I would just like to give a big shout out and reccommendation to Green Cat.
It was the second time I ordered from him last week and the first time was good too. But this time I ordered four strains, a 3.5g of each, and he gave me an extra gram of blue cheese, I think because the buds were small and maybe he was coming towards the end of the batch? I am very appreciative. I thought that was a lovely gesture. He also put in a gram of PK hash for me to try as well. It was a nice surprise.
All of the weed I have had from Green Cat has been great quality. I will deffo be coming back again.

Cleaning My Grinder: A Story With Questions
- The Dirty Grinder Problem -
My grinder is a few years old. It's a metal one that screws together in separate layers for grinding, ground, and kief. It has never been meaningfully cleaned. I've poked and chipped at it a bit when it got stuck. The kief catcher has been blocked for ages although I was never sure I wanted my kief caught in anything other than what I'm currently smoking in the first place. Its become more of a masher than a grinder as compacted dark resin coats much of its once sharp teeth.
- New Grinder Dreams -
I was thinking of buying a new grinder when I decided I should probably clean the current one up first to see how much that helped. One of the grinder teeth snapped off years ago and it actually really improves how the grinder works. That gap is where your bit of weed starts. If I made grinders I'd engineer a weed gap something like this in. If I bought a new grinder I'd be tempted to break a tooth off. I'm sure several people will tell me why I'm wrong about this but it's a hill I shall die on.
- I Need Alcohol -
So first thing I reached for was our good friend alcohol. That age old tale like it's the solution to all of life's problems - but it quickly became clear that poking a bit of alcohol around was inadequate for this.
Obviously more alcohol was needed. That age old tale...So the whole grinder went in for an iso bath. Cleaning it with a sacrificial toothbrush after a good soak brought it back to factory levels of cleanliness pretty quickly with all that compacted resin dissolved into the alcohol. But it had one flaw. It was now a super sticky solution. A film of glue-like stickiness had settled across every surface of the grinder. After you touched it, the same is true for you. We are back in sticky Spiderman fingers territory. More wiping with alcohol didn't seem to clean it so much as smear it onto more surfaces.
- Saving New York -
So before I started using my sticky fingers to climb buildings and save New York City from crime, I went for possibly not the best solution, but for the one within the easiest reach of my Spidey fingers. Cif cream cleaner.
- The Lemon Problem -
This dispersed the stickiness with ease using the same ex-toothbrush. I think it more thoroughly cleaned the grinder too. The problem now wasn't stickiness, it was lemonness. And not the nice lemonness one might have in their grinder. The bad lemonness that you don't want. It'd be like smoking a yellow block from a urinal if I put weed through it.
- The Wet Problem -
After some more rinsing and cleansing the problem was no longer lemonness. It was wetness. The kief mesh and the many nooks and crannies hide water away. This was a better problem to have but still a problem. After much careful patting and some hairdryering I decided some resting time was needed for full dryness.
- The Outcome -
A while later I tried it out and it's essentially like a new grinder. It twists super smoothly with ease, evenly grinding buds into useful little pieces and once more my kief is being caught.
- Kief or Thief -
Although I'm still questioning if saving kief is better than having it now. Is it robbing me under the guise of future reward? Like daylight savings when the clocks change back. We don't ever get an extra hour in bed. Merely what was once already ours has been returned. If someone stole a tenner out of your wallet in spring then gave it back to you in Autumn you would not thank them for it. So is it a kief catcher a kief thief? I'm intrigued to know people's thoughts on this one.
- New And Improved -
The grinder basically works like new but with the added toothless gap that seems to improve function for me anyway and feels like a design feature. It's my hill - my hill folks.
- Fresh and Clean -
It may not be completely radical news to many people out there but cleaning stuff makes it better. My grinds are now fresher than a brand new pair of underpants.

I didn't think that would work as water never washes resin off your hands. Part of why I'd put it off for so long. Might try that first next time.
I keep it simple a cheap plastic grinder that comes out of the dishwasher completely pristine.
Reading this brought back memories using these hand grinders. My 2 cents is they are a great budget/starter solution but if you're a hardcore daily smoker like me take my advise and get a cheap ninja, nutribullet or kenwood blender for like 30 quid that comes with a smaller jug for nuts etc. Then take your daily buds (3-7g?) grind them for a second or 2 and you have your weed ground for the day just need to roll them. Do this and the walls of the jug will staticly attract and build up kief and every month or 2 you will harvest an oz or more kief that you can turn into hash or press the rosin from it.
The missing "stashed" kief is not noticeable in your joints as I'm sure you could tell by experience using a kief catcher grinder where you will lose plenty of it stuck to the teeth and the walls of it anyways.
So having an oz or so kief as a reward or cashback every month or so is 100% worth it when you light a fat one up boosted with your own hash or rosin!

I tend to flick between different flavours all day so only grind one or two spliffs worth at a time. The last grinder I bought was actually downsized from previous so is the mini type I guess. I'm not at your level mate where you need industrial electrical hardware for your bud volumes!
I wouldn't call a kitchen blender industrial level hardware but even when I grind 1g I use that it just more convenient, same goes for having pre ground weed the kief is just a bonus really that builds up over time.
That's what I mean, I been there. I know what's it like to grind as you go. Done that for nearly 2 decades and I felt stupid when I started using the blender for not doing it sooner. Just saves me hand grinding everytime I want to roll a joint and having ground weed in a tupperware for a couple days is perfectly fine for me, I often had 3-4 flavours pre ground but these days I only have 1 or sometimes 2 strains pre ground for the day.
I can still remember my mate turning up with the first grinder I'd seen years ago. Thought it was stupid and unnecessary at first glance. About 3 minutes later after seeing it used, "can I borrow your grinder mate" I still like a grind and sniff as part of my rolling ritual. Might be an interesting topic to discuss rolling rituals - yours has clearly evolved. One of my mates always rolls 3 at once for example, lights one and pockets the other two for later.
Yeah I also do that often, having a few pre rolled if I'm out for a while or just a couple in advance ready to go while busy. Call it lazy or convenient I guess to me it just became to repetative grinding each joint one at a time.
I never think that far ahead. I'm wondering now if I rolled a batch up if it'd be convenient and save time or I'd just blitz through weed much quicker by chaining my rolls.
Just having them pre ground already saves me a lot of time.

