What is decarboxylated hash. Hash and weed as we look at it, is in a none psychoactive state.

The chemical term for none psychoactive cannabis is THCa (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid).

When we add heat from smoking, it evaporates the water molecule within the trichomes and converts it into THC (Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), which is decarboxylated and fully psychoactive.

When we smoke a normal joint to get high in my opinion not all the THCa gets converted.

However when we Decarboxylate cannabis fully prior to making hash it becomes 100% psychoactive and gets us really shit faced as we are now smoking 100% THC (Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol).

We can also eat it (not to much) as it will shit face us even more.

Odin was a buyer well before vendor and I’ve spoken with him on chat ages ago so not sure why you think he’s fake ?

Studies have shown that in a spliff the combustion on hash may be too quick to maximise the thc decarbonisation, hash burns slower than weed so it’s theorised that we may be missing out when burning it ?

Old school has made in India/morroco ect was left out in the sun to dry and partly decarbed in the natural process with the advancements in growing and producing hash some is produced by freezing the plant when harvested so I’ve bought this hash and it was lovely, he’s not selling decarbed weed as this burns at lower temperatures and is pointless unless using in edibles

Also for those who eat rather than smoke this product is an edible ready to go at all times - I keep a bit in the car for emergencies.

Have to say bit of a strong approach here I get that there’s a lot in this site that seems a bit odd sometimes but think you’ve picked the wrong puppy here Odin has seasoned biggas in his customer base who will support him.

Hotness is what Biggy uses for sorting when "bigg" is selected, so it's this site's formula. I think it can seem stale so wanted to be able to sort by recently created/updated.

Endorsements were just something I added as an experiment, thought user votes might be fun. Hasn't been tested properly, so probably needs work, or might be scrapped. We'll see.

For me it has to be some Bruce Banner #3 from 1e hulp in the dam all the way back in 2017. I've never been able to recapture that one. It was a skunky, kind of gassy & fruity type all rolled into one with such a unique flavour profile to finish. The high was second to none. Wiped me right out. Left me looking at the world with my eyes so bulged they were basically closed. They say you'll never recapture that first high, this one took me above and beyond.

I absolutely love blue cheese. So tasty and so strong. I used to get an oz every week off my plug back in the day. Couldn't get enough of it. Got it recently in the dam too at Greenhouse effect. Was just like how I remembered it.

got an oz like that in the late 90's, had the potent lavender smell and taste. think it was a bit on the indica pheno side. very dark purple and when you snapped the buds in half the core was almost black. amazing bag appeal. really strong and tasty stuff too

My favourite strain ever was back in 2004 and called MMG “Martian Mean Green” from DNA, I managed to get a few beautiful phenos from a pack of reg seeds

I'm a big fan of mimosa. First time I had that and sluricane I was quite pleased (they were nice examples). I think my all time favourite may have been a blue cheese amnesia cross, had it around Xmas time like 12 years ago. Point in time/context definitely has huge impact on decision. I once grew some purple punch (outdoor auto flower) only got like a Q of decent bud, after few months curing was lovely, that fact I grew it made it better than it was to me.

Had a strain called Greco once that was the strongest thing I've ever had, not only gave me red eyes but also gave red rings/bags on eyes. My house mates were worried about me hahaha.

I have found that it's more to do with phenotypes and how they are grown. I've sampled different grows of the same strain and found the effects to differ with each one. Some of these grows have been some of the nicest in effects and then others of the same strain completely lack what was so nice about them.

It's a toss up between bubba kush and amnesia haze for me. Had some bubba for the first time a few months back and it was a gorgeous body high. Delicious body rushes from it. Bought some again recently but doesn't have the same quality of effects unfortunately. Maybe because of different phenotypes 🤷🏻‍♂️.
Amnesia haze almost always gets me to a place of euphoria that's unmatched by other strains. Would love to find a strain that's more euphoric but out of the roughly 20 strains I've tried so far nothing has been more uplifting than ami.

What Does a Top Vendor on LB Do Differently?

I started to wonder what are the best qualities for a vendor to have. We all have our favourite vendors who we rely on and use on repeat. But what put them there into that top spot holding the gold medal? There's over a hundred vendors and over a thousand products at the time of writing this. What separates them?

