Agreed, I went to Istanbul during Ramadan a few years ago and it was fantastic. Highly recommend that city, just a beautiful place and the food is amazing!

Malaysia & Indonesia definitely worth a mention! Very underrated as tourist destinations. Azerbaijan is a fairly secular Muslim nation, with a big drinking culture & nightclubs, same goes for Kosovo. Friend of mine visited both & had a great time. Apparently Kosovans love Brits. Morocco is very regional, but always friendly. I've never been but some of the best & most hospitable people I've encountered come from there - a colleague of mine gave me a big chunk of hash at work once because he was despairing at the shwag I was smoking (pre-LB days!).
Wow as a British Muslim I came here expecting the same regurgitated racist nonsense you see all over Facebook etc. I just want to say itโs a breath of fresh air seeing all these posts. I also wanted to say that first and foremost I would consider myself British, my dad moved to this country 30+ years ago (whether due to prior circumstances or not) and has built an amazing life for us all here in much we certainly wouldnโt have been able to enjoy in his own country.
The problem is you have people coming over nowadays who do not want to intergrate into British society at all, learn the language? No thanks, try some traditional English food? donโt eat that horrible bland food. Claim the benefits? Yes please. I find myself in a situation where I am unable to buy a home, unable to live comfortably while working what I would say is a fairly good job all because 1000+ goes towards deductions and funding these kind of people. These kind of people are the real problem and tarnish the reputation of everyone else.
To the OPs question most countries barring Saudi Arabia are fine for a visit just be sure to obey the local customs. Saudi Arabia is full of bigoted hypocrites so I would steer well clear of there. Some notable examples which are quite liberal are Morocco and Turkey. Istanbul and marrakech are good city breaks and there are also loads of resort towns such as Agadir, Bodrum etc. Further afield you could travel to the northern areas of Pakistan where I am from we have the 2nd tallest mountain K2, hash from the Himalayas beautiful food and beautiful people. Itโs an amazing place and itโs safe despite what you hear on the news. Search karakoram tourism if youโre interested

I am talking from first hand experience, I know my dad experienced racism in the 90s and I have experienced it first hand when travelling to more rural parts of the UK. Racists will be racists but I have enough life experience to know not all white people in this country are like that. This is nothing to do with race anyway itโs about British culture and contributing to the society we live in. I have seen myself people come over here, get a council house within 2 months, universal credit, free medical. Add the odd cash in hand job to that and youโre laughing.

We've always had high levels of migration in and out of this country and just to be clear I am more than happy with that, I'm not trying to make some sort of anti-migration point in a weird way.

Would you prefer that they weren't? Do you not think it hinders someone's ability to become a functioning member of society if they're homeless, penniless, and denied medical treatment? I agree if there is a genuine need for asylum then yes careful support should be provided but also monitored and tapered off when reasonable. The current system can be more profitable than working a 9-5.

I'm sure we're in agreement that we have a crazy economic situation where working 9-5 at minimum wage is often not enough to survive, and I agree that the meagre levels of support that's provided by the welfare state sometimes exceed that. But it's the low wages and high costs that are the problem, the disparities in wealth distribution in the sixth largest economy in the world. It's not the amounts that are received by benefit claimants that causes problems for those in low paid work. Far from it, indeed it makes society worse for everyone to live amongst widespread poverty.

My friend went to Iraq before lockdown and had a brilliant time. Iraqis are very friendly and tjough there are issues a well run tour will be worth it. Some of the architecture looks incredible.
I'll vouch for Morocco. You've got to be streetwise of course, but a beautiful country with kind and generous people. You soon tune out the prayer calls.
As an english guy with a house in morocco, I'd definitely vouch for that - I fell in love with the place. Tangiers in the nprth is perfect if you dont want things too hot and youd like to still see alot of europeans, casablanca or marakech if your looking for the arab vibes with old medinas and lots of tourist activities - Fez if you like leather. There are even a few smaller places i like such as chef chawen - the blue city which have some amazing places to see. You could even visit the jabala and see farming as it was hundreds of years ago - youll never meet nicer or more genuine people

I travelled around SE Asia for a few months and I loved Lombok in Indonesia. We were stopping at a homestead that a Muslim family owned. They don't drink but were more than happy to get alcohol in for us travellers.

