Morning all, bad news I'm afraid.
It would appear bitpanda has begun to fully enforce the travel rule which came into effect 30/12/24. Entering any name and wallet host appears to no longer work. Bitpanda is now fully reviewing transactions (maybe a proportion I don't know) and demanding the full legal name and date of birth of the transaction counterparty (recipient).
Here's the email I got from bitpanda support when I queried:
"We are contacting you regarding one of your recent crypto transactions on the Bitpanda platform.
To help us investigate and resolve this transaction as quickly as possible, please provide us with the full legal name of the transaction counterparty (recipient/sender). In accordance with the Travel Rule regulations, we are required to implement strict security measures for all crypto transfers. You can find more information about the Travel Rule and its requirements in our FAQ.
Please note that without the required information, we will not be able to proceed with the transfer. We kindly ask that you reply to us within 3 days, otherwise, the transaction will be cancelled.
We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation and understanding. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via our contact form.

Ah that’s annoying mate - what I’m doing is just sending it to an anonymous Exodus wallet first (twice the sending fees but no scrutiny or hassle). And putting down the recipient as myself of course, “self-hosted wallet”. After that, no one checks - I can send to LB. Gives me peace of mind as all the Bitcoin platforms are getting twitchy these days ;). I’ve heard of people having their Coinbase accounts shut down for sending to LB.
Anyway, glad it finally went through for you! But I’d def recommend using a free wallet like Exodus from now on.
Oh and just one tip - I can’t seem to send Bitcoin on the mobile version of Exodus, only the desktop one.

Also remember to check the sending fees on Exodus, and buy a little extra bitcoin for sending from Exodus to LB - I only say that because I’ve been caught out by that more than once ;((
Been doing it this way a while now . A small extra fee but worth it for hassle free transactions. Only difference being I use the exodus app through my phone no problem.

Just to add my voice to this, here is my process:
1 - Send money from the co-op bank to revolut account
2 - Send money from revolut to moonpay
3 - Buy BTC on moonpay
4 - Send BTC to my Nimiq wallet (completely decentralised wallet, it can hold BTC but I cannot buy BTC from there, BECAUSE it is completely decentralised and p2p, UK won't allow such anonymity.
5 - Send BTC from Nimiq to LB

It's not that it is dumb, but it may stop working for you in the near future. There is a massive crack down of privacy and anonymity "all fdid you get a look at it or your SAFETY people" (it isn't, that's just the party line, and it doesn't matter which party either, they are all owned by the same group of.....people?). It's good to know about it, be aware, have a back up plan in case the usual avenues get difficult.

Most welcome lovely. I'm only two years into it and I've already seen massive concerning changes. I used to be able to buy bitcoin with my bank card, without ID, not any longer. And the restrictions increase. Anyone would think there are a faction of psychopaths on this planet who really feel it is their right and DUTY to control the plebs. Ahem.
Just as an update for anyone who has similar, All went through in the end, I just gave bitpanda my own date of birth and name (which they must already have?) and they agreed to put it through. Fuck knows?

The reason why they want your name and DOB is becuase starting this year Exchanges which operate on a KYC basis in the UK will report to the Taxman.
It's already the case with e-sales and many of us have been burnt.
As I said before I do not want to link to Giv sites from LB but if you do a bit of research you will see that potentially the Taxman could investigate your crypto activity and ask to see all transactions all the way into non-KYC wallets.
I've personally shut down my Revolut account at this stage to keep it safe and I'm living on my stash for the time being.

Furthermore above a certain threshold it is subjected to capital gains tax AND they've halved the allowance AGAIN and it is now 3K£.
Can you imagine: being asked to show all your crypto transactions so that they can see where you sent it AND on top of it they would tax you on the spend. BIG TROUBLE.
Some will cross their fingers but I wouldn't chance it. Better safe than sorry.
They've been going after regular online sellers lately and they use AI to analyze Ebay/Vinted/Facebook listings to spot stealth traders.
If they start doing that with info sent to them by UK approved Exchanges they're going to be some casualties.

I can't pay for an order? When I hit pay, having put in address and shipping as always, nothing happens. If I hit pay again it says "field required" next to the lines of address even though they are complete?

Really, what is wrong with people? Who thought using flesh eating animal tranquilizers to pull the old switcheroo on a bit of THC in a vape was a good idea? There's some fucked up chavvys about.
Personally I don’t think it’s a ‘switcheroo’- I think it’s being sold for what it is as a heightened experience and at a cost premium (d9 distillate is so cheap now most substitutions make no commercial sense).
That does not make it a good thing. These vapes can still find their way into the hands of inexperienced users and are clearly dangerous but drug ‘cocktails’ are unlikely to go away and this gives the press yet another excuse to demonise cannabis use…

Which is why prohibition makes no sense in terms of consumer safety - we end up with this dangerous stuff being peddled. Fucked up situation, nobody should have this health risk hanging over them for simply trying to get stoned.