Great read, as usual mate. Iso should work if you cover it and leave it for ages. Mine looked like swamp water when I last tried this. Felt like I was wasting all the goodness though, so my mate suggested boiling it in milk next time. Yeah, don't do that. What a mess, and I threw the pan away. That's probably more a me issue and not paying attention. The grinder, however was fine, eventually.
I've had (and am having) very solid service from a Herb Ripper grinder, which is available in both kief stealing and non varieties. I went with the stealing version and it blocked up. It always blocks up.

I've decided when I do finally get another grinder it'll be a no kief thief. It's not just a choice but a lifestyle. Life on the edge man. No kief reserves. That's like a pension scheme for trichomes. All or nothing grinding is the way forward.
I go for the cheap plastic grinders buy 4 for £5 off amazon and just bin them when they are too gunked up😬.

I used to get The Original Grinder Company ones out the local shop. Were a few quid but nice to know the convenience store understands its customer base by getting in quality plastic grinders. They sell blunt papers too. I don't know what they are but have seen the crazy kids buying them. Since then though I've aimed to use as little plastic as possible. I figured a metal grinder would last a long time and it's fully recyclable once I'm done. It has lasted ages and now clean is really like new. I'll buy another one but will choose more carefully next time now I know the level of time commitment I'm making.

I broke a tooth off my old small palm sized grinder, it worked better like you said until eventually physics took over and snapped all the rest of the teeth one by one due to the uneven pressure load. Bought a new proper sized one and it's actually engineered pretty well, not too mention made very well.
When cleaning, I use iso too. Give it a soak for a few hours in 80-100% iso, and have a go at it with a tooth brush. When finished, give it another rinse off with fresh iso, the sticky film will rinse off just as easy. Let it air dry and you're good to go!
That small grinder lasted a good 6 years.. and it was only a fiver! 😂

I swear man that there's a product design computer out there could engineer in the toothless gap feature and improve this base object we all use with that useful buffer within the grinding space. I should crowdfund a new startup Gappy Grinder Ltd on LB and make it happen. I've not broken another tooth yet but there's one that's not exactly happy. It's a work in progress I guess.

I take out literally every little bit of stem, so my buds are never really big enough I need a gap. I basically end up finger grinding half of it.
I linked the grinder I bought, very similar design to a santa cruz shredder. The teeth are engineered to push the bud a certain way between the teeth, its a completely different grind to your standard diamond teeth grinder. Definitely worth a try. Even has a little plastic ring built into the lid to stop paint chippings and screeching

I've looked at the Santa cruz shredder grinders. I might indulge. Considering how many years this one's lasted and how often I use it, it's not a bad investment. Could see me through the rest of my days. I don't think I'll go for a kief thief next time. I want all the goodness now.

Thanks man. Top tip and it's answered one of my questions. My current grinder is only anodised on external bits so I'd wondered about that over time. Santa Cruz is off the list.

To the matter at hand though, you've channeled one of my secret penchants - that for cleaning. I believe a clean is the cheapest repair. And for anything involving organic compounds such as food and the good bud, I have to say, anything inorganic is just, well, grinding me up the wrong way, much like a bad bud broaching device, brother.
So, can I suggest following an organic cleansing ritual for your toothless wonder: firstly, splash liberally or dunk shallowly in some (white) vinegar and then sprinkle with some bicarb (not baking soda) and watch the fizzy, oooh. This should cut through some of the resin, but maybe not all cos it is a sticky goo. Maybe have another go, cos yeah, bicarb fizzy cool. Not once, not twice, but trichome's the charm.
Then, you do need some natural acid to cut a little further: slishe a lemon in two, and press and grind. I wonder if this could also inadvertently be the start of some wonderful concentrated edible tincture, the lemon juice and the goo, I don't know. I'll let someone else try, but maybe you could start with this method and follow up with the vinegre, if you're so inclined.
But then, finally, as some other good fellow suggested, boil it: just water and again, squeezed lemon or that white vinegar. All natural, all clean, because you're worth it, my bro.

Thanks man. Green cat was the first vendor I ordered from too. I then tried loads of different vendors before returning again. I'll get a few bits and bobs elsewhere but the price and quality at GC is solid.

I gave up on my trusty plastic grinder when i heard about all the microplastic stuff

I was thinking I'd get a very technical description back but this sounds simple enough for me to do. I'll have a look at mine later.
I guess targeted grinder vandalism over a kief storage indecision is, on a world scale, a nice problem to have.
This makes me think about the time I went to Amsterdam for a quick trip, and purchased a fairly cheap, if not reasonable plastic grinder for my time there.
One thing I must say though, that grinder, of course being new was just a joy to use. It weren't like those plastic grinders you get here from the poundshop which starts making screeching noises after a couple spins 😂

yo buy some 99.99% isopropyl (pure alcohol) from amazon, soak your grinder in a tiny amount for 2 mins and it will be as good as new. im still on my very first grinder I bought in 2001
Brilliant read that....and I thought it was just me with the kief dilemma. I have a metal Cheech and Chong grinder...never seen a good cleaning apart from emtying the kief catcher...i have several little pots of kief laying around, I'd rather that had been in my blunt ... so definitely thief. Yes I could still smoke it.. or try and make some hash but I dont need this dilemma

I doubt I'll go electric but my next grinder will have no kief thief. I like the look of the Santa Cruz 3 piece shredder. Pretty spendy but it'll last a long time I guess.
Yep, not going down that route again. Not seen the Santa Cruz one. I will take a peek ...if it lasts as long as my C&C one I'd be very happy.
Another commenter said the anodising chips off over time. My grinder is only coloured on the outside so doesn't suffer from that. I'll keep looking I think. Flag up any good ones you find mate.
No paint on the inside either. I did see quite a nice 3 piece one today per chance...can't for the life of me remember the name but it was $79 ...metal and not painted. I'll see if I can find it again mate
It's a lot of money but for something that's used several times a day and will last years it's probably worth paying a bit out for.

