Before trying higher doses try sitting with the medicine in a proper ceremonial setting. I’ve had experienced users have their minds blown on just 2g.

Set & setting before dosage really makes a difference. 3.5g is a nice place especially if tripping with others. 5g plus. Room to yourself no music and pull the blinds and curtains the shrooms will do the rest.

So your dosing fits in with what I experienced when I did 1.6g of a shroom chocolate bar back in July. Link to my experience above.

I'm currently microdosing with Stamets' Stack 0.25g of shrooms, 0.7g Lions Mane, and 0.1g Niacin. My question is integration of tripping into this regime: how do I do that, and when? Tripping is fun, and I don't want to dilute the experience, and I think, unfortunately, I did that over Christmas. Had 10g of fresh truffles on 23/12 and that was so lovely and gentle, and pleasantly psychologically warming. So, with that in mind I did 3 drops of just under 10mcg of LSD on Christmas Day. Wasn't enough. Did 5 drops more. The experience was nice, but nowhere near a mild trip which is what I'd have expected from that dose. I put it down to the close timeframe? It was still very nice and similar to the truffles, but not to that level. I've been holding off since then doing anything other than microdoses as I don't want to waste that 2.4g of the chocolate bar that's still in the fridge.

Thank you for commenting and sharing. It's fantastic to see you have utilised shrooms with microdosing and having fun learning about your self & body on these wonderful new meds.
I have been consuming mushrooms and the like for 20 years, when to take and how much becomes kinda intuitive but I'm still learning about how best to apply for myself and particularly others as we are all different. I believe us astronauts have to pay attention to tolerance levels/spacing/timings but also noticing how we are constantly changing and evolving along our journey, it's why it's important to take regular breaks to let your system clear and return to base level. This allows you to asses yourself at base level and get the most from the next trip that you plan. This applies to microdosing too, you should allow your system to clear before a trip.
I always recommend keeping a journal as it's easy to forget details later, really useful for reference and great fun to look back on.
Side note: I prefer mushrooms as they are organic and it takes a few days max to leave your system clear, where as LSD can be stored.

A valuable customer testimony and diary....

As it was my first time getting consuming psilocybin I was very careful with the doses and of course did my research before hand, I wanted to take a logical approach to ingesting the drug and decided to record if I was feeling anything along with the time, heres the diary anyway.. enjoy ;

"magic mushroom Diary"

11:00- ate 2 stems, feeling relaxed.

11:13- I can feel my mood has been lifted somewhat? Hard to explain, also my tinnitus is more audible..

11:19- Noticing light sensitivity, as I move my head it feels light and 'airy' also, my thoughts have become somewhat clearer.

11:33 - feeling relaxed

12:26 - Feeling relaxed, I took another little head of a shroom.

13:35- Felling relaxed after a nap, creative thinking was easier than ever, mental images come to me with less resistance. Maybe I should try these before writing music or story boarding.

13:38 - Ate 2 more stems, one with a head of a small head of a shroom.

13:59- I'm not feeling anything 'trippy' just relaxed still.

[Sidenote, at this point I was comfortable taking a bigger dosage as I wanted to experience what it was to have a 'trip']

14:09- I just ate 2 big heads and 2 small stems, and I'm going to the park to get some fresh air.

start of trip----

14:38- Walked to sainsburys for lunch, as soon as the cool air inside the shop hit me, i started to feel it. and thought "oh shit, here we go" hahaha, I bought my items at a cashier and I trying to keep a straight face ( I found it difficult not to smile)

14:44- I sat down on a park bench, overlooking the rose gardens, put in my airpods in and music sounded 'sweeter' and the colors of the world around me started to become more vibrant and rich. My muscles felt loose and my joints felt like they were well oiled. I can notice a slight dryness under my tounge and at the back of my throat. I also noticed my breathing was sooooo easy and i was taking in these big lungs of fresh air. Also started to feel giggly, I can recall a woman walking past me and i almost burst out laughing, which under normal circumstance would have been very strange but it felt so natural.