Being of Islamic faith I'd say most muslims actually really like modern American and European culture, it fits very well with our cultural structures.
As a non Muslim in an Islamic country, as a guest, you will be treated very well.

Northern Cyprus is good in the summer for a few weeks great food that is inexpensive, for around a tenner you can get a decent 3 couse meal at a nice Chinese for example and really nice backdrops of the sea at most restaurants just donโt upset anyone in the army as they do no fuck about.
I heard a story when I was there about a foreigner who had pissed off one of there neighbours and the neigbour told the army that they had drugs so they got them and held them for 2 days hitting them demanding to know where the stash was buried a proper pistol whipping.
Also be aware if you ever get caught in a Muslim country with narcotics you are on your own no one will risk there reputations to be associated with drugs so no help will be coming anytime soon.

I'd second Indonesia and Malaysia as being extremely friendly, but the friendliest people I've ever met are from travelling in Kyrgyzstan, where everyone I met wanted you to either stay with them or to take you out for dinner and meet all their family and friends! I've also heard great things about Tajikistan!๐๐ผ๐

Pakistan is very good country to visit, most travel vloggers has said Pakistan is the most hospitable country out of the 44 countries they visited. Personally I'd travel to northern areas of Pakistan and even go to the area near Afgan border if your wanting fresh pure hash
Morocco, Egypt, Turkey and Indonesia are all favourites but a real stand out star for me is Uzbekistan - full of history, especially from the Genghis Khan days as the silk road splits in Uzbekistan where you can go up to Russia/Europe or down to Middle East/Africa, as well as being full of really lovely people. I hope to get back there one day...
I spent 3 years in Indonesia and 3 months in the Philippines with frequent travel to Singapore. Indonesia was like my second home, just stay clear of drugs, which you'll most likely only be offered in bali and the neighbouring islands.
If you don't have an international driving license and shouldn't be on the roads, they'll hand you a piece of paper saying you need to pay ยฃ50-100. Don't pay it. Before I lived there and was a tourist I was stupid enough to pay it. You should be paying around ยฃ5. Locals pay around ยฃ2.
In the 3 years I was there, I only felt unsafe twice. One was on a bus and the people were trying to sell me a fake rolex for an amount of money and they were quite adamant I was gonna pay up. Second time I was out in the sticks with my girlfriend on my vespa and a dodgy couple were following us, clocked them quite early and confirmed relatively soon after they were looking into us. We just headed back to the population. Whether we were somewhere we shouldnt have been and peaked interest, ill never know!
Going back to drugs, my apartment was randomly raided for a drugs test. Not shitting you I open the door to a big team of narco agents and a TV news crew. They were doing random drugs tests in the neighbourhood. Literally take me to my toilet, pass me a plastic cup and watches me with my back turned pee in the cup! Can't make the shit up! Fortunately all was good.
I have highlighted a few of my bad experiences however it can't replace the 100s of amazing experiences I gained. The people are friendly, the food is good. Number 1 rule when visiting Asian Street food stalls, go where all the locals go, if you don't follow the rule you'll end up code brown.

If you don't have an international driving license and shouldn't be on the roads, they'll hand you a piece of paper saying you need to pay ยฃ50-100. Don't pay it. Before I lived there and was a tourist I was stupid enough to pay it. You should be paying around ยฃ5. Locals pay around ยฃ2.
In the 3 years I was there, I only felt unsafe twice. One was on a bus and the people were trying to sell me a fake rolex for an amount of money and they were quite adamant I was gonna pay up. Second time I was out in the sticks with my girlfriend on my vespa and a dodgy couple were following us, clocked them quite early and confirmed relatively soon after they were looking into us. We just headed back to the population. Whether we were somewhere we shouldnt have been and peaked interest, ill never know!
Going back to drugs, my apartment was randomly raided for a drugs test. Not shitting you I open the door to a big team of narco agents and a TV news crew. They were doing random drugs tests in the neighbourhood. Literally take me to my toilet, pass me a plastic cup and watches me with my back turned pee in the cup! Can't make the shit up! Fortunately all was good.
I have highlighted a few of my bad experiences however it can't replace the 100s of amazing experiences I gained. The people are friendly, the food is good. Number 1 rule when visiting Asian Street food stalls, go where all the locals go, if you don't follow the rule you'll end up code brown.

