RM SPECIAL DELIVERY BEFORE 2PM - no delivery
Bought some yesterday and was dispatched yesterday.

I paid extra for the delivery as im at work tomorrow:
$9.00 RM SPECIAL DELIVERY BEFORE 2PM

the question is if its missed what happens? do they deliver next day? i feel a big mugged out of delivery fees expecting it today i could of chosen the free delivery it would come the same time and now at a loss of work for tomorrow so going to figure that out too :( . I messaged the plug but no reply yet im hoping he will give tracking.

had a look on RM and they only have 1pm not 2pm cut off.

I just feel short changed on delivery and time :(

If you order anything in this country with 24 hr delivery, then always give RM at least 48 hours. Unfortunately no sellers on here, ebay etc can guarantee 24 hr delivery anymore.

I've had sellers post a package tracked 24 on a monday and I've not received it until wednesday/thursday. It's just the roll of the dice with our postal service.

If you're not in and the package will fit through the letterbox then most posties will just post it through. If not then they'll leave a card and you can choose a day for it to be redelivered or choose to pick up from your local post office. You'll get your package 👍

but this is special delivery NOT 24hr. I paid extra to have it next day. 24hr is marked as free and takes upto 2 days which i didnt choose as its possible to come on thursday which i didnt want hence paying the premium to have it delivered today which it hasnt hence why im asking here. I wouldnt mind the delay if it was 24hr because 1 its free and 2 its 24hrs. The issue here is i paid a premium delivery that should be here today before 1pm uk time. I live in a large city and it was marked as send around 1pm yesterday so it should be here by now. i basically paid extra for nothing.

The issue here is Royal Mail, not the seller, contacting the seller is absolutely pointless, what can they do? Nearly all of us on here have had this happen, way too often for some. It’s annoying when you’re out of smoke but it’s just the way it goes every now and then when buying bud online.

totally get it but i paid for a premium service. If thats the case i should get my money back no? if we think like that then why pay extra for quick delivery? the question now is if the plug sent it on time and using the correct postage...if they have yes its beyond their control i get that but special delivery 99% of the time is delivered next day no? just seems odd. If i used the 24hr service as i said i wouldn't be moaning and would expect Thursday heck even Friday delivery but special???

Doesn’t this vendor state you need to order by 11pm the day prior to have it sent the next day? If you ordered it yesterday before 11 it will be sent today for NDD tomorrow. Probably marked as sent regardless. I could be wrong…

And i did replied to messages and if you read terms on profile you will understand that all orders till 11pm will be sent next day

Yeah it was my bad 😆 I need glasses!! I got confused between you and another plug. I didn't want to mention you because I've used you several times before and haven't let me down...i just forgot your 11pm day before. Thanks for getting back to me greatly appreciated!

As other posters have said- premium postage options these days are pretty much a crapshoot and all the vendor can do is make the deadline- after that its in the increasingly dubious hands of RM.
I've placed orders at the same time using RM First Class (free) and Tracked 24 (paid) and the free has arrived next day and the paid 2 days after that.
The RM Special that you used was once the gold standard and really did work (when it was next day before 1pm I once got a grovelling doorstep apology when postie arrived at 1.20pm lol!), but sadly times they are a changin'...

Vendor got back and another made another notice that I totally messed up on....the dam cut off time was 11pm not 11am loooool dam it! Such a noob mistake

i get that and one time it was delayed, i spoke to my postie that time (2 months ago) i did ask him the question if he was late...he said it travels on a different network, its scanned at all locations and is monitored to make sure it gets to the destination before any other post hence the premium price and RM doesnt like to miss on their stats apparently as it costs them big time. issue right now is plug hasnt got back to me so im just assuming right now. Its all dependant on how he sent it, if he sent it 24hr when i paid for sd then yes i will be pissed!

Sure, it breaks down if the vendor misses the RM deadline and they should always come clean if that happens (as it inevitably might on the odd occassion.) As always- good comms solve everything!

Also worth noting that if the vendor chooses to have the parcels picked up then RM adds 24hrs to the delivery time, special next day delivery needs to be dropped off at a post office

So its all based on the postage used and when they sent it. I'm just going off the info they have on vendors page which I met and paid for a premium postage to get it today due to work. Well looks like still no better because plug hasn't replied back.