14:50 - halucinations, I glanced at the floor and it was fucking melting, the small rocks and stones that made up the path below me were individually moving. Crazy. I decide to walk back home so if anything does happen to me I'd at least be in a safe environment. (at this point I was getting anxiety , but managed to handle it quite well)

[Sidenote #2 these quotes are taken directly from the diary, I was in an altered state at this point.]

17:35 - mellowing out now, i can feel my sobriety taking back control.

Overall, it was an eye opening experience, I saw fractals , I saw static objects move, when i went to play guitar i saw the vibrations form from the strings into the air. My sense of identity melted away, ideas of societal norms and construct seemed so trivial and for once in my life i didn't have a care in the world about work or money. I just wanted to experience love. I discovered why I was so sarcastic around people, why I disrespected my environment, It was because I was dismissive of myself and my wants and needs. It now feels as if a second version of me had for once taken the main stage which was my creative and emotional sense of self.Where my cold and logical ego had taken the ropes for so long I would unknowingly suppress my emotions for the benefit of trying to be productive. I now understand that to truly life this life of mine I need to incorporate both my emotional and logical sense of self.

This is going to forever change my perception of life. and i can't wait to start sharing it with others. I'm going to start recommending this drug to others as an alternative medicine.

Thankyou for taking the time to grow these truly magical plants, it deeply disturbs me that these plants are recognized as a class A drug in the legal system. But it makes sense I suppose, that government such as our own wouldn't want people to really start not only questioning but feeling the reality they live in!

Yes, when I was inside my head on the grass. I was gonna around the staircase inside my brain and I could hear/feel/see the "noise" created by the alcohol and antidepressants inside there.

Yeah I thought that next time I would go for a heroes dose without anything else because I did feel like I had some kind of control still and wouldn't fully surrender to it but I do feel like I could definitely purge/reset myself properly if I go back in and try and get inside my head straight away.

Yeah the dying bit didn't feel scary, it felt just like it was supposed to happen, like that was the plan all along and I'd be pulled into the light if I could just rotate one more time and push the button on crown of my head but stopped myself doing it when confronted with the thought of my kids seeing my dead body there.

I think maybe the most profound thing I've felt is the spiritual side of things, feeling the light etc. but it does feel like I've got more work to do with the mushrooms.but will wait a while before doing it because ai don't think I've fully processed Saturdays events yet

The first message...

Yeah sure, well I had originally intended to take them on Sunday whilst 'sober" and try to meditate through alot of the experience and try and cast out my demons/reset my depressed brain.

When I finished work on Saturday, I went upstairs, got changed and had a bong hit, I then went and sat in the garden with my wife who had made a jug of Sangria so I sat had a couple of glasses of that.

I think I then had some of this Blueberry Gin she'd bought and we then decided we'd go for a walk round the corner where we have this hilly green area. I thought to.my self "you know what, before we go, I'm gonna have a couple of small shrooms to see what happens" Literally just had a stem and the smallest head there was and probably another smoke whilst I was at it.

I chewed them and didn't mind the taste so basically treated like a chewing gum and eventually swallowed.

We went on this walk and immediately I could feel a difference even a short time after swallowing the shrooms. Obvs I was already a little bit wavey from the other stuff but the shrooms definitely changed things somewhat. I felt more "alive" I suppose, giggly and colours seemed vibrant. We were only.out for about 30mins so I don't suppose my stomaches would have processed then but I could already feel more of a difference than off the Teas before.

Anyway I felt amazing and when I got back I poured myself another drink, went to have another smoke, I saw the shrooms and had "just couple of more bits, but I'll try them with some fresh lime because Ii had read about "lemon tekking"

So I did that and actually get enjoyed them. I hadn't actually eaten anything since about 11am and by now it was about 6pm so they were actually pretty nice like that and I feel the acidity from the lime broke them down quicker and could potentially have released some extra shroom juices? The shrooms did provide almost a slight popping candy sensation like this!?

