AI So What. There will always be work.
This humble and intelligent professor explains how machine replacement of jobs works out for people; it's always in ways that are new and unimaginable. It is certain we are in for a great time with A.I. enabling us to to incredible stuff.
cory doctrow has an interesting perspective on this, saying that all the displacement from global warming and increased healthcare needs will keep humans busy for a very long time.
with all due respect it can take a bullet, sacrifice its life, and draw on millions of previous occurrences. that's a helluva start.
What if the people who's lives are at risk all get replaced by robots? Also, isn't that what a self driving car is doing constantly?
cars have relatively simple rules and a very fixed environment. interpreting a dangerous human is a much, much harder problem
AI is well past any notion or idea we can fathom. AI dosent follow ANY rule we stand by.
We as humans will never quite grasp the entire picture, while AI has already found the end of the road. there are things in basic sciences kept from most people, like gravity drives, the TIME axis (think twister/tornado), scalar waves, over unity devices, etc... AI wont follow the bounds because its supressed by money or greed...
we as humans can TRY to think what will happen, but in all reality, were already in the losing seat without any hope for a "comeback kid story"
Stop thinking in a 3rd dimension mindset, and learn quantum physics a little. (want to be totaly mindblown?? look up QUANTUM radar- and how its actualy In use RIGHT NOW!)
--note-- the united states has 3 confirmed quantum computers in use! (i accidently came across one when i traveled for work, but most people wouldnt know to look at the cryogentics involved)
Machine-in-a box- experiment has already proven even the smartest among us, would lose.
me,myself ,personaly, am clueless what outcomes will unfold, but without any doubt , humans are not top priority when AI is really awake. current neuro-nets are mind boggling and google themselves admits they cant explain how its AI created child AI even works. (yes, AI created its own second AI) want to me mind blown again, years ago it was used, look up the AI that was tested in new yorks hospital system. the smartest doctors from the world STILL dont understand what that AI did , and how it was so correct/right 97%.)
i wont lie and say its all terminator 2JD, but that is one possible outcome. we as fellow fleshy companions should enjoy life now and every moment. we wont have many opertunities when AI is out of the box.
Note: its not IF , but WHEN, and WHEN happens?? ---will humans stand a chance or will an outaide force be required? (aliens, god, let your mind wander)

If there is work for humans it has to be something A.I. can't do. We are all teaching it to do everything, even (especially) right here.
I think its like retirement age is on the horizon and humans need to decide what they are going to do with all the free time.

I totally disagree. AI is the continuation of the same pyramid model of which history has proven that it's bound to fail. The resources needed are of a scale that requires heavy (and never ending) financial investments. The food eaten by AI is data. The provider: humanity.
The larger the scale of data one can feed, the better the AI (and it's owners) can fingerprint, the more refined it's targeting.
Let's take an example of "AI" that we all know:
Software Antivirus:
Supposed to be the guardian that protects an operating system against 'threats' and 'threat actors using a variety of techniques to identify them. Pattern based detection, behavioural analysis and heuristics (an expensive word for: 'guesstimating' or an 'educated' guess). Your antivirus is part of a swarm that provides the antivirus vendor with data on new threats and their geographic impact.
However:
The data you provide is 'free', there is no reward or any form of renumeration for the infrastructure that you provided. A computer is not free, internet is not free, the power needed is also not free and although there are free AV solutions, most demand a subscription fee.
In return you get a product and service which does not provide any guarantees that it will adequately protect you against 'threats'.
In reality AV is becoming a relic.
Human intelligence has outsmarted AV and found ways to circumvent it using the 'Trojan horse' approach or by simple social engineering.
As there was no incentive to find or report security vulnerabilities, the data needed to feed pattern/behavioural dried up.
Heuristics is gambling with historical data, if that data is worthless so are heuristics.
And so is any form of AI hence all media and marketing efforts to portray it as the next best evolution. The driver: more profit less people.
The touted theories about a minimal wage without having to work for it are a continuation of AI Utopia. It would make people dependent on their nations through a socialist measure.
That spells national socialism and fascism.
Think twice before you give out data for free in exchange for a freemium service.

AI are and will be good for work and a suitable replacement for humans, but even when that happens AI will always need us in case something goes wrong. I mean humans created AI, so in the end we’re always gonna have the more important jobs. AI is just there to do jobs in a more efficient way.
AI will come about one day with baby steps at first to "aid humanity" then all of a sudden the rich wont need people to make the food, cars and entertainment.
we will have an outbreak or a massive global reaching catastrophe while they are all hiding in the bunkers lowering the population to around 10% of what it is now and for a while whats left of humanity and the AI that serves them will live in a new golden ages of peace and prosperity ..........
i might of grew up reading a lof of scifi and fantasy

Yes but conflict between AI's might be the most dangerous thing we are looking at here. We are incidental casualties from that perspective. By we I mean humans :)
Yes all the Scifi is about humans vs AI but AI on AI is such a real possibility especially when you consider the fact that governments are mega funding military robots to fight each other.
I'm looking forward to the futher development of AI, especially General AI. I just think it would be so cool to have an amazon alexa sytle AI that you could take round with you and chat to and have a proper engaging conversation with because sometimes I really can't stand to talk to anymore humans aha
The inspiration process is largely about open mindedness, computers are inherently better at this. If you look at some of the early entrees into the arts like painting and even screen writing they are off to a helluva start.
There are AI playlists on Spotify that generate new music based on current trends and preferences.

