Hey Biggas. A lot of us share the weed we love on this site so I thought it might be interesting to mix things up and see which strains don't do it for you.
I'll kick things off with Runtz. I like Zkittles and I like Gelato, but for some reason I have never really enjoyed Runtz. I think it's a combination of two good strains that somehow produced a worse one. Just my opinion of course, interested to hear what the rest of you think.

I was going so say mimosa, no matter how good it is, those orange terps remind me of burning rubber. Strange.
So glad Iโm not alone in hating mimosa terps. The first time I smelled/tasted it, I genuinely thought the weed was bogus. Like it had been artificially flavoured with something nasty. Then when I got good mimosa it was the exact same terps. Not for me like.
Iโd say Stardawg too, just because it was fuckin everywhere and was normally sub par.

I like Mimosa for the effect and I don't mind the taste. I am not keen on some of the other strains that taste similar like Tangerine Dream so I can see where you're coming from. Citrus strains can be hit and miss on the terps front.
I think Mimosa is the only strain taste wise that lives up to the hype. 90% of weed tastes to me exactly what it is- heated vegetation. All the โmouth watering โ descriptions completely pass me byโฆoccasionally I get pine bathroom cleaner but heyhoโฆ

I definitely taste different flavours. And Mimosa makes me sick ๐ Saying that I usually taste weed as it smells until Iโve smoked a couple spliffs. Then itโs hit or miss. Weird ๐ Thatโs the wonderful thing with Cannabis. The variety is astounding so everyone and their preferences are catered for ๐
Bang on, Iโm not into any tangey variants either. I accidentally bought some expensive import bud a few weeks ago that had tangey/mimosa heritage. The bud was clearly excellent in every department, probably well worth the money, but the terps ruined it for me. Just tasted artificial, almost like a nicotine vape or something. Different strokes and all that.
Hate the taste but iv yet to find a strain that is almost comparable to taking codine for feel good factor. Iโll smoke dry straw for that

Usually with hybrids I get the sativa effect then it chills into indica but white widow pummels me with both from the get go and leaves me meditating to the ganja gods with tai chi breathing to alleviate me from the poisonous kiss of White Widow.

Lemon Tree is the strain I most dislike. I use to love a good lemon skunk or lemon haze 20 years ago. Not the same anymore.
Super silver haze. Smelled like cats piss and had no body high. Muscles felt restless and uncomfortable.
All 'Haze' are sativa dominant aren't they, so yeah, you get the head high but no body chill. I know what you mean about muscles feeling that way - I get achey neck/shoulders and back and no body chill, and that's with various hybrids.
that's an easy answer ... any that don't get me high (normally not a strain blame, more a grower blame) ... so reckons the jackal ๐๐
Way back I got some free seeds with the seeds I ordered. NYC diesel they were, so I grew them and was so disappointed, it tasted awful. Haven't really gone for diesel since. Have smoked loads of diesel cross.
Everest is another, it's not that I dislike the taste/high etc, but I find if I'm on it for multiple days then it really brings my mood down.

Haha I fully agree with cookiedawg - one of the most vile tasting strains I've had lol, the terps just don't mix well together.

I've not tried the Tropicana strains, but I do agree about the Tangies as I don't get on with the taste of them either.
Tropicana strains when grown well are top tier however in my experience they seem to be hard strains to get right, Iโve probably tried 10-15 different versions of Tropicana cookie/cherry/banana and only 2 of them were really good (but I mean really good) a few of them were alright (nothing to write home about) and the rest were pretty awful with almost no terps and black ash.
I get a vibe from some strains, mainly Iโd describe more indica leaning and berry types.
Makes me introspective. Can get dark. But itโs also when you swim in the creative madness of semi-subconscious which when young, or in the wrong place can be no different than a mushroom experience.
Set and setting applies with *all* consumption I think ๐ค but I have a theory that plants also pick up on the vibe of their grower + there is also just a ๐ฉ grow, right?

anything purple for me, i have no idea why and its sad because it looks so pretty but it doesn't agree with me.

I had a prescription for pink kush and sour tangie. Sour tangie provides good effects but smells like sick. Same goes for Sour D too

Gorilla Glue is like Russian roulette with 5 Chambers loaded.
At it's best, it is hard to better. I have had some good tasting examples but they are becoming rarer.
The genetics are laden with problems so it is difficult to get the correct pheno from seed. But if you have the correct clone (as is the case with chemdawg) and it is grown and cured adequately, it is a very nice smoke imo.

It's completely possible I've not had the best versions but also maybe just a taste or body chemistry thing where for whatever reason those strains don't do it for me. I'm unlikely to test the theory any further by buying more when there's a myriad of sweeter options at LB that are more up my street. The world would of course be boring if we were all the same.

To be fair to the vendors on here I've not had any of the strains I've mentioned from anyone on LB. There's definitely more exciting strains to me available here so I'm unlikely to backtrack just to make sure I don't like it though.
My gorilla grow of 10 strains that was rumbled contained GG.

