My annual christmas order went in a bit early this year, due to impending mail strikes.
Over the last few months TGD have become a but of a go to for me, especially since the seeming retirement of my previous āmainā vendor. Ive praised their range expansion over recent months, and theu continue to listen to customers, adding in a few strains available for bulk purchase. Whilst the choices are only essentially 3.5 or an oz, (i would have probably gone for a half oz if available, but glad i got an oz in the end), its still adds another arrow to their quiver. In medievil analogies, natch.
The oz i went for, was the wonderfully named Disco Biscuits. Coining the name from a popular name for club drugs in the 90s, the value (around Ā£160 for an oz) seemed excellent. As well as this, i plumped for 4 eighths, the Budget fruit punch (a second buy of this), Gelato 33, Blue cookies, and pink runtz.
After resigning myself to having to access biggy through society, due to outage issues that iām sure youāve all experienced, i thought id give the normal site a final try on wednesday morning. As luck would have it, it was back up, and so the order was placed. Despite the now standard royal mail carnage, the parcel, suffocated in gaffer tape, arrived 22 hours later. Phenomenal.
Inside were two packs. Pack.1 had 3 of the 8ths inside the usual smell proof cylinders, under a further 2 layers of stealth. All 3 weighed spot on. In the second pack was the gelato 33, in the packing advertised, and the oz of disco biscuits. The oz was a g over, thre gelato bang on.
What i really liked about the disco biscuits, was that TGD had got it to me without vaccuum packing or compressing it to hell, yet without compromising on the stealth. The weed itself is quite old school in apperance, big, light, fluffy airy buds. A joy to behold.
Taste wise, the cookies lineage is really obvious, and is the main flavour. I found the smoke very smooth indeed, and the effect, was fantastic.
For the price, i was expected something quite light, in impact, and as such, joint 1 was heavily built. That was a mistake. Halfway down, i realised that it was pretty potent, so had to slow right down. Once it settled, it was a lovely, soft, melty high - i found it more balanced than the 70/30 split suggested, but from an anxiety/sleep point of view, this seems an excellent aid.
The other two i have tried so far - the gelato 33 is a nice version of gelato, mid strength, nice flavour and effects, but the buds are very small and tight, mentioned above that they lack a bit of bag appeal, but still a nice buy. The fruit punch does what it says an the tin - a great budget option, although pales in comparison to the disco biscuits, IMO
Going back to those, ive been on biggy for 2.5 years and have tried best part of 100 strains. I can honestly say, the disco biscuits is right at the top end for the best purchase ive made on here. Standalone its probably in my 5 favourite strains, and when you factor in the price (the other favourites all cost upwards of $50 a 3.5), it really is an absolute winner.
The gentlemen dealers have, once more, smashed it out of the park with this one. Long may it continue