Best Example of Communism?
some famous fails for sure but what are the success stories they dont tell us about?
Kerala in India has a long history of electing communist party politicians. It has the highest literacy rate and lowest infant mortality in India due to its policies.
German Peasant's War (where the word communism derives), Paris Commune, two Russian revolutions minus the Bolsheviks, Makhnochina, Spanish revolution, German revolution, May 68, etc. etc. etc.
Losing in the first half don't mean the game's over.

I don't think Communism has ever worked as Capitalists are always creaming off the top.
A great book on the subject is Eat The Rich by the US satirist (and huge drug consumer) P.J. O'Rourke. I think his and my politics are probably polar opposites, but you could get fucked up at a party with him and have an amazing time. Anyway, good book. Breaks down all sorts of different political stances, and Good Communism is one chapter, and Bad Communism another. He's a funny guy, but maybe don't consider it as in depth reasoned academic analysis.
Ah, fuck. He died in 2022. No future parties.

Come on down voters give me a success story if you don't like the truth?? Bloody Marxists never except that it doesn't work. What ever iteration you can think of it WONT WORK!!!! everyone being the same sucks the fun out of life accept that hard work pays!
I'm not advocating for Communism but our society is full of people grafting their respective genitalia off that are still struggling financially. The idea that hard work pays ( properly) is a idea propagated by people seeking to exploit the labour of others. Nobody should need to claim benefits whilst working full time and yet...
Fwiw, I do advocate for a mixed economy. Nationalised energy, health, water, public transport etc and luxuries at the will of the free market.

You shouldn't be allowed to claim any benefits while in full time employment. It's crazy, we are basically subsidising employers who ought to be paying more.
And I hope that, one day, employers decide paying a living wage is more important than ever increasing profits such that in work benefits are no longer necessary. I propose a link between maximum and minimum pay within an organisation. Let's say; no pay ( overall package including bonuses, perks and dividends) higher than 5x the lowest full time salary.
it wouldn't even have to be a regulation, the government does business with so many companies and beneficiaries. if they don't have these multiples in place no people's funds.
employers don't make that call so much as owners do and when the owner is the stock market it's quite blind to anything but profits.
when the owners are the employees this changes priorities.
when the owners are the employees this changes priorities.
"that hard work pays" is often true and the capitalists don't only pontificate this to the masses they teach it to their children. children they practise communism with.
Iβm sure there are loads they just donβt teach us about them. Capitalism doesnβt work either does it? Too many greedy pocket filling bastards. We are all the same having money doesnβt make you better than anyone else, the fact you are here spouting this shows what a sad state the world is in π
You should look into some unbiased reporting on the soviet Union, and some witness statements from the older generation who lived through it.
You will find that many of them tell you life was better in the USSR, than in post USSR Eastern Europe and Russia. Besides that they were several decades ahead of the west on womens rights and social services.
But like anything good, the Americans bring it down from the inside, or out, USSR, Great Britain, either way. Their media controls the narritive, and communism effects their ability to steal all the money. There is a reason Cinema is oversaturated with anti Communist rhetoric.
I'd honestly rather have the worst communist government, than be America number 2.

Yeah and east germany was the most successful communist country of all, just ask anyone that wasn't killed trying to leave.
i'd settle for being ireland number 0.5 :)
they currently have more than double the uk's gdp per capita

Have you ever listened to Konstantin Kisin? A Jewish family - He moved when he was 9 from the ussr to England at the end of the soviet Union just before the fall. His first hand account of his own life tells a very different story to what you describe.
under capitalism hard work has never paid and never will pay lmfao. communism actually prioritises labour, capitalism is about fat pigs at the top skimming off 99% of the profit we produce for them. do you not find it utterly insane tesco has like 5 different in-house brands with varying prices for essentially the same product? or that having less money means you have to settle for lower quality products that are worse for you and spoil faster?
So, you don't think lifting 4/5ths of the world out of relative poverty can be considered "paying off"?
OK Che, communism good π€£π
OK Che, communism good π€£π
do you have a source for this? not trying to challenge so much as i would like to learn more about it. maybe there is even a way the community could help.
there are community outreach programs and obviously government funded systems like food banks to help, but the crisis only really exists because the capitalist system is designed that way. we have the resources to end world hunger but it's not economically beneficial so it will never happen
these are sources on food insecurity in the uk for 2023 and 2024:

food for the hungry is legit and accepts crypto
Does the existence of those children make anything I said less true?
Strawman though. I didn't make a claim that there is no poverty in any country. I think you missed the qualifiers "relative" and "4/5ths" of the world.
I would say, that "starving" inarguably applies to way less than 1 in 5 children in the UK, US or anywhere in the West which makes your point about the ills of capitalism fairly moot in context.
I am no fan of cronyism, and I don't think capitalism is utopia, but it's insane to try and persuade anybody that communism would do better than this.
Thanks for the downvotes. I have over a thousand upvotes and less than 30 down.
Drop me a line next time you are tipping your bathwater into the atalantic. I'll do it too π€£

This is one of the saddest things I've ever read on the internet xD

You stop your quotations at an expedient place. If you would have been less disingenuous about your framing, you would be honest about the fact that the reason I said it was to point out that the users who's position I criticised (fairly and civilly) had no reply apart from the futile downvotes, as I was describing.
If I was trying to persuade anybody of anything about me with only what you have entered in your own quotation marks as the context then I'd tend to agree with you. Given that you have totally taken it out of the context it was said (I mean it was clear the previous person was making downvotes vexatiously, in place of an actual cogent argument against what I was saying.
I think you probably know that, but don't care because you disagree with me π€£ how about tackle me with some argumental substance rather than downvotes.
So, yeah, moot point. Wind your neck in mush.