We got some fresh zkittlez in. I really dislike haze tho just smells of roach spray honestly . Idk how it got so famous
Never been a big fan of Papaya strains, always got a weird taste to them that doesnโt agree with me.
I don't get the haze hate though I love Silver Bubble / SSH / Arjans Strawberry Haze / Mango Haze / Blue Dream etc
My sense of taste and smell never recovered from COVID so it can be difficult getting the flavour and smell nuances between strains. I can taste and smell the extremes though, crap and amazing. My preference is definitely Indica leaning as I've got older. I don't want to be introspective, going over all my life's choices! A lot of hybrids are fine. Don't have time for hazes.

Dislike any orange strains personally. Also not a huge fan of gelato 41. Itโs too sweet and lingers on the lips in our opinion. If you enjoy the sweeter strains then probably your cup of tea

The problem with this was he's so stingy he would only put weed in the part he was smoking and then just be passing a roll up around to people. I spent the next few months lurking and reading and plucking up the courage to order. i then spent a while sorting out a source of crypto, then bottled it again for about a month. I finally went for it with an order from TGT with some hash. It arrived the next day. That was Nov 2020. I'm now on 100+ orders.
I've since got a mate signed up and soon my sister will be on LB.

Yeah since I wrote that post i've been much luckier and found some decent vendors, big shout out to; The Gentleman Dealers, Mad Dabber and Dr Greenthumb who all had decent service and stuff :D Also I tried Greencat and had a mixed experience, but now that you mention it The Spacemen were decent too ;)

A work colleague told me about it so I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised and have been using LB ever since.
I'd seen a website in the news supposed to be selling weed. I'd started looking through reviews, which were mixed, but ultimately it seemed like it was a scam. Certainly at best a roll of the dice. A popular online blog links to lb in the newsletter. After rifling through various pages here, I figured it looked legit and made an order. Nearly a year later and I'm never going back to a plug, ahaha.

You can tell them anything tbf. I had the same and when they asked me about payments I said that I don't really remember or even said that friend is buying alcohol etc for me and all was fine. It can be clothes, food whatever

Ok Iโll try and cut a long story short. Iโve been living in a semi detached house for about 6 years. Iโm a daily smoker, Iโm disabled and I have been using weed to manage my pain for about the past ten years. I have never had an issue with any neighbours complaining or anything like that. Recently my landlord sold my house and I was served an eviction notice and due to my disability the council agreed to house me and got me a flat in my local area. I have never lived in a flat before and Iโm quite worried about the neighbours complaining about me smoking weed. ( they are mostly elderly and disabled people) my local housing authority that has housed me has a zero tolerance policy about any drug use and I really donโt want any complaints against me. I have switched to vapes for the time being to reduce the smell. but I really prefer joints and it doesnโt feel the same to me. I usually smoke just pure flower joints. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? Am I just being paranoid? Any advice is welcome thank you biggas โค๏ธ

that being said it did provide documentation stating i was legally permitted to use cannabis.
I sent the details to tower hamlets housing, and actually just told my neighbours i had a prescription, and just never told them when i cancelled it.
If youโre proactive about it thereโs little they can do.
I still smoke a bong in the flat from time to time, but mostly use a dry herb vape with the window open and there are no issues with smell.

They will assess your need, these weed places have their own doctors so it will probs be a video call. If you get accepted, buy some weed off them so you get a bag with a prescription stuck to it... Then I guess you refil the bag with whatever you want. One place that springs to mind is curaleaf

Get a filter that sucks up all the air in the room and an outlet pipe which connects or hangs off your window so the air that gets sucked from the inside get pulls straight out the gaff!

Hi, apologies if this is an old post. I'm in a similar situation.
A few months back I bought a purifier listed on Amazon as 'PureMate Smart Air Purifier with Ioniser mode, Air Quality Monitor, Display Off, Air Filter', cost about ยฃ120 with extra filters being ยฃ25ish, I think. That made a big difference though it's already not as good as it was when I first had it - it maybe just needs a new filter (or the old one hoovering!) There are smaller, cheaper versions but I can't comment on how good they are. I got one after seeing a similar post from bigga BBDoom. You probably don't need one with the ioniser or UV light, etc, they don't seem to make much difference? It makes a big difference to have it running while smoking but it's definitely not as 'quiet' as advertised - it also helps (to a lesser extent) if you just run it for a couple of hours after you've gone to bed.
Another thing that might help is to get yourself a good oil diffuser and have a few drops of oil in it that'll help mask the smell - PurEssential makes an oil that helps with smoke odours, and there are similar room sprays that supposedly do the same thing. Lots of stuff online about different diffuser oils that can help to hide smoke smells, etc. In my experience, people notice how 'nice' the room smells rather than anything else ๐๐. We've come a long way from burning some stinky incense (often bad for your breathing) and thinking it does anything other than obviously highlighting that you're trying to cover up a weed smell! Ahhh, the ignorance of my teenage youth! ๐
I've also seen some good smell-proof bags recently (but can't remember what they're called), everything from pencil case to rucksack size - available from Amazon (though I'd caution about having weed-related items in your Amazon history). They'll help reduce the smell if you can be arsed to keep taking everything in and out of it.
Finally, regardless of how 'clear' you think your room smells, get a non-smoking friend in to give you their opinion! You just don't notice the smell as much in your own home if you're constantly around it.

