Keep an eye open for small boats, you can rent them for a few hours and the dude drives you around while you space out. I prefer those to then bigger tours where you are crammed in among a bunch of other tourists.

Best coffee shop is Green House near Waterlooplein. Most of them have become dispensary style with nowhere to chill.

Not far from there is a brunch spot called Bakers & Roasters - amazing food with outside seating.

I would recommend Fou Fow Udon for some awesome food - noodles, ramen etc… Also do some really nice beers.

I’d recommend a place called Renessence. It’s like a spa type set up, with oxygen and light therapy sessions, but they have a cryotherapy chamber. Like a cold plunge but much easier to do, although much colder. Amazing experience and pretty cheap. One of my all time favourite experiences in the Dam and definitely a good option as a couple.

Maybe you are saturating your receptors too quickly? If nothing else you could get some halfway decent scales (the Gemini-20 is generally considered the budget king), start weighing out your "doses", begin the day with the smallest possible dose necessary to achieve the desired effects, and climb incrementally from there.

I'm quite big on mixing landrace strains (or even just CBD dominant products) with cannabis bred more specifically for THC, which I find often unlocks a lot of hidden potential.

Last time I tried them (2025/02), DapperDank's thai pucks were pretty nice alone but I found became incredible in combination with more or less anything. Obviously YMMV, but for now that's generally my first suggestion when things need some potentiating, in this case to induce both a stimulating head high as well as a soothing, tangible body load. The best of both, basically.

I'm also going to paste a bit of chatgpt below, but i might delete? It's not brilliant stuff but it's better than I could write and may be infinitesimally useful.

If it is just a tolerance thing get some cbd flower, extract or a vape I find it helps me to extend T-breaks and still sleep. If you have done a week and you get some flower from some of the legal cbd sites it will feel like it hits you and it will tide you over then when you get some decent thc it will absolutely destroy you. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to take long to get your tolerance back no matter how long you break for. Good luck mate 👍