Highly Recommended Vendor
I've had so many people recommend the weed and service of Druids Magic that it is unreal. It's like the vendors really are druids and actually cast a magic spell on their buds prior to posting them which hypnotises people into commenting 'Druids Magic' everywhere that bud or vendor recommendations are discussed. It's also possible I don't know a huge amount about druids, magic or hypnosis. Either way It felt important to me that I investigate this hot topic and test it out for myself because while I may not know much about druidism, what I do know a fair bit about is smoking weed.
Will I come out of the experience zombiefied and only able to slowly mutter the words "Druids Magic" as an answer to every question? Let's find out.
Who Are Druids Magic?
As far as I know DM are a home grower and small vendor on LB. They have limited stock and limited options as they sell off their own grows. As such, any time I'd looked at their menu they appeared to be sold out or to be in between grows.
I Swiped Right:
This time I dropped them a message and true to reputation they were super keen to help me out with a couple of strains they had via a custom order. This is the way forward here.
The communication level was off the charts even before I ordered. After I pressed go, every state of the order was documented to me via message. There are surgeons who operate in less detail than this.
That's all very reassuring but I'm now at the waiting stage which is the worst bit of LB. Where's my weed?
Waiting:
"He waits. That's what he does. And I'll tell you what. Tick followed tock followed tick followed tock followed tick...... "
But what didn't follow was my weed. Not yet.
I'd hoped for RM efficiency but I also hope for world peace. I'm basically a dreamer. There is always tomorrow.
Day 1:
It's so far only been one working day so please don't read my impatience as a delay. I'm excitable and just really want to try this stuff out. I believe if there is one single thing that everyone on LB can relate to it's waiting for a weed delivery.
The postal folks do not understand the significance of what is happening here or the utter importance they are tasked with. Oh - hang on - that's actually the aim isn't it!
The Red Van:
Postman Pot has been. Dreams have been delivered. I ordered on Saturday and my parcel was delivered on Tuesday. That's a good service. Let's see what it is all about.
Stealth:
Stealth is thoughtful enough without me deep diving the details. It ticks my boxes and the buds arrived in good condition without leaving a bisto trail of stench in their wake.
Big Bags:
I ordered 7g and Druids sent me about 9g in total across two strains. One half is the Candy Kush and the other is the Coco Jambo. I've no idea if this extra weight is typical but it is of course appreciated.
Tis a Stinker:
First impressions upon opening the bag of cosmic - bloody hell that's a smell from somewhere deep in my memories. I had to take several sniffs. It's a pungent sweet old skunky aroma that instantly makes me think of my early 1990s trips to Amsterdam. This was back in the days where Dam weed was so far superior to UK stuff that it may as well have been a different drug. That's the smell here - of something long lost but welcome to return. It reminds me a bit of the original old bubblegum in Dam too.
The Grow:
I don't know enough about grows to adequately understand the production here but basically this stuff isn't the commercially produced furry pebbles. These are large natural looking buds that are looser than is typical from a modern commercial grow.
The buds are a little sticky and will benefit from being in a jar to even out. That might just be from travel as some buds don't seem to love being sealed up in the postal process. It's perhaps part of the reason for the tendancy to produce furry pebbles commercially as they do travel well.
The cosmic grinds fine though and it's not like you've just poured glue into your grinder. The bud is not wet but it just wants some love and care to hit perfection. I hope I'm explaining this correctly. Much delightful smell was released in the grinding process.
Cosmic Kush Family:
Cosmic Kush is a mix of Trainwreck (constructed of some very old genetics) and Kush which is still of course a mainstay of many vendors menus.
Smoking it I feel I'm getting more of the Trainwreck than the Kush and it's that end of the scale my nose instantly seemed to recognise when opening the bag too.
Although arguably much of the power probably has come from the kush I've no idea how to quantify that. Not least as I'm blazing a smoke while writing this.
It's a lovely smoke though, that much I can verify for sure. Smooth, clean, with a floral sweetness. It has an initial hit and a follow up stone with some smells and tastes that are deep rooted into my own cannabis history being enjoyed by my senses in the process.
You People Make Me Do This:
I suppose I'm going to have to test the Coco now too. You LB folk have twisted my arm. Basically forced me into it. I've already had a few of the Cosmic and I'm nicely stoned. Very clean buzz and a lovely smoke. But there's no point only having half an adventure. Let's see if the Coco stands up.
Coco Jambo:
The smell of the Coco Jambo is familiar too. It's cherry-like and teasing my favoured orange smell. It's all in there but it's more complexly mulled together. The smell is less prominent than the Cosmic but still definitely familiar. I had to Google the strain and it looks like it's Tropical Burst x Coconut Milk. So I guess I'm picking up on the tropical genetics which has orange cookies in its lineage. The coconut milk side feels like it contributes less but is probably subtly balancing the flavour which is why I felt it was mulled.
Pepsi Challenge:
Of the two weeds, going by the name, then going by the smell, I'd have bet on the Cosmic Kush being my favoured strain. I'm not sure that's true at all though smoking them.
While the Cosmic is the more lairy and definitely has some wonderful old flavours in there, the Coco Jumbo seems more refined. It seems to give me more of a head high but not in a hazy paranoid ansy horrible way and it eases into a nice stone. It is another really nice smoke. I think I'll have another one of these and ramble my way to the end of this topic.
So What's The Verdict on Druids Magic:
Yes folks. I get it. Thanks for the recommendation. The whole experience has been lovely. The smokes I've had this evening have been very much enjoyed and definitely different from a typical commercial grow from a high volume seller. This weed feels very well cared for and thoughtfully produced. It's powerful in both strength and flavour.
I guess comparing the service of Druids Magic to a high volume vendor is like putting your local Aunties cafe in a cage fight against a branch of Subway. Yes, Auntie knows your name and does a fine cheese and pickle sarnie and Victoria sponge cake but often you crave the mindboggling choices and size of a Subway footlong followed by more cookies than any human should consume in one session.
Would I Recommend Druids Magic?
The simple answer is yes I would. Drop them a message, try out some strains, the entire experience will be lovely from the first message to the first smoke - if your experience is anything like mine.
You'll end up with some lovely stinky weed that gets you completely stoned. If that's not an ideal transaction on LB I don't know what is.
Have The Druids Cast a Spell On Me?
I have had nothing but a lovely experience with the druids and their weed is a lovely natural product made with care. But....
I'm sure we all know my love for Green Cat remains borderline creepy. I really like caressing my way through the many strains on their menu and making the hard choices and doing research is part of the experience I enjoy. While I do return to old favourites I tend to explore new flavours every week.
I'll Be Back Though:
I will however be visiting Druids Magic as they get their new grows done and seeing what's what. This is especially true if they put an orange strain up. Now that could be a very interesting proposition from this grower. Something like the Orangina or a Tangie. So I've been glad of the introduction and thanks to the really impressively large number of people who recommended the Druids to me. I can see why you are super fans.

