Demon King (Dante’s Inferno x Gary Satan)

First of all, a big thank you to thedrbudz420 since I was one of the lucky 20 who got to sample this in exchange for an honest review. As a big fan of Tiki Madman's and Clearwater Genetics' work, I was really excited to try this one out.

Communication was excellent. Dispatch was fast and it arrived in two days with above average stealth. The branded, heat-sealed pack is a nice touch for sure. Upon opening, I was greeted with the familiar smell of Gary Payton, one of my favourite strains. Took a peek inside to see one large, beautiful-looking nug (1.6g). I let it air for a couple of hours and then popped it in the jar overnight.

The next morning I took some photos. She really is a stunner in the looks department, with a full array of dark greens/purples and bright orange pistils. The bud structure is perfect and she is quite dense, but in a good way.

Finally it was time to get stuck in. I ground the whole lot up and was met with a beautiful, deep and complex aroma. The purples really come out in the grinder. First up was a 0.9g joint with a just sprinkling of tobacco. This went down an absolute treat. Thick, lovely tasting smoke with an even burn, white ash and a nice oil ring. Very nice indeed! Demon King is certainly rubbing shoulders with some the tastiest UK buds I've smoked in the last couple of years, including from well-known UK growers using select Cali cuts. It's not the absolute terpiest I've had, but it is really, really tasty. Finally, the most important part - the stone. This is where Demon King really did it for me. A superb, full-body stone that felt like a full-indica. It completely put me on my backside for the whole morning and afternoon. Now that is my kind of stone!

Later that evening, I used 0.4g in my vape before going to the movies and the stone lasted till I got home again and then some! The taste in the vape was lovely with big cloud production, and it took a full 10 min cycle before I got any popcorn taste at all. The last 0.3g was used the following day in an ice bong and got me nicely blasted again for a few hours.

All in all, this was a thoroughly enjoyable bit of weed and I'm really happy that a talented UK grower is bringing us Biggas such exclusive cuts. I'll definitely be picking up some Demon King and Colorado Nightshifter for myself and I'm looking forward to trying the two new strains that are coming soon (Strawberry Guava and DJ Short Blueberry).

Thedrbudz420 made an offer to the biggas to try out some of their gear - for free. So being the cheapskate I am I jumped for it and wasn’t disappointed! The package arrives in style, a decent level of stealth surrounded my bud in a cracking branded and labelled bag. I was promised a gram but what arrived was closer to 1.5g. I cracked the bag and gave it a moment to breath. I’d gone for the Demon King over the Colorado Nightshifter, only because I already knew the parent strains, as Im a big Tiki Madman fan, and was keen to see how they’d blended the two together. As the smell from the bag filtered into the room I picked up on the tropicanna-esque terp profile but with dirty gassy top notes. Examining the nug i was greeted with a decent amount of colour, and a tight decent sized nug. It looks to be hps grown rather than led, which has lead to a lovely density. Not too loose but not to tight either, and not some sort of pebble, run using pgr, which is a treat. More colours appear as you grind the bud, which yields more of that great terp profile - the tropicanna vibes now giving way more to those gassy undertones. I had decided to split my 1.5g over two joints and two days so I could try and get a feel for the high. Definitely more of a creep than a slap in the face, but a creep that keep on creeping, with a warmness that grows with it. Upon smoking the gassyness and tropicanna notes subside into quite a unique flavour which hangs around to the end of the joint. The ash is generally the whiter side of salt and pepper throughout. It felt like a clean smoke, and was thoroughly enjoyable. I don’t but into the pure white ash gang 100%, as I think you can tilt those scales with cal mag and/or mg during the flush, but this ticked the boxes. Not too much to not function properly, but equally that couch is looking proper nice right now, and has that apple always looked that shiny?!! The creep keeps on creeping at a good level until it’s plateau, eyes are a little droopy and contentment sets in. The second day of trying showed me the legs on this stuff. I wasn’t skinning up the next one anywhere near as fast as usually I would. I find with a lot of the cookies heavy stuff the high gives you a wallop and you’re done. Not the case here, I’d watched an entire movie before feeling the need to go again, day dominated by the Demon King, where normally I can’t remember the strains i burn through in a day, this one has character and left a lasting memory, and a strangely unique one relative to a lot of the other contemporary strains. So unless you were one of the ones lucky enough to grab a free sample, I bet you’ve not tried this one before - so pull the trigger and give it a go! Vendor is trustworthy with stealth, branding suggests they plan to be here for a long time, not just messers. I wish them all the luck in the future, and now im eying up relentless’ Colorado Nightstalker mmmmmm! What a great selection of buds guys, and thanks!