I would likely drill it down to these main pillars of great vending from my own experiences. This is what I like vendors to exceed at.

- Great products
- Reasonable prices
- Good communication
- Fast delivery
- Thoughtful stealth
- Reliable service

I'll pick through these one at a time below.

- Great products -

All of these probably speak for themselves. But primarily we want to smoke, vape and eat great quality cannabis products. We don't want to be rolling up ditch weed in a bus ticket. I personally like vendors with relentless quality controls; Where the vendor name feels like a stamp of approval. So whatever I order there is very likely to be of good quality. This is number one on the list for a reason.

- Reasonable prices -

No one likes being rinsed for their coins. One of the key appeals of LB is the great value compared to buying from a local. While I'm sure we all appreciate that a bag of imported jungle boys is more costly than a bag of shake, feeling we are paying a fair price is definitely the winner.

- Good communication -

This is not as relevant when everything has gone perfectly. But eventually, if you order enough, something goes awry so good communication is a must for me.

I'm not looking for a new best mate but knowing we're in some way together in this until the deal is complete reassures me that you'll deliver. I have stopped using a couple of vendors who are unable to tick this box. I understand that vendors can't reply in 5 mins and that their shop is a business so they deserve their work-life balance as much as anyone. But timely replies to valid questions or issues are a must for me.

- Fast delivery -

"I've ordered some lovely looking bits - get them to me right now!" We're all excited when we order but need to apply an appropriate amount of patience and face the reality of logistics. I've had orders delivered inside of one day but generally you can't rely on that level of service particularly as RM is a piece of the puzzle.

However, what I do like to see is vendors routinely hitting the service level they state on their profile and getting orders sent out in decent time, particularly when you fluster your way through moving coins to hit their stated cut off points. I appreciate that I won't be rolling up five minutes after my payment clears but the faster and more reliable a vendors process is, the more likely they'll get repeat orders from me. The main vendors I order from have their order process completely dialled in. I also prefer tracked to signed deliveries as that requires less commitment on my part.

- Thoughtful stealth -

Here's an area where even some of the big vendors could do with improvement. I'm not going to detail anyone's stealth for the obvious reason. I guess ultimately it needs to hit a few key points. Professional / No smell / No touching / What if someone else opens it. The vendors concerned about all these are the ones I trust the most.

- Good service level / rating -

This really follows on from good communication. If a problem has occurred I don't just want a nice chat about it, I want a simple solution. There are vendors I've had problems with that both communicated well and solved the problem that I'd still happily use and recommend. Vendors ticking all these boxes should naturally attain a high rating.

- Community interaction -

It's good to see vendors interact with the LB community. I'm glad they're involved. Often they can shine a light on things us punters know little about and knowing they are here is reassuring for many of the reasons I've mentioned such as service and communication.

However this isn't as essential as the other elements to get me to order weed. If a vendor runs multiple channels and is super busy just by nature of being a great vendor then I'm cool with that. After all it's that volume of sales that give us the great pricing. Some of the core vendors I use don't interact huge amounts with the LB community and I'm fine with that so long as they tick my other boxes. Being quietly fast and reliable while not wanting to draw attention or whip up controversy are all positive traits considering the nature of the purchase we're all trying to make anyway.

They tick all my boxes on repeat and once delivered me an order about 18 hours after I paid for it.

The weed range and price is exactly what I'm after (with the exception of orange flavours) with some top bits and a bunch of bargains. Service is fast. If I have questions they're answered. I've not had a big problem to sort but I'm sure that GC would be all over it if I did. The GC logo is a quality stamp. Trust in the cartoon cat.

I've just ordered some more blue nerds there which is one of my favourite strains. Marked as sent already.

A quietly reliable vendor. I order most of my RSO, D9 and extracts here. I trust the Dr and they've proved reliable. I'm a fan of the crumble waxes too. Very good value and a superbly smooth and flavourful smoke in my dab pen. I've also had orders from here inside of 24 hours.

I quite fancy trying a cart from here when I next need one. Probably a live resin version.

I've used loads of other vendors of course and many of them have a tip top service too. I've detailed many before in other topics like the one linked and I still love you all and will be back to buy again in the future. Two recent stand out services though were:

The Hash Collective provided me a brilliant service recently over the Piatella order.