Hi everyone, I've been on bitpanda for years with only the occasional hiccup.
Tried to buy £50 odd quids worth of BTC today and it says I haven't completed an appropriateness test?
This is in the app, it feels like the test should load but nothing happens? I can't find the test anywhere on the website or app.
Any ideas? Would rather not wait an age for their support to eventually reply.

Had to do this aswell today.
When you open the app you should get a pop up with a toggle button. Hit the button, click continue and it will take you to the test.

I had a winge at bitpanda about all this yesterday and was a bit curt with one of their customer service bods. Felt bad about it this morning, as it's not the customer service dudes fault, so sent him a message apologising and they credited me €5 as a gesture. So fair play to bitpanda and Nick from their customer service team.
Hi, that sounds like a pain. I have a verified acct with Bitpanda & just deposited £100, traded to btc then sent to my coins to a personal wallet. No 'appropriateness Test' but I also used my laptop not a mobile app. I have been queried in the past at other exchanges where payment went direct to the seller not to a wallet. Hope that helps & please let us know the outcome.
Just had bitpanda get in touch saying it was their fuck up something to do with an app update and a small numbers of customers have been affected.
I'm having the same problem. I'm able to deposit onto bitpanda but the I can't trade anything. Keeps saying I'm forbidden to trade anything until I complete an appropriateness questionnaire. I also been using bitpanda for years with minimum problems and can't find questionnaire anywhere
I think, according to dope dad, a pop up with the questionnaire should come up? I don't get anything? I'm on android are you apple or android?
Go on bitpanda.com not the app and click on cash plus or Google bitpanda cash plus and follow the website link. Fill in the questions and you are good to go again.