In other words, you have nothing worth saying because you are too vacuous to argue your way out of the little communist hole you dug π€£
Thick.

I came here to say this. Glad someone else knows what's going on.
It's gradual. Socialism is the route to communism. The NHS, which we are all trained from an early age to worship, was one of the first big steps in socialism. Benefits too.
Do you all remember when Richard Madeley of all people called out Susan Michie for being a member of the Communist party? She was a main player in the 'behaviour science' part of the scamdemic. Do you remember how we were all pressured into performing that awful clap for the NHS gesture? That was like something out of North Korea/China, where citizens are softly compelled into worshipping the state - like those obvious crocodile tears that were shed over Kim of N Korea.
Ugh, most people are too close to it to see it but it is ABUNDANTLY clear.
I would recommend anyone to watch Yuri Bezmenovs lecture on how the west gets subverted to Communism. He was a soviet defector who used to subvert countries and bring them into the soviet fold for a living.

@Chambertin4 I wish we lived in the world you think we live in xD
The rich people who own the media want to push an ideology that stops them being able to hoarde all the wealth? care to explain how that makes sense?

Not exactly a success story but interesting fact. There are more cannabis users per capita in Communist North Korea than there are in any other country. They smoke to relieve the pain of living there.
It doesnβt work people become lazy and there will always be those who have and those who have nothing.
Argentinaβs current turnaround under Javier Milei from socialist basket case to small state and low interference is what you should be talking about. We donβt need the public sector time to slash it.
We need to get our self respect back relying on the state has made us weak and pathetic.

The only people with positive stories perished in the gulags.

I don't think you'll find any. They've tried it and hundreds of millions died. Ok in principle but man's greed quickly takes over.
yeah it's the trickery of it from the knowers side and the sheer gullibility from the mark.
"From each according to his ability, to each according to his need"
To the naive person, this quote from Marx sounds like everyone will just pull their own weight for others and everyones needs will be met.
But with the benefit of hindsight, it is clearly a recipe for slave labour/the gulag system where each man is worked to his utmost but only has his basic needs met. Pretty clear with the benefit of hindsight.
There are no luxuries. Worked to the max, as much as your body can stand and in return you are provided a concrete bed, thin blanket and bowl of gruel twice a day. From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.

We are already experiencing communism even in the modern world , it's a hybrid between communism and democracy , based on feelings and personal I , me Happiness and DEI.
Don't work , hand outs , nobody knows what a woman is , men are all monsters and rapists , everyone can be whatever they FEEL , massive division - past remembering - payouts for past events , people split into groups protesting, government is everything - Marxsism 1:1 .
You already have 6 - 7 nations that have fallen fighting for this aspect -
Argentina - down - Saved by Milei
Columbia - down
Venezuela - down
Chile - About to fall
Salvador - Down - But saved by Bukele
Australia - About to fall
USA - About to fall - massive border issues and most cities are walking dead with people zombies being poor and homeless.
UK - about to crash due to importing victimhood across all minorities , brits on mute mode not even saying anything to anyone.
Go woke in a country and your entire society crashes.
Capitalism + Merrit Based society is the only one working.
This has been in the works tho since the 90s - starting with the feminisation of men and masculinisation of women - Split up with your men , you can do whatever you want , then they wake up at 40's with a carrer , no fam and alone crying on Socials crying for a men.
Men - don't react , be soft , toxic masculinity , every reaction has been deemed as something is wrong with you.
Therapy is all processed from the perspective of a woman , so men don't go to that.
Men just kill themselves at some point due to loneliness , women keep talking and talking and move on.
This is where you are at in 2024 in the Western World's
So majority of people need to stop and go back to standards otherwise Societies crash entirely , we see the results Live ongoing
North Korea is the only one truly communist spot ON and it's only because the majority of the population simply wants to live like that , they don't know anything else , never did , not every nation is attracted to this notion of rich , poor ,progress yourself some just want to live like in a big Foster care home totally controlled.

Best example of communism... in the ground... deep in the ground with the devil from whence it came.
yet when everyone looks above and sees devils we know what cycle communism - or now capitalism - is in.
It doesn't work
Never has, never will.
The communists and socialists will tell you that " it just hasn't been done properly"
Problem is, they always need other peoples money to spend...

Communism is inherently tyrannical. History shows that. There arenβt any examples of success for a reason. It goes against the human spirit. Millions more died die to its tyranny than under the Nazis but you never see documentaries on the BBC or Netflix about Stalin, Mao or Pol Pot. Capitalism isnβt perfect by a long way but meritocracy is natural and drives progress. People to an extent sort themselves into roles and structures on natural ability and interest. Socialism just teaches people to rely on the state whilst the state gets to dictate how people think and behave. Itβs ideological tyranny on the one extreme and financial exploitation of a liberal society by the few on the other. My grandad was a carpenter and paid his subs to his union for years until he acknowledged the financial and ideological corruption that it was based on.
There has never been one.
Governments, inherently are untrustworthy, the larger they are.
More proclivity to tyranny the smaller they are - which the libertarians are blind to.
There should be a lassez faire way to govern, with a balanced and adequately sized government.
Modern progressives don't like to hear this, but capitalism has lifted the world out of relative poverty, to the extent that nothing that came before it has been more beneficial to both quantity and quality of life.
Necessary evils are all around us. We think if we are selective about the ones we talk about, then the ones we don't want to talk about will disappear for some reason.

really interested in what I've heard about modafinil does anyone have any experience with it and any good contacts to try?
Thanks.
Thanks.
GOOD LUCK but maybe a 100% sativa might be safer.