They held me a bit until payday for my birthday treat. They kept their word and so did I. There's very few online shops outside of this world that would do this usually I imagine. It was a great, if bloody expensive, transaction.

They also have really fancy special glass pots. Very posh and carefully selected. One of the best pots I've had on LB. Probably the second best pots in fact :-) What isn't second best though is the range of fancy hash products. Lots have a price tag that will make your eyes water long before any of the smoke hits them but they've got some real posh stuff going on that's worth exploring for a special treat or if you smoke like a gangsta.

The Good Stuff proved themselves a committed vendor to me as well recently.

They went the extra bit to rectify a small mistake that's not worth detailing as I wouldn't want this to be taken as a negative. Unless you've never made a single mistake then please never judge a vendor on their single mistake - judge them on what they do next. Their response showed they truly cared about their service level and reputation. They subsequently did precisely what they said they would to fix it. Top notch stuff. And while we'd all rather have no mistakes ever, knowing the vendor has your back is a powerful indicator of service and engagement with customers. I'll order there again. Not least as they've got a fantastic range of really nice hash at great prices including some very fancy looking static. The bargain mimosa I had previously was lovely and orangey.

Great Vendors:

Going the extra mile to satisfy customers requests or taking the time to fix orders shows a service level that barely exists outside of a platform like this. It elevates us and strengthens us as a community and makes me proud of my little part here in buying and smoking as much weed as I can to help everyone out.

All you said BigRoo...some vendors have been very creative over the years. Pretty sure my postie knows what the package is now...he always puts it through the letter box rather than leave it in the post box outside
3] comms
I think I've been lucky coz I've never had any real problems. But if I did I would expect a reply with 24h
4] delivery
Again I've learnt patience over the years. When I order I work on the basis it's gonna take the full 3 days... I usually go for the 1-3 day tracked no signature...if turns up on day 1 , happy days. If it's not turned up by day 4 then I start to panic

Green Cat is my goto and he smashes all of the above imo.

I would also recommend
Oro Verde ... small batch home grown weed. V small menu but worth the wait for his weed .

Theyre not like dealers I’ve had to deal with for 25 years, they’re vendors and I like that distinction. Your ideals pretty much determine the difference imho and the more vendors new and old alike that read this and take it in the better for them, us and the whole community here on LB

I know there's a fair few vendors that have aligned values to this. A lot of them I don't order from simply as it's signed delivery and I lack the commitment to be home. So while they don't match my exact needs I know they do a great service generally. GAW I've ordered from a few times. They get a good commercial hash in as well as some orangy strains.

They are still dealers but are more accountable due to the LB platform. I might do a topic about that in the future. I think it's always worth remembering they're not set up like Amazon and are having to take numerous cautious steps for both ours and their benefit to send us our parcels.

Main thing for me is Comms & Stealth. (After Quality of course) 3 Years on here now & tried a lot of the bigger sellers & several smaller ones.

The two I have settled on are RealD and Green Cat both of whom have always delivered quality, reliability & great service.

Fair comment on both RD and GC. Both are vendors whose name is like a quality stamp of approval. I use Green Cat all the time as the service is spot on. I only usually stray away if I'm looking for orange buds or certain random things.

I am new to LB, I have 13 buys, all have gone well, and I have received 2 great subs. The one thing I would suggest, is that sellers clearly mark their packs with the strain. The reason I say this, is due to the subs being an unknown strain, and I don't know what to reorder in future. I am happy to be here, and I look forward to trying more products from as many recommended sellers as possible.

I stopped using a vendor for subbing stuff yet the listing stayed live. I'd rather pay a couple of bucks more and get exactly what I expected to. All the sellers I buy from currently mark the packs so you know what's what. I tend to order quite a few bits at once and while I'd likely be able to identify them by smell I'd definitely get the hump if I actually had to.

I've been gradually getting my products listed up and getting my logistics sorted out. Once that is all done I'll be running the obligatory competition/giveaway to try and get a bit more traction, but know that it takes time and patience to build up a solid reputation. Onwards and upwards!

Integrity and attitude is what makes a good vendor.