I woke up on the morning of November 13 wondering how the government could be overthrown and what could replace it, and then I noticed a letter from the prime minister's office. It said: "The prime minister has asked me to inform you, in strict confidence, that he has in mind, on the occasion of the forthcoming list of New Year's honours to submit your name to the Queen with a recommendation that Her Majesty may be graciously pleased to approve that you be appointed an officer of the Order of the British Empire."
Me? I thought, OBE me? Up yours, I thought. I get angry when I hear that word "empire"; it reminds me of slavery, it reminds of thousands of years of brutality, it reminds me of how my foremothers were raped and my forefathers brutalised. It is because of this concept of empire that my British education led me to believe that the history of black people started with slavery and that we were born slaves, and should therefore be grateful that we were given freedom by our caring white masters. It is because of this idea of empire that black people like myself don't even know our true names or our true historical culture. I am not one of those who are obsessed with their roots, and I'm certainly not suffering from a crisis of identity; my obsession is about the future and the political rights of all people. Benjamin Zephaniah OBE - no way Mr Blair, no way Mrs Queen. I am profoundly anti-empire.
There's something very strange about receiving a letter from Tony Blair's office asking me if I want to accept this award. In the past couple of months I've been on Blair's doorstep a few times. I have begged him to come out and meet me; I have been longing for a conversation with him, but he won't come out, and now here he is asking me to meet him at the palace! I was there with a million people on February 15, and the last time I was there was just a couple of weeks ago. My cousin, Michael Powell, was arrested and taken to Thornhill Road police station in Birmingham where he died. Now, I know how he died. The whole of Birmingham knows how he died, but in order to get this article published and to be politically (or journalistically) correct, I have to say that he died in suspicious circumstances. The police will not give us any answers. We have not seen or heard anything of all the reports and investigations we were told were going to take place. Now, all that my family can do is join with all the other families who have lost members while in custody because no one in power is listening to us. Come on Mr Blair, I'll meet you anytime. Let's talk about your Home Office, let's talk about being tough on crime.
This OBE thing is supposed to be for my services to literature, but there are a whole lot of writers who are better than me, and they're not involved in the things that I'm involved in. All they do is write; I spend most of my time doing other things. If they want to give me one of these empire things, why can't they give me one for my work in animal rights? Why can't they give me one for my struggle against racism? What about giving me one for all the letters I write to innocent people in prisons who have been framed? I may just consider accepting some kind of award for my services on behalf of the millions of people who have stood up against the war in Iraq. It's such hard work - much harder than writing poems.
And hey, if Her Majesty may be graciously pleased to lay all that empire stuff on me, why can't she write to me herself. Let's cut out the middleman - she knows me. The last time we met, it was at a concert I was hosting. She came backstage to meet me. That didn't bother me; lots of people visit my dressing room after performances. Me and the South African performers I was working with that night thought it rather funny that we had a royal groupie. She's a bit stiff but she's a nice old lady. Let me make it clear: I have nothing against her or the royal family. It is the institution of the monarchy that I loathe so very much, the monarchy that still refuses to apologise for sanctioning slavery.
There is a part of me that hopes that after writing this article I shall never be considered as a Poet Laureate or an OBE sucker again. Let this put an end to it. This may lose me some of my writing friends; some people may never want to work with me again, but the truth is I think OBEs compromise writers and poets, and laureates suddenly go soft - in the past I've even written a poem, Bought and Sold, saying that.
There are many black writers who love OBEs, it makes them feel like they have made it. When it suits them, they embrace the struggle against the ruling class and the oppression they visit upon us, but then they join the oppressors' club. They are so easily seduced into the great house of Babylon known as the palace. For them, a wonderful time is meeting the Queen and bowing before her presence.
I was shocked to see how many of my fellow writers jumped at the opportunity to go to Buckingham Palace when the Queen had her "meet the writers day" on July 9 2002, and I laughed at the pathetic excuses writers gave for going. "I did it for my mum"; "I did it for my kids"; "I did it for the school"; "I did it for the people", etc. I have even heard black writers who have collected OBEs saying that it is "symbolic of how far we have come". Oh yes, I say, we've struggled so hard just to get a minute with the Queen and we are so very grateful - not.
I've never heard of a holder of the OBE openly criticising the monarchy. They are officially friends, and that's what this cool Britannia project is about. It gives OBEs to cool rock stars, successful businesswomen and blacks who would be militant in order to give the impression that it is inclusive. Then these rock stars, successful women, and ex-militants write to me with the OBE after their name as if I should be impressed. I'm not. Quite the opposite - you've been had.
Writers and artists who see themselves as working outside the establishment are constantly being accused of selling out as soon as they have any kind of success. I've been called a sell-out for selling too many books, for writing books for children, for performing at the Royal Albert Hall, for going on Desert Island Discs, and for appearing on the Parkinson show. But I want to reach as many people as possible without compromising the content of my work.
What continues to be my biggest deal with the establishment must be my work with the British Council, of which, ironically, the Queen is patron. I have no problem with this. It has never told me what to say, or what not to say. I have always been free to criticise the government and even the council itself. This is what being a poet is about. Most importantly, through my work with the council I am able to show the world what Britain is really about in terms of our arts, and I am able to partake in the type of political and cultural intercourse which is not possible in the mainstream political arena. I have no problem representing the reality of our multiculturalism, which may sometimes mean speaking about the way my cousin Michael died in a police station. But then, I am also at ease letting people know that our music scene is more than what they hear in the charts, and that British poetry is more than Wordsworth, or even Motion. I have no problem with all of this because this is about us and what we do. It is about what happens on the streets of our country and not in the palace or at No 10.
Me, OBE? Whoever is behind this offer can never have read any of my work. Why don't they just give me some of those great African works of art that were taken in the name of the empire and let me return them to their rightful place? You can't fool me, Mr Blair. You want to privatise us all; you want to send us to war. You stay silent when we need you to speak for us, preferring to be the voice of the US. You have lied to us, and you continue to lie to us, and you have poured the working-class dream of a fair, compassionate, caring society down the dirty drain of empire. Stick it, Mr Blair - and Mrs Queen, stop going on about the empire. Let's do something else.

