I have an eclectic mix of little glass jars that imported weed came in, plastic weed pots with the dimple at the bottom, and a metal tin. I thought I was doing okay. This is a setback. Where does one acquire UV resistant glass jars from to keep up with the modern gentlemen?

Many online vendors available dude. They're around £18-20 for a 500mL jar, £14-16 for 250mL. The tax avoiding vendor named after a river does them...

Man, that's like when I look at rucksacks online and it says it can carry ten litres or thirty litres. How much is that? Like am I meant to liquify my weekend clothes and then paint them on or something? I'd probably stick to mini sized jars. I'd guess smaller than 250. I like having just an 8th in each pot as I buy little bits often rather than big bits at once generally.

500mL fits something like an oz almost exactly of Franz's BSS, and it's filled over halfway for not suspiciously dense, but still more dense imports, like loads of the imports from Canada. 250mL fits about half that amount, so you can decant from larger to smaller jars to cycle through as you get through your weed and restock. May not work with your way of smoking and storage, but you can get smaller Bovida packs to put in 100mL jars, which may fit what you're looking for better with regards to long term storage and keeping your weed tip top.

Not sure about rehydrating the weed mate but I use integra boost packs to stop it drying out as quick.

I used to get some dry as hell stuff from canada, I'd always put half an orange in with 1lb and it would moisten up

orange segment or peel same with apple or even potato keep an eye on it will bring it back if it's not too far gone.

Boveda packs work apparently, but I never had success with them personally, perhaps they only work with small amounts of weed. I used to buy my personal stash in 1lb at a time and if it ever became dry towards the end, I would use orange/lemon/lime peel to bring it back to life. I would leave it in the jar (NOT TOUCHING THE WEED) and check on it every 3-4h. I wouldn't leave it over night. It won't take long and you're also not using anything synthetic.

It actually made the weed taste better, be sure you don't over do it, or you'll have to dry it out. That happened when I left it over night.

TerpsLoc bags or grove bags work best, glass jars became too cumbersome when you have a lot, Boveda packs i only use if the bud is Very dry but remember Boveda will dull the nose on your bud but that's the sacrifice we must make.

You can actually buy terpene enhanced hydration packs now which will boost the smell of your weed with flavours like gas, candy, sour and purple.

Ye Integra do a two way infusion pack probably worth a try if you ever don’t like the flavour of something

You can also make your own with vape terps dripped on cotton wool in a pierced bag.

You can change the smell which is a large part of the flavour but you can't get rid of the original flavour if you don't like it, only add notes to alter it, probably better used to enhance existing flavours and intensify the lost smells of dead bud.

It's not as bad as it was, but still prone to spikes. I use Exodus and at one point last night the network fee was over $30, however I waited a few hours and it was back down to $1.89. It's currently at $1.68 on Exodus (3pm 17/05/23). Not sure what the costs are like on other exchanges/wallets.

It's easy to check with Exodus, I usually keep a few dollars worth of BTC in it and if I need to check the fees I just do a dummy transfer and see what the network fees are like and take it from there.

The last few weeks have been a big (and expensive) learning experience for me when it comes to buying and moving crypto. I also hope this prompts LB to adopt other coins or payment methods. It seems to be a solution that works for all parties including LB itself.

Try Orbot and use that with Brave.

It just acts like a VPN but uses the Tor circuit. The ‘too many requests’ means LB needs to invest in themselves more server wise. That’s not down to tor. But there’s lots of people trying to get on with the main clear net site all at once, only being up very recently, hopefully that’ll cool down.

The vendor sends to whatever address you put in. They’ve no reason to even notice a change as your order address deletes after sending. I’ve ordered products to different addresses and not even thought about it- not an issue IMO…

Why you transferring from Coinbase to a wallet? That's just added unwanted fees. Just send it direct to Vendors direct from coinbase.

Even though BTC transactions are traceable to an extent, an extra wallet adds a layer of anonymity. Coinbase have all your personal information, so the link to any illicitness is direct. I use a separate wallet for this precise reason.

I doubt this problem is unique to revolut, just that they're being extra judicious after recently getting their banking license. crypto laws in the uk make it so legally operating businesses bare responsibility for doing more checks than they used to, which tickle down to a bad time for people like us.

buying crypto in person is less problematic in that it's a p2p transaction so doesn't require kyc checks. new problems arise from it being a random person you're doing the transaction with, so there's a certain amount of risk involved. websites like localcoinswap let you filter by this type of exchange. I can't vouch for it yet until I complete a transaction soon.

How big are your transactions? Tbh I’ve been doing <100$ orders for almost 2years now straight from Revolut to the transaxe wallet (ik not the best opsec but I don’t really understand the risks) and not had a problem

They have a limit of 50 wallet addresses you can send to, so I was doing btc orders of about $1k at a time to keep the number of transactions down.