My favourite vendors are Shroom Of The Loom (he goes above and beyond, great relations with this guy), TheGoodStuff (made two mistakes out of 20 orders, rectified them no questions asked) and FungalCate (was willing to accommodate a special request for me). All 3 have good stealth (TGS has the worst but it's not bad at all). And they all have good comms.

Vendors that use their own products are the ones you can trust the most imo, and I know these 3 vendors do.

Dr Distillate and Greencat are also two vendors I trust, Greencat can be hit and miss but generally gets decent stuff. I'm going to go against the grain here and say, I wouldn't recommend druids magic. Sure they are lovely people, but it's overpriced homegrown sadly. The terps I had from the two strains I sampled were nice but the weed was not even that strong, I wasn't impressed considering the £10 a gram price.

The worst vendors are the ones peddling questionable hash and then getting extremely defensive over it. They make the borgs money though so nothing will ever be done :)

I like SOTL although not ordered there for a while. Used to like the Tommy Shelby shatter. Stealth+1 delivery style. Tgs are getting some nice products at not huge money.

Dr D & GC are my core vendors as they generally get it right on repeat. Very reliable and trustworthy services. GC get some lovely bits in that are great value. The blue nerds variant they had previously was incredible. I've just bought a bag of the new one but not tried it yet. Was delivered on a Sunday too.

I've just ordered from druids magic to see for myself what it's like. The order process was very friendly. Will see what the buds are like. Was same price as the White Gummies I just got from GC - $75 QTR.

Fake hash is a contentious issue. I've seen comments saying hash was fake that I'd bought and known for sure was good. I have had one bad bit from LB though. I've kept it just to show people.

Hey BigRoo great read as always. Hit the nail on the head with what's hoped for.

I have to give Radar Breeder a shout out as I have never had an issue with an order and they meet the expectations on all fronts. Loads of other great vendors mentioned here already.

Another issue for me is subs. If a vendor is going to sub one of my products I would prefer a message to let me know or ask what would be preferred. If I look at their store and they still have a listing for something they tell me is out of stock I won't use them again. If it's disappeared or been marked out of stock then I can accept it was an innocent mistake.

I've ordered from RB before. Think I had a cheapie that was really lovely. Looked scrappy but was a joy to smoke. Really gassy. Can't remember why I stopped unless they're special delivery which I mostly avoid due to a lack of commitment on my part.

Subs is a good shout and I should have considered that writing the topic. I fully get that lb sales system leaves vendors with tricky inventory handling. But I agree that the solution is communication. That's a whole logistical pickle for a vendor to hit smoothly at volume though and would slow deliveries. Which in turn would trigger another subset of more urgent customers. I imagine it's a juggling act at the vendor end. However I do agree that getting a sub of something you don't like when you ordered something you love is a right kick in the nuts. And even more so when the listing doesn't disappear as you know that up and down the UK folks are smoking the weed you want but don't have. Lucky bastards! I'll always forgive the odd mistake especially when compensated but agree regular subs is goodbye from me.

Also worth noting GC subbed half of one of my bits before and upgraded me simply as they felt I'd like the other bit better. And were completely correct. I was skint so bought the cheapest so the part upgrade was a lovely thought to make my week better. So not all subs are bad. There's a good way to do it!

Definitely not us atm 🤦‍♂️ but for me personally, I have to give a shout out to Your Mums House and The Spacemen.

Never had an issue when I used to be a customer and never had a bad strain. What I loved most about them was their consistency.. I had full faith that my last min orders would make it out that day and that I'd be smoking on it the next.

They set the bar for our store and service.. and now with our recent cancelled orders fiasco, I appreciate their long running service to this platform even more. Props where props are due!

It's must be tough for a new vendor. Trust and reliability are core and you can only build that up over time. Have to keep plugging away at it. . However I note big vendors do change on LB so some of the current newbies will be the big teams of the future. I think most customers are looking at the values I've listed and like me hope to find a reliable vendor they can use on repeat. I'm sure you'll build a base of superfans who'll elevate you to the next level. Good luck with your vending.

I think that’s effectively the humbling aspect of this all at the end of the day I had a bad start on here family problems and what not but essentially in the short time that I’ve done this consistently I’ve seen two repeat customers if not only great business but also Great relationship and connection!