That made a big difference though it's already not as good as it was when I first had it - it maybe just needs a new filter (or the old one hoovering!) There are smaller, cheaper versions but I can't comment on how good they are. I got one after seeing a similar post from bigga BBDoom. You probably don't need one with the ioniser or UV light, etc, they don't seem to make much difference? It makes a big difference to have it running while smoking but it's definitely not as 'quiet' as advertised - it also helps (to a lesser extent) if you just run it for a couple of hours after you've gone to bed.
Another thing that might help is to get yourself a good oil diffuser and have a few drops of oil in it that'll help mask the smell - PurEssential makes an oil that helps with smoke odours, and there are similar room sprays that supposedly do the same thing. Lots of stuff online about different diffuser oils that can help to hide smoke smells, etc. In my experience, people notice how 'nice' the room smells rather than anything else ๐๐. We've come a long way from burning some stinky incense (often bad for your breathing) and thinking it does anything other than obviously highlighting that you're trying to cover up a weed smell! Ahhh, the ignorance of my teenage youth! ๐
I've also seen some good smell-proof bags recently (but can't remember what they're called), everything from pencil case to rucksack size - available from Amazon (though I'd caution about having weed-related items in your Amazon history). They'll help reduce the smell if you can be arsed to keep taking everything in and out of it.
Finally, regardless of how 'clear' you think your room smells, get a non-smoking friend in to give you their opinion! You just don't notice the smell as much in your own home if you're constantly around it.

Diffusers whilst smoking will really mess up the air quality, you will have bud smell mixed with lovely oils which will really stench up a place. Your best bet is the filter which sucks the air with the duct connected to your window as the outlet(air output)โฆ Do this and thank me later!
Yep, I didn't mean smoking whilst the diffuser's running - I run the purifier whilst (or after) smoking, and run the diffuser when not smoking (overnight or in the morning). I'm interested in a filter ducting out the window but, when I see that, I always assume there's a grow happening, and I'd be worried that others would think the same.

A fan and filter setup would work best. You can sit it on a table and use it without ducting if need be, on a recycle mode if you will. Any smoke/air going through will get treated. Added bonus, all smoke/air will gravitate towards the filter, so none escapes out the door.

Look up carbon filters its just the same fan and filter you use in a grow,id suggest rhino carbon.filter there good and diff sizes,the smell sticks to the carbon and they do work mate

Not an expert on this subject but I would suggest getting a medical prescription, not for the access to flower etc but more just as some form of protection from draconian council policies. Looks quite bad on them evicting someone who has a legitimate medical reason to use
There are things you can try but nothing smells more than a joint unfortunately. You could try a sploofy, or get a fan and cover it with those scented dry cleaner sheets, or a combo. Better yet might be to consider using you favourite weed in some brownies. But I agree with nesto that if you have some kind of medical note/ prescription that might cover you. Otherwise pray for windy rainy nights where you can smoke it out of your window. I moved to vaping a while back, ULC and dr Terpy are good for distillate, and people who vape swear by live resin vapes, they cost a little more but the high on those is supposedly closer to a joint high, try sensi-mart for that perhaps, people love their live resin stuff. One day I will try this myself no doubt
In my experience, if you're smoking inside regularly somebody is bound to complain sooner or later. You'd be better off switching to dry herb vaping, what one did you buy? I could never get into it until I bought a high-end vape, took a week or so to get used to it but since then I haven't smoked in years. Far, far stealthier.
As others have said. Best solution is what growers do and suck the air through a carbon filter.

carbon filter and fan , you can get fans that are voltage controlled so it will be more quiet, i run a mini 6inch in my smoke room, was better with the larger one but next door is a weed farm so i can slack off
Plug in ozone generator left on timer near front door is a great last line of protection. Yes,I know they arenโt great for your health,but so is being homeless.

I bought an air purifyer and an activated carbon air filter, about ยฃ150 all in.
I can smoke a joint in my living room with both of these on and the smell is gone in half an hour and nobody outside knows any better

Moving it stressful as balls, so we completely understand where you are coming from. In my experience, so long as you aren't a neighbour from hell, most people probably won't care. I live in a shitty flat, and you are very much at the mercy of your immediate neighbours. You might find a single-dweller (who doesn't generally disturb the peace) gets a lot of leeway.
Besides, even if they did complain, the council likely has better things to worry about. I'm not saying the risk isn't there, but moreso that the gaps between 'neighbour disapproves', 'neighbour complains', and 'you get turfed out' are bigger than they seem.
The one thing that might tick them off is if you stink out the place. So, as already said here, odor absorbers/removers could give you some peace of mind.

So, smell reduction. Maybe block the bottom of the external flat door, and also the door of the room you smoke in to prevent random diffusion.
