Hi everyone, I've had two bad transactions over the past couple of days which meant I couldn't afford the products I was hoping to buy. I need a bit of advice...
So I use Crypto.com (app) to buy BTC and then transfer it to my wallet which is Trust (app). I've done two transactions over the past two days and the amount taken away by the time it gets into my wallet is stupid..(half the amount of what I was transferring).
I am not very experienced with BTC so hoping for some advice on what to do. I basically can't buy the thing I was hoping to now because of extortionate transfer costs (transferring from Crypto to Trust wallet).

I don’t transfer to a wallet I just send straight from Coinbase I get charged not much when I buy when I send I get charged a very little network fee somtimes free depending on the amount

Yes, so have cut them out and just bought BTC through my wallet instead (not sure why I haven't tried that before)..seems to work fine!
I also thought that charges might have been ridiculous because of the recent crash and volatility as a result. It's ridiculous though that charges can vary so much so definitely looking into everyone's recommendations for better flat rates and charges.

I've just opened the exodus wallet ,transferred only £2.80 from my coinbase account just to try it out. It was £1.09 after transfer .Coinbase to lb is 44p I think

I've seen that coinbase now do a thing for £20 a month as a premium type deal where then you don't pay any more fees. Haven't tried it. To send from coinbase to transaxe costs lest than 50p anyway, but i'd say if you usually lose more than £20 a month lo coinbase fees it would be worthwhile i guess.

Yeah I had same issues using other apps no showing extra fees im using exodus now and haven't had the same issues just checking it's sending the right amount

Same problem here. I've given up on trying to give recommendations on BTC-related posts because I always get the same 'external transactions' warning. Not sure why as the companies I mention have often been mentioned in the posts I'm replying to?!! 🤷‍♂️

I have the same problem with crypto COM , i get charged 0.0006 bt everytime i send on there, works out about extra tenner everytime!

I use coinbase to exodus wallet, or just Bitpanpa. The coinbase option is around $2 for most transactions. Bitpanda has a minimum deposit of $25 which can get a little annoying.