I woke up on the morning of November 13 wondering how the government could be overthrown and what could replace it, and then I noticed a letter from the prime minister's office. It said: "The prime minister has asked me to inform you, in strict confidence, that he has in mind, on the occasion of the forthcoming list of New Year's honours to submit your name to the Queen with a recommendation that Her Majesty may be graciously pleased to approve that you be appointed an officer of the Order of the British Empire."
Me? I thought, OBE me? Up yours, I thought. I get angry when I hear that word "empire"; it reminds me of slavery, it reminds of thousands of years of brutality, it reminds me of how my foremothers were raped and my forefathers brutalised. It is because of this concept of empire that my British education led me to believe that the history of black people started with slavery and that we were born slaves, and should therefore be grateful that we were given freedom by our caring white masters. It is because of this idea of empire that black people like myself don't even know our true names or our true historical culture. I am not one of those who are obsessed with their roots, and I'm certainly not suffering from a crisis of identity; my obsession is about the future and the political rights of all people. Benjamin Zephaniah OBE - no way Mr Blair, no way Mrs Queen. I am profoundly anti-empire.
There's something very strange about receiving a letter from Tony Blair's office asking me if I want to accept this award. In the past couple of months I've been on Blair's doorstep a few times. I have begged him to come out and meet me; I have been longing for a conversation with him, but he won't come out, and now here he is asking me to meet him at the palace! I was there with a million people on February 15, and the last time I was there was just a couple of weeks ago. My cousin, Michael Powell, was arrested and taken to Thornhill Road police station in Birmingham where he died. Now, I know how he died. The whole of Birmingham knows how he died, but in order to get this article published and to be politically (or journalistically) correct, I have to say that he died in suspicious circumstances. The police will not give us any answers. We have not seen or heard anything of all the reports and investigations we were told were going to take place. Now, all that my family can do is join with all the other families who have lost members while in custody because no one in power is listening to us. Come on Mr Blair, I'll meet you anytime. Let's talk about your Home Office, let's talk about being tough on crime.
This OBE thing is supposed to be for my services to literature, but there are a whole lot of writers who are better than me, and they're not involved in the things that I'm involved in. All they do is write; I spend most of my time doing other things. If they want to give me one of these empire things, why can't they give me one for my work in animal rights? Why can't they give me one for my struggle against racism? What about giving me one for all the letters I write to innocent people in prisons who have been framed? I may just consider accepting some kind of award for my services on behalf of the millions of people who have stood up against the war in Iraq. It's such hard work - much harder than writing poems.
And hey, if Her Majesty may be graciously pleased to lay all that empire stuff on me, why can't she write to me herself. Let's cut out the middleman - she knows me. The last time we met, it was at a concert I was hosting. She came backstage to meet me. That didn't bother me; lots of people visit my dressing room after performances. Me and the South African performers I was working with that night thought it rather funny that we had a royal groupie. She's a bit stiff but she's a nice old lady. Let me make it clear: I have nothing against her or the royal family. It is the institution of the monarchy that I loathe so very much, the monarchy that still refuses to apologise for sanctioning slavery.
There is a part of me that hopes that after writing this article I shall never be considered as a Poet Laureate or an OBE sucker again. Let this put an end to it. This may lose me some of my writing friends; some people may never want to work with me again, but the truth is I think OBEs compromise writers and poets, and laureates suddenly go soft - in the past I've even written a poem, Bought and Sold, saying that.
There are many black writers who love OBEs, it makes them feel like they have made it. When it suits them, they embrace the struggle against the ruling class and the oppression they visit upon us, but then they join the oppressors' club. They are so easily seduced into the great house of Babylon known as the palace. For them, a wonderful time is meeting the Queen and bowing before her presence.
I was shocked to see how many of my fellow writers jumped at the opportunity to go to Buckingham Palace when the Queen had her "meet the writers day" on July 9 2002, and I laughed at the pathetic excuses writers gave for going. "I did it for my mum"; "I did it for my kids"; "I did it for the school"; "I did it for the people", etc. I have even heard black writers who have collected OBEs saying that it is "symbolic of how far we have come". Oh yes, I say, we've struggled so hard just to get a minute with the Queen and we are so very grateful - not.
I've never heard of a holder of the OBE openly criticising the monarchy. They are officially friends, and that's what this cool Britannia project is about. It gives OBEs to cool rock stars, successful businesswomen and blacks who would be militant in order to give the impression that it is inclusive. Then these rock stars, successful women, and ex-militants write to me with the OBE after their name as if I should be impressed. I'm not. Quite the opposite - you've been had.
Writers and artists who see themselves as working outside the establishment are constantly being accused of selling out as soon as they have any kind of success. I've been called a sell-out for selling too many books, for writing books for children, for performing at the Royal Albert Hall, for going on Desert Island Discs, and for appearing on the Parkinson show. But I want to reach as many people as possible without compromising the content of my work.
What continues to be my biggest deal with the establishment must be my work with the British Council, of which, ironically, the Queen is patron. I have no problem with this. It has never told me what to say, or what not to say. I have always been free to criticise the government and even the council itself. This is what being a poet is about. Most importantly, through my work with the council I am able to show the world what Britain is really about in terms of our arts, and I am able to partake in the type of political and cultural intercourse which is not possible in the mainstream political arena. I have no problem representing the reality of our multiculturalism, which may sometimes mean speaking about the way my cousin Michael died in a police station. But then, I am also at ease letting people know that our music scene is more than what they hear in the charts, and that British poetry is more than Wordsworth, or even Motion. I have no problem with all of this because this is about us and what we do. It is about what happens on the streets of our country and not in the palace or at No 10.
Me, OBE? Whoever is behind this offer can never have read any of my work. Why don't they just give me some of those great African works of art that were taken in the name of the empire and let me return them to their rightful place? You can't fool me, Mr Blair. You want to privatise us all; you want to send us to war. You stay silent when we need you to speak for us, preferring to be the voice of the US. You have lied to us, and you continue to lie to us, and you have poured the working-class dream of a fair, compassionate, caring society down the dirty drain of empire. Stick it, Mr Blair - and Mrs Queen, stop going on about the empire. Let's do something else.