Thanks man. I hope so. I think there's a niche orange fandom that'd lap it up. I guess it depends what the druids like smoking themselves and I've also no idea how hard it is to grow.
Love this kind of review BigRoo, really well thought out, and the Coco Jambo sounds amazing. I had the pleasure of some Smashberry Fumez, you can absolutely tell theres love and attention to their grows.
Both are lovely but the Coco is a little more balanced for me. I'll definitely be back to check on their grows to see what's cooking. I completely agree - can see a lot of love went into their crop.

Exactly that! One good priced bit, one fancy bit. Fancy bit was missing. The good priced bit was top notch though. I'm also far from dry so I've not got my knickers in a twist or anything and vendor is sorting it so can't say fairer than that I guess. But still..I wanted my fancy bit.

Postie came through yesterday....yay! It was worth the weight. As soon as you open the pack you're hit by some old school sweet Skunky smells.. I swear I got a hint of cheese! These are definitely some nice light airy buds...looks way more than a garden gate here. I agree that the trainwreck side is the most dominant....but the kush side comes through when you're nice and mellow imo. An excellent day time smoke...i cant leave it alone...All in all I'm glad I followed your recommendation....can't wait to see what April brings!
Glad it landed mate. Cheese is a skunk #1 that went rogue (if legend is true) so it does dip right back into those original old strains everything was created from. The smell of weed history! Enjoy.

Yeah man both are lovely natural smokes. I look forward to seeing what they grow next. I like the range of bargains and keenly priced nice bits at GC. Lots are imported although often the UK stuff is great. It's pretty rare to get a bit that doesn't feel good value for the price - and I do like a bargain.

Blue Cheese Yes Please
I've Had a Lot of Blue Cheese:
In the past I've had a lot of blue cheese. I really mean a lot. For a period - probably years - it was about all you could get locally and, generally speaking, the weed strains that have saturated the local market I have grown completely averse to.
I honestly don't care if I ever see another bit of lemon haze or stardawg ever again. I had those so often I began to question whether I even liked smoking weed. I once felt a little like that about the blue cheese. My shoulders would sag and I'd sigh after knocking round at mateys flat only to be informed the menu consisted of blue cheese, blue cheese or a cheese that was blue.
However it seems I've gotten over it because as soon as I saw that Green Cat had some I was straight onto it. Nostalgia is a mixed up thing there's no mistake about it. Maybe there's hope for the lemon yet.
The Smell of The Past:
As I opened the bag the smell of the past wafted over me like time travel aromatherapy. I bought a few bits from GC as usual but I was super excited to jump straight onto the blue cheese. The buds are huge and the price is a bargain $55 a quarter. It's probably a bit drier than bud perfectionists might demand but the buds still squidge and aren't crispy or dusty.
Blue Favourites:
The blue flavour is dominant in a number of my favourite strains - I don't exclusively like orange despite the rumours. Things like the Skywalker OG are repeatedly irresistible to me. One of the first blue strains I could get on repeat though was the blue cheese so I suppose that my love of the blue taste comes more from the blue cheese than from the blueberry or any other blue strain.
The Original Blueberry:
I've had original blueberry several times. Only twice was it actually nice. Although to be fair those two bits were the holy grail of flavour at the time. I assume it's hard to grow well. It'd be interesting to see someone do a modern grow as I've not seen it for years and I'd be curious how the original strain stacked up when grown to perfection. The blue cheese was clearly a much more reliable strain hence - I assume - its booming popularity over a long period of time.
Cheese Was Cool Once Dude
The original cheese was also a breakthrough of its time and quickly was what everyone was asking for. Interestingly I'm not so bothered about getting cheese again. Perhaps I should.

Mmmmmm.... Blue cheese... It's a blend of two flavours. Obviously there's the deep blueberry flavour that's banked as a solid base for a number of tasty strains. But it's interlaced with an old pungent thick and original sickly sweet skunky taste. If you liked it back in the day I expect you'll like this little trip down memory lane. This is a decent level blue cheese.
The stone is solid with both an immediate hit and a little follow up. Despite being a weed of the past it sits pretty nicely in my stash and I'm happy I bought it to dip into. I'm going to have another blast from the past right now. I suspect the novelty will wear off and I'll probably stash a bit away for the future but right now I'm loving the blue cheese.