It's a cliche but all businesses are about relationships. Even the big brands we like, we form a sort of relationship with. And like all relationships there's a key factor of trust. People trust based on feeling. And creating that feeling is what it's all about.

It's a shame where vendors get marked down for a RM issue. Slow or lapse vendors deserve a rating that reflects that but no one deserves a bad rating off the back of an RM fail. However I guess that's where good communication can solve an issue before it bubbles up.

I think you're either a spiritually open minded person or you're not, i don't think weed has anything to do with it.

DMT, and (as Polly has said), mushrooms and even LSD might change a person's outlook on spirituality, but i doubt if weed can even come close.

I've known some very spiritual and lovely people who are completely drug and alcohol free, and some complete arseholes who smoke weed all day every day and are about as close to being spiritual as i am to being an elf.

I think it really depends upon the individual.

Me and an old mate were convinced we came up with the best ideas when we were stoned, but we could never remember them so we set up a dictaphone (yeah i am that old!) and listened back to a session when we were sober.

Complete and utter jibberish. Worst ideas ever. It was actually comical how much nonsense we were chatting.

I'm certainly not saying everybody is the same but i think those moments are best left in the moment and (being a drinker myself too) the alcohol inspired ones even more so!

It's still a lot of fun trying to solve the worlds problems when slightly off kilter in one way or another though! Someone's got to do it... ;)

I don't think there ever was a "best" idea, as I say they were all basically nonsense.

The vast majority essentially revolved around incredible, innovative business strategies to get mega rich, quick.

One of the few I can remember involved buying old ice cream vans and converting them into pasta vans, (because everyone loves pasta!) That kind of idea we would discuss for about 2 or 3 hours, whilst forgetting the whole "practicality" of hygiene certificates, boiling water in a van travelling around roundabouts, pasta needing to be cooked 'al dente' or any other of the numerous 'real world' aspects to that kind of venture.

It was basically all dreams with no real substance, but it was such great fun talking about it when we were high as kites, and even just listening back to it was a laugh. I wish I had kept the tapes but alas they've been lost, as with so many other things I should've kept hold of.

Fun times nonetheless. 💚

Many many years ago my best mate and I were stoned and bemoaning the fact that life was passing us by (at 23, even though we had careers, good money and our own houses!!). We decided it would be a great idea to chuck it all in and buy a bar in Corfu.
Had we been drinking we would have woken up with a hangover unable to even care what bollocks we had been talking.
Our bar opened 4 months later and we lived there for 5 amazing years. It wasn’t an easy thing to do, in fact it was really really difficult (no EU rights back then) but a crazy stoned idea changed our lives forever- when we sold it that opened a lot more doors.

I take more of a humanist perspective these days so I struggle to say what being "spiritual" even means exactly.

That said, I think weed can give us something of a rush of joy and wonder that can help appreciate and reframe stuff. Also, a deeper interest in things we might otherwise not have noticed: not always a good thing, e.g. when you think truly banal things are profound. Sometimes it helps reach a more introspective viewpoint. This last one can be damaging if you allow yourself to become a navel-gazing, reclusive stoner though ... at least that has been the case for me: everyone is different I guess.

Where it may also hamper personal development is where you use it to avoid or put off difficult emotions until later: definitely been guilty of this one too.

To answer directly no it does not. spiritual growth solely comes from within, in the sense that connectivity to you mind body and energy need to be retained and an awareness kept throughout all interactions in present.

If you are looking for a spiritual awakening, find a reputable shaman and attend an Ayahuasca tea ceremony, a genuine one. I am going to try shrooms soon, something I've always been interested in and having done a couple of ceremonies I will throw myself in at deep end with shrooms, happy to report back after.

Don't kid yourselves about weed. It can aid but very much indirectly and I'm certain you would arrive at a spiritual awakening much sooner with a sober body mind energy. There's a reason why most spiritual undertaking require you to be sober.

Anyone got any interesting theories as to what they are or why the US government is doing nothing about them?

Seen a few theories from angry military technology contractors flexing their might, to Russian drones preparing to drop bombs. Very little 'official' talk of them being non-human, which strikes me as odd.

On the QT there is a lot of talk of them being non-human, was watching a video of the guy that sent his own drone up to look at them, only to have his full powered drone sapped of battery within minutes and becoming unresponsive. As far as the cursory looking I've done, there is no technology that can drain batteries like that. Of course it could be a faulty drone, but who knows.