Modafinilβs side effects include severe migraine, intense fear and anxiety, excessive adrenal gland overproduction, and nausea. Serious side effects in high doses include delusions, unfounded beliefs, paranoia, irrational thought, and intense, temporary depression, possibly due to its effects on dopamine receptors in the brain, as well as allergic reactions. The amount of medication used should be adjusted in those with kidney problems, as this medication has markedly increased side effects during renal insufficiency.[14]
It is not recommended in those with an arrhythmia, significant hypertension, or left ventricular hypertrophy.[14] Modafinil appears to work by acting on dopamine and modulating the areas of the brain involved with the sleep cycle.[3]

I have not tried any of the modafinil. My treatment for attention deficits is Schedule 2 amphetamines. 70mg Vyvanse + 10mg dexedrine 3Γpd. This is max dosage, yet this combination is effective for sustaining concentration and avoiding distractions.
Let us know how modafinil treats you.

HOPE YOU ARE OK, but for your own good an alternative might be more helpful in the long run.

Is Growing Outdoor Worth It?

Is Growing Outdoor Worth It?
I have a nice spot in my garden and was thinking I could pick up a little extra coin this way. Is outdoor quality going to cut it around here?
Preparation is key start seedlings indoors pick a site that gets sun at least 8 hours or more make sure risk of frost has gone may onwards to plant out is a good bet if in UK.check out northern lights seeds by seedstockers great hardy strain and good price.
Don't use molasses to feed plants outside it will attract all the wild life and they will destroy your plants.lve learned this the hard way.
I've never understood if cannabis is a tropical plant or not. Theres all this Jamaican and Thai lore but then you have Northern Cali and Canada.
It's not a tropical plant as such, it's a weed. Just like nettles and shit. It doesn't really "belong" anywhere because weeds spread fast and will grow (to a point) anywhere. It's usage goes back thousands of years so it's been around long before the Americas had been discovered - it's earliest origins is probably Central Asia.
Defo worth it mate....
I live in east sussex and has really good luck a few years ago with a outdoor crops, got about 3oz a plant and didn't use anything just sunlight. Went to check on them once every two weeks so didn't take up any time. Just remember to raise them up indoors an use a mold resistance strain that doesn't require alot of up keep..
Good luck and would love to see a pick after your first grow

Raise them up indoors? Like sprout them then replant outside? Or once they get to flower bring them inside?
I think they mean germinate the seeds, then plant them inside, let the seedlings grow a bit before taking them outside instantly.
If you have unknown seeds, once they're more mature, I'd keep an eye out if there's any males, you wouldn't want them to pollinate your females and take away all that goodness!

Check on YouTube for a UK grower called Outdoor Warrior. That will answer your question mate :)
A couple of good strains perfect for guerilla growing in our climate are frisian duck and frisian dew, both by Dutch Passion seeds.

Get your seeds from real gorilla seeds and you will be fine. They're bullet proof plants developed by UK guerilla growers and tested in Northern latitudes.
About £6 for a feminised seed.

amazing! thanks for this! I think I checked out there site before but didn't realise they were from uk.
RGS are legends in the U.K. check out YouTube videos PANIK GROWS, that’s the legend behind RGSeeds.
Outdoor grows in the U.K. that look like it’s in Cali lol. They been doing it for over 15 years

Aw mate. all over this! thanks for sharing bud!! Not sure if the weather would have been suitable this year with all the rain (where I am) but next year i'm thinking of it for sure! love a bit of outdoor bud.
I do a small outdoor grow most years, use autoflowers, average something like 3 or 4 dry oz per plant, at 53 degrees north and 130 metres above sea level. Its easy till they start to flower, once the buds are there shake the dew of them every morning, sheet them down if its raining or misty. Never considered selling any though, just stay really baked until its all gone, save a fortune, definitely worth it, everything tastes better when you grow it yourself.
I hear you & totally agree, I have an amphetamine auto, white widow, gorilla glue and west coast og all thriving and frosting up nicely all outside growing naturally with basil, mint, coriander.peppermint and pepper as companion plants (all terps).
Couple of weeks left & I should get a nice Percy. Few photoperiods on the go as well, I hope to beat the weather. All natural all bless.
Is it best to harvest at night when all the terps are locked in? Just a thought

Do You use some nutrients for flowering, when growing outside?
I have 6 autos in my greenhouse, they are huge for autos. I think that's because they are in beds not pots.
They are 9 weeks in, I think 3-4 weeks left for flowering.
I started them in good soil mix already with nutes in it.
And I haven't added any nutes through out the grow.
Do You think it would be a good idea to add some nutes for flovering?

