Cyprus is split in two. Northern Cyprus is controlled by Turkey and Southern Cyprus by Greece. Turkey invaded Cyprus in the early 70s and were only stopped from taking the entire island by the British who use Cyprus for its strategic position, having military bases on the island.

To anyone who knows Cyprus and its history, the idea that the Greeks and the Turks would get together and agree the sale of Cyprus to Amazon is about as far fetched an idea as I've ever heard, but it's a strange old world we live in these days so never say never I guess.

I'm no economist but this is far fetched for many reasons not just the economics.

I agree due to the turkish occupation of the north it makes the whole thing near impossible, but internationally the northern part of cyprus is seen as being under illegal Temporary occupation by the turkish & the island is neither greek or turkish, its only reconsidered as the republic of Cyrus. Amazon could theoretically purchase the Republic of Cyprus and remove the illegal occupants in the north by force after the acquisition, asthey would need to form some sort of military anyway in order to hold claim over their newly claimed territory.

However overall i think this would be very unlikely & I agree that the north and the south being divided makes this situation near impossible, but a interesting topic to discuss:)

Used to make me sad when i went to Cyprus as a kid, and you could look through the UN post in Nicosia and see half the city pretty much abandoned. Southern Cyprus is a independent state but is obviously hugely influenced by Greece.

From either Protaras or further down in Agia Napa you can get a boat up the east coast as far as allowed to see the ghost town/city of Famagusta (a hugely popular beach resort in the 60s and 70s), which is basically right on the north south divide and was therefor abandoned.

Since we went on the boat (around 2002) the Turkish authorities have become much more accepting of tourism, but back then you couldn't cross from south to North and just had to look at the city through binoculars either from a boat or the UN border posts.

Ive heard there are plans to reopen Famagusta to tourism, although having been abandoned for nearly 50 years it'll probably need to be leveled and started again.

Tragic but fascinating part of history. I'm glad I saw the ghost city when I did but I agree, it was a very sad thing to see.

I bought a big one with locks and so forth and never smell a thing. Admittedly I also bought a bunch of smell proof bags that dealers use to post, so I keep lots of different varieties of hash and bud in separate smell proof bags inside the case.

I've had some stinkers, but the smell doesn't get out...

Hi mate. The Red Leb was the premium Red Leb from Drugs UK and very very strong and resinous. I'd estimate about 30% thc. I doubt I'll find another one like this one - only a few grams left now :(

I'm sorry you had a failed order from Gods Connect. They had an excellent reputation on here and I have to say their drysift was really good.

I think you need to buy some new jars mate. Airtight jars shouldn't give off any smell.

If your weed is getting dry in your jar get a humidifying stone to stick in there (or a smaller jar!) you can also use foil inside your containers to keep your weed fresh and to line any jars that might not be doing the job well enough.... (in your situation you should line your plastic with it, don't let your weed sit on/in plastic! also plastic baggies do nothing at all, air passes right through them).

You can get good jars online for a couple of quid off the online headshops though - just read the reviews first :)

Keep the jars away from light and heat too obviously, I have a nice little wooden box with my jars inside. Good luck mate!

Hey Z, cheers for the reply. Haha yeah I know, the two jars I've got have given me years of service and down to my laziness I just never replaced them lol. I do prefer keeping my green in the masonry jars though as it usually keeps the green fresh, main problem is smell.

Try not use big jars for small amounts of bud thats what causes it to dry out quicker

hey man! maybe you just need to invest in a branded jar such as kilner, they keep well sealed for years. also I cant remember the name of them but you can get a RAW clay stone on amazon, you wet it and put it in your jar and it freshens up the buds if they're too dry. peace

used marmalade jars work for me - no smell at all until the lids are removed when that funky goodness makes itself known...ahhhhhhhh.

Depends how much bud you've got there bro. I bought a "LITT" bag on amazon which is smell proof and also comes with a smell proof container. I really rate it and has the added bonus it comes with a padlock type lock where you can set a number combo to unlock it.

I just use a small Tupperware box inside a bigger Tupperware with my grinder and skins. Go on trains and have it at work too and never smell anything.

for a temporary solution I found keeping mine inside a steel thermos worked better than anything else, also made it safer to transport than glass jars when I had a bunch of flavours and needed to get across london & up to scotland on public transport for a mates stag

maybe put the weed in a bag like those heat-seal bags used by sellers or maybe small ziplocks and put the bag in mason jars with rubber/silicone seals. also try to open the jar and bag once in a while to avoid molds from growing.

Adding humidity packs may do the job for you!

I use small Mason jars (take about 7g each) kept inside a larger airtight tupperware container. I also have a few humidipaks in the larger container, works well for presevation and stealth.

Plus a use an air purifier (with active carbon filter) in my herbiest room. Can get away with vaping next to it and the smell's gone within about 20 minutes. It's a relatively expensive investment, but it'll save you on air fresheners and incense in the long run!

1 high quality thick mylar bag normally sorts the smell for me, then I just light a candle to get rid of the smell in the room, it works really well

I have a thick ceramic jar which has an airtight lid. I tend to keep it in my bedroom alternating it between the little drawers next to my bed and my wardrobe depending whos around. I rarely smell anything, and i have noticed that the ceramic over time adds to the flavour of the bud if you can leave it to chill for a while.