Interesting times, lots of 'drones' spotted in my area (South East UK) around military bases.

FBI say they are clueless, US government and military have taken no action. No way on earth do we not have the capability of looking at these things up close or taking action against them, IF they are genuinely drones. So there must be a bigger picture, but what is it? Non-human is by far the least sinister option I think

Have 4 different strains here, started with the CaliMix.
had trouble with coinbase fortnight ago and not smoked since then so i'm super primed for the effects.
Not looked into decarb hash just taking it as i goes, so far very good impression, the smoke seems very very clean.
My first impression is that decarb is for wizards, dunno if it's just he CaliMix but i'm getting quite heavy spirit vibes if you know what i mean.

Had to add a short review on this one as it is a great find.

I’ve not tried anything from Odin before but have been interested in the concept of decarb hash. Saw some great discounts on so thought it was worth a try and went straight for the Cali option.

Stealth, packaging etc, all on point and delivery was next day so that side was spot on, also slightly over weight.

Hash has a different consistency to usual, but you can pretty much see from the other product photos how this is. Very crumbly texture, almost to powder when pressed, with some nice smells (although muted) coming off the lump. This is one of the reasons I purchased as I’ve had mixed results with hash since I started vaping (using a mighty plus) and it looked like it might go well through a vape.

I can confirm this is excellent in a vape. I loaded a dosing capsule with a little layer of cotton bacon on top and bottom and got stuck in. The bowl lasted ages, maybe 3 heat cycles before it was done. Great flavours coming off and a surprising amount of vapour in general. As per the description the high was fast and powerful, immediate euphoria which really lasted a long time. I’d usually hit 2 or 3 bowls at a time but 1 was plenty to start with. It was at least 2.5 hrs later before I even considered going back for more.

Overall this is really nice, very easy to work with for vaping and gives a super strong and nice high. Thanks Odin!

As mentioned this is my first try but I suspect the texture and vape friendly aspect is all linked to decarbing, so am guessing the other products from Odin are also vape friendly. Would be great a for any other vapers to confirm or deny this?

Subjective comments on hash - I tried some of Eddy's hash. Smelt great when opening. Vaping it was interesting. Very herbal flavour masking some of the terpenes. But very easy to burn, even using a decent mod box and quartz cup. It's a richer more complex flavour than say, oil/wax. I've bought some hash rosin to see how that performs for me. In theory this will give a more complex flavour than oil/wax, while there should be less of the somewhat problematic (to me, anyway) plant material. Not to mention the solventless extraction method. Experimenting like this is most interesting 😊

Vaping it didn't work too well for me, but I think it may be my technique at fault 😊 I've tried some of your hash rosin. That melts beautifully into a clear liquid. It's powerful stuff. Tried some of your rosin in a Crossing ACE vapour cup. With slices of fresh lime. Works very well. A different flavour (even taking into account the lime) to wax/badder and one I really like. To me, it's halfway between hash and wax/badder, with the hash flavours reduced by the rosin process. They're still there, just more in the background. For me, vaping straight hash gives too much of the grass/herbal flavour to the point where it overpowers other flavours.

What I do is thinly slice a fresh lime and put a few slices into the cup. About 3-4 slices. Then use the cup as normal. My thinking was that terpenes in the lime would work well with some of the terpenes in the wax. And so, for me anyway, this turns out to be the case. I guess any citrus fruit woul work ok.

when i had ringing in ear i would lay on my side and use a pipette to put in ear, i would say 5-10 mins each side, do it for a few days, it also works wonders for ear ache as well

Strangely though the tinnitus only happens when I lie down. It isn't an issue when I'm sat up which lead my doctor to believe I had fluid in my ears that caused it but it only happened if I had anxiety in the background.

I've got GAD so it's pretty constant for me. Now and again if it's really bad I'll take the pills prescribed for it but to be honest they don't do a great deal. The pills are used to treat vertigo so in turn works on the inner ear.

I know people with the same and the pills work but just not for me.

This is a review of a bit I paid for.

