My apologies if these aren't 10/10 boys, but people merely selling their product, but I'd feel remiss in not warning potential customers or 10/10boys. I ordered 250g of D9 from these guys, choosing Royal Mail 1st class as shipping. Got a tracking email from a company I've never heard of, but seemed ok. After receiving nothing on Friday after item was marked "out for delivery" on Thursday, I was told to search my spam mail. There was an email from the driver demanding a £200 deposit to deliver, fully refunded on delivery of course. This didn't sit right with me at all, so I got chatting to the driver. He told me I would have delivery within 30 mins of paying him. I offered to come and collect from him, at which point he lets slip he's in Aberdeen, about as far away from me as possible. He quickly corrected himself, but the jig was up. All further communications with 1010boys went ignored. You might do alright on a site like this with escrow, but never buy directly from them, they are straight up scammers and will have your money. Once established that it was a scam, you can expect to never hear back from them again. Buy at your own risk, but personally, I'd recommend avoiding scammers, whether they'll delivery with escrow or not. These people are scum and will take your money then ignore you forever. Of course, after all of this, I did a deep dive on Google, this is thier MO - their "delivery drivers" who never have their hands on your shipment demand amounts ranging from £100 and up as a "deposit" to make your delivery, then run off with your money, never to speak to you again. I found countless other cases where this had been pulled off. I just wish I hadn't gotten greedy at the good prices and done my research before I sent any money. My bank will no recovery my original payment. I was smart enough with Paypal to do business, so I have buyer protection and will get my money back. Another sign of this being a scam is how annoyed the driver was when I sent him paypay business instead of "friends and family" or another payment method which would leave me no recourse. This is not a one off or a misunderstanding, this is the modus operandi of these people, they are complete scum, and you'd be well advised to never attempt to do any business with them.

I was wondering what everyone’s interpretation is of the old white ash.
Proper flush, organic, perfectly cured, better quality?

My understanding was that it meant that the plant had had a proper flush and had flushed salts and nutrients out. But having smoked organically grown, two week flushed flower in a pipe and seen the dark ash I felt that perhaps there is more myth to this. ( Especially if you research into studies on flushing ).
After doing a bit of reading on the old white ash, it seems like the only consistent idea is that white ash is a sign of efficient combustion.
So wetter bud might ash grey/black but so too can very resinous bud. Pipes tend to produce darker ash as do tighter joints.
I’ve noticed on Little Biggy that people often see white ash as a quality indicator. How much of this is gospel truth or perhaps old wives tales?

Personally i think it's complete nonsense. White ash can be nasty and black ash can be great, it's completely strain dependant.

More importantly, it's a question of combustion. You can get any plant matter to burn white if you get it hot enough....hence "white hot". It's simply a case of using a higher temperate flame and bingo, what was black is now white.

If you're smoking a spliff and it's got black ash you've got two potential reasons;

1) the weed is wet, i.e it hasn't been dried properly and likely not been cured at all = dog shit

2) the weed sticky because it's full of trichomes and burns slow, appearing to be black because it hasn't completely combusted = good shit

Take No.2 and put one of those windproof lighters on it, (the ones that look like a bunson burner) and bingo....white ash.

If i had a pound for every time i've had to bite my lip with people talking about black ash and flushing i'd have about....well.... £45, but seriously, I grow in hydro, where arguably you don't even need to flush and i still do with RO water for 10 days, then dry for at least 2 weeks and cure for at least 8, and sometimes, yes, there are still certain phenos that will produce black ash.

The assumption that anything that burns close to black is somehow bad 'un-flushed' weed is a complete myth. There's bad weed that smokes white and good weed that smokes black (and vice versa), and the grey area in between.

That is rare and usually of my street plug but always been nasty ole shite 😂

I think it’s a big myth and is fully dependent on strain, moisture content, and heat. I’ve had both white ash that was terrible and was just burning white because it was hot enough to, and i’ve had grey and black ash (not crispy black ash as that in my experience has always been horrible) that has been amazing, i think it’s just a big myth that people know use as a gold standard for quality of bud but i think it’s bullshit tbh but each to their own 😊

Its a myth man, all comes down to the fineness of the grind and moisture content of the bud.

Take a joint from your stash and let it go bone dry and compare it to a joint of the same weed that still has a bit of spring to it when you squeese it. The dry one will be white ash.

You also have to factor in that tobacco will naturally burn white too, so depending on how much you use in your spliff will depend on how consistently you see white ash on top of every other reason as to why it can happen. Dazzler easily has the best explanation.

This has been on my mind since I bought some of Real D’s, shake. I blitzed the shake in my coffee bean grinder and mixed it with some bud. White ash every time and a clean burn all the way down to the roach.

I assumed it was the bud, but when I ran out, I resorted to Real D’s, shake and it burned exactly the same, clear white ash and no interruptions during the smoke.

This got me thinking. Was it the shake or the grind? What I discovered was a combination of two things, grind and dryness, but hey, I could be wrong.

On the flip side, I’ve had some uk Cali fire (yes I’m being sarcastic) and burnt quite poorly. A day out on the tray and coffee bean grinder blitz later and hey presto, white ash.

If your ash is black that is all the leftover nutrients left over in your plant. This will result in an unpleasant smoke.