I had some of the exodus blue and squidgy black from TGT in my xmas stash this year. Can’t beat the nostalgia! ❤️
I loved the pk black. There's a topic about it on my page here. I've still got a bit left and keep rolling the odd one here and there. The silver bubble is (or was) a lovely bit. Not as musky as some but with a northern lights twang so a real old school bit. I've not had the exodus. Might have a dabble next time. There's nothing like memory lane weed. I love the new stuff of course but dipping into the past on LB is awesome.
I love a drop of northern lights , going down memory lane . That takes me straight back to amsterdam 96 ish . Absolutely lawless the place , but best times . Not a fan of the cheese strain , unless i got plenty of neurofen on me . Too head strong the cheese 😂👍👍 roll me a northern lights any day
I think the original cheese was just a rogue skunk #1 plant so is the same genes essentially. It was cloned and spread from there. So it's probably got it's flighty buzz from that. There's a lot of modern strains with much better balanced high for sure. I'm pretty haze averse for similar reasons. I loved the original old orange bud in Dam. Was never top of the menu but the locals smoked it.
Am a fan of the Original Cheese (been hunting without any luck) not the Blue Cheese kinda makes me a little Nauseated the taste.

Does the Exodus Cheese not match the old cheese that everyone had back in the day? I remember once jumping on the train to score and getting my first bit of cheese. On the way back I became rather aware I had stunk out the entire train carriage. It was the stinkiest stuff I'd had at the time. I only had a quarter or something.
Exodus isn't even close, has the smell but tastes horrible to me, reminds me of burnt matches. I've not found anything close to that original "baby sick" funk. Tried GC, C&C weed factory and a few others.
Back when I was a youth real cheese was literally the only thing available for a year then it was gone never to seen again.

Burnt matches is definitely not what you want. I remember the cheese phase well though. Hope you find it one day. I know I've been super excited when finding old flavours from the past.

If you like a blue cheese, and I assume as you ordered it that you do, I reckon you'll like this. It might not be the best blue cheese I've ever had but that'd be a high bar to hit considering I've had something like eighteen thousand, six hundred and thirty seven different varieties of it previously. For the price I'd say it's bang on and you'll be a happy toker.

Yeah man I've been loving it. I've started on the BC today already. My big bud did even out a bit in a jar overnight so it may have been an unhappy traveller. It's great stuff though. Taste of nostalgia and a solid stone at pretty much the same price I paid all those years ago.

I'm always looking out for old school strains/ flavours and this definitely didn't disappoint. Also that Static shock of dapperdanks is well worth a punt. Can taste the white widow mostly and pretty strong...not quite as hard hitting as this BC but nice. Arrived next day ,good stealth and coms too

I'm always wary of new vendors as I've had a faff in the past with a couple. I was tempted by the static shock though as I've not seen any white widow in years. Glad to hear dapper had a good service.
I hear you on that but the temptation was to much and luckily all worked out well. Riley packs used to have a bit of white widow when I first started using lb a couple of years ago but not seen any since

Some Interesting Newbie Vendor Products
Okay. Before we start it's probably worth noting that I rarely order from new vendors and I've not tested any of these out. I have dabbled with new vendors in the past with mixed success rates. Some were great, some definitely weren't and many of them now don't exist on LB. Generally I order from the same reliable vendors unless I'm specifically looking for something special or something exclusive happens to catch my eye.
I guess it's also worth noting that even some usually reliable and long established vendors have either hiccups or just fall to pieces over time. So age isn't always a complete guarantee of success and happiness either.
Newbie vendors often make their mark by offering us some interesting products and wonderful bargains to tempt us away from our mainstay vendors. Some of these newbies will of course be the big vendors of the future while some will possibly not get the hang of LB.
So please remember we're all grown-up here (hard as it is to believe) and make your own choices. I admire the people who routinely roll the dice on a new vendor. Your payment is protected via escrow of course but, for me, you have to kiss too many frogs to find the prince. If you do like kissing frogs though here's some stuff that might be princely.

Only a month or so in and already flying. I have noted a few interesting bits passing through here and they seem very engaged with the community.
Amongst the loveliness would be this new batch of Blue Nerds. This strain is beautiful when done correctly. A mixed blue / silver flavour that's just divine. And this looks likely to be done to perfection. I've not tried it though. It's a pricey bit but will it be princely - see what you think.

They also have an RS 11 that looks spot on in the photos. This is one of my favourite strains as well. It's got a wild mix of sweet flavours when done right.

There are some interesting products on the menu but the one that's super tempting to me personally is the White Widow x Skunk #1. I definitely wonder what old school flavours may lurk in there. Very tempting to find out I must admit. These are two very familiar strains to me from the early Dam days. I can almost smell the coffee shops just from thinking about ordering it.

It's a sort of fancy packaged American version of the familiar Moroccan hash we all know. This has my curiosity as to whether it'll be better or just the same and the price seems very fair to try. While I mostly smoke buds I do like to try various hash out. They have a few nice looking products on the menu.

Thanks man. Yeah even after a year on LB I'm still basically like a kid in a sweet shop. Too many choices! I always make my own cookies using D9 or RSO or often a mix of both. It works out super cheap to do with a premix cookie pack out of Tesco. I usually make just one or two at a time.

I've also already got a few bits n bobs to keep me ticking over - including two types of mimosa. So I'm also finding it hard to justify diving into any of the options I've listed above. The static shock - I expect will be a pretty rare find.

Bugger I didn't see that about! I did have something called Ice Age last year...that was some real old school flavors.. should be some more coming soon ...from Oro Verde...he grows it himself and let's have a good 3 month curing. Keep your eye out for that mate, it's worth it
I delayed ordering, by the time I decided I would, everyone had snapped it all up. I think it was the spacemen had it but maybe wrong. I've not ordered from Oro but have noted them for future reference.
Zaza is great first order with him was a 3.5 of the l.a mouse great hash just crumbles nice clean taste off it too, 1 day it took to come. Domutwo also mentions cmdmak which I had the opportunity to try his lovely smoke which is still the cheapest oz I’ve had he was great the smoke was great I’m excited to see what’s next from him ❤️❤️
Seconded on Zaza, got 7gs of the Cherry Ripple last week. Lovely tight little nuggets fruity with a good hit, i'll definitely be back on this
I wrote a topic on new vendors a while back as zaza and others had caught my attention. I've not ordered there but glad to hear people are getting a good service. It's reassuring if I do dive into their menu.
Oh - it's this topic. I hadn't realised this had cycled round as I have another more recent vendor topic.
I was really tempted by the L.A. Mousse they had. If it hadn't of sold out by my pay day I'd probably have ordered a bit to try. It was the tropical version I think from memory. I hope they get more.
I had some of the LA tropicana hash, it was nice although quite similar to the pilon/blonde that LV has listed cheaper. I also tried the LA jealousy hash from TGT which was a lot nicer.
I'd heard mixed reviews about it but I'm always curious about new hash. Maybe I should buy a good la mousse and and an L.A. Mousse and have a mousse-off between them. You think the L.A. is worth it?