Little project we have at the minute, the picture is like a stoners wheres wally haha. Done completely as a hobby, none of this will ever make our LB menu lol
The buds will be loose a fuck mate, not compact in the slightest, zero bag appeal lol. First time iv done this as well, way harder than growing indoors!! Shit load of thricomes on the autos though, the photos are due to start pistolling soon i reckon :)

Good luck with it all pal, looks can be deceiving it’s a shame outside isn’t appreciated like it should be. Real sunlight is underestimated and undervalued, I suppose it’s all about the bag appeal and crazy thc levels
Cheers mate, yeah could have the highest THC level going, but if it doesnt look the part its not gonna sell! Even though it all goes in the grinder, theres no reasoning with a lot of people lol :)
Thats a lot of green!! Looking at some outdoor options myself this year so any advise would be appreciated.
Its addictive as fuck mate, you've got to have the time though and it takes a shit load of time, especially getting started.
Choosing a good spot is vital. Theres a lot to factor in such as the logistics, chances of being rumbled, the quality of the soil if growing in the ground, the amount of direct sunlight they will be getting, wildlife, water sources etc.
Unless you find good nitrogen rich soil (nettles are a good indicator) id suggest growing in pots. Buy seeds that are suitable for our climate, we used Dutch Passions Frisian Dew/Duck, Sour Diesel, Durban Poison and a couple of others i cant remember now. Dutch passion is a good choice of seedbank though.
Start the seedlings off indoors around March and veg as much as you can indoors before taking them outside.
Canna Nutrients/Advanced Nutrients are always a good choice, or you can just grow organically, you will defo notice the difference though.
Like i say, once you start its really addictive. We started off with loads of enthusiasm but had to scale back halfway through due to other commitments. If you go on YouTube and watch the likes of UK Field Ninja and a few others you can get a feel of what is possible.
Dont listen to what people say, theres massive potential for outdoor growing if you put the graft in and do it right mate. Its a myth that outdoor stuff isnt potent as well, the Frisian Dew and Durban blew our heads off, and after a good cure it smelt just as good as indoor. Granted it well never have the same bag appeal as good indoor stuff, but if its for personal consumption it will definitely do the trick.
Theres a shit load of stuff iv not touched on cos i could be typing all night, but if you want to know anything just give us a shout and we will help if we can :)

Seeing these and your post above is the final push I needed to do a bit of wild growing this year! :D
cheers for sharing mate

Get it done mate. YouTube videos help. It's all trial and error on your first but the next year is when you'll get everything spot on. Just pick your spot wisely!!
Germinate and veg indoors for a few weeks if you can, then transfer outside early/mid april. Different strains have different harvest times, late september is a good rough estimate though :)
Auto end of May, after the last frost, ready for end of Aug, would be easy for first timer. Now is ideal time of Year to explore, for a site.
Wow thats awesome!
Whats the odour like on the strains you grow outside doing the last few weeks?
Whats the odour like on the strains you grow outside doing the last few weeks?
Absolutely stinking mate. That's why the spot you pick has to be waaaaaaaa off anywhere anyone would pass. Only things about where I was were wildlife
Great information mate. The soil around my area is pretty bad so will definitely look at using pots. I’m sure I’ll be in touch if I start struggling mate.
I suspect that as long as the price is in line with the quality there would be no issues. You could also turn it into some edibles or vape juice if you were worried about the compition on indoor grown bud.
Should we get this thread up and running again in anticipation for spring?
Who's trying it this year? Been up the British mix on guerilla seeds for a while now. Anyone have experience with them?

One of my favourite sayings comes to mind.. "Better to be looking at them, than looking for them" ;) If I had the private space I would def give it a go. Ive had many successful yields, nothing to strong but sawl good....
Not on here mate unless selling dirt cheap. Pardon the pun. They call that bush weed for a reason. The light and feed / Ph is the main parts of growing to get max potency.
The natural way is too inferior in these climates sadly.
The natural way is too inferior in these climates sadly.
Outside all the way but not in uk , one of the best smokes I get every year is from Thailand it's all grown outside and if you know the right people and ask for whore ..lol.. you'll get proper bud not brickweed, my point is the right seeds ,climate and conditions will always win any battle , thai weed is strainless just the deep green and smell will make you realise why it should be grown outside
When i first read the topic, i was a bit puzzled.
Depends on where you live, climate, etc. But i think it is worth it anyways.
My 5 cents:
My opinion, and i am quite radical, is that the indoor growing should totally be cancelled.
I surely understand need and function of the indoor growing in the current mad world where nature is brutally 'illegalised', but plants that have never been kissed by the sun just don't cut it for me somehow.
Good luck with the grow brother.

Isn't "Indiana" Jones a Girl's Name?
its a perfectly decentralized system
Isn't "Indiana" Jones a Girl's Name?
It ends in A and look at "Indy" it rhymes with Cindy, Mindy and zero boys names!
It’s like Jody or Jodie, although I do know a bloke called Stacey. Is it spelt differently? Maybe I should have googled before I started writing this...

what if we let the boomers die?
just playing devil's advocate here literally. and I know there's a zillion boomers right here on lb.
but we are shutting down the planet, this is the largest mutual effort in history. the only thing that compares is oddly enough, war.
in war old leaders decide to send young people to their death, wiping them out and their many potential offspring. yet the old are especially protected. this doesn't make sense in any societal or evolutionary way it just serves the self interest of the old - who happen to be the rulers calling this shot.
now the young are called up again, in history's largest timeout they will lose finances, jobs and sanity as they are terrified into submission to save .0001 of the population, nearly all of who will die from other causes within a few years.
im not really advocating we let anyone die, i am happy to sacrifice for them further than this but lets call this what it is, the story that is always hidden. self interest from the ruling class.