I process data on a large quantity but manually. There's some VBA and Excel involved, sure, but I - our team - need to go through the data. This is because of manual checks required on the potential products. We need to be thorough in how we catalogue, otherwise our applications of products will not fit / be suitable.
Could it be better performed through AI? Perhaps. Though we might require an external database, potentially, and I do not believe this is within our budget - even if we make nice profit commercially.
There is also, as another has touched upon already, decision making. We've tested it. Believe me. Is it infirm and incapable of making choice? Nope! It isn't as terrible as I'm making it out to be. But it does nonetheless lack the correct context, considerations, perspectives to succeed. I have no doubt this could change, though.
I worry that it will struggle to lead people. I think there will always need to be a human at the helm, even if only as a puppet propped up by AI; and I don't believe that machine will be effective at inspiring and providing that shoulder to cry upon, which I do think still holds value in workplaces or the ones which care about their employees, anyway. But I think AI will overcome this hurdle too at some point.
And which job will become immune, totally immune, I cannot say. It is hard to predict the future when it is so ever-changing.

I've looked at AI agent demos in our industry. I expect they'll start taking over admin roles pretty soon. They can make phone calls, log into systems, pass 2FA and human captcha. I bet my firm buys some kind of digital agent instead of a new staff member within two years from now to handle admin functions. It'll work 7 days a week, never get sick or take holidays. It'll never turn up hungover on a Monday. It'll just do it's admin. Once proven other roles will follow. Including mine. Probably the safest jobs are manual labour. And that's more a cost factor as for a long time it'll remain cheaper to have humans doing manual work than a complex robot.
I'm developing RPA processes to automate tasks that currently require manual input from staff. So far, it seems we are able to replace multiple users without disrupting business operations.
For now, decision-making remains a task for humans.
Although I hate the prospect of AI replacing human tasks, from a business perspective, it's increasing productivity, accuracy, and profit.
In the end, no job will be safe, not even mine.

Wu Tang Clan - Enter the Wu Tang (managed to see them in NYC for Rock The Bells 2010 performing the whole album was a dream comes true) and the second best album for me would be Gang Starr - Moment of Truth
finally someone said Blue Lines. It's odd because in a lot of ways musically I don't rate it highly, it's kind of clumsy in parts, some of the ideas are underdeveloped, some of it almost makes me cringe. But there was just something so special about that time and the sound felt so new and yet familiar. Even though their later stuff is "better" Blue Lines has such a permananet special place in my heart.

utterly brilliant albumn Dubside, saw them do the 10th aniversary tour playing the whole albumn live its was epic.
I can safely say that Appetite for Destruction is the album I've listened to the most. Carousel by Subcircus has had well over 20 years love from me as well

Never heard of either band before this shout. I listened to Epic Garden Music this morning on a hike and it's fantastic love the use of the keyboard and you can really hear early elements of shoegaze taking shape on tracks like "Lope" and "ART".. This is a very good band crisp.. Try listening to Soul Mining and Dusk by The The and tell me what you think. Anyway stay cool compadre.

Totally agree with this, feel terrible for his family especially his children, no child should lose their father in such a horrific manner. However stirring conflict while being unashamedly bigoted and pushing a pro gun agenda is inevitably risky and incredibly irresponsible. Definitely not lemon haze for me. I find it too heady. I've had blue cheese a while back which was a lovely trip down memory lane as was the white widow I wrote about recently. I like it when some of the old strains pop up on LB and genuinely think many have interesting characteristics we've lost from lots of the modern kush / gelato crossed strains.

Bought 7g of my favourite Green for £80 after buying £110 worth of bitcoin I was left with a tenner so that’s 25% on my purchase :(( I thought Coinbase had stopped their astronomical fees. Really wanted something for the holidays so after being very hesitant I went through with the purchase. Any suggestions for easy platforms that don’t require a passport.

BTC development team do not want BItcoin to be used as currency. This site must look at alts if it wants to provide an effective service.
This site should add BCH as an option. It's the same as BTC but has fees under a few cents and sends very quickly just like BTC used to before it stopped scaling.

I use crypto.com and the fees has always been the same around £20 no matter how much I’m sending. I know it’s a lot but I try to keep orders to a decent amount to compensate for that.

Because of slow or no change for certain groups there is an attempt to accelerate that change from an evolution to a revolution. People will only be backed into a corner for so long whatever their political inclinations. Some people think they're pushing for positive change but real change is when we've learned the lesson.