What Does a Top Vendor on LB Do Differently?
I started to wonder what are the best qualities for a vendor to have. We all have our favourite vendors who we rely on and use on repeat. But what put them there into that top spot holding the gold medal? There's over a hundred vendors and over a thousand products at the time of writing this. What separates them?
I would likely drill it down to these main pillars of great vending from my own experiences. This is what I like vendors to exceed at.
- Great products
- Reasonable prices
- Good communication
- Fast delivery
- Thoughtful stealth
- Reliable service
I'll pick through these one at a time below.
- Great products -
All of these probably speak for themselves. But primarily we want to smoke, vape and eat great quality cannabis products. We don't want to be rolling up ditch weed in a bus ticket. I personally like vendors with relentless quality controls; Where the vendor name feels like a stamp of approval. So whatever I order there is very likely to be of good quality. This is number one on the list for a reason.
- Reasonable prices -
No one likes being rinsed for their coins. One of the key appeals of LB is the great value compared to buying from a local. While I'm sure we all appreciate that a bag of imported jungle boys is more costly than a bag of shake, feeling we are paying a fair price is definitely the winner.
- Good communication -
This is not as relevant when everything has gone perfectly. But eventually, if you order enough, something goes awry so good communication is a must for me.
I'm not looking for a new best mate but knowing we're in some way together in this until the deal is complete reassures me that you'll deliver. I have stopped using a couple of vendors who are unable to tick this box. I understand that vendors can't reply in 5 mins and that their shop is a business so they deserve their work-life balance as much as anyone. But timely replies to valid questions or issues are a must for me.
- Fast delivery -
"I've ordered some lovely looking bits - get them to me right now!" We're all excited when we order but need to apply an appropriate amount of patience and face the reality of logistics. I've had orders delivered inside of one day but generally you can't rely on that level of service particularly as RM is a piece of the puzzle.
However, what I do like to see is vendors routinely hitting the service level they state on their profile and getting orders sent out in decent time, particularly when you fluster your way through moving coins to hit their stated cut off points. I appreciate that I won't be rolling up five minutes after my payment clears but the faster and more reliable a vendors process is, the more likely they'll get repeat orders from me. The main vendors I order from have their order process completely dialled in. I also prefer tracked to signed deliveries as that requires less commitment on my part.
- Thoughtful stealth -
Here's an area where even some of the big vendors could do with improvement. I'm not going to detail anyone's stealth for the obvious reason. I guess ultimately it needs to hit a few key points. Professional / No smell / No touching / What if someone else opens it. The vendors concerned about all these are the ones I trust the most.
- Good service level / rating -
This really follows on from good communication. If a problem has occurred I don't just want a nice chat about it, I want a simple solution. There are vendors I've had problems with that both communicated well and solved the problem that I'd still happily use and recommend. Vendors ticking all these boxes should naturally attain a high rating.
- Community interaction -
It's good to see vendors interact with the LB community. I'm glad they're involved. Often they can shine a light on things us punters know little about and knowing they are here is reassuring for many of the reasons I've mentioned such as service and communication.
However this isn't as essential as the other elements to get me to order weed. If a vendor runs multiple channels and is super busy just by nature of being a great vendor then I'm cool with that. After all it's that volume of sales that give us the great pricing. Some of the core vendors I use don't interact huge amounts with the LB community and I'm fine with that so long as they tick my other boxes. Being quietly fast and reliable while not wanting to draw attention or whip up controversy are all positive traits considering the nature of the purchase we're all trying to make anyway.

The weed range and price is exactly what I'm after (with the exception of orange flavours) with some top bits and a bunch of bargains. Service is fast. If I have questions they're answered. I've not had a big problem to sort but I'm sure that GC would be all over it if I did. The GC logo is a quality stamp. Trust in the cartoon cat.
I've just ordered some more blue nerds there which is one of my favourite strains. Marked as sent already.

A quietly reliable vendor. I order most of my RSO, D9 and extracts here. I trust the Dr and they've proved reliable. I'm a fan of the crumble waxes too. Very good value and a superbly smooth and flavourful smoke in my dab pen. I've also had orders from here inside of 24 hours.
I quite fancy trying a cart from here when I next need one. Probably a live resin version.

They held me a bit until payday for my birthday treat. They kept their word and so did I. There's very few online shops outside of this world that would do this usually I imagine. It was a great, if bloody expensive, transaction.
They also have really fancy special glass pots. Very posh and carefully selected. One of the best pots I've had on LB. Probably the second best pots in fact :-) What isn't second best though is the range of fancy hash products. Lots have a price tag that will make your eyes water long before any of the smoke hits them but they've got some real posh stuff going on that's worth exploring for a special treat or if you smoke like a gangsta.
The Good Stuff proved themselves a committed vendor to me as well recently.

They went the extra bit to rectify a small mistake that's not worth detailing as I wouldn't want this to be taken as a negative. Unless you've never made a single mistake then please never judge a vendor on their single mistake - judge them on what they do next. Their response showed they truly cared about their service level and reputation. They subsequently did precisely what they said they would to fix it. Top notch stuff. And while we'd all rather have no mistakes ever, knowing the vendor has your back is a powerful indicator of service and engagement with customers. I'll order there again. Not least as they've got a fantastic range of really nice hash at great prices including some very fancy looking static. The bargain mimosa I had previously was lovely and orangey.
Great Vendors:
Going the extra mile to satisfy customers requests or taking the time to fix orders shows a service level that barely exists outside of a platform like this. It elevates us and strengthens us as a community and makes me proud of my little part here in buying and smoking as much weed as I can to help everyone out.

