As has been said, most sativa dominant strains will do the trick. Classic Hazes will be a particularly safe bet.

However, I've noticed that how and when you consume affects the extent of the creative boost. Don't smoke or drink through the day and eat little and often (graze). Avoid caffeine. Then, when you're more naturally feeling creative (for me that's around 10pm) spark up and get busy.

You'll notice a big difference

For me strains like: Mexican Airlines and California Snow by fastbud, Brooklyn Sunrise by dutch passion, LSD and Malana by barney's farm. and many more great ones...

Yes it gets you high.... it is a different high though, less body more cerebral and clear imo.

Yeah it still smells but diff vaporisers give off doffernt smells, some still very much smell of weed some not so much so if stealth is important then take that into consideration.

Weed usage is an odd one, generally deffo a lot less but I do find myself having far more sessions with my vapes now than when I used to smoke joints, I’d say I use the same amount of weed a day but I’m stoned for a larger proportion of the day if that makes sense.

I’ve got 2 of the best vapes available right now in my view, the Mighty is a beast session vape that’s almost been able to replace joints for me and a Flowerpot desktop that just gets you fucking ripped off so little material, just my view on making the journey is pay up from day one cos you’ll end up in the end anyways... cheap vapes are shit, they’ll put you off and class all vapes as shit, exactly what I did till I got my flowerpot then I realised that combustion is actually shit. Get the best you can from day one and enjoy man.

My 2 cents is I bought a Plenty by Storz and Bickel a few year ago. Expensive but a great piece of equipment. Only draw back was short lead for plug and had to hold it all the time when using it. It is too akward design to stand itself. Great vape and effects though. After a few month got bored with hassle and went back to j's. Still would break it out for special occasions. BUT to save you hassle and cost try mjconcentates mod with vape cart. Great high same as any vape for a fraction of cost. Save you buying expensive weed on here. Ive bought 3 450mg carts in last month and been high as a kite everynight and some days. Also managed to stop smoking doobs so lungs are clearing up. The ice cream cake will put you to sleep if you take enough puffs. So I feel like that is a better option speaking from my own experience. All the best!

I bought the Arizer Solo 2... dry herb vape... the initial price is expensive but so fucking worth it man. I use way less weed (the cylinder holds 0.2) and I just take hits over a 45 minute time period and I get so so stoned. Stronger than a j, and also I feel much healthier. I also feel less sticky in the morning, for me tobacco fucks up my chemistry and I have had bad asthma as a kid, and the vape really helps.
Pros of the arizer solo 2:
Better quality high.
Long battery life.
Can use while being charged.
Wide selection of temperatures.
Use much less weed.
Tastier Green.
High is more active and less paro, I can go out and do things, after a joint im a couch potato and cant look strangers in the eye. I can also read/watch more educational stuff after the vape.
Smoke on the go, I can smoke while out and about, or sitting in my living room (I recently moved house and now in a busier location, so can smoke during the day and avoid nosey/backwards neighbours).
After a few months of hitting it, there is thc oil build up, you can make tea/hot chocolate and you'll be stoned for 8 hours. If you want the link to the recipe let me know.

Cons:
It only works fresh, like I find after a session, if I pick it up the next day and smoke, its not as good as when fresh, so it's really only good for like 1/2 days.
Its for solo smoking... so with mates ul probably go back to a joint when socially smoking.
Hard to get used to at first, I was a heavy joint smoker, and I had to fiddle with the temperature a lot before I got used to it.
Picking a joint up after the vape really fucks with your brain/lung chemistry.

Thats my 2 cents anyway. I barely smoke js now and 7gs lasts me like 1.5/2 months when before it was max a month.

Just as a comment on this. The carts are different to vaping herb in my opinion. The carts feel much more cerebral and there’s virtually no body high I find.

I tried every type of vape and the bottom line in short is distillates are the strongest to me and the least fiddling around like with dry herb or other concentrates.

My go to sativa is the lemon amnesia from radar breeder, really nice smoke, very uplifting and an all round quality high. I always stock up when I see it advertised! Decent price too, I think it's around £65-ish for a quarter including delivery. (Give or take a few quid depending on delivery preference)

no one in my opinion. too overpriced, just get yourself some bud, nice papers (there's a lot of them) and some fancy tips like rolls69 or any glass ones. then grind your bud, put crystals/dust to the side roll a cone with buds then a) if you wanna go fancy get some shatter or distilate and gently spread a bit allover the paper and the sprinkle that shit with dust b) cheap version just mix a some sugar with water to make a simple syrup again spread a tiny bit alover the paper ant then sprinkle it. more fancyness with hash sausage in the middle. or my fav if im smoking, go to your tobacco shop get a pack of backwoods honey ones (15£) and make a blunt. i usually pack mine with 2-4 g of weed.

You should check out 'Threads' a UK TV movie from the mid 80's. The effects are wonky by todays standards but it's still chilling as hell. Fail Safe and Forbin: The Colossus Project are also still scary.
Children of Men is my favourite film of all time. A flawless masterpiece with great characters and so plausible.

+1 for Threads, superb. They could act, the director could direct; I'm critical of much of todays loud, effects heavy drama. But then I'm a wrinkly 8)

"Apocalypse Now" fits into the category I think, if you haven't seen it - do so asap.