Anyway, I went and chilled. I do normally drink on Saturdays and smoke weed everyday as previously mentioned but even just that small amount of shrooms was changing things and I loved it.

Anyway, I decided to then just eat the whole bag....... So I just kept popping them into my mouth then sucking on Lime slices like you would after a Tequila, chewed them and ate them all one after another.

The next 4 hours up until 11ish I was just enjoying watching films or on my phone I ate some Chicken in the meantime .
I think may have had 1 more bong hit but didn't fancy much more alcohol after eating so think I just had 1 more alcoholic drink, my mind felt less pressured and I was getting visuals when I closed my eyes but I was distracted by my phone/wife etc. so probably wasn't fully appreciating the full effects.

Anyway, when she went to bed at 11ish. I stayed up and put these "watch this on shrooms" YouTube videos and tbf they did actually start to make my brain tingle all over and send me into a bit of a trance so I tried to meditate but I couldn't concentrate properly. I needed to eat and masturbate.... So after I felt the origin of the cereal I was eating and witnessing my semen crawling around. I decided to go outside for a bit and breathe some fresh air and that's when thing got really weird.....

So after sitting down breathing for a bit, I felt compelled to do some yoga, ( which I haven't done in a couple of years.)

I was strecthing up as far as I could but started to feel like I was gonna pass out so I collapsed onto the ground and kind of pit myself into an on my knees prayer position with my forehead on the grass because I felt.that maybe the connection with the earth could heal my head.

I was there in that position meditating and holding my breathe etc. It felt like something was either something leaving/going into my third eye area and my body was shaking.

I felt like I was completely inside my.head and as I rolled it from side to side.on the grass, it felt like it was healing me.

But then, my whole body started contorting, and twisting in strange positions, that I've never done before and I spent ages twisting myself in awkward positiins on the grass doing forward/backward rolls etc all this whilst completely in a meditative/now trance like state. I felt like I was chasing down something inside my head and I needed to heal every single part of it and do a headstand to "push the button" on the crown on my head. (There's no way I can do a headstand btw ) so I was doing crab positions and rolling around

Then the ground started to feel as if it was guiding to me in a certain position with with ear/temple pressed to.it but I had to be in a certain position. Infell.like I had found something inside my head/under the ground I I was saying I've found it, I can see it, this is it , in a strange and demon like tone. A bit like anthe Gollum of LOTR
It felt like I had found in like the meaning of life if only I could get to it. but then I as I was twisting on the floor, going around the spiral staircase of my head, vertically inclining my body with each twist, it felt like my legs were being lifted into the air could see moments of my life flashing before my eyes and ai thought I was going to die. It seemed like it was my destiny and it was the whole reason I had moved to this place/actually dreamed about this exact spot.in the garden in the past. That this was my final resting place. I didn't fell scared about it but as my life was unfolding before my eyes I kept saying I need to do it, I need to do it, that I must surrender to it, feeling that the mind reset button on the top of my head, would actually be either enlightenment/death and that was okay either way, but I needed to press that button to get the knowledge because it was life's reset button, Android the connection with the universe that everybody has been chasing? The holy grail?

All of a sudden I started thinking about my kids and how upset they would be here to find me here in the resting place, so I felt like I could not surrender and let go and almost snapped out of it immediately so I don't know think I did actually "finish' the trip and it kind of feels like I need to.know more and without the weed and booze but for sure it was a spiritual experience. It literally felt.like I was being pulled towards the light.

By the time I went to bed lt was 3:45 am and time had flown by but I must have spent at least the last 2:5 hours rolling round on the floor.

To.be honest I dunno if it felt.like.an exorcism or a possession for a bit with all the contortions but I wasn't scared.
I don't really know what to interpret from it all but I woke up the nest day feeling great, more alive than I have for a while.
I'm not expecting a miracle cure or anything but it was definitely enough to show.me.that it certainly could be possible.to "cure" someental health issues /reinvogorate my depressed brain so I'll give it another go again soon

Soooo..... How do I know how much mushrooms to take?

