Your best chance of getting your money back is to raise a dispute (opens 9 days after ordering, I believe). You should get most of your coin back. You can also raise a late dispute if the dispute window has closed.
I have also seen people have some success by posting on the vendors wall.
If you are concerned about being new and not having enough orders, I suggest you try messaging the vendors before you purchase, I did that before my first few buys and the vendors were all cool about it.