I can also say i have tried both coinbase and kraken. Coinbase wanted loads of i.d etc and froze the account eventually. Were as kraken works fine and has done for at least a year now. I would go with kraken haven't had any issues with them what so ever

Kraken just changed their user agreement / policy on the 2nd of June 2025.

I don't use them but you might want to check it in full.

I skimmed through it and they say that you must have at least 1) an email address 2) a phone number and 3) a street address to open an account wiht them.

I could also see a clause stating that they reserve the right to check your ID more in depth if they feel like it.

I seriously doubt any UK FCA approved exchange will survive without having to abide by the new rules.

p2p exchanges dont have this problem. local coin swap is one of the best and you don't have to deal in person, they have an escrow system like littlebiggy albeit everything is shitloads faster.

another upside to p2p is not having HMRC emails suggesting they think you're holding crypto with a reminder to declare. likely after the exchanges hand over user data for compliance. I don't hold it and it's none of their business

Just use kraken its very good and easy to use, with the only downside i have experienced being that there is a limit on the number of transactions you can make every 24hours but its only happened to me once after making about 25 transactions in a day and it was back to usual the next day.

Yeh they eventually do that to you, you can bullshit your way out of it for a few months but they eventually just close the account. I’ve used Paybis now for a few years and just send straight to the receiving address, not had any issues as of yet

I've been using Paybis over a year now and i haven't had any emails from HMRC stating that you need to declare any crypto that your holding. Can you let us know a little more about that as when i read your comment above i was a little concerned myself.

I only buy crypto directly from Paybis and send it directly to an external wallet address without any issues. I also emailed Paybis today asking them if i had to pay tax or any associated fees when buying and sending crypto directly from my account in the UK and they said NO.

the government is using the information they acquire from legally operating crypto firms to "remind" people who have acquired crypto that any profit from fiat withdrawals are taxable. I know it was a legit email because the gov were bragging about it in the media shortly after that declared income from the associated taxes went up not long after taking the step.

you will in all likeliness be absolutely fine, but paybis and all other crypto firms declare all the information as required by uk law. just keep a record of your transactions incase they claim you're holding the crypto you bought. cheers

This all sounds like a bit of a nightmare. If I am buying crypto on CB and sending to exodus wallet and then sending from that to purchase things what kind of record could be requested and how could I prove I have no crypto, showing cb and exodus balance.

if you're buying from CB you should be fine. they keep a record of transactions in your account history. even if you send to another wallet first (good practise) the blockchain is a double edged sword in that it's transparent so you can follow the trail until it's mixed with something like XRP. so long as you never cash back out to fiat currency, and make up a good excuse for the transactions, you have nothing to declare and should be fine

if you do larger value transactions, you can point to any expensive item in your home and say you bought it with the crypto. no crime in that. for smaller value, say you're playing a gacha style crypto game. they might think you're retarded, but that's ok. rule of thumb is unless it's the tax man asking questions, you say nothing. speaking is self incrimination. always good to be on the ball but also don't worry yourself about it to much 👍

3. If you're only buying btc for transactions and no sale's are made , your P/L (profit and loss statement) is 0, that means CGT (capital gains tax) is 0 and there's nothing you can be taxed on.
Only for buyer's, if you are receiving BTC and / or aswell trading BTC, that's a whole different ocean.

i'm really interested in any bigga's experience because i don't think it can work in a noticeable way if you smoke weed.

My personal experience is is microdosing a variety of psychedelics, including weed. In fact I only microdose weed and never get wasted on it anymore and it’s so much better for my mental health and over all anxiety levels. Getting too stoned has negative effects for me anyway like not being able to function in normal settings anymore! Don’t get me wrong on the odd occasion with a bunch of mates we can have a little bit more than a micro but as an everyday smoke/vape I believe in micro dosing all the way! The more you do it the more you realise you don’t need as much to get the exact same health benefits if not more because you aren’t flooding your Endocannabinoid system. But yeah that my personal experience. I like combining that with mushies and lsd micros…every one has a different function and place so it’s about finding what works for you!

I use THC oil or if I vape only use the tiniest amount

I make oil and butter, FECO, RSO and tincture out of the weed I buy and tincture is easiest for microdosing. Plus a little goes a looong way! I'm in the UK so the grain alcohol I use is just under 70% alcohol so I used to put drops under my tongue but now I put on a sugar cube and dissolve it under the tongue.

I smoke a lot of weed and I can still feel it. Depending on the strain I’ll have between 0.6 and a gram a time and love the feeling of coming up on them. Things can go a bit wibbly but that’s part of the fun. That’s Monday Wednesday and Friday. Saturday I have a day off and Sunday morning do 3 drops of psychonauts leisure time Lucy and walk around all day smiling :)

I've been journeying into microdosing Amanita and Psilosybin with Cacao. Very nice results indeed. Very subtle but beautiful effects. Increased energy levels (and strength). Lots of emotional release too. Combining a THC cookie also has amazing weekend results for me. Forest walking is just sublime, but with presence, peace, and legs of steel.