Definitely would recommend Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, Tunisia and Jordan. Malaysia and Indonesia are possibly the friendliest and nicest people Iโve ever met in my life. Also, their food and natural scenery is absolutely top tier. Morocco is a nice place too but I think the others are much better especially for tourism.

If itโs Muslim history and culture youโre after I would say Istanbul (research Ottoman Empire before you go). Also Jordan has lots of history dating back to the time of the crusaders. Do a bit of research on the crusade and salahuddin ayyubi before you go (heโs a bit of a hero amongst our Kurdish brothers).

I've said before that Foo Fighters are one of the last true mainstream, longstanding, "Rock Bands" that maintain the rock spirit

I always enjoy telling them that i saw Dave Grohl drumming for Scream before he joined Nirvana.
Rock music is still alive and well, its just not as popular as it used to be. It isnt dangerous and exciting to young people any more, rap/hiphop has taken its place in that regard...

Steve Wilson is a fantastically talented musician, however he's also a mahoosive elitest plonker who for a very long time wouldn't release music on streaming services due to it being "digital" and lower quality and therefore not the experience he wanted for his listener base. He has since changed his stance on this but it along with some really awful interviews he did make me unable to listen to his music (knowingly)

You are one "L" away from the same name as a southern rock band! Rock seemed to eat its babies over the last decade or two. Too many old rockers raging at the dying of the light while clutching a new remaster of Physical Graffiti and demanding to know why there is no good new music anymore (there was, you didnt support it).
For me no matter how many bands I listen too I always end up back with the classics , floyd , the who, zeppelin, sabbath the doors etc itโs like a warm bath after work just slip straight in! Lol

Richard Linklaters two rotoscoped classics, "Waking Life" and "A Scanner Darkly" are great to watch when you're baked.
A Scanner Darkly is a great pic. I only learned recently that Phillip K Dick wrote this (along with the book Bladerunner is based on - 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep' and also 'Minority Report' to name but a few. He is the Don of sci-fi.
Some of his early stuff that hasn’t been made into a movie or a tv show is amazing. Think he found god around the early 70s (the acid and weed was good back in the day) and his later stuff is very spiritual. He is the Don !
I recommend Abre Los Ojos (Open Your Eyes) which was inspired by Ubik and remade as Vanilla Sky.

DO NOT refuse to pay your energy bill in October. Below is how you can make a stand and hurt your energy supplier without getting into debt/damaging your credit rating:
1. Cancel your DD & pay for what you use each month.
2. You then need to write a letter of complaint to your energy supplier. Once that complaint had been raised, your energy supplier can't take any debt collection work on your account, so they can't pass your details to the credit reference agencies etc. That bill gets put on hold whilst they try to resolve your complaint.
The energy company might offer you a small reduction - DON'T accept it. Keep the complaint open & hold strong.
3. Eventually, they will send you a letter of 'Deadlock'. A letter of Deadlock is a letter that is sent to you from your energy company saying they gone as far as they can with your complaint & can't go any further, so your only option now is to take it up with the energy Ombudsman.
For every complaint the Ombudsman receives, they charge your energy supplier ยฃ500 for every claim they have to investigate.
4. The energy companies also have limitations on how many complaints they're allowed open as well as a turnaround time of how fast they have to respond to a complaint & get a complaint closed. If they don't respond to them fast enough & don't resolve the complaints or they have too many complaints open, the energy firm will also get hit with a fine from the Ombudsman.
This is how your hurt an energy company. This will also put them in breach of their licensing conditions
& put their ability to trade at risk.
So if you want to fight these extortionate price hikes