The right dosage depends on your tolerance and the kind of effects you want...

You can go from mild beneficial effects to strong psychoactive effects fairly quickly, so make sure you’re mindful of how much you use.

This is a commonly used dosing guide that you will get if you search the question.

Threshold = 0.25g
Light = 0.25g-1g
Common = 1g-2.5g
Strong = 2.5g-5g
Heavy = 5g+

If you want to play with higher microdosing levels, you should measure out between 0.4-0.8grams.

Now to TheFunGuy Levels of dosing....

For newbies this level is all about testing your limits and logging experiences. Consuming new psychoactive drugs is certainly exciting and for some a little scary. That's why it's sensible if you want to enjoy the shroom experience and it's benefits, to go at your own pace.

Mild effects start from the 1g mark for most people, depending on your tolerance which is what we are going to find out eventually but if you are unsure start here.

I would recommend a dose of 1.5g-2g, for anyone who is rediscovering shrooms or a confident newb. This is where you’ll start to experience mild hallucinations as well as stronger psychedelic effects. The effects are definitely noticeable but manageable.

The range is so large because everyone is different. For some, the 1.5 grams will be enough everytime. Others, at 3 grams, they feel like they're just getting going.

2g-3.5 grams is a good amount to get you proper wavey and should give you the classic psychedelic trip, if this is what you're looking for. This amount for lots of people is the limit at the very least will give you deep introspective thoughts, heighten senses, appreciation and compassion like a child. For others hold on tight you’ll experience intense hallucinations and a warped sense of reality. These effects can be overwhelming for beginners and it’s best to only experiment with this dose when you’re in a safe environment with a trusted friend.

Again if you are new to this start small and work your way up...

Try a small dose. How do you feel?

Do you feel afraid? Are you okay even though you feel afraid?

Do you feel more alive?

Do you see the world more clearly?

Do you feel more "yourself"?

Terrance McKenna famously named the last stage "The Heroic Dose" Or "The Hero's Journey" which is anything above 3.5grams.

Those who are experienced with psychedelics may want to go slightly higher.... WARNING.... at this dose, you’ll experience powerful hallucinations and may lose touch with reality, you are also much more likely to have a bad trip...

On the plus side this is the dosage where you go on a journey into the soul, eternity, the cosmos and potentially the multiverse...

Im starting to feel like I'm treading into the footsteps of pioneers like Terence McKenna, whom I hadn't even heard of until recently. I don't know where this journey will take me. But I am excited by the prospect.

30-odd years ago (before shrooms were commonly cultivated), mushroom season was always eagerly anticipated: Dale would take his camper off to Wales and return in time for Guy Fawkes night, with bin bags full of our fungi-friends.

GF night was the big one, because there would be a funfair and fireworks display in the town's biggest park. Imagine a dozen or so of us, whoopin' & hollerin' like kids on the rides, before standing in rapt silence, heads pointed skywards, in jaw-dropped silence (apart from the occasional "wow" or "whoa"), as we gaped at the multi-coloured, 3D display...

I think it was '86 that there was a big storm, which brought many trees down and closed the parks, so the venue was moved to the outskirts of town.

The usual fun was had but after the show, the buses were rammed, so we decided to walk back into town. We bumbled and giggled our way along until we came across a pub and decided to break our journey.

Despite being called The Haven, the pub was far from safe, being one of those estate pubs with a bit of a rep that the police left alone, as long as the pub left the police alone: shaved heads, bulging muscles and a brooding atmosphere that could turn nasty at the hint of a spilled pint or looking the wrong way at someone's "bird".

We burst through the doors tripping our bollocks off and after a brief, stunned silence the place erupted: "What do you look like?" etc (pirate-style headscarves were big that year) from the home team and much blinking at the bright lights and hostile attention from the visitors.

Now exactly what happened is little hazy, but broadly speaking we powered through on the crest of a trippy wave: Sean put something rowdy on the jukebox, Dale threw a load of his mushroom money behind the bar and just like that, it was a party.