I have seen apocalypse now, didn't think of that when I wrote the post. I guess it's not a proper apocalypse (global/taking humanity to near extinction - does tick the societal collapse box) but the name certainly fits and it is a brilliant film.

Apocalypse now is one of my favourite films. Have you seen the redux version. It’s a directors cut and is so worth it. It is loosely based on the book Heart of darkness by Joseph Conrad which is a good read if you enjoy the film. Brando is the man. A hell of a lot of his part is improvised. Genius

I actually prefer the original version, it's tighter (and usually I'd always go for director's cut). The Redux one felt a bit over-indulgent (the scenes with the playboy bunnies and the weird, detached posh French people were interesting but didn't add much that the film didn't already get across in other scenes, and they affected the pacing for me). Anyway, that's just my personal preference - great shout from you and Dirigible, and one of my favourite films too (also Conrad is one of my favourite writers). 

The "making of" doc for the film (called 'Hearts of Darkness') is an apocalypse film in itself ;). Def worth seeing if you haven't - at one point Coppola tells his wife that he's mortgaged everything he owns to pay for the movie, and it's going to be rubbish, and considers deliberately injuring himself to get the insurance payout ;(

Brando is indeed the man! I think he had to improvise most of it because he couldn't/wouldn't learn the actual script haha (plus the script was unfinished)...and yet the performance is still genius.

(also, Brando wasn't the only one who wouldn't learn his lines, as the link with Dennis Hopper above shows. And I'm pretty sure Coppola was partaking of the magic herb during shooting as well, let's not assume he was sober just cos he's the director ;)

I was going to suggest The Road as well, as someone has already said - bleak and powerful film. And Children of Men is a great choice. Also, Tarkovsky’s Stalker - incredible shots and atmosphere.

I suggested it fits as the Vietnam War caused the collapse of Vietnamese society & economy, not to mention the USAs use of the defoliant Agent Orange, napalm and all the rest. As far as all those agrarian villagers were concerned it was an "extinction event", their world had gone. 8(

Children of Men: that is my fav film ever, I remmeber when I first watched it I was so moved I was in tears. Usually love movies but never get emotional, Children of Men however got me. "Strawberry Cough". 28 Days Later, one of Danny Boyles movies.
Other good movies: Train to Busan, The Road, Cloverfield, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Shaun of The Dead, Sunshine (about a space crew in the future trying to stop an impending apocalypse as the sun is dying), Independence Day. That's what I can think of so far, but amazing shout on Children of Men, a lot of people I know have never seen Children of Men, it's a very underrated film.

I’m going to throw Snowpiercer into the mix. The movie, not the tv series. Directed by Bong Joon Ho, he directed Parasite and has a great name.

Children of men is also one of my all time favourites, very moving film that scarily looks like the not too distant future.

The Wire - best thing ever written. Slow burner due to complication of story, but it is relatable as the war on drugs does not have a start or end to it, and street dealing doesn't just start, therefore you are immediately immersed in the story without even realising. Only figured that out the second time watching it. Also some great visual metaphors throughout. Also note there is no cue music to instigate feelings. All music is from source, i.e. car radio, night club. Only cue music is when Avon enters the lowrisers for the first time

The Ozark - Although breaking bad is good, it's not worth the hype. This is the older cooler brother of breaking bad. Calculated and intense at times. Story is always moving forward with real character progression

Altered Carbon - Absolutely fantastic sci-fi with great visuals and a great story line. Really left me itching to read the book, and I'm not a sci-fi fan

Arrested Development - Intelligent comedy with so much layered jokes you can watch this five times and still find punch lines you never noticed before

People Just Do Nothing - Threw this on not expecting much which is perhaps why I found it to be so good. Off the wall characters made completely believable by the actors playing the parts. Excellent idea, excellent execution.

Peep Show - This is a classic, you need to watch this

Trailer Park Boys - Another classic everyone here should be able to relate to

Big Mouth - Great for a background watch, but really funny and does take you back to your teenage years at times, haha

Fargo - Beautiful cinematography, great story captured very close to the original film. Billy Bob absolutely shines in this role in season one

Life On Mars - Made in early naughties, but just as relevant as today

Dark Tourist - good short run of a different kind of travel show. The kind of travel I like too

The Wolves Of Yellowstone - Nature documentary that has a story line Walt Disney would be proud of. Really makes you realise the balance of nature

Utopia - Such an underrated British TV series

It's Always Sunny In Philidelphia - Great zany show about dysfunctional friends who live in their own world, and drink in their own pub causing all kinds of ridiculous antics

Homeland - Great series that will always have you wondering what, or who is next

The Killing - Only recommend the first seasons. It drags you along on the witch hunt convincing you you know the answer

Punisher - About time they stuck to the gritty comic. Refreshing that this i not aimed at kids and fattening wallets.

The End Of The Fucking World - Two out there teens who decide to adventure together with, maybe, disastrous consequences

Oh my god its been years since I've watched utopia and now I'm all excited to dive into the twisted wacky world of 90's conspiracies that now seem quick mundane as they are basically happening now

Dark on Netflix. German show about time travel set in a village where kids keep going missing every 33 years. Stunning production values, really intricately plotted, three series, all ties together. Loved it. Has an English dub but the German audio with subtitles is best.

Dark is a masterpiece. Watching S2 whilst really baked was transcendent