Well the statues are an example. They are subjects for posterity but they also memorialise history and certain points in history. As such they connect themselves to that history.

BitPanda recently changed criteria and asks for Recipient Name and Wallet Host. I made one order with that new setup, and made up a name for the Recipient and set Wallet Host and that worked fine. But last month they added Host Name, and when I just put something random in there, that's where I think it ficked everything up. Any ideas anyone? I don't fancy losing another wedge of BTC to who knows where that sht goes. Thank you in advance!

Sorry I'm a bit dense with all this stuff, does this work because electrum is an offline wallet? Do they not ask for the recipient name etc? It's just what bitpanda said to me made it sound like a regulatory change. Thanks in advance.
I've just stuck a post up about this. Bitpanda are demanding I give the recipient's legal name and dob for them to send my BTC. Might be time for a new wallet. You can read what they sent me in my post.

Slightly pressed, not heated, crumbles like heaven, maybe a bit too crumbly. 100% clean cannabis product. Had to keep some bits and pieces for the personal smoke stash.

Totally get that, I was gutted when I had to ask my old dealer when I seen the price of the bitcoin fees but I can’t justify paying upwards of €15 just for a fee.
It’s not as if it’s happened before the only difference now is people are going to find alternative sites which sucks as LB has been awesome.

I for one love this site but it’s becoming harder and harder to utilise the brilliant products on here and community due to bitcoins instability and proven track history of being unreliable on this site.
It is also getting to the stage where it’s becoming too expensive for vendors and profits are being eaten up by transactions fees alone.
Instead of little biggy being that website everyone remembers as being “imagine how good that could have been” and continue to expand the community by allowing better accessibility for payments.

I have a post up looking for a dev in this matter. It's been up months with no replies. I spoke to admin, I have the requirements they say is needed before testing. The Admin are more than happy for alternatives if they can be proven. Anyone know how to write smart contracts in solidity with immutable logic?

I'm the same. I've even had a look at what's involved and it's way above my pay grade. If I can get a good dev, I can probably get the mods and run it. There's obviously a monetary incentive through the fees.

FOR i think the only way they will add new payments is if the Vendors went on strike, especially the big vendors on here, if that does not work nothing will, but i think thats what should be done for the greater good, if it means after all parties either save or make more money in the long run it surely is worth the sacrifice.

I think you have failed to see what it is people want here, I’ve read down your comments, it’s not about the removal of BTC at all it’s about alternative.

I would prefer to pay in bit coin but at times like this I would also like to save what money I have and use a cheaper coin to allow for a more accessibility when it comes to payment and not just one.

The issue is biggas fail to mention btc went up by 24.8% in the last 30 days .. and of course day traders are trading the shit out of btc hence the high fees/ delays and etc..
You inconsistent biggas only complain when btc fees are high but are all quite when fees are cheap and normal..

it's not about jumping ship at all it's about having other options so we can continue to use this market when BTC fees render this market useless which has been over a week now, i can list off about 10 vendors that want other options like LTC or monero, if we were using LTC i would have about £500 a year extra to spend on here that isn't lost in BTC fees!
and a simple solution to your problem would just be to put in your manifesto that you only accept BTC no other coins, all orders in other currencies will be cancelled

The thing is you can receive your funds in an alternative coin with low fees and faster transactions for the buyer, then swap it into BTC if you wanted BTC.
Hypothetical. You get £150 worth of ETH for the order and the buyer has only paid £152 total to pay and transfer funds for the order. Once funds are released to you , you can swap the £150 worth of ETH into BTC if you don't want it in ETH
If they paid using BTC that £150 order would cost them £180 , but you will still only get the £150 worth of BTC in the end. It costs the buyer an extra £30 just for using BTC. Not only is this not sustainable for the buyer but it's also not good for your business as it puts people off buying when fees are this high.

Almost all crypto apps have swapping features built in, it takes seconds to swap thousands of dollars , you literally input the amount and click swap. It would take less time than the message you just typed out, yet saves your customers huge amounts on fees.
The few seconds it takes you to do the swap would be far outweighed by the increase In orders you would receive , and money you would make, if an alternative coin was accepted on here.

BCH would be a real choice for this website however to replace or sit next to BTC for payments. BCH fees are tiny in comparison!

It's not just about the fees I would much prefer to use a privacy focused coin like monero. There are chain analysis companies tracking every bitcoin payment

The rise in bitcoin fees is ridiculous, I just tried to send bitcoin over to pay for some items and btc network wants £30 in network fees, fuck that!
There are other cryptocurrencies out there that cost £0.00 to transfer, crypto's like XLM and XRP charge a fraction of a penny even when the network is busy.
Buyers and sellers are suffering because of the bitcoin network fees so why dont the devs of this website make some edits on this littlebiggy so that we the customers can pay in XRP/XLM?

