After a lengthy break form biggy. I'm back with some temple balls made from Hollyweed by Bodhi seeds. Made Frenchy Cannoli style, Bless his soul for sharing his wisdom too the world.

Ice water / bubble hash is my favourite, it's the terpiest extract in a vaporiser from my experience.
But theres also something about classic dry sift (premium dry sift, not comms / semi-dry) that I just love, even if they are far less terpy than ice water hash - you still get concentrated terps.

Deffo ice water and what you’re putting out there looks incredible tbf. I’ve made and pressed my own hash but only ever with limited amounts of trim to work with so only ever very small return. Above is blackjack, which melted very nicely and got be blasted lol

Artisan hash done right. Received NDD with the most thorough stealth you could ask for, complete with decoys and multiple layers of packaging.
The hash itself is pungent, unbelievably fresh and of a beautiful, evenly cured and pressed texture. Its a tier above static hashes but not as 'concentratey' as some iceolators. Very hashy and musky and the cure has done wonders for the overall profile- its delicate and nuanced. The smell is sharp and ranges from a musky, floray bash smell to what I can only liken to a slight kushy guava scent. Its a very unique profile overall, definitely one for any flavour chasers.
The high is POTENT. Euphoric and racey initially, settles into the body, typical hashy stone but a lot more cerebral. Not quite as anxiety inducing as modern day high tier hashes though, the genetics and the cure both contribute to a balanced, super enjoyable high.
Its rare to get hash like this. Obviously made with love, genetics which are different from your usual cookies/cakey profiles, extraction, pressing and curing technique obviously honed, just an absolute pleasure overall. Excellent comms and overall service too. The hollyweed flower sample was just the cherry on top.

Damage depends on how long I age them for. But typically I smoke them because A they are fire and B people don't like splashing out because they don't understand what a temple ball is.
I may make some for around xmas time, Test the waters on LB ok :).

I think you are going to need a 1 or 2g option on that or the price is just too big a risk even at Xmas🤷♂️🎅
I think I'm not wrapping up teeny tiny 1g balls in an oxygen protected wrap for however long I feel like aging them for. Once I've wrapped them, They stay wrapped till someone smokes one.
But I'll keep that in mind incase there's a chance more might be around in another years time or maybe two.

It's all good, DankPants... I sense you might well know what you're doing. If this is genuinely a proper effort at a Frenchy style Temple Ball, aged for 6 months... I might dip a toe in.
Unless you're a hash nerd, this won't be worth it. But that's the right wrap and the right size for temple ball treatment.
Then it's a supply/demand thing. People stretch almost this far for (far less potent) Cali bud packs. It is very expensive... but these sort of things don't crop up often (and when they do, I'd guess it'd be from a small scale hobbyist).
This might well be my festive treat. A relatively unproven vendor maybe... but then this isn't a typical commercial product.

Just to add... the last UK temple ball I bought off here about 18 months ago (can't remember who from) was almost this price. And absolutely banging.

Been a smoker for years, I was a problem drinker before I got into weed and it helped get me off the booze for good. I’ve loved being a smoker some great times but it’s just not compatible with my life any more.. too busy with work and my family don’t like it so I have to be secretive which isn’t ideal. Has anyone tried to come off using mushrooms? Has it worked? Would you have any advice? I’ve had mushrooms a few times but no more than 3.5 in one sitting. I feel like I need a mental boost that will enable me to kick the habit.

It's too much for the human body having to deal with a massive change in habit with low quality nutrition, the body needs good fuel to keep you going through it all.

Have you thought about natural highs... Like learning guitar or working on improving your body shape lifting? Boredom and disconnect lasts about a month with weed withdrawal which feels long when you are in it, but soon passes if you're bsy
i second the nutrition , i usually make pots of chanko and a lot of things like stews etc plenty of veg and good clean proteins.
no problem i used to smoke a lot and i do like an Oz in a week sometimes twice a month then i'll have a week or so off .The more you keep having regular Tolerance breaks the easier it is to do it next time.Its like anything even coffee or chocolate your body will miss it if its a regular thing. try taking st johns wart before bed but don't do it a lot its to boost your serotonin and help you sleep. But don't do it a lot because that can effect your sleep if your body starts to rely on it.

But quit smoking last year in October when my chest was mega tight and couldn't smoke a J without feeling like my throat was on fire.
I used patches for 3 days
For the 1st week I would light up a J smoke a bit and flush it down the toilet after feeling guilty. And then just quit all together.
To be fair it stopped the crazy dreams you get after 2 weeks of stopping weed. @ 1st I missed the ciggys. But now I just fancy a spliff every so often.
The only thing I couldn't stop was smoking.

