I used the Tor browser ( rpund purple icon, half solid and half a target; as no idea if tor is a brand or terminology) and once it loaded & opened - I had a bar at the bottom that I cut and pasted into and pressed go. Then came here to test

I can’t see anything on Items wall to change your country. Where is it on that page? I think I need to set my country as my orders won’t go to payment. Would appreciate any help with Society. In UK using Onion browsers on iOS. Thanks

From the Items Wall, select your vendor. Under their ‘Manifesto’ at the top of the page is ‘Select Country’ with a drop down menu👍

On IOS you must select the lowest security level (bronze) instead of the default (silver) on Onion otherwise it auto disables JavaScript….

Just had a huge payment disappear into the ether while jumping between Clearnet and Society because clearnet just dropped out during the process. Its obvious the whole thing is breaking down. Between that and the RM strikes ruining Christmas I think it's best to go old skool for a bit. It's been a fun run though.

One thing might be to also state members can use the same username and password to access their LB account, on Society.

With the login page looking completely different than LB's, it's not immediately obvious to those of us who aren't particularly tech savvy that it's basically a mirror site.

A quick tip! (This is what we did because we didn’t know if it was created by LB) Go to register/sign up with the same username and a random password. If it’s taken, it’s safe. If it’s not it’s a phishing site!
We’ve not seen an LB fake yet though…

The Society page was super helpful and great to see the holding page updated with the info mid weekend.

I got the link from reddit on sat morning and was convinced I was about to be phished. Set up dummy accounts and allsorts before committing.

Super glad to have the .org back up as it appears a lot of users aren't keen to use tor, although it's perfectly safe.

Society sort of worked for me, but I couldn't post at all. Nothing would happen when I hit the comment button. Tried some fuckery with my settings and it still wouldn't, so thank fuck the clearnet version is back!

It's good there is a backup. But the whole point of littlebiggy is that it's a clearnet marketplace without the ball ache of going on the darknet.
Everytime I see this site go down I always hope it comes back with better functionality.

the "people" in little biggy are both registered users and "borgs" - hybrids of anonymized users and code. borgs execute directives established by little biggy users - that's how little biggy evolves.

within their individual domains borgs can write and delete lb data and code. borgs can perform some functions automatically, all other actions are subject to consesus.

borgs operate with narrow missions. some are public facing and help users directly though most borgs do not have direct contact with users.

Make sure your vendor has been on recently as a few don't seem to bother with Society.
I've made multiple buys without issue, everything the same.
Went with GT's Falcon on my last order.

Migration to Society (hopefully not a long term necessity) seems not to be popular based on the traffic volume on the topics board. I do find it painfully slow and clunky and the functionality intermittent. I finally managed to enable Javascript- not obvious on IOS- you can only do it by selecting the lowest (bronze) security level otherwise it is auto disabled. Who knew? 🤷‍♂️
Any other tips?
I can’t remain logged in and log in is painfully slow.
I have to re enter log in details every time.
I can’t view the site without being logged in.
I can’t open topics from my own page.
I can’t view all chats.
Comments function often fails to open.
Vendors pages load erratically.

Apart from that it’s great🙄😂

I haven’t tried to order yet but if there are any tips there too? How do we know if all vendors are on Society if we need to contact them? Vendors that I have messaged haven’t replied.

Cant help but feel the society and admin negativity is a bit harsh. I discovered LB around a year ago and apart from the odd hour here or there this has been the only real interruption to normal service.
When you consider what service they are offering and then add that there is a working fail over in Society, I think we should be thanking them really!
Don't get me wrong, ill take .org every time for the reasons you have all spoken about but its not all that bad on society. :-)

Biggy is fantastic. The site functionality itself isn’t and most of us can see very simple ways to improve it for everybody. But the big issue is communication. Borgs hardly ever talk to us. Society offers the perfect opportunity to tell us all what’s going on with .org being down but nobody does. We’ve had to beg for snippets of information. I have no idea why it has to be that way🤷‍♂️

This really, there are some things that help.
When using onion switch to bronze shield mode this speeds things up a bit.
You will lose certain functionality with posts replies, sometimes you just get weird error messages pop up. It is what it is. At least there is some kind of backup. And use a laptop if you can as mobiles are crap for Onion.
Other than that everything works ok for me although it is a little slow.

I'm close to going back to my original place to order as LB has become painful. Constantly down on clear net for maintenance a d when it does come back online it feels exactly the same. Zero explanation front the admins as to what's going on and it just feels like a chore to order anything.

Try using a PC or MacBook pollypuff mate! Onion sites are terribly slow on mobile devices it’s torture.

I feel your pain however if your on wifi and PC it does speed up a hell of a lot. I must say I find society onion site really dragging and uninspiring though

It's great that there's a back up, but it's so slow and alot of simple functions just don't work. I think I'll be spending my BTC elsewhere whilst waiting for org to come back, it takes way too long for pages to load for me, I'm not even able to check stock on my usual vendors as it crashes 🤷‍♂️

It must be especially terrible for the vendors!

pretty bored of all this hassle (while we're on a break by the way) being caused by people who've never bought and/or second account of jealous vendors like the one stated.
Now having people comment on my products telling them they're not what they are when they're one of a kind extracts not seen anywhere else. I've now got this bitch days after not speaking to him continuously downvoting every comment/post/topic. After we proved to she's a vendor not a customer trying to get her own way.
All will happily be explained. But a month and 200 sales later not seen a single admin or moderation on here at all?

having just had the pleasure in dealing with Happy Borg i can confirm i have no idea if it was human or not either way we did get my request finalized so i can comment on here (lost password) . based in my experience I've just had i find it hard to believe a real person was'nt behind a screen reading each message that i sent to them. i say it did feel more personal than a said AI bot, but one of the questions did seam like only a bot would ask haha i dont know either way im happy just like Happy Borgy