About me:
Long time smoker, mostly spiffs but also vape & make my own edibles. I favour orange or fruity strains and generally prefer a couch locker to a heady one. I'm also a big fan of extracts. I've no idea if my reviews are useful but I felt it'd give something back.

The vendor:

Odins is a well known LB hash maker & consumer that was recommended to me on a recent hash post I wrote.

Decarb hash:

This is a decarboxylated hash. Odins, who it's worth noting is a far more experienced hash maker than me, seemingly has a thing for decarb. I get the theory - that some of the usual hash product you smoke doesn't fully decarb so is wasted as your body doesn't absorb the thca unless converted to thc. However, it's a process I'd not considered myself so I was hugely curious as to what you lose and what you gain. It'd be interesting to pepsi challenge a new hash by decarbing half and running the other half as a regular hash process. Then testing back to back. Pseudo science perhaps but it might be an interesting process and the results would surely be an interesting read. Perhaps Odins has done this and decided decarb won?

The Product

So, what's it like to smoke? It's got a taste of classic hash in there but not like a musky backstreet soapbar. It's more like a sweet flowery oily black but without the plastercine back taste. Very smooth to smoke. The taste is subdued as with most hash (compared to the bud that I'm used to smoking). No harsh dry hash throat which is always a winner. It's soft to handle, again similar to a squidgy black but slightly dryer. It does roll into little sausages so is easy to use.

The stone is a slow burner for me. It starts as you smoke but doesn't stop when you stub. It continues to creep up around you like a warm blanket placed over your shoulders on a cold night. It's a sneaker so after twenty mins you suddenly realise you're pretty sedated but are slightly unsure when it happened. It's much nicer rolled with some bud to slow the burn rate down and add more flavour. Personally I think that's true of most hashes rolled in spliffs as opposed to a comment on Odins but I always try them on their own first. Is that a me thing?

I got the last 2 grams of this. So you can't actually buy some whatever I think of it. Sorry - it was an intro offer at 9 bucks a gram. Odins does have a bunch of other products to check out and more in the pipeline I expect. There's a link at top of this post so you can check the other decarb hash out.

Note: I only got it as someone didn't pay or cancel their order so there was a 2g leftover after it was sold out. That's impolite in my opinion. Vendors have a difficult inventory to keep. Administrate yourselves well to help out the LB community folks. However, in this case it did help out this small corner of the community so thanks to the non-payer.

Verdict:

For 9 bucks it's exceptional value and likely better than most of a similar price. Although as you can't now buy it that's probably not helpful. It was an intro offer so I guess it would be priced higher usually. There's a load of other options available on Odins page (linked).

But is decarb hash better? I don't know. That's probably not the conclusive answer you wanted. It's not the answer I wanted either. Its flavour is subdued I think but it's definitely unusually strong. As in; its strength is unusual rather than more powerful than anything else.

As the buzz is settling it does feel a little like the heady effect of the early onset of an edible just prior to it fully kicking in. I think that's probably my best description of the slightly unusual stone. It doesn't continue on to batter you like a strong edible and leave you questioning your life choices but it is a strong stone of that nature. I'm not ruined but I certainly know I've had a smoke. That's probably why I'm stumbling to find the words to describe it. My tolerance is pretty high so if it works for me, it'll likely tickle your fancy too.

Ultimately, it's worth trying some decarb hash to see what you think about it. If only as I'd personally love to hear other people's experiences and thoughts about the process.

I might try some in cookies. My sixth sense is telling me this is a good idea. But don't quote me if you try it and discover it wasn't. We're all adults here.

This method of hash extraction is a new one to me and my word what an experience.

The consistency is squidgy and rustic (not a bad thing at all). The flavour is there, but it’s a fresh, clean flavour that’s hard describe, but amazing nonetheless.

The best thing about this hash is the high. Fucking hell! I suffer from chronic pain and insomnia, this hash took those burdens away and gave me the best sleep I’ve had in ages. What’s also great about this hash is that I woke up without a hazey head and was able to jump straight into my day as soon as I woke up.

This is a vendor we all need to keep an eye on, he’s going places!

I've made bubble hash several times in the past, usually from (other people's) trim or failed crops and just using stuff I have at home or could buy for pennies online. Fresh frozen has given me my best results - and some of them have been startlingly good.