Whether it was Matt the Yank's transatlantic charm, "boy who climbs trees" oddball antics or the sheer amount of cleavage the Dockside Posse girls had on display, that won them over I couldn't say, but there were more hugs than knuckles in the Haven that night, which is what's important, right?

And my part in the proceedings? Well, I alternated between spending far to long looking at the carpet (as the pattern pulsed and breathed with me) and getting hot flushes which convinced me I'd wet myself. That was until I walked outside and announced to no-one in particular that I was going to die and promptly passed-out.

I just put in another order for the Treasure Coast Cubensis. I tried the 4g start dose, last Friday night and I loved it.

I had never taken Mushrooms before but I had done some heavy LSD trips when I was younger.

however myself the no.1 thing i like to do when microdosing shrooms is to puff so you gotta see if the shrooms work for you but for sure a half g or even a full g when you're needing it, it's definitely worth a shot.

Have you thought about natural highs... Like learning guitar or working on improving your body shape lifting? Boredom and disconnect lasts about a month with weed withdrawal which feels long when you are in it, but soon passes if you're bsy

i second the nutrition , i usually make pots of chanko and a lot of things like stews etc plenty of veg and good clean proteins.

no problem i used to smoke a lot and i do like an Oz in a week sometimes twice a month then i'll have a week or so off .The more you keep having regular Tolerance breaks the easier it is to do it next time.Its like anything even coffee or chocolate your body will miss it if its a regular thing. try taking st johns wart before bed but don't do it a lot its to boost your serotonin and help you sleep. But don't do it a lot because that can effect your sleep if your body starts to rely on it.

im gonna sound a bit of a hypercrit as ive been smoking on and off for 35 yrs, ive done pretty much everything, there is a wonderful book called allen carr easy way to quit smoking, its for ciggerettes, but if you change that word everytime he mentions it to weed , its pretty much identical, i never smoke fags anymore even in joints, i also no only smoke weed every now and then rather than daily, more of a reward than an addiction, so i may smoke weed a few days then take 2 months off, perspnally the best thing that goes with it, is a gym membership or join a martial art, make sure you go 5 times a week.
that book is the one though, best of luck, its not hard at all, infact your already halfway there and dont realise it. the times i tend to smoke are when im injured, at mo ive got a shoulder injury that wont heal for 3 months, so i dont train, and justify having a few joints, but writing this i now realise im being a donut, thanks for wake up call :)

Thanks for your comment my friend. I’ve actually read the cannabis edited version of Alan Carrs stop smoking cannabis. The words are very suggestive and the hypnotherapy is interesting but in the end it didn’t work for me. I just love smoking a joint every now and again no matter how much I try to deny it so I’ve just tried to moderate and really make the most of the times when I smoke weed. I just try and avoid smoking in the day but working from home is very tempting if I have anything in. It is an emotional rollercoaster though isn’t it. I wish you the best either way try not to beat yourself up like I do to myself.

A couple of years ago Mushrooms changed my life. Every 2 weeks I was having a bigger and bigger mushroom trip. Going from 2 grams to 6 grams. It was when I was at 3.5G trip. I stopped eating crappy foods. Would only drink tea or Water. Started working out.
The only thing I couldn't stop was smoking.

But quit smoking last year in October when my chest was mega tight and couldn't smoke a J without feeling like my throat was on fire.
I used patches for 3 days
For the 1st week I would light up a J smoke a bit and flush it down the toilet after feeling guilty. And then just quit all together.

To be fair it stopped the crazy dreams you get after 2 weeks of stopping weed. @ 1st I missed the ciggys. But now I just fancy a spliff every so often.