Druidsmagic, ive not experienced anyone better so far. From bud to comms they are top notch. Its smaller scale own grown they really know what theyre doing.

I wish there was a notification system on LB so I'd get notified when Druids (and a handful of other smaller operators) had bits in. They've been recommended a lot and the buds look lovely on the photos people post up.
We do around £20-35k a month in sales, so we must be doing something right here :)
It must be something to do with having decent product and replying to messages quickly. Also getting all parcels shipped out quickly.

I've only heard good things about your products and service so must be doing something right for sure! Sounds like you do a fair volume of sales.
the vendors I keep going back to are the ones that don't fuck up. Spaceman, Eagle Bakery and Eddie are the only three on that list for me
Everyone makes mistakes from time to time. I definitely do. If one of those three vendors slipped up would you not forgive them if they communicated well and fixed the problem? Or would that be them done?
let me put it another way, I don't go back to vendors that fuck up and then piss about with shitty excuses and take ages to resolve an issue. everyone makes mistakes, it's how you handle them that makes the man

Again I've learnt patience over the years. When I order I work on the basis it's gonna take the full 3 days... I usually go for the 1-3 day tracked no signature...if turns up on day 1 , happy days. If it's not turned up by day 4 then I start to panic

Cannabis cannibals are top people. Love those guys. I don't order nearly enough to show my support but they've jumped in and helped with a number of my projects and are really here and involved with the community. I've mentioned them on my linked post and many times previously. For my main post here I didn't want to have to ramble through a full rundown of every vendor I used and just focused on my most recent examples.

Thanks man. I went in a big circle on vendors and ended up back ordering at GC as they tick all my boxes for weed. I had no idea this post would go quite as far as it did. Some newer vendors have looked at it as a guide which I never expected.

I know there's a fair few vendors that have aligned values to this. A lot of them I don't order from simply as it's signed delivery and I lack the commitment to be home. So while they don't match my exact needs I know they do a great service generally. GAW I've ordered from a few times. They get a good commercial hash in as well as some orangy strains.
They are still dealers but are more accountable due to the LB platform. I might do a topic about that in the future. I think it's always worth remembering they're not set up like Amazon and are having to take numerous cautious steps for both ours and their benefit to send us our parcels.

Yeah very true, far from Amazon. But it does have an early days of eBay vibe thanks to being ran well, the good many good vendors and having a positive, active community. Maryjane finally coming out of the shadows after decades of political stupidity 🙏
I remember eBay essentially solving the same issue of remote trust in their early platform too. LB does a great job in the same ways by adding accountability. Simple but brilliant really. The fact they've also managed to build up a community is something eBay never quite managed in the same way. The UK I expect will choose to remain politically dumb on this subject for some time though despite progress in much of Europe and the US.

Main thing for me is Comms & Stealth. (After Quality of course) 3 Years on here now & tried a lot of the bigger sellers & several smaller ones.
The two I have settled on are RealD and Green Cat both of whom have always delivered quality, reliability & great service.

Fair comment on both RD and GC. Both are vendors whose name is like a quality stamp of approval. I use Green Cat all the time as the service is spot on. I only usually stray away if I'm looking for orange buds or certain random things.
I am new to LB, I have 13 buys, all have gone well, and I have received 2 great subs. The one thing I would suggest, is that sellers clearly mark their packs with the strain. The reason I say this, is due to the subs being an unknown strain, and I don't know what to reorder in future. I am happy to be here, and I look forward to trying more products from as many recommended sellers as possible.
I stopped using a vendor for subbing stuff yet the listing stayed live. I'd rather pay a couple of bucks more and get exactly what I expected to. All the sellers I buy from currently mark the packs so you know what's what. I tend to order quite a few bits at once and while I'd likely be able to identify them by smell I'd definitely get the hump if I actually had to.

Thanks man. It didn't really occur to me it'd be useful for new vendors. It must be hard to make your mark as a vendor. You need to build trust up first and get your first few super fans. Good luck with your shop.
Integrity and attitude is what makes a good vendor.
My favourite vendors are Shroom Of The Loom (he goes above and beyond, great relations with this guy), TheGoodStuff (made two mistakes out of 20 orders, rectified them no questions asked) and FungalCate (was willing to accommodate a special request for me). All 3 have good stealth (TGS has the worst but it's not bad at all). And they all have good comms.
Vendors that use their own products are the ones you can trust the most imo, and I know these 3 vendors do.
Dr Distillate and Greencat are also two vendors I trust, Greencat can be hit and miss but generally gets decent stuff. I'm going to go against the grain here and say, I wouldn't recommend druids magic. Sure they are lovely people, but it's overpriced homegrown sadly. The terps I had from the two strains I sampled were nice but the weed was not even that strong, I wasn't impressed considering the £10 a gram price.
The worst vendors are the ones peddling questionable hash and then getting extremely defensive over it. They make the borgs money though so nothing will ever be done :)
My favourite vendors are Shroom Of The Loom (he goes above and beyond, great relations with this guy), TheGoodStuff (made two mistakes out of 20 orders, rectified them no questions asked) and FungalCate (was willing to accommodate a special request for me). All 3 have good stealth (TGS has the worst but it's not bad at all). And they all have good comms.
Vendors that use their own products are the ones you can trust the most imo, and I know these 3 vendors do.
Dr Distillate and Greencat are also two vendors I trust, Greencat can be hit and miss but generally gets decent stuff. I'm going to go against the grain here and say, I wouldn't recommend druids magic. Sure they are lovely people, but it's overpriced homegrown sadly. I like SOTL although not ordered there for a while. Used to like the Tommy Shelby shatter. Stealth+1 delivery style. Tgs are getting some nice products at not huge money.

Also worth noting GC subbed half of one of my bits before and upgraded me simply as they felt I'd like the other bit better. And were completely correct. I was skint so bought the cheapest so the part upgrade was a lovely thought to make my week better. So not all subs are bad. There's a good way to do it!

