Discovery by a long way for me. It just didn’t feel like Star Trek. Rewatched all of Enterprise recently and it was way better than I remembered.

Really? The 2nd season was annoying as any grade school social propaganda but I thought the 1st season was right up there near the best Trek.

I’m sure I’ll rewatch it in a couple of years and have a fresh perspective. I just couldn’t handle ( forgive me if I’m taking Star Trek too seriously ? )the fact that, fundamentally Star Fleet is military, yes? How did Tilly make it onto a military vessel? Even Reg Berkeley for all his foibles had a semblance of respect for the fact he was on a military mission. I love Joss Whedon’s dialogue and sass but he’s an inappropriate inspiration for Star Trek characters.

Can you remember when Enterprise was on channel 4 on a Sunday and if there was a two part one, they would show part one and forget to put part two on the week after!

totally agree. I watched part of discovery with my flatmate who hasn't seen any other trek series, she loves it and i feel nothing for it. I feel like it was made to bring in new fans

might try re watching enterprise but i don't have much hope for that either.

For me it has to be Enterprise. Even the theme music felt wrong to me. It felt like the cast never really jelled and as a result the whole thing feels flat and disappointing.
Maybe its time to consider re-watching Enterprise? Perhaps it will age like a fine wine! ?

Enterprise got really good in the last two seasons. It is the closest thing to Trek you got even with this Discovery+Picard nonsense, so I'd recommend watching it if you haven't.

Murder Mountain - Netflix

Easily the best documentary mini series I've seen in years. And I watch a lot of them. Fascinating if you're interested in the cannabis business, and murder....and weird isolated communities, and loads more.

Just incredible. Seen it 3 times and might watch it again.

Tiger King on Netflix is also pretty good although didn't need to be as long as it was. Seemed to be dragged out over too many episodes.

If you are at all interested in hip hop, check out the BBC Four series "Hip Hop - The Songs That Shook America". I only saw one episode so far, but there are some amazing interviews, old footage and stories.

The new Netflix doc about Biggie is pretty good too.

didn't rate it tbh, didn't think it did the best job of telling his story and jumped around too much. Found it tedious to watch at times imo. I'm a big biggie fan so had high hopes

The Decline Of Western Civilization: There's 3 of these. The second one is the funniest. In parts it's like a real-life Spinal Tap.

Heavy Metal Parking Lot: This is on Youtube and is only like 10 minutes long. But it's about the carpark scene at a Judas Priest concert. Mullets and questionable characters abound.

Project Grizzly: Mad man tries to invent a suit that will allow him to survive a grizzly bear attack. He ends up looking like Robocop. One of the funniest documentaries ever made.

American Movie: Amateur filmmaker is trying to get his horror movie made over multiple years. Follows him and his cast (locals/family) and the terrible movie they make.

I must admit, I am a die hard carnivore. But that doc did make me think about eating less meat too. Check Joe Rogan podcast too with the doc maker. Very interesting.

The same here- ended up eating less meat just because I started eating more veg :) Not a black/white path though as there are A LOT of poor quality "vegan"-labelled products with tonnes of salt and things that are much worse than meat.

Was just about to say, totally agree - Vegan doesnt mean healthy. We got wrapped up in Beyond meat etc etc but you check the ingredients and most contain methylcellulose and other synthetic products that we are not totally clear on how they effect your body - stick to vegetables, fruits and if anything you buy has less that 5 ingredients in it, you are on to a winner 🙏🏽

We had one last week that got snagged , but have had 4 other's that have landed successfully last week. We also have another method where we get more or less 100% success but it just takes longer.

You have some great products. I’d like to hear more on this other method you use.

I think one thing that might help is varying (outer) packaging. With some vendors its so characteristic its easily recognisable. I imagine if an individual officer gets couple seizures with same packaging they'll recognise it again. Probably get a bonus and treated as a hero in work. They also seemed to add an extra digit to weight of product i ordered. Has anyone had any follow up from Gardai?

I agree some of the packaging looks similar and can be easily spotted. Getting stuff from UK is alot harder though with the new customs checks. Euro to Euro is the way to go but unfortunately there isnt many. Although Hashishin is based outside Europe and has the best stealth going. Ive had a few seizures over the past year but has never been a follow up. I was still careful though.

Another seizure from me fro TGT. As you can see incorrect value added for customs (€25 stationary)- which meant they were guaranteed to open package as extra charges would have been due- definately not ordering from them again- didnt change packaging and of course left a return address... doing all the right things to get the feds to their door. Package also smelt strongly of weed from outside.... though this could be because it was opened. Can I raise a dispute? Both original order and replacement nabbed. Anyone here having any stuff actually come thru?