Switching from cigarettes to nicotine vapes is super easy, tapering down the nicotine level is a slow but straightforward process.
Once you only vape weed/ hash it’s good, but not the same and without the nicotine it’s pretty easy to break the daily habit. Just my 2c.
Maybe a large dose of mushrooms may change your perspective on smoking, until you’re on a rough comedown and reach for the cigs again. Microdosing to break a smoking habit? yeah zero evidence of that working at all.

mate its easy to come off though if you have been smoking for years without a break it will take you 4-5 weeks to get over the return of REM sleep you might get some crazy dreams but that is about the worst thing that happens.
My problem is tobacco its harder to come off than cocaine so dont try and do both at the same time not sure mushrooms are the answer especially if you are not used to them.

Personally I've been using nicotine pouches with great results, I now turn to pouches whenever I get nicotine cravings, seems to do the trick, I now no longer find cigarettes to be appealing I get a stronger and longer lasting nicotine buzz.

Strange one for me, I love my music and from teens to 30s savoured everything then I hit a dull patch and nothing! In 2018 someone sent me a link to marabou states album kingdoms in colour and I loved it , musically brilliant and well produced . My tastes vary from old school rock to chilled stuff Kruder and Dorfmeister , DnB , Jazz . I found this album so exciting and good!! Sadly since 2018 haven’t found anything that excited me
"Overmono" have been killing it for me over the last year or so. They are worth checking out.....
Its because Simon Cowell the living incarnation of the anti-christ ruined the music industry. I got into NWOBHM. New wave of British heavy metal. I saw Saxon supporting Rainbow and the crowd were still calling for Saxon after Rainbow set. Blackmore fired them as the support band. Thats the only time I have seen the support band blow the headline band away.

Memory Lane: Old school weed strain recommendations please
I was sent a sample of Afghan Kush by Cannabis Cannibals this week and it got me thinking about doing a week on the old school flavours.
This weekend I've mostly been rolling some super strong bangers. I did a gram of tangerine dream in my first of the day yesterday with mixtures of a couple of types of live resin sugar, jungle boys hash, and blue nerds weed to follow. It's all quite lovely stuff. I've been pretty blasted as planned. Mission accomplished. Well done me. It's rare I get a weekend devoid of responsibilities so it was nice to nullify my ability to take any new ones on.
Anyway, this morning, as I was sat chugging away at the Afghan Kush as my starter for the day, it brought back some flavour memories of the past and I started to think it might be fun to do a week smoking a few old school flavours.
Back in the day (yes I'm an old fella) in the UK you mostly got hash of mixed quality depending upon exactly which era you point at. Weed was usually the Thai stick kind. I'm not planning to go back to then. I remember the first person in my town to bring Skunk in from Amsterdam. Man, he was popular. I can still remember those first few puffs blowing my mind and me heading out to Amsterdam not long afterwards.
Over the years that followed the quality in the UK remained so-so and every trip to Dam showcased new excitement in the form of a new prize winning strain at the top of the menu. I was super excited as I discovered skunk, skuff hash, super skunk, white widow, icolater hash and many more with each trip out there heralding a new treasure. The California orange bud I've heavily covered off in other topics so probably better not dive down that rabbit hole again but it's my favoured flavour profile and was a banker on a Dam trip.
The UK seemed completely backwards in comparison to the scene in Holland although of course it's now been many years since UK weed caught up with the rest of world in terms of a general standard. That being said the obsession with serving up Stardawg perplexes me to this day. How that became and remained a go-to strain will always be beyond me.
There's many strains of yesteryear still widely available on LB that I generally look past as I flavour chase the new tastes - much like the blue nerds. But bits like silver bubble, diesel or blue cheese might be interesting blasts of the past. The silver has a very unique tang to it that I've not had for a while and diesel also has a significant and unique sourness that I've not tasted for a long time. Blue cheese was at one point the only weed I could get. Everyone had it. I wonder what I'd think of it now or if I'd just sigh, "blue cheese again..."
I'm pretty haze averse so I'm unlikely to be going down the lemon, ammy, g13 route but some hazes I do like such as silver haze so I wouldn't fully rule them out. Although I prefer silver bubble to the silver haze. That's the right mix of flavours for me.
It might be nice to have a plain old cheese or a white widow like I mentioned earlier. I've not had the Gringo for years but I'd be into that if it was available.
I'd be interested to see some old school recommendations and have a trip down memory lane. What old school strains do you still actively buy or wish you could buy?

Great read mate, took me back to my first dam trip. A menu for weed 🤯 12 guilders(£4) a gram and the best weed I had smoked.

Then walking around stoned AF and having to dodge cyclists who are coming from all directions, ringing their little bells.
I think the white widow was about the strongest I had, but I preferred the orange bud and Hindu kush flavours.👌

follow that up by getting to the hotel stepping in the elevator and not actually pushing the button. 1 min later the doors opened and the receptionist was still there looking at us and then burst into laughter at 3 red eyed tourists.