Micro dosing seems beneficial for over all life.e Stops that bad crave to smoke. or eat bad foods or be around bad things generally. We always give extra caps in every packs

I'm doing this right now mate. I've had 3 decent doses, 3.5, 5.1 and 5.1 again, 2 weeks apart. Set my intentions and on first session had a challenging time, realised why I smoked so heavily though. Went back in to pick up where I left off and on the second trip found that I could deal with the negative thoughts and went through it all one by one. Had the 3rd trip and that was a really positive experience. I carried on smoking between each session but when I ran out I didn't buy more, which never happens. After the 3rd trip I haven't smoked, it has only been 12 days but feel totally refreshed, no longer craving weed every minute of the day. Not craving mushrooms either. I could go into a lot more detail. The mushrooms are a very powerful medicine for the mind. Treat them with respect, set and setting, have good intentions and know what you want to achieve. Be ready for a challenging time. They hold a mirror up to your personality and there is no escape, so be ready for it. Good luck.

Book yourself a holiday to a country where you can't buy weed.
2 weeks in a warm/sunny country has helped me kick hash a few times.

I personaly smoke way more while I'm on shrooms so I'm not sure if that could work. However if you wanted to quit weed for good you just have to keep yourself busy it's not a big deal even if you're a heavy toker. It's all about your mind set.
You said your busy and it doesn't fit your lifestyle anymore. So it should be easy peezy to drop it as it sounds like becoming a hassle to find time for a quick smoke break in secret. Hanging out with stoners will get you the opposite results even if it's just online looking at buds.
If you need to you can force yourself to quit by going on a vacation for a week or 2 to a place where you can't get weed and have no choice but not to smoke :D

There was an episode on JRE not too long ago about a plant that can reset the brain of serious addicts but need to be used in a clinical setting.

I just think putting down weed is much easier than putting down tobacco.

Also microdosing mushrooms could be another way to uplift your mood and it works for people but even then you would just replace one secret with another and you still need to forget about weed if that's your goal.

Hey it's been a while! How is the quitting going? What have tried out so far? I just started trying NAC, and think its working. I gather my smoking bits after work and I've just been forgetting to use them.. Normally flicking around the internet doesn't get me to forget to smoke. They reduce cravings, somehow? Idk if you're doing well or not, but it not, maybe worth a try?

Ideally I’d smoke once or twice a week but 7g is better than 24g so slight progess. Its not easy though is it could happily smoke myself silly. Not aware of NAC whats that like weed ominous? Done a few sessions didn’t sit right with me just made me want to smoke more. Hope it goes well for you anyway mate.

So relatable, I'm always creeping up smoking more and threatening to quit but only managing to cut back. I love it when I can get to 7g or less, it suits me better but same as you by the sounds of it, its an ongoing little battle. That NAC its a supplement, like vitamins. It stands for N-acetylcysteine. I swear by it now. Not completely quitting, I'm just trying to smoke less and its working out pretty well. If you give it a go, lmk how it goes. Take it easy :)

Separate nicotine from weed.

Switching from cigarettes to nicotine vapes is super easy, tapering down the nicotine level is a slow but straightforward process.

Once you only vape weed/ hash it’s good, but not the same and without the nicotine it’s pretty easy to break the daily habit. Just my 2c.

Maybe a large dose of mushrooms may change your perspective on smoking, until you’re on a rough comedown and reach for the cigs again. Microdosing to break a smoking habit? yeah zero evidence of that working at all.

mate its easy to come off though if you have been smoking for years without a break it will take you 4-5 weeks to get over the return of REM sleep you might get some crazy dreams but that is about the worst thing that happens.
My problem is tobacco its harder to come off than cocaine so dont try and do both at the same time not sure mushrooms are the answer especially if you are not used to them.

Personally I've been using nicotine pouches with great results, I now turn to pouches whenever I get nicotine cravings, seems to do the trick, I now no longer find cigarettes to be appealing I get a stronger and longer lasting nicotine buzz.

Yeah good suggestions pal. Not smoked for 5 days and feel ok now, first few days felt like a crackhead. Im just going to Buy one or two pre rolls a week so i haven’t got weed lingering. It’s nice to know I can go without and be okay but stress and boredom are triggers for me.

Same here it’s hard to fill that gap, I’m down to one a night which is ok but ultimately I felt a little weird and on edge with out it, let alone the boredom 😒 It’s finding the balance I guess
