive to action and interaction, that’s for sure. Assuming it’s either indica or sativa at all. Fuck knows!
So.. conclusion: it gets you stoned, no question, but it’s something new and head-scratchy for an experienced old-school hash fiend, so I’m lfeeling still not 100% sure what it is. Left wondering if I’m misunderstanding something.

Baked last weekend with time to kill, decided to top it off by popping an edible or two and started re-reading Thus Spoke Zarathustra. Well... Suffice to say that I'm still thinking about it.
Metro 2033 was an interesting read while stoned, as was World War Z, I am legend, The Road, and the brilliant Children Of Men.
I will say, though, that reading Rosemary's Baby high left a very strange feeling in my heart. Like I truly have no idea what's happening just next door from me.
Y'all got any recommendations? Reading Lord of The Rings currently, then have a few philosophy & history books lined up.

i can't read books high as the words don't go in, and i find it amazing that anyone can!
but here are a couple of recommendations:
- mason & dixon, by thomas pynchon. possibly my favourite novel, and i recently finished a fourth or fifth reading of it.
- ways of being, by james bridle. fascinating book about AI, climate change, computing, and how we humans relate to (or fail to relate to) the non-human world.

Thomas Pynchon is such a good writer. My personal favourite is Gravity's Rainbow. Pretty sure that he would write a lot of his work completely high to help him get into the characters' heads...and then edit it sober. Which isn't a bad process. It's probably how he came up with a guy who's have sex when a missile falls, so they use his erection as an early warning system ;). Also a long, phantasmagorical trip down a toilet.

Joe Abercrombie is my current favourite author. Kind of grim fantasy.
He builds characters so well you feel like you know them. Start with the First Law trilogy or The Heroes if you just want to dip your toe in.

Moby Dick and the white whale is sooo worth it. Its a huge undertaking but when approached in the right atate of mind its a hugely rewarding read. Brilliant travel or sickness/recovery companion.
Shantaram has deservedly popped up on this topic quite a few times. Good read. Especially if you are wary of dogs......

Might be a bit late to the thread but ragdoll by daniel cole is a book i wish i could read for the first time again, crime drama/detective fic, highly recommend. They turned it into a tv series too, which i havent seen yet so cant say if its as good as the book.

Hi there, I fulfilled a life goal (sadly it took a spine injury which is why I smoke so much lol) by collecting and reading every single Terry Pratchett book, namely the Discworld series, in order ofc lol. Described Like Lord of the Rings, but with comedy.
The early few books he's still finding his feet in the world he creates imo but soon it becomes a wonderfully weaved web of hilarity and a comparison of the real world and his own.
Theres also something for everyone, i personally like the "Guards" series following the careers of the officers there.
So many but a random quote without even checking.

Shop will be shutting on the 7th September at 8pm for around a month. Not sure exactly when will be back open yet. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause our biggy familia and thank you for being patient.

Just for info, the standard Dispute tab appears 10 days after your order is sent. Opening a dispute creates a further 16 day window for you to discuss and hopefully resolve the issue with the vendor (most disputes are settled this way). Sitting on a product for more than those 26 days and then disputing on quality leaves you way outside of the process. Just advice as I see you are a noob...

I bought a oz off of urban leaf Co a week or so ago and absolutely no problem whatsoever
But I paid for a oz and only got a 3.5 It wasn't vaccume sealed it was just wrapped in 3 black mylar bags
I have linked a picture and you can see that 8 jars that sise would not fit in there
I just want to leave this here as proof ty I've messaged the vendor obviously

My orders auto-fill the address. But I always double check before sending the coin. Complacency is everyones enemy.

I placed an order on September 27th, and it wasn’t shipped until the 30th, with tracked delivery. However, my package never arrived. After several messages to the seller (with responses only around 9 am daily), I finally got the tracking info yesterday 9/10. The tracking showed it was delivered, but after contacting Royal Mail, I found it was sent to the wrong address. I was close to blaming my housemate before I made the sensible decision to call royal mail 😅
When I informed the seller, they essentially blamed me, which was frustrating. I can't be 100% sure the mistake didn't happen on my end but my address is auto filled and it is correct. While I understand mistakes happen, the seller's slow replies and lack of real help have made this experience really disappointing. Has anyone else had similar issues with this seller? Would it be worth disputing?