There was a magic in first being, and then on subsequent trips, seeing, an English tourist on their first trip to Dam just commented similar. Brings back memories. Good times man although I'm bloody glad I don't have to travel hundreds of miles to smoke something decent now.
Aye, I remember the gilders. The exchange rate was favourable so not only were you in the mind-blowing and often eye opening (sometimes eye popping) situation you describe, it was at a bargain rate. I haven't been out there in fifteen years now. The euros made it comparable to bowling around London in terms of prices. I guess it'd be less of a culture shock now and.the weed would be similar to what I smoke anyway. I still wish the UK would catch up with much of the rest of the world and adopt a tolerant cannabis culture of some kind. As you say it was enlightening to be able to blaze a spliff and not be a criminal in the process but a tourist.
Aside from my first trip, when I fitted.the profile myself, we used to look for the typical English tourist on their first trip who'd roar into the coffee shop, buy every bit from the top of the menu, start smoking, get halfway through, and start to realise they'd bitten off a wee bit more than they could chew.
I think the nicest bit I had last trip was a bubblegum (don't quote me) and also had an ice hash that was ridiculously strong. My mate who I was with happily tried all the weeds but three puffs of that and it, he said, "ruined my whole night"!

19 years ago on my 14th birthday I was given 1g of white widow and 1g of ak47 by my older brother. Never had an example of those strains that has come close to how good they were. The ak 47 had crazy terps that left a sour taste on the side of your tongue for hours after. The widow was coated in sticky milky white trichs, pretty sure it’s where the rumour of weed being laced with coke came from lol. Never seen ak or widow like them since.

I think the original skunk has been all but lost sadly. The one from Cali in the 80s anyway. It was used as such a building block for other strains it kind of got bred away.

I think I might remember the catalogue or one like it. I ordered some bits from a magazine to look at growing back then which I never went forward with. I remember the two booklets I had though. One explained how to grow and one was a seed catalogue. This would be 1992 ish. I can remember Northern Lights, Purple Haze, Blueberry and various others were in there although the list was short, maybe 20 options at most. Like you say I used it like bud porn and read it over and over.

I think the big problem with Hazes for me was that as it got more commercial it tended to be harvested too soon, so you ended up with that racy, anxiety inducing high. Good haze shouldn’t do that.
It's exactly this I don't like. I think every bit of lemon haze I've had in recent years has been a head-spangler.
Now I remember being sold Orange Bud by some guy back when I went to the weed man and we were happy he sold weed. Actually he was probably the hash guy who occasionally got decent Red Seal, back in the mid '90s. Was this Orange Bud, or was the man a bullshitter? Thinking back through the annals of time I'm thinking it was about £30/Q? When the Red Seal was probably similarly priced due to rarity and alright hash without plastic in was about £80/oz.
I only ever got it in UK in early 2000s it was around £120/oz but it actually had a nice orange flavour which stood out against the general shit of the day. I am sure my memories are enhanced by nostalgia and my tolerance at the time.

The only purples I ever got were like smoking perfume, put me off purples scarred for life.
The original orange bud was a creeper of significant proportion. You'd blaze through a spliff, taste was completely unique with a dank sour note, then, after you stubbed it out the secondary hit would begin to kick in.
I loved it when it first arrived as a tasty cheese upgrade. Then for what seemed like years it was all everyone had. I'm curious if I'll remember it fondly or not. It's a roll of the dice man.

Sour Kush. Had a m8 grow it years ago, the best clout I have had from a strain and the taste was one of a kind. I've never been lucky enough to have it again but always looking for it on here 😁

Hey Biggas. A lot of us share the weed we love on this site so I thought it might be interesting to mix things up and see which strains don't do it for you.
I'll kick things off with Runtz. I like Zkittles and I like Gelato, but for some reason I have never really enjoyed Runtz. I think it's a combination of two good strains that somehow produced a worse one. Just my opinion of course, interested to hear what the rest of you think.

I was going so say mimosa, no matter how good it is, those orange terps remind me of burning rubber. Strange.
So glad I’m not alone in hating mimosa terps. The first time I smelled/tasted it, I genuinely thought the weed was bogus. Like it had been artificially flavoured with something nasty. Then when I got good mimosa it was the exact same terps. Not for me like.