I disagree strongly with the war comparison - that's not an example of a mutual effort, but the opposite: it's an example of large scale confrontation. People were called up to defend/attack from other people. MILLIONS of people died over YEARS.
This is a public health crisis, not a war. And the young haven't been called up, keyworkers, carers and health staff have. When I've been out and about with my family, it's fairly clear that the younger generations are the least bothered by what's going on, and aren't necessarily abiding by the guidelines to any effective degree.
And sadly, I don't think this is even something defined by the self interest of the ruling class. I think it's exposed the current ruling class is about as clueless as it ever had been. Johnson's flabby ensemble of random wankers have never at any point been good leaders. They got there off the back of a dishonest, divisionary Brexit campaign based on some entirely different agenda. They now have absolutely no idea what they're doing.
Hopefully it will serve as a reminder to humanity that if a democracy is to succeed, you can only back honest, able and skilled statesmen. Anyone less means we're fucked if there's any deviation from their intended narrative.
I don't blame anyone in this scenario. It's a collective human failure that it escalated to this scale. What I think matters now is the outlook, vision and ability of the leaders that might rebuild for the future. In 2019, world leadership probably never looked so weak... in the entirety of human history. And in the UK, we've currently got one of the most inept setups. BUT. Look at Starmer circling, look what we need to overcome, look what we want to build.
Give it a year or two and I think HOPE will be a usable word again. The Johnson/Trump/Bullshit breed need to move aside.

Yes but the fact that people are even looking to politicians in an era of science, free flow of information and consensus building media - why the fuck do we still have the twats?
I know my case is extreme, but its not just old people who need protecting. My son is 2 years old and immunocompromised from chemotherapy. I don't fully believe in the lockdown but it is a bit more assuring for me that it isn't running rampant out there.
You definitely have a point.
The approach of "us-versus-them' is in fact a very European way of dealing with matters.
Indifference to social position, and consequently, acceptance of one's social status no matter what it is, became somehow a doctrine and a duty in the current world (if we are honest to ourselves): it is really the ideal philosophy, an ideological superstructure adequate to peacefully govern our world, conquered with its own consent.
'The old" send "the young" to wars. Because, "the young" (well, all ages really) willingly accept, for example, army duty.
It is only natural, that in current situation, "the young" are contemplating 'retaliation'. :)
I think, the value of a human life became something very insignificant.
Young people wait on the old to die in retirement homes, old are upset with the young, that they show no respect, etc.
A vicious circle.
And we do not really value human life, because we do not understand the concept of self-worth.
Which is nowadays confused with 'pouvoir d'achat', like they say in french (ability to buy). Just look at who the majority of humans are looking up to (movie stars, ufc fighters, etc.)
The thing is, we are never independent or self-made, and we all hopefully will be old one day too. So what connects old and young is gratitude.
No life is more important than another, whether it is an old life or a young one.
And no ideology or state will defend this point at all times, speaking sociologically or/and economically. It is self-damaging to an ideology or a state.
Should we or should we not do this or that? I don't know. Each individual should decide for himself.
I know that generalising (oh those olds, oh those youngs, oh those russians, oh those arabs, oh those french, oh those - would be an insult to my own intelligence.
A boomer is different from another boomer. And i am a survivor and want my children to be survivors too.
I may be never be in a position where i can decide on a broader scale of "should we or should we not".
But i can decide on my personal level and i just value life more than i value my ego.
Here is my humble opinion.
Thank you for being brave and raising this point.
It is important to discuss without fear to offend.
That is what freedom of speech is no?

I'm going to differ on one point. I think the perceived value of life is heading up and pretty much always has.
We are in the midst of the greatest human sacrifice for the least number of lives (in relative terms) ever.
Today's wars kill fewer in total than we lost in a week in WW1 or 2.
Murder rates are way down compared to history.
The financial investment made to squeeze out a few more years is more substantial than even our most recent ancestors could ever imagine.
There's lots more stats like this, they are hard to see when media profits from perceived conflict and makes everything look cataclysmic to get your attention.

We need more youngsters in politics and less old farts creaming off the state. I think you reach an age when you start to become more selfish and want to accrue wealth. Bills and mortgages start to wear you down. I was definitely more idealistic when younger. We need to be a lot braver with who we allow to run the world and kick out the old guard. the youngsters are going to be paying off our debts for ever unless we change the system. Guy fawkes had the right idea.
I believe I am generation X but I will react anyway. It is an interesting discussion and I understand the thought behind it. The biggest issue I have with your statement is: what makes you think that older generations are not impacted by lock downs or other measures against the virus? Like we are all sipping whisky at our 2nd vacation homes. Your generation or any other is not sacrificing more then any other generation. Much love to you all
Probably fair to say they're not going to pay the bills incurred and they're not having their careers snuffed out before they've begun, they're overwhelmingly locked down in better circumstances than the young.
I'm Gen X and thanking my lucky stars I'm not still in hospitality and shared accommodation.
I'm Gen X and thanking my lucky stars I'm not still in hospitality and shared accommodation.
I'm not old (38) and I very nearly got axed by COVID. I don't have a pre existing condition. It's worth considering that many young or younger people with pre-existing conditions are at high risk, as are the disabled and many mentally ill people. The structures of society also make sure that the poor are disproportionatily affected. So, what you're proposing, hypothetical or not, is a cull on the people in society who most need our support. And, I would add, people who add a huge amount of value to our societies. I am as annoyed by how our 'era' turned out as anyone, but putting boomers to death for the greater good? C'mon. Besides, the ruling class are not all old - they have children, who will inherit. Killing old (rich) people would do nothing for society. Advocating that other (poor) people's parents and grandparents have had their time is basically inhuman, or at least profoundly lacking in empathy.
Glad you are ok bigga and your message is hella important. Can I ask do you think there was a better way to handle this? Are you happy with the whole world shutting down to protect you?
love and respect
love and respect
I don't want my parents to die any more than I want anyone else's, but the quality of life for the young is clearly being sacrificed again for the most protected generation that ever lived.
Kind of irrelevant IMO because as a species we are all doomed anyway, which I'm OK with, but it's shame we're going to take most of the biosphere with us though, as it's really no fault of theirs. We are species out of control and one which is destroying it's environment. The planet will be much better of without us humans stinking up the place!
here's what im thinking, as long as when i'm burned for fuel a billion years from now there's this little bit of thc somehow left there all that time. and it says thanks, yeah, thanks, THANKS.
Interesting read here
It does seem if we were a little more honest about this we might come up with a better solution than locking everyone up.
agree somewhat, the damage to economy is going to kill tens of thousands alone, potentially more than would be lost to Covid, but perhaps not (Not an expert by any means). I invite people to look at how many people died on average each 2010-2015 due to austerity measures and debt. Suicides will go up to.
Im in the self employed bracket its truly shit but i think society will come out of this better on the whole
I am in the same boat and i like your positive outlook.
"Have no fear for atomic energy
'Cause none of them can stop the time" - right?
We should also come out of this with as less damage and casualties as possible.
Been self-employed throughout 3 different continents and over a decade already and self-employed equals survivor to me at this point.