My address autofills for me and it is correct? Ive done it over 25 times and had no issues ever, I don't see how the mistake could be on my end however because the address deletes itself, of course i can't be 100% sure. Is that hard to understand?
LB removed the saved/auto-fill feature from the order page for Opsec reasons. I’m not saying you don’t have a device that still enables that but none of mine do. How wrong was the address?- I’m guessing a mix on the postcode? Hard to know where the blame lies, even RM? Do you know where they actually delivered it?

It was a single digit with the number of address for example instead of 78 it was sent to 68 we were accused of changing the address somehow.

I've been on here over 2 years now and these complaints have been consistent since before then. Great you had it sorted out. Caveat Emptor, always.
They have so many ratings that they have fallen off and arnt bothered it seems, most people compliant Is no comms and the smoke they get is not what they ordered mad people stil use them but each to there own I guess

As a younger person I thought it was a completely pointless war, which Britain should not have been involved with (largely influenced by Blackadder goes forth). But as ive read more about the situation, I have come to realise that there was little choice.

These comments got existential quick huh? My (not so) controversial opinion is that children and young teens should not have access to social media. Wrecks your mind so fast. Just turns into a hate echo chamber. Just look at any of the big social comment sections

most likely be replaced by ai and robots in the next 50-100 years, which will lead to a dependant class who rely on the rich/goverment to live as they have accumulated all the resources and all I want to do until then is escape and live off the grid away from all the bs

We have been in a state of regression since the 80s with TV and radio taking over, plus the birth and boom of gaming consoles.
Babylon was built without 1 screen or speaker present and and the cons massively out wiegh the pros in my opinion.

When you say on an individual basis, what would be the alternative?
I think a lot of advancements are driven by the power of information and the difference between having it and not having it being a deciding factor in almost everything from individuals to nation states.
I agree that this hyper evolution of technology is out of control and a simpler time would be great but as they say "AI is the dumbest it will ever be today" other something lol

I don't see an alternative I think bringing back books and learning hands on far outweighs any progress that was made from the smart phone or the tablet.
All ancient empires were built without trivial prices of technology and thrived, and all that has happened since the birth of 'at home' technology is the degradation of the entire globe. And to be completely honest apart from technology getting more compplex what actual advancements have occurred in the last 50 years? There is still no 'cure' for things like cancer and dementia, people are dying younger and poverty is more prevalent now than it has been in that time.
I don't know maybe I'm old-school and would rather live in a world with the flintstones than the rothschilds.

I am of the (controversial) opinion that they are not: no tech is evil in and of itself and the dangers I found are over-inflated.

I imagine you'd be extracting more from the material producing white ash, and it speaks to a superior curing process; but it doesn't indicate essential quality of the product.

The death penalty should be brought back, and made into a public event so we can buy tickets to watch it. Modern science allows us certainty in a lot of convictions so we have the piece of mind that the twat deserves it

Nice competition! Opinion: The constant bombardment of advertising drains the life out of me. All but a handful of very specific adverts make me wanna scream. I haven't always been like this. Nearly all of my life I've been able to tune it out as presumably most people do. But it's hard not to feel like I'm constantly trying to be manipulated, my [very basic, mind you] intelligence is constantly insulted, and that I feel very trapped by it. Nearly every facet of life
I only class this is controversial because while people in general "don't like ads", they absolutely tolerate it. But I genuinely feel like my soul is being ripped from my body. And if I hear AI one more time, I'm gonna scream. An AI fridge? An AI toaster? An AI frisbee? An AI toilet plunger? The sooner this buzzword bubble pops, the better

Vendors should test and describe their products personally (or have a tester to do so), and should do so with each new batch.
It's mostly important imo for medical folks but it'd serve all corners of the community, especially those on a budget.