fuck harming anyone, its not going to do any good and it's a violation of little biggy to promote it. i know that's not your intention but just sayin.
energy is getting more de-centralised and we don't need to fight master to free ourselves. solar panels are independent and pay off faster every time prices go up. insulation and staying out of cars also pays off big without politics and it's fucked up price on all of us.
i realise not everyone has these options. i'm a renter and i already take the tube but i just got a cooled mattress and it saves bucketloads of air conditioning. winter has even easier solutions, fabrics basically. if we all do this the price is guaranteed to go down not only for each of us but collectively as even in this market supply and demand mean a lot.

i realise not everyone has these options. i'm a renter and i already take the tube but i just got a cooled mattress and it saves bucketloads of air conditioning. winter has even easier solutions, fabrics basically. if we all do this the price is guaranteed to go down not only for each of us but collectively as even in this market supply and demand mean a lot.

Good info. i closed a complaint with them given me 100 in credit. but they robbed me for loads which i got back in the end. Ombudsman was crap . Local MP sorted it out... But wish i knew this info b4 hand. thanks.

As we've requested multiple times by customers and vendors by not having this feature it does nothing but negatively impact the site!
Its 2022 not the 1990's why should we have to spend the evening messaging customers to tell them we've run out of stock, its really ridiculous that in this day and age there isn't a stock counter this must be a very simple feature that should be one of the first things the admin adds on any marketplace!

The amount of profit this site must take, it's mind boggling how simple changes that have been requested for years, still haven't been made.

It drives us crazy as we believe its a simple feature, any marketplace has a quantity section when listing a item and LB is the only exception, who knows Anon we must be missing something.
We can't see it benefiting anyone vendors struggle, customers are left disappointed and Transaxe have to process refunds in some cases, we don't know how its more talked about on the topics page :/

Last time this happened to me was with you guy's about a month or so ago. I ordered lemon punch which sold out so i recieved the lemon haze which was very nice but it must of been pure luck that you had a lemon strain to replace, in the past it has not gone so well with other vendors, for example receiving strains with pine terps when i ordered a sherbet strain which is a big disappointment for me.
If i was a vendor the one thing i would want was a stock count so i could program the amount of units and go off and do something else or at least concentrate on comms, i cannot believe there is no system in place and one of the main reasons that puts me off becoming a vendor along with the high fee's.

I remember putting up a post about 2 years ago on this same topic of discussion, the fact nothing ever really gets done is absolutely mind blowing, having an online market without a stock counter is the most counter productive setup i could possibly imagine, it affected even my very brief stint as a vendor and it affects all vendors and all customers every day, and why???

The amount of times Iโve had to have an order swapped for something else as it ran out when I ordered is daft when thereโs such a simple fix

Having been on this lovely sight for years (multiple accounts) it has been an utter frustration to browse for a considerable amount of time only to find what you think would be the perfect strain/vendor only to be sent something completely different. Some vendors will do the right thing and let you know that they have sent you something different because of stock issues, but the majority do not!!

I'd love a stock counter more than anything, i'm a fan of the site how it looks and operates but this is a very important step forwards.(the less legit this site looks the better imo, and i like the dollars too because of this, even if we lose out at times)
I've been caught out before when vendor had little stock and i'll sometimes choose the strain with the biggest quantities listed in a shop just because of this.
CI are great folks, they never get wall time, even when us biggas praise them it always falls from wall.

I've not experienced this as of yet but definitely is an obviously need feature. That and changing pricing to ยฃ is what this site desperately needs. Other than that, so far my experience with LB is golden
A stock counter is a must. Helps stop problems before they occur, which means more happy customers and more happy vendors surely?