What if we just quarantine the old baby boomers and give them priority at hospitals, that way the rest of us can keep the world going and contsruct what they need.

It’s fucked up isn’t it, I’m in that small percentage of self employed who ain’t getting jack shit...I’d work tomorrow but not many want people in there houses now
We can only hope that this flys by and we can get back to work
Some sectors have increased in number of available positions, maybe worth looking into those sectors to get some work for the mean time

This bigga booma had it 9 months ago. I have had my first shot of the vaccine just before xmas. Three weeks ago, we had an outbreak at work... forensic mental health. We kicked the virus' arse.

There are elements that are particularly cruel for young generations that have been caused by the benefits enjoyed by older generations. Retirement / pension age is the first to mind. We all retire later if at all because they fucked the pension pot for those claiming now. Housing and land are impossible to buy at reasonable prices, because the older generation owns it all. Wealth disparity grows with extended lifespans, as the elderly hold onto it instead of spending it. But these issues are not the fault of those older generations, but the governments modus operandi of dealing the better cards in the deck to those who can vote at the time and have money. Who cares about the generations that can't support government agendas right now? No one is the answer, and it has resulted in a shit deal for the young that will only get worse as time goes on.
The chant throughout this has been that you “can’t put a price on life” which is ridiculous because we do it all the time. The NHS will not buy expensive cancer drugs unless they extend life for ‘long enough’, councils won’t spend on accident hot spots until a certain number of deaths have been er...’achieved’?!
The equation is called ‘quality adjusted life years’ and it’s frequently used to decide cost vs life. That sum has now been done for the pandemic (freaky task) and yup, it doesn’t add up. The number of quality life years saved versus those to be lost through unemployment, poverty, undiagnosed health conditions, mental stress etc are insignificant.
We fucked up. But then we’re only human....

as a 51yr old father of 11yr old twins (one boy, one girl), and reflecting on how I have myself matured (lack of!) I can honestly offer an opinion that humans may be physically capable of sexual reproduction early mid/teens, but that doesn't make them adults. Likewise 20s and even early 30s. I was a selfish prat right up to having kids. Having kids completely changes your priorities and outlook, including CONFIRMING that kids are, literally, the future. So you're right about preserving the future for younger generations. BUT if adults don't become adults (really!) until they have kids, and human kids can't look after themselves, and anyway don't mature mentally til they have kids, we come full circle, that is why you need 2 generations minimum at the same time. HTH!
I'm 27 with baby number 2 due next month. My life didn't feel lil it had much meaning before becoming a dad, I cared a lot less about everything. As for Corona it's really not a big risk to a vast majority of the population. Most of the people dying are 80+. When the people who are 80+ were born their life expectancy was like 67. They've done well. I think all lives are equal but not all deaths are tragic.

THE LIFE OF BRIAN?
This picture reminds me of the ending of The Life of Brian. Upu know...when they are all up on the crosses/ crucifixes singing "Always look on the Bright Side of Life. Have any of you seen the film or heard the song. The song is very uplifting and is always worth listening to. Bless monty python for such a Brilliant film and quite funny too. Worth getting stoned to as well!! Lol.
Ha ha you have really made me laugh. Yes I'm as stoned as shit. Amazing how being stoned gives me a different perspective on things. I'm currently munching my way through a pack if chocolate biscuits........
Oh yeah - I've hoarded loads just in case I cant get to the shop - I'm so stoned I've list the ability to walk.......
I've noticed Uber have added grocery shops so I can order munchies on demand and they leave it at my front door.... fucking hell it's like having a magic goblin......

I was 9 or 10 when first watching it and all I remembered from that first viewing was biggus dickus lmao.
HE HAS A WIFE YOU KNOW
HE HAS A WIFE YOU KNOW
nice one thanks. its amazing though - I'm quite forgetful these days but i can recite and remember every second of the film. And "The Holy Grail" of course. I have watched "The meaning of Life" a few times, but i never really thought much of that one. I have a "sick" sense of humour so i like the bit where the man says hes healed he was blind but now he could see - then falls into the hole. I doubt i need to elaborate on that scene any further, i think you will remember it quite clearly. But ive got to watch the film now I've started going on about it... ha ha...
I'm the same with python mate the films really are part of my childhood, after learning the meaning of the words it just got more and more funny as 8v got older. Now I laugh when watching the but I look for the meaning behind the jokes now. My sense of humour is also sick and very twisted like even stuff iv gone through in the past an what I'm going through now love hearing dark twisted shit about it. I find if I didn't laugh about that shit I'd cry but with the humour it really dose heal.