I like Mimosa for the effect and I don't mind the taste. I am not keen on some of the other strains that taste similar like Tangerine Dream so I can see where you're coming from. Citrus strains can be hit and miss on the terps front.
I think Mimosa is the only strain taste wise that lives up to the hype. 90% of weed tastes to me exactly what it is- heated vegetation. All the “mouth watering “ descriptions completely pass me by…occasionally I get pine bathroom cleaner but heyho…

I hear you, I’d say I’m less of a flavour hunter too and more just looking for ways to encourage variety. I’ve definitely been let down by mouth watering descriptions a lot, but at the same time been surprised a lot too. I’m not really sure how much truth there is in all this supposed terp nuance either tbh…

I definitely taste different flavours. And Mimosa makes me sick 😂 Saying that I usually taste weed as it smells until I’ve smoked a couple spliffs. Then it’s hit or miss. Weird 😂 That’s the wonderful thing with Cannabis. The variety is astounding so everyone and their preferences are catered for 😁
Bang on, I’m not into any tangey variants either. I accidentally bought some expensive import bud a few weeks ago that had tangey/mimosa heritage. The bud was clearly excellent in every department, probably well worth the money, but the terps ruined it for me. Just tasted artificial, almost like a nicotine vape or something. Different strokes and all that.
Hate the taste but iv yet to find a strain that is almost comparable to taking codine for feel good factor. I’ll smoke dry straw for that

The Brazilian sativa element is too racy and the Indian indica just melts you. It’s always an intense Indica v Sativa battle.
Usually with hybrids I get the sativa effect then it chills into indica but white widow pummels me with both from the get go and leaves me meditating to the ganja gods with tai chi breathing to alleviate me from the poisonous kiss of White Widow.

Lemon Tree is the strain I most dislike. I use to love a good lemon skunk or lemon haze 20 years ago. Not the same anymore.

Way back I got some free seeds with the seeds I ordered. NYC diesel they were, so I grew them and was so disappointed, it tasted awful. Haven't really gone for diesel since. Have smoked loads of diesel cross.

I've not tried the Tropicana strains, but I do agree about the Tangies as I don't get on with the taste of them either.

I had a prescription for pink kush and sour tangie. Sour tangie provides good effects but smells like sick. Same goes for Sour D too

At it's best, it is hard to better. I have had some good tasting examples but they are becoming rarer.
The genetics are laden with problems so it is difficult to get the correct pheno from seed. But if you have the correct clone (as is the case with chemdawg) and it is grown and cured adequately, it is a very nice smoke imo.

It's completely possible I've not had the best versions but also maybe just a taste or body chemistry thing where for whatever reason those strains don't do it for me. I'm unlikely to test the theory any further by buying more when there's a myriad of sweeter options at LB that are more up my street. The world would of course be boring if we were all the same.

To be fair to the vendors on here I've not had any of the strains I've mentioned from anyone on LB. There's definitely more exciting strains to me available here so I'm unlikely to backtrack just to make sure I don't like it though.

Dislike any orange strains personally. Also not a huge fan of gelato 41. It’s too sweet and lingers on the lips in our opinion. If you enjoy the sweeter strains then probably your cup of tea

FYI opium is the dried exudate from slicing the outside of poppy pods. You are totally correct Mrs joining July 2022 to troll that technically poppy pods are not opium but they do contain everything opium contains and you can get totally wasted on them just like opium. I ordered some banana kush hash from him over ten days ago and he hasn’t sent my order and everytime I msg him it’s the same reply u order has been shipped when we both know that’s not true. I’d advise everyone on here that’s thinking of buying off him not to do it he will blame Royal Mail and then say u order has been shipped and when u ask him to track it and see where it is he doesn’t reply.

I've never ordered from them but 9.5/10 on over 400 orders of this product indicates the vendor is telling the truth. Tracking numbers can contain information about where parcels were sent, so vendors don't usually share them and to be honest 10 days isn't really a long time to wait; I've had parcels UK to UK which have taken a month. Be patient, don't hassle the vendor and definitely don't write posts like this, it ruins the community.
If you pay for tracking then yes you should get the tracking number if the vendor pays then they hold the right to hold the tracking number that's the way it should be
'The right' according to who? You? I've used several marketplaces and - with a couple of exceptions - vendors don't share tracking numbers. Tracking numbers keep packages accountable in the RM system; if the parcel is taking a while ask the vendor politely for an update.

You’re pretty angry . Wait to have it resolved . They don’t want bad publicity and I’m sure they will sort it out for you . After that you can choose who you buy from in future . I have had a wrong order sent through another vendor and I’m waiting for it to be sorted . Sometimes it’s slow arriving ..

I have seen a vendor selling soapbar as pollen someone said they received smoke that smelt of hay and made him puke and the replacement he got wasnt even flushed i would love to know how this vendor is getting away with putting peoples health at risk PGR has also been mentioned with this vendor aswell

I find a dynavap works best for hash personally. I just wrap it up in some cotton/hemp wool and stick it in.
Il check that out and yes usualy full melt hash tho it is messy like u said,i tried using my dab rig but its to messy and thought about getting sum sort of hash vape but not sure