Iโm shocked this doesnโt exist already! A fairly simple feature to implement that would have great benefits for all parties, ultimately even for the admins as Iโd guess sales would increase. Letโs get this done, for everyoneโs sake
Stock counter makes perfect sense as there's no dates on posts so unless you get in early there's no guarantee that you'll actually get your preferred order placement.

They can make a stock counter that doesn't publish the amounts

I have no idea if vendors would be happy saying they X amount tbh I was just thinking some may not like saying we got massive quantities purely from a security perspective.

This would be amazing - I know I've experienced a different bud being sent due to product being out of stock. Would also make the vendors lives a lot easier so they can keep tabs on inventory - pretty basic for all merchants to have some sort of IMS. I can definitely help if need be? Bless ๐
Honestly this should be should an easy fix for this website. Stock counter should be used. I've used this website countless times and have suffered from not having one.
Luckily yhe vendors have been very helpful in the situation but nether the less it would be amazing!

Completely agree with Canadian Imports, this issue is causing sellers the added stress and admin work to let buyers know they have run out of stock or to ask about selecting an alternative. A stock counter would take away this issue almost immediately as sellers can state exactly how much of a product is left.
Understandably there could be some work here for the devs, however a consultation with the community would soon elicit the requirements for this tool. It may not be perfect at first, but surely implementing something and iterating the technical features would be better than sitting on hands.

100% need a stock counter on this site. Completely agree itโs should be an easy feature to implement. Also would love to see dates on comments and posts, and a search feature. Big respect Canadian Imports for providing a great service and all around great products.

Would be a helpful tool for both vendors and buyers. Buyers could see what's actually available and not have their order or part of their order subbed if the item has gone.
Vendors can then have a smoother selling process which ultimately results in repeat customers and more transactions. It's a win win. A percentage of stock available, something like that.

This is one of the few issues on here that really frustrates customers and sellers. Itโs a bit of a joke that you can spend so long picking a specific item only to receive something different, through no fault of the vendor.

Mad respect to CI for pushing this envelope โ using giveaways as a means to incentivise is a galaxy brain move. Iโve had my share of substitutes, and it can be really disheartening when youโre expecting a product you never receive. LB admin, there must be someone tech-minded you can consult for this stuff! A stock counter would be great, thanks for raising, missed out on too many special items by delaying buying as I had no idea stock was so limited.
Hi there. A stock counter would help vendor and patrons. Nothing worse than ordering something as tasty as Mimosa and without the vendors fault receiving Stardawg. Im only a buyer but can see the issues sellers have, especially when running low on a particular strain. Would be better if item auto removed itself after the predetermined weight had reached its end and stop buyers getting different stock. I wish everyone luck in the prize draw, but myself slightly more ;)

Just use your first initial and last name. You can pick your parcel up but without a full name the police canโt really do shit.

Put yourself in the posties position, They are not supposed to sign for things many will but seeing a different name to the rest of the post will set alarm bells ringing not because they think your up to something dodgy but because they don't want the grief if it is wrongly addressed and the person named trys to find out what happened.Just order a redelivery.
Also you do realise that after 18 days if you've not had it re delivered RM will try to return to sender and since there is no return address it gets sent to the returns centre,Where it will be opened to look for any return address.Any drugs are handed over to the police with the packaging.This is a serious security risk for not only you but the vendor too.

Most of the time they dont even ask for ID or the card they left is more than enough, and if they do ask for id, just use a letter with an adress on it and your real name, there are plenty of reasons besides drugs that you may use an alias when purchasing online (or there could be someone else living at your house). Context is everything when it comes to shit like this, so just keep cool like you would any other parcel, because right now the only person who knows that parcel is suspicious is you. Yeah, if you've not used your real name, you wont have the ID to sign for it. Just use your real name on orders.
I've missed a delivery before and had a card from the postie (went down with my ID, signed for it and went home). The order was from a usual vendor and never had to sign before BUT this is usually the case if it's a temp postie or someone covering the usual postie. My usual postie just puts it through the door. Occasionally it will be a postie covering and they will knock and get you to collect from them.