As there's all sorts of shake & trim on lb I've been thinking about doing a run of hash.

Does anyone do this?

Do you think I'll get good value or that I'd just be better off buying hash?

Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks for reading.

I make oil with some and decarb the rest mix together for something that you can smoke or swallow and either way it puts you on your arse for a good while. Always made bho in the past but just upgraded my equipment and used ethanol for the first time for the oil extraction 14g of a skuda shake bar I won. Going to decarb the other 16g this weekend and I expect/hope to end up with about 12-14g of squidgy decarb hash. If you use bubble bags to get the grade A hash, I hope you then decarb the shake and at least make some edibles with it or press it or extract oil from it. If you bin it😱 I have just increased your yield massively you are welcome 😉

I've never used bubble bags. Only filters of varying size plus gravity. I end up left with soggy leftover plant materials and bubble hash(s). Soggy bubble hash to be fair so it needs drying. I've always put the plant materials in the compost. I usually do a lower grade blender hash as a second wash though so not sure I'm missing much. Or am I?

If you haven't done any chemical extraction on it then it will still be worth decarbing just throw it in a brownie mix once its done and you can decide if it is worth doing it or not, I don't think you will be disappointed if it was going on the compost anyway.👍

I'll give that a bash next time mate. It was only recently I made some edibles from a load of vaped weed and was rather surprised to discover it blew my head off.

Yeah ,same concept mate. I used to decarb on a hotplate turned low (or on and off for a few seconds) and you have to keep it moving so it doesn't burn but the vapour is filling the room. Can end up in a real mess if your ventilation is limited or if you decide to turn it off.

I've got gas burners so it'd go every shade of wrong. My oven is pretty reliable though so guess I'd go for that.

You could decarb on gas in a heavy pan if you had no other option but probably safer in the oven. I got banned from hash making in the house after stinking the kitchen out so I kitted my lab(shed) out with a 9litre mini oven for £30 and it does the job perfectly 👌

Ahhh the pin hole is what I was missing. Gave it a try with half ounce that I had already part decarbed in the oven but it took some effort to keep underwater. I only managed to get about 2ml of rso from my extraction on the other half so couldn't get the squidgy consistency I wanted but I still ended up with around 16g of crumbly hash, pressed up in an old clamp I always use, this should tide me over for a while😶‍🌫️

Done it myself with a box of stardawg dust, ended up getting a 10% return on it so 100G bar out of 1kg.. The box cost me 400 so it probably wasnt worth it.

4 bucks a g isn't that bad a result if it came out a high quality. But probably a lot of faff for something you could have bought. That's why I'm wondering if it makes sense or not.

It sits around there in price £5 g but it’s just a 2-3month process if you wanna do it right, but the results are worth it imo out of all the sick hash I have atm im still smoking the homemade stardawg instead just so clean and pleasant to smoke 🤤

the hash was high quality but i can pick up BARZ LA for that price so wasnt worth it.

It worked out at 40p per gram on the trim, if u cant get it cheaper than that i wouldnt bother tbh

I saw a former vendor here, selling that hash on a different platform for £40 on the eighth.
Thought that was either a fraud or the price had been driven down all of a sudden since it appeared here for silly money. This makes sense what you are saying.

LB takes a 16% cut from vendors, with BTC fees vendors probably lose 20%-25% of their payout depending on time, the crypto is held in escrow for 21 days aswell so by that time btc could of dropped and you're actually losing money..

Thats why everything has to be marked up here

Hey, I'm not taking a cheap shot, and I understand why the escrow fees cause a bigger markup. Vendors have a right to charge what they like and biggas have a right not to buy it. Simple.
But £400 is £100 for 25g. The 16% plus profit doesn't fully account for the crazy prices on the gram just a couple months back.
I'm not moaning because I have other platforms and means to source stuff too.

I wasn't trying to come across as negative or anything bro, no cheap shots here no worries :). Im pretty sure ik the vendor your talking about "P"? He was selling the green ocaso hash which is the cheapest one, and the one i can usually pick up for that price.. (still fire)

The purple/red ones are abit more expensive.

You get around 10% or less yield depending how much crystal covers your starting material and how fine your filtering. So you need dirt cheap/free raw material to make it worth when there's hash out there for 100 quid an ounce