Yep, I just bought some shake for £60 and had to pay £30 in network fees (50%!!!). Something needs to be done asap as people will start looking elsewhere. This should've been sorted already tbh the fees aren't going anywhere...

So yeah I agree the fees are getting ridiculous and I about had a stroke when I had to add currency twice just to pay the fees. So i started using a wallet that tells you the fees upfront which is still crap but at least i know the damage before hand.
I don't mind paying some fees and mine only ended up being $20 thereabouts. A month or two ago I think for the same amount it was only $10 so yeah LB needs to allow us the use of less popular crypto before everyone rages and destroys things...well ok maybe that was just me lol

I was just about to order some hash for Xmas from Green Avenger Weed and had to cancel the order due to the insane fees Bittylicious are charging! Wtf is going on, it's completely unreasonable, and fucking over the buyer and seller retrospectively. We as buyers will be priced out on LB, certainly not paying a Q in fees! I've always used LB, and generally pay maybe £5 - £6 in fees which i can justify, but not these extortionate rates, they can fuck right off. If this continues, it's going to be bad news for the sellers. Local plug it is for Xmas.

Getting annoying now as today (18th) is probs about the last day to order if you want it definitely guaranteed before xmas, although I haven't noticed my post slowing down yet tbh.
The fees had been going down since last night, where half as much this morning as yesterday thought holding out a little longer would see them come down some more but nope ofcourse not they've gone right back up even higher! If you catch any sort of break biggas just take it while you can!

Glad im not the only one outraged. Grabbed half blue cheese half shake and a vape and had to pay 30 in network fees which is beyond a joke. Came to 38 in total with coinbase fees buying coins/ sending.
Paid the same in nov but was only buying shake so could allow it but it’s ridiculous. Won’t use LB again till it’s lowered and I suggest ppl boycott. Only grabbed off here as im out in the sticks and cars in the garage. Won’t be back till it’s sorted. What a shame..LB was a lifesaver in lockdown

I use electrum to send BTC - this gives quite a bit of flexibility on how to pay the fee - you get 3 options and a slider.
I paid about £9 today on £200 which cleareed in about 30 mins.
I could have paid about £30 if I had chosen one of the other methods.
Also pays to look at the mempool which tells you the current rates:

Has any one tried revolut, really simple to add and send to bct address, I ordered £200 of stuff and only charged me £8 fee in total
i use revolut and the ability to use the QR code is useful , fees can be OK but they seem to vary however like you I think its very simple , just remember to delete the wallet number that you have transferred to once the order is sorted or you could potentialy send to it again in error.
If you pay 9.99 a month for the revolut plus, you got loads of benefits, including cheap crypto fees, the most I’ve probably paid is £10, that’s buying and sending included
I ordered about 4:30 this morning to get the fees down a bit and got roughly £100 order for £23 fees. Still extortionate but a little better than yesterday where it was up to £62 in fees for the same order. It is getting silly now. Good luck everyone.
I made a $480 purchase the other day. My fees were $8.70 . That was with the rabbit speed. Turtle was about $6.80 and lightning was around $24 .

Soft hashes used in dosing capsules or with cotton bacon to protect the oven work just fine in devices like the Mighty, Crafty or PAX3. Hardhashes can be ground up with some weed.
Butane (ie using a torch lighter) allows you to go for real near combustion temperatures but that comes with a learning curve. The DynavapM and the Vapman are the best examples imo…

Thanks for this im glad ive asked this as i was looking at the mighty and tiny mighty but don't really want to be limited to what type of hash I can get to use in it.
I'm sure lots of people on here will have better advice but I use a Pax 2 and wrap the hash in a bit of black raw paper so it doesn't gunk up the chamber. Once it's good and vaped I then eat the hash....
Besides the ones already mentioned here (DV, Dani, anvil) I can totally recommend the hash pipe from chameleon glass! Manual vape, full glass and function-wise very similar to the good old hot-knife. Price is great too 😉

But I really have to stress the fact, that you need good/ high quality hash to really enjoy the experience. It's specifically designed for bubble hash and the like. In the beginning you may combust a couple of times, until you get the feel for it, but then its nothing but a great device 👍

Cheers for this, ive seen the dynavap before and didnt like the idea of having to manually heat it up but after hearing everyone's comments im going to look into it a bit more. Ive never been one for joints im a bong man but getting older now and need to give my lungs a break.