I'd say message ASAP just now bud, the candy kush is absolutely stunning. Think everything else from the latest crop is low or sold out. Catch it while you can, and everything you mention on your list will be more than met.

Have to recommend Green Avenger Weed. Free next day delivery and a lot of the time they chuck in a freebie too. Reasonably priced and their stealth is always on point.

It's must be tough for a new vendor. Trust and reliability are core and you can only build that up over time. Have to keep plugging away at it. . However I note big vendors do change on LB so some of the current newbies will be the big teams of the future. I think most customers are looking at the values I've listed and like me hope to find a reliable vendor they can use on repeat. I'm sure you'll build a base of superfans who'll elevate you to the next level. Good luck with your vending.
I think that’s effectively the humbling aspect of this all at the end of the day I had a bad start on here family problems and what not but essentially in the short time that I’ve done this consistently I’ve seen two repeat customers if not only great business but also Great relationship and connection!
It's a cliche but all businesses are about relationships. Even the big brands we like, we form a sort of relationship with. And like all relationships there's a key factor of trust. People trust based on feeling. And creating that feeling is what it's all about.

its really good. i had a sample myself and would recommend. plan to buy more. i found it v uppy, surprisingly so, made for a v useful option. has a v unique flavour profile though kinda smokey-cured like a fine tobacco, so maybe try a smaller bit first

Druid's Magic, British Bulldog, Keep It Green and Franz are all top notch growers. I'd post links if I wasn't so lazy, you can find them via keyword search on the Items wall.

Morning all, bad news I'm afraid.
It would appear bitpanda has begun to fully enforce the travel rule which came into effect 30/12/24. Entering any name and wallet host appears to no longer work. Bitpanda is now fully reviewing transactions (maybe a proportion I don't know) and demanding the full legal name and date of birth of the transaction counterparty (recipient).
Here's the email I got from bitpanda support when I queried:
"We are contacting you regarding one of your recent crypto transactions on the Bitpanda platform.
To help us investigate and resolve this transaction as quickly as possible, please provide us with the full legal name of the transaction counterparty (recipient/sender). In accordance with the Travel Rule regulations, we are required to implement strict security measures for all crypto transfers. You can find more information about the Travel Rule and its requirements in our FAQ.
Please note that without the required information, we will not be able to proceed with the transfer. We kindly ask that you reply to us within 3 days, otherwise, the transaction will be cancelled.
We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation and understanding. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via our contact form.

Ah that’s annoying mate - what I’m doing is just sending it to an anonymous Exodus wallet first (twice the sending fees but no scrutiny or hassle). And putting down the recipient as myself of course, “self-hosted wallet”. After that, no one checks - I can send to LB. Gives me peace of mind as all the Bitcoin platforms are getting twitchy these days ;). I’ve heard of people having their Coinbase accounts shut down for sending to LB.
Anyway, glad it finally went through for you! But I’d def recommend using a free wallet like Exodus from now on.
Oh and just one tip - I can’t seem to send Bitcoin on the mobile version of Exodus, only the desktop one.

Also remember to check the sending fees on Exodus, and buy a little extra bitcoin for sending from Exodus to LB - I only say that because I’ve been caught out by that more than once ;((

Just as an update for anyone who has similar, All went through in the end, I just gave bitpanda my own date of birth and name (which they must already have?) and they agreed to put it through. Fuck knows?

The reason why they want your name and DOB is becuase starting this year Exchanges which operate on a KYC basis in the UK will report to the Taxman.
It's already the case with e-sales and many of us have been burnt.
As I said before I do not want to link to Giv sites from LB but if you do a bit of research you will see that potentially the Taxman could investigate your crypto activity and ask to see all transactions all the way into non-KYC wallets.
I've personally shut down my Revolut account at this stage to keep it safe and I'm living on my stash for the time being.

Natalensis is a bizarre African strain of psilocybin mushroom. I hear all the time in reference to strains ‘a cube is a cube’ and although I disagree I understand the point of view. BUT! Check this, these mad fuckers aren’t cubes. There’s some sciencey bits I’m sure someone can help with distinctions but I can give you personal experience.
These are without doubt my favourite strain. These are super strong (hence the SS, it’s not a nazi thing) and have regularly blown me away since the first time I took them lightly and turned into an owl. They look like any old mushroom, smell and taste just as gross but then boom. The most intense trip I’ve had this side of LSD. Talking of trips is tedious to listen to so I’ll not bother.
Not for newbies or the faint hearted.

Just had this for the first time. I went with the wallet and sent to myself... they then left the payment pending for an hour and it eventually went t…
No organisation has the time to review every transaction, but for best practice I’d recommend sending the bitcoin to an anonymous wallet like Exodus first before sending to LB - yes you pay twice the sending fees but they’re very low at the moment. And I have heard of people having their Coinbase accounts shut down. With a wallet in between, you can pretty much guarantee no scrutiny.

I've always made my bitcoin purchases here on LB. Coinbase updated and now I can't. It says I have 2 options. 1.Send to Self custody wallet, which I tried but still won't send out. Or 2. Send thru Exchange, however there are tons of Exchanges to send thru. Does anyone know which Exchange I should use for here on LB? or is/has anyone else gone thru this? Huge thanks ahead of time for absolutely any help or tips xx 🙏❤❤❤
I downloaded Exodus app, (cheers RB) when prompted by coinbase say you're sending it to yourself, send it to Exodus (yourself) and pay LB from there. As mentioned previously it costs a few more pence but has let me circumnavigate their snooping, Exodus have asked no questions, thus far!

Send to self custody wallet make sure you check the little box which says sending to myself then just use your first name
I did that without an issue but then it wouldn't me send to anyone else. Suppose I could have a glitch with my wallet. Huge thanks tho xx
UPDATE- Top left hand corner of Coinbase app, choose send, then choose Exchange, I used "coinbase" as my Exchange from a huge list of available, not exactly in alphabetical order so missed it first few times. It was under "C" though. Huge thanks to everyone for the help, very much appreciated xx 🙏💕💕💕
