Woke up this morning (Friday) and its says paid. So all is good. Bitcoin can be a nightmare some times. I shouldn't worry too much. Contact whoever you ordered from. Sure they will understand what's happening 👍

Honestly I feel if these Thai vendors are ever to succeed on LB they must come to an agreement with Borgs to alter how rules are applied to them, which will likely never happen.

There is a massive opportunity for biggas here that is being spoiled by the impatient submitting disputes ASAP which flags as fraud suspected and the dispute is auto resolved while the weed is still in transit. Now the vendors down weed and funds from dispute refunds and all other funds are withheld by LB creating more issues with reinvesting into product and bribing PO officials and others.

I’ve ordered Thai from LB on two occasions, the first from Thai-Lands (this same mob) which arrived in 18 days and another with Isan Dragon that couldn’t send product but resolved this through comms no dispute needed. At the same time both vendors were inundated by disputes, fraud suspected flags and demands from biggas… poor show folks.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the dispute system, but this clearly is not working for vendors in Asia. Remove dispute option on Thai vendors and make it clear this is the case on vendor page and biggas truly order at their own risk (ordering from Thailand IS a risk in terms of time of delivery and seizure) or alter the dispute rules for these pages would be my recommendation.

You are right in that the dispute system should work but doesn’t for a simple reason. The earliest a dispute can be opened is after 9 days and this creates a new 16 day window before auto resolution which can be extended for another 16 days. That’s 41 days and if it hasn’t arrived by then it’s not coming! The system falls down because it registering the dispute % as they are opened not as they are paid out which is surely all that matters? Just needs a simple tweak really but who’s listening?🤷‍♂️

A foreign vendor has to reconcile to the fact that their cash flow is going to be slow. Honestly though, other than for a bargain why take the risk?

Not sure if it’s related but I had the same issue the other day and it turned out to be an issue with my VPN. Had to turn it off in order for the ‘send’ to go through. Soon as I switched the VPN off it worked. Never used to be an issue with Coinbase but at least it worked. Just remember to switch the VPN back on after - if you use one that is.

Tried getting small order in today, bought £80 worth from CB, £3 or so to buy, fantastic i thought, we'll be smoking tomorrow i thought, then i went to send it to my own wallet i was quoted £20.
I'll buy a little more btc tonight and see how gas fees are then, thinking about trying to send in the early hours to see if that helps.

Yup, just been charged 20 to send to my own wallet, when can we get LiteCoin ffs.

I feel so unlucky to be a Coinbase user during this time as it seems to have higher fees than any other judging by some of the quotes that I've heard people complaining about but that I'd be happy with in comparison. Finally gave in yesterday and bought a 0.5g cart with the btc I had planned to buy 2 full carts with just a week ago when fees were normal lol.

unless you're just timing it wrong with the time of day youre checking it does sound like coinbase are selectively screwing their customers somehow. fees are back to reasonable levels at the time of writing this. I stopped using coinbase after they asked for more documentation after already providing it all previously. imagine if your bank asked for that every year. clowns

26/04/2024 - if sending fees on coinbase are still high it's likely theyre choosing to screw you because the btc mining fees have came back down.

Instead of buying BTC from coinbase buy SOL which is far cheaper. Transfer the SOL to another wallet that can swap SOL to BTC. Then spend BTC on your orders so your only getting hit once on the BTC gas fees.

I bit the bullet at 15 quid on Wednesday. Just checked the fees the now and they're 20 quid. Friday 08:00

Just paid around £60 in fees on a £120 transaction. Partly my own fault for leaving the Xmas extra until now but still!!! I feel like this place won't be economically viable for most people if we are forced to stick with BTC for too much longer. People have been crying out for alternative payment options for sooooo long now. Maybe if it starts to impact LB`s bottom line things will change, who knows? Between that & Transaxe being down today so I had to jump onto Society to complete the order. The process is actually pretty stressful waiting with crossed fingers to see if your transaction is actually going to complete at the moment. PLEASE LB for the love of Green consider alternatives to BTC as it's barely viable anymore!

As a test I just looked at a dummy send of £47. I have £85 in the wallet and it won't let me send as I don't have enough for the fees, as they're currently 540 sat/vB for high priority! That's nearly double what I've ever seen it reach. Guess I'm not buying any Christmas gingerbread and Nutella!

BTC development team do not want BItcoin to be used as currency. This site must look at alts if it wants to provide an effective service.

This site should add BCH as an option. It's the same as BTC but has fees under a few cents and sends very quickly just like BTC used to before it stopped scaling.

yeah its a bit silly now. I remember it was sweet with paybis but then uk gov forced some kind of change and they left. i was using simplex to electrum after and they charged about 15 and 4 to make the payment from electrum to LB. I decided to upload my id to kraken, but its not any better, they charge 3.50 intitial then 13.60 to withdraw then 4£ from wallet to LB and worse is a 72 hour holding on first buy so you have to double up or wait. I'm relatively new to this but it thought it was bad. think the banks (which is also the gov) are trying to bring it down by some age old economic fuckery.

Wait until BTC fees go over £100 this site risks ending then if the team here doesn't act soon by offering better scalable coins for buying with.

just to say simplex charges are up to 37£!!!! man thats obnoxious. also withdrawing from kraken is an actual skill cause you need a defined amount for your wallet to gen an address, the address must be new on kraken, and then verified, and in that time the decimals have changed and its no longer the same amount. fucking stupid. I was raging when trying on friday but got there in about 10 tries.

Once you have bought btc in your bitpanda account, select ‘Send’ from the trading options, then paste the lb buy address into the prompt. Add the amount to send and a total will come up that includes the fees. OK it and click on the confirmation email they send. Coin goes straight to LB, your order updates when received 👍

Fees for my latest transaction were £221. I chose 24hr send which lowered them to £15. I posted TID to bitaccellerate and transaction was completed within a minute at the reduce fee rate.

I use crypto.com and the fees has always been the same around £20 no matter how much I’m sending. I know it’s a lot but I try to keep orders to a decent amount to compensate for that.

I’ve never had an issue sending directly.

£41 in fees on top to buy and receive just over £940 over the weekend, then £5.25 to send most of that from my wallet. Dropped to 90 sat/vB at around 2am this morning so another buy then cost £4.40 in fees to send. Funded at this level both reached 1 of 4 confirmations in under 15 minutes. You have to be very careful with lowering sats currently as it's really twitchy bum time watching that transaction live as it bounces back and then forwards in the chain as people pay more and more and the required sat/vB climbs in front of your eyes.

The only thing that can make it even vaguely bearable is buying as much as you can, and checking out from multiple vendors in a single transaction. Even then it's still a nightmare.

I've been watching it like a hawk... today was the day and I bit the bullet for £25 total gas fees. Got a big wedge of shake though, so cookie monster is happy!

Nearly smoked out after Christmas, Pol! Had to restock, and with fees the way they are it made sense to double up the coin purchase and send it in a large painful transaction. I appreciate this isn't feasible for a lot of people, but it's the only thing that makes sense to me currently. Went with a 4x 14g selection from a few vendors, couple of carts, that EE Nutella (love that stuff, and it's fun blowing some people's minds when they find out how it's pronounced, so doubly fun). Oh and some hash and whatnot too. Still have a large chunk left to spend though. Contemplating some differently formulated microdoses from a different vendor too...
