If we are stuck on Society- any tips please?

Migration to Society (hopefully not a long term necessity) seems not to be popular based on the traffic volume on the topics board. I do find it painfully slow and clunky and the functionality intermittent. I finally managed to enable Javascript- not obvious on IOS- you can only do it by selecting the lowest (bronze) security level otherwise it is auto disabled. Who knew? 🤷‍♂️
Any other tips?
I can’t remain logged in and log in is painfully slow.
I have to re enter log in details every time.
I can’t view the site without being logged in.
I can’t open topics from my own page.
I can’t view all chats.
Comments function often fails to open.
Vendors pages load erratically.

Apart from that it’s great🙄😂

I haven’t tried to order yet but if there are any tips there too? How do we know if all vendors are on Society if we need to contact them? Vendors that I have messaged haven’t replied.

Cant help but feel the society and admin negativity is a bit harsh. I discovered LB around a year ago and apart from the odd hour here or there this has been the only real interruption to normal service.
When you consider what service they are offering and then add that there is a working fail over in Society, I think we should be thanking them really!
Don't get me wrong, ill take .org every time for the reasons you have all spoken about but its not all that bad on society. :-)

Biggy is fantastic. The site functionality itself isn’t and most of us can see very simple ways to improve it for everybody. But the big issue is communication. Borgs hardly ever talk to us. Society offers the perfect opportunity to tell us all what’s going on with .org being down but nobody does. We’ve had to beg for snippets of information. I have no idea why it has to be that way🤷‍♂️

This really, there are some things that help.
When using onion switch to bronze shield mode this speeds things up a bit.
You will lose certain functionality with posts replies, sometimes you just get weird error messages pop up. It is what it is. At least there is some kind of backup. And use a laptop if you can as mobiles are crap for Onion.
Other than that everything works ok for me although it is a little slow.

I'm close to going back to my original place to order as LB has become painful. Constantly down on clear net for maintenance a d when it does come back online it feels exactly the same. Zero explanation front the admins as to what's going on and it just feels like a chore to order anything.

this.. i know a couple, not as good as LB but they work just as good.

Shame this is happening my guess is the clearnet had a data overload from too many members so now they are working on that, that's what It seems like from the new maintenance wall.

Try using a PC or MacBook pollypuff mate! Onion sites are terribly slow on mobile devices it’s torture.

I feel your pain however if your on wifi and PC it does speed up a hell of a lot. I must say I find society onion site really dragging and uninspiring though

This society is painfully slow, a lot of the time the page times out, I can't contact the vendors because the chat button doesn't work, I've tried to buy off a couple of vendors and the page times out, when is the LittleBiggy page coming back, because this Society web page is no good.

im not a fan of this way either slow to much painfull waiting for a page to load up i cant even access it on my phone half the time, not good being a seller at all on this format when you have cut off times ect and the whole thing just runs slow anyway enough moaning from me hahah

It's great that there's a back up, but it's so slow and alot of simple functions just don't work. I think I'll be spending my BTC elsewhere whilst waiting for org to come back, it takes way too long for pages to load for me, I'm not even able to check stock on my usual vendors as it crashes 🤷‍♂️

It must be especially terrible for the vendors!

I had this a few times when trying to place an order yesterday. I left it a bit, and then it worked just fine later on. Placed the order yesterday and it's went through fairly quick actually. Try again later.

Also in regards to finsel themselves, they are an established buyer with a good rep as shown by the escrow they received from the dispute.

They through all their dealings asking for advice and help didn't call you out once which is really hard not to do.

Then you do this 🤷‍♀️ honestly take the hit and walk away as the only rep you will damage from this point is the one you have worked so hard to gain on here

THats not the case, he lied to me saying he had not recived.
And the reason that dispute went in his favour is it is a bot that makes the the decison and not a human and he has been on the site longer thats all. THATS THE ONLY REASON IT WENT IN HIS FAVOUR. He is a liar and a cheat.
And if thats how some people roll on here well so be it !!

This site always favours buyers over vendors, regardless of your tenancy time here, sales volume or anything else.
hence why we have taken a step back and more active on other platforms that appreciate vendors more.

As one of the longest sellers here, this is the only site I know that charges the most fees for us to vend.

Everything here is buyer favour, not seller.
They don't care about vendors.

But on serious note I didnt start this DeadRabbit. I have been dealing with him for over 2wks trying to resolve the issue and then for him to confirm what i suspected that he had recieved. Then he changes the review after I post the on the topics yesterday an article about this matter. Its robbery and he needs to be exposed.

All after 2 reviews by him both 1-10 and a dispute from this lying, blood sucking, pond life shit weasel !