You should mate. I use it all the time best bit just get a WPA and still have your bongs but just no combustion. That was your still getting your bong hit. I will say that I prefer the small bubbler’s that the bongs you need a step ladder for lol 😂

For hash the best thing would be a dynavap m, the downside is that it looks a little like a crack pipe. It's a manual heat up with a lighter rather than battery powered. The issue with using an electronic vape is getting high enough temp to "melt" the hash. You need at least 200 to do anything but 210-220 works best. I use a Mighty + at 210 and love it but get a better taste with the dynavap. For hash in the Mighty +, I use a dosing capsule and some cotton bacon. When I'm vaping bud, I just use a dosing capsule.

My gravity bong is a robinsons bottle with a hole in the bottom and a bowl in the lid so doesn't look the most glamorous thing in the world. I use these because i find them the most effective thing to use to get the most out of my smoke. Ive got a glass water bong but i can smoke 4-5gs a day easily through that and I find that half the stuff in the water isnt burnt so I would say that i probably only smoke 60% of what i load into the bowl if that makes sense. With the gravity bong i need half as much and get so much more stoned off one or 2. Only thing is it gets so much resin round the mouthpiece real quickly and you can sometimes get it on your lipss or teeth which is lovely lol. Also get nostalgic using gravity bongs and hot knifes!

I remember looking ages ago forn something a bit fancy and remember seeing something for £500 or something and stopped looking (just looked and its called the Stündenglass Gravity Infuser and is £540). I cant justify paying that when i can pay £1.25 for a new Robinsons bottle and get 1.5l of juice in it too

This was one of the reasons at first i didnt really take to the idea of the dynavap (being able to use it covertly outside) but im ok using carts when im out and about.
Dynavap with single flame jet torch for hash and you can't go wrong. Not too different from the ritual of joint rolling but the flavour you get from bud and hash is night and day compared to smoking. Also the Dynavap ecosystem is huge, so many aftermarket sellers bringing out fresh new stems, induction heaters, tips and bongs.
The other thing to be aware of is that vaping is very different to smoking, when I first tried vaping, I enjoyed the high but missed the "bite" of smoking a joint. For a replacement for smoking, I think that 510 cartridges are probably a better option like are available from Doctor Terpy.

I thought I was craving cannabis but, as you said, most of the time it's nicotine. You don't realise until you've stopped smoking.
I agree with this completely, i haven't smoked with tobacco for about 15 years but i remember when i stopped using tobacco and it felt like somthing was missing. Also smoking with tobacco gives a different high than smoking pure, its less enjoyable imo.
If i smoke ingo through a half oz in 5 days or so but if i use hot knifes it lasts considerably longer so hopefully vaping will save me some money in the long run.

I enjoy smoking but im coughing a lot more recently and can feel my lungs and chest need a break so im not going to miss the hit i get as i cough nearly every bong i have now.
Maybe a Dani fusion and use a bit of degummed hemp fibre. You want something you can get pretty hot. Ball vape like a taroma would work too, even a tiny might. Anything you can push the heat on a bit.
I've got one mate, absolutely love it. Go for the fusion, it's got a larger chamber than a dynavap, you can fully extract in one or build up temp and sip those terps.

Got a crafty+ Works a treat. I wouldn’t bother with the cotton, just fill the capsule up. Got a Dyna, also works a treat. I would check out all the puffco range, not tried them, but they all look next level. Would be my next purchase for sure.

sometimes i like to just pop on an album that takes me to another world. two most recent arctic monkeys albums are great for it, i feel like i'm floating through the galaxy whenever i listen to
DJ Shadow’s Endtroducing for me. One of the few multi format albums I own that I’ve had to replace several times cos I’ve worn it out. Freaks me out that it’s nearly 30 years old, it blew my mind then and it still does now. A masterpiece of a sonic journey.
I drove 400 miles to see him DJ. Got realy high then kinda drive home 400 miles. The good old days of 1996.
I second both of these choices. I came here to say the 2nd as clearly the thread title leads anyone who knows the album to think of it. Saw them play it live about 20 years ago, and they were superb.

The original Dreamfish album was amazing back in the day. I remember getting a cassette tape copy from a guy at school and listening to it on headphones after a spliff which blew my mind. Got the CD off eBay years later and it's still good for an ambient chillout option.

For me it has to be... 88- 95 were just way too amazing lifestyle, partaking and raving wise!

Seen a lot of albums I agree with here, espicially Stone roses and Pink Floyd Dark side of the moon. Tripping on shrooms, sitting on a beanbag smoking a J while looking up at the stars listening to Dark side of the moon is just the best experience.

Should be a great listen for stoners and shroomers, has the classic UK hit Bitter Sweet Symphony. But I don't know ANYONE besides my dad who knows the other songs or even mentions them.
