I was in the same boat mate was taking half a ml of pure distilate in a capsule to feel anything and buying premade edibles gets expensive I take 10ml…

Afternoon all.
I use weed as both pain relief (fibromyalgia), and to reduce insomnia (and occasionally to get high), but I prefer edibles to smoking.
The problem I've been having is that my tolerance is getting exponentially higher and I'm currently having to take 150-200mg to get the same benefit/hit I was getting previously.
I've got no concern about the quality of the edibles as they are ones I've bought on here repeatedly and they're always top notch (they're my benchmark to compare others to).
Plus this has always happened to me. Back in my younger days I could have a smoke and pull a whitey, but a few days later I'd need to 'outsmoke' anybody in my group just to get a buzz, whilst their tolerances always stayed pretty static....
My question is, basically, what can I do about this as my bank balance won't keep up with my increasing tolerance, but it's the only thing that is keeping my pain levels tolerable?
I've tried stuff from a number of different vendors on here, and though the majority have been excellent, and some stand out above others, there have been several whose product was underwhelming, or whose lack of stealth came close to getting me in a heap of trouble (hence the throwaway in case I accidentally say something I shouldn't).
So, to the (overall) excellent biggy community, what are my options for pain relief without bankrupting myself in the process?
Should I bite the bullet and smoke as needed for a quicker hit and more instant pain relief? If so, what method as tobacco is a no go - bongs, vapes, dry herb vaporizers?
Or should I buy a good bulk of weed and have a go at making my own edibles? And if so, do you have any advice how to do it please?
Basically I just want to be a 'cheap date' ;)
And preferably one who is not in significant pain and sleep deprived.

Switch your methods up. If you mostly use edibles take a break for a week or two and smoke/vape instead. When you go back to edibles they’ll hit harder again.
I believe the way THC is processed by your body changes depending on the method of consumption. This means you can take ‘tolerance breaks’ whilst keeping your THC levels where you need them to be. Hope this helps.

Totally agree with Blazin’- the more you mix it up the more you will control your tolerance. I rotate consumption method every single day- I plan it on a spreadsheet lol🤓. Dry herb vaping is by far the most economical (keep rotating strains) but you can dab without killing your tolerance if you only do it on rotation 👍

Thc is stored in fat as opposed to other tissues, so your body will remove it at a much much slower rate than other drugs/medications - especially if you're a daily user. Remember, as you rightly experienced, less is more
For consumption, dry herb vape all the way or edibles. Edibles for night perhaps, and flower during the day for a quicker onset when needed. Avoid smoking, its habitual and you need far more flower than when using a dry herb vape
Alternatively microdose the edibles in the morning and night, and top up with flower when needed

hey maybe get some cheap shake or trim or cheap bud and have a go at doing your own edibles ? hope pain gets better
RealD stardawg trim . 1 oz around 50 quid . Unsalted butter 500 g bout 4 quid . Put half oz in 250g butter . Youtube shows u how to make it . Piss easy just time consuming . Can use it for biscuits . Pot noodles custard . Meatballs . And will get you proper high how it should be . Cant recomend it enough