Obviously you should dry it out to the point where it crumbles in your fingers (i guess that depends on the bud but i wouldnt keep lower quality bud or those that are dripping with spray anyway) or at least as close to it as is possible and if your looking for long term smoke storage (eg if you buy in bulk) then like others have said you may want to add something to it to keep everything fresh. Personally i smoke too much and have never got to the point Ive needed that xD

Going on a little tangent here but I also have a little foil bags which I use for traveling. They are just like sandwich bags but are made of foil, you can pick them up on amazon or ebay and arent too expensive. There are 2 variations - a one time use which essentially sticks closed with glue and is unusable after opening or standard sandwich bag push seals for multiple uses. The glue works better at smell prevention but then in a domestic situation transferring from bag to bag would get annoying. So if you went with this way, depending on the strength of what your carrying you may want to double or triple bag. I mention this even though you didnt ask about travelling because its a quick, easy and low cost if a little temporary solution to your problem while you find something that works better for you long term. I first used this method when I used to go and stay with my girlfriend (her parents are police) and I would put the foil bags in her jewelery box and never got caught, even when her mum used to come and use her vanity mirror lol

I use preserve jars from hobbycraft, work pretty well for me. You can also get specialist stash jars on amazon etc but these are pretty overpriced imo.

Hi, I smoked joints with tobacco for over 20 years , it wasn`t till a couple of years ago i stopped, I`ve tried a few alternatives eg, Damiana, Real Leaf, Greengo, but tbh they all taste like shit, and leave a nasty lingering smell. I found that when the nicotine was completely out of my system that i did not crave for the joint....just the thc ha, if i want a joint i just make a small pure 1, but that`s very rarely these days as i`ve invested in a Dynavap the beauty of this device is that you can toke it like pipe or a joint.....best of both worlds, and also it is more of an uplifting cleaner high with vaping....hope this helps, best of luck with your journey.

I just want to echo some of what MH said as I have a similar history. The thought of moving to pure weed joints made me think of a huge increase in cost but the reason for all those spliffs in a day was the nicotine craving. Plus was I really getting high or just feeling the nicotine fix? Personally I vaped nicotine until I reduced the % to 0 over 6 months or so. Then one day just stopped vaping as I thought what’s the point? Now I pipe or joint some weed WHEN I WANT TO and actually GET HIGH!! However you manage to quit you will smoke less but get more high! Winner :)

When I quit smoking, I booked a week off work, bought a big bag of weed and a pipe, did a big shop to make sure I didn’t need to leave the house for anything, shut myself at home in my PJs and smoked myself silly. Every time I had a craving for a cigarette I blazed another big pipe of pure weed. Got absolutely caned for days and days... and came out the other end not wanted to smoke tobacco ever again!

Get a vape;) you can even vape tobacco if you can’t quit smoking it.

buy a decent dry herb vape (I recommend one with a convection oven).

- you'll get your money back eventually from not buying tobacco
- it's a more efficient way to smoke since there's no combustion
- you can use the already vaporized bud AVB for making weed butter etc

Personally I taste the weed better when vaping and it never burns your throat so you don't spend the next day coughing like you have covid or something.
That said I still prefer a joint from time to time especially with mates :)

Get yourself a nice pipe and replace the joints with pipe hits. I used to be a smoker and quit before I started smoking weed. But I used a vape and eventually lowered the nicotine dose and just eventually fucked off the vape shit. I never wanted to pick the habit back up so have always just smoked weed clean.

Like many other comments I cut out tobacco years ago, I smoke hash with a nice little pipe. Works beautifully. Now I can still go for a run while high and I’m fine.

Yes mate, just pure and crumble a small bit. You need one of them small pipes with a very small bowl and the requisite gauze In the bowl. I have a nice solid brass one where you can take the main pipe arm out and scrape it clean. Perfect. I can do my work etc have nice little hits through the day.

train yourself to smoke them pure! roll them small, take 1 or 2 draws. if nicotine withdrawels are really bad use cbd oil or vape cbd in the meantime. you'll be off it in no time bud!

You can go cold turkey or gradually reduce the amount of tobacco you consume daily. Either from a whole ciggie or tobacco mixed with your joints. The problem here is not the tobacco its the nicotine in the tobacco. If you mixed it with a joint you are still consuming nicotine so you gotta take note of it. If you go cold turkey, get ready for nicotine withdrawal symptoms like mood swings etc. You can also keep yourself motivated with stuff like this while you're smoking pure flowers and zero nicotine.

Smoked weed for 30 years in joints with tobacco +cigarettes.

Swapped fags for a nicotine vape for 5 years but couldn't find a fix for joints. Tried every pipe and tobacco substitute I could find.

Decided late 2019 that enough was enough and ditched joints for THC vape carts to vape alongside my nicotine vape.

I’m using hemp flower as a tobacco replacement, you can buy it legally online and it’s bud but without THC (try
www.cleverbotanics.com). I mix it with hash or proper weed when wanting to roll a spliff. The only downside is the legal bud can drown out any taste from the good stuff but it work the same :)

Just shifted to Vape juice (I dilute it with my normal low nicotine vape juice, its a bit more complex than smoking joints, need to consider vape wattage and PG/VG blending).....

Do this alongside some edibles and you get
- No Cravings for fags
- Slightly delayed and weaker hit from Vape Juice, but enough for day to day
- Top up with some edibles. BY FAR THE BEST I have seen so far are the Chuckles Range. Best Tasting, and good range that hit the spot and last a while.

NOTE: Weed is cheap, Edibles are good value, vape juice is expensive, but you aren't buying cigarettes and your lungs are much much clearer.

vaping dry herb is decent. i stopped smoking that way- these days if i still fancy burning weed i’ll just roll a joint with no tobacco and take a few hits at a time. Alternatively, i’ve found the dryness and subtle odour of thai red string means it makes perfect roll ups without the need for tobacco- not too strong, i smoke them often and they just look and smell a little like tobacco to any passer by...