Interest in Peptides?
Third party verification peptides including GHRP6, GHRP 2, Imaporelin, Mod 1-29, BPC-157 and MT II to name a few.
I think you may be able to find some on here... I recall seeing some nootropics listed but I apologize as I cannot remember the vendor’s name.
I was curious to see if anyone would have interest in peptides for body composition and longevity... looks like the answer is
No thus far, lol.

Am loving this site, no more low grade weed and dealing with street dealers which put me of buying cannabis for many years. Am loving the health benefits of moderate evening use..and might make it a regular thing. I got connection problems to here regularly, and made me thing arent sites like this often under pressure to be closed by various agencies who try to put DOS on them ? And if so what backup info should I have to keep contact info for the vendors here .... or is there a mirror site which automatically goes on?
Yes there is a fork of littlebiggy called society which shares most of the data here. It requires the tor browser: http://societywcowsoak6.onion
No need to worry man, LB has been here for years. I would also like to see a back up, but at this rate there’s no need to as it’s going so smooth as hell. Anyways there’s no hard drugs on here like on the deep web, just weed a few other friendly one’s so need to worry about LB going down.

I try to pick from items with photo reviews but generally I have found it fucking good in most cases.

Hey calling customers with buys only no vendors, whats the best?? Concerned the quality is not as good as people are claiming for what I've seen.
Tbh I've had my fair share in buying from vendors, but if your looking for fast, discreet delivery and quality products i'd personally have to say Gods Connect. But i have also bought from NDWUK, UK420 and Pablosgreenhouse in the past and they were all great, apart from a few issues here and there. However, i'm guessing the other UK vendors are just as great and i will definitely be trying some of their products whenever possible.

Thepopeofdope , gods connect and radar breeder for me so far! And im completely not biased but i ain't brought from others yet

Can somebody please explain how this site works? There's no search and stuff....
It's like a fresh market, you gotta walk the aisles.
If you’re new here, let me help you navigate though Lb, although I haven’t been here for too long compared to a lot of vendors and buyers. On LB, there is currently no search option in order to allow you to search for specific products that you want. To see all the products available, click on the ‘items’ section, however you must consider that some items are hidden due to vendors’ preferences. If you need help at any stage, the ‘help’ page is to the top right of the website. The ‘topics’ page holds all topics that have been discussed by everyone who are signed up to LB, when you log in you’ll notice that the most relevant topics or most recent topics pop up first and the most talked topics will be in separate section underneath the most recent ones. The ‘people’ page is everyone’s on the site that wants to appear on search engines and on the site, some aren’t visible didn’t to them not wanting to be seen which is their preference which can be found in the ‘settings’ section if you have an account, otherwise this feature is not visible. I hope this helps!
I'm still kinda new here myself. As far as I know you just have to click items and scroll down the list. I often will scroll through the list but look for different sellers and click on their profiles to see everything they have.
I found biggy via google so I think you could possibly use google to search the site but some people have their profiles set to block search engine bots.
Hope this helps!

I just keep moving around the site until I find what I want. Be glad it is inconsistent in what the site shows you each time for security purposes.
The more I "look around" the more I see. As you buy or participate, more things will open up for you.
Good luck

This place is what people call in England a bootsale.
Iv not been here very look but I know this place now think of it like everyone has stalls with diffent bits on there you need to walk round to each one and see what they have. Look up the different vendors on the items page and i would suggest trying to stick to your own country for first few times I made a rule to myself never to buy out of the UK as it's not worth the risk in the long run. Vendor won't always be on the people page so stick with the items page.

I agree with mrsock89. I (USA) used to buy from UK vendors and got good product but it took forever to get across the pond. 3-6 days if you buy from a USA vendor and less risky, less cost, less anxiety, etc.

1 There is no escrow protection, if the seller bails or simply doesn't send the order you are done.
2 There are no reviews on messengers, so no consequences when a seller fucks up/over.
3 You don't get to build up your own reputation on the transaction since the order is not part of little biggy.
4 The little biggy community is undermined when people use it for advertising their own unsecured businesses. I appreciate having a place like this and if I can support it I do.
5 This type of behavior has a much higher correlation with fraudsters and security problems for buyer and sellers.

Why feel the need to post on my page? A new user who speaks of little biggy as if he's been here since the beginning, I'm sorry but I highly doubt this post is to assure anyone or to help, it was posted deliberately. I find it highly amusing that people like this try to discourage sales and try to undermine highly recommend vendors such as myself and a few others on here, I fear not.
I will also change how my sales work on biggy, as the system here seems to be corrupt, I'm going to only accept orders from people with at least 2 buys as to ensure I don't get bad feedback by most probably other vendors " in for the kill " or for those looking to just try and drag us down with false reviews, I have seen this with Daveyboy and a few others here. It's getting ridiculous, I say bring in the invitation only by referral codes. At least we can control to some degree.

That's not a smart move, if you were having bad actors buying your stuff to review you it would show up in reviews not posts. That clearly is not happening. And of course if they did want to do that it wouldn't be hard to get 2 sales to get past such a policy anyway.
