The MC market is in its infancy so there have been quite a few teething problems and complaints regarding product and prices. I’ve personal experience as a MC patient. The cost varies from £5 a g to £14 a g depending on quality. There is also an argument for and against irradiated bud, basically zapped for bugs and mold. I’ve only ever tried the non-irradiated and it’s fairly mild compared to black market bud. However a new one came out lately that is very good but £11.50 a g. You have to weigh up if it’s worth it or not but for me it’s worth it for the legal cover if I’m ever stopped or tested at work. Initial consultation costs £50 and you have to have a follow up every 3 months. There’s a site called medbud wiki which provides all the info you need. Reddit sub good too. 👍 I don’t want to name the clinic I’m with here but suffice to say excellent customer service but stock can be an issue. They have to import everything as all UK product gets exported for epilepsy drugs. Hope this helps.

I qualify for a prescription but my view is that apart from legitimising my use (which I really don’t give a monkey’s about) I can’t see the point. It costs more than LB, the quality is reportedly lower than a lot of product on LB and the choice is vastly less than LB🤷‍♂️….the clinics also seem to suffer with stock issues.

I see it as a last resort if all this disappeared but that’s just me…

Hello JB, my good friend up in Stirling who has just finished chemo gets from a Clinic there. She has used it a few times and didn’t rate the cannabis so just uses LB now instead. However I hear about more of these clinics opening all the time so let’s see what the future holds for them and the current laws

I have looked into this in length and the issues that I have with it from what I have read is. North of the border there is only 1 clinic but more importantly for me is the hoops that you have to jump though.

My attitude at the moment but I would love to read any comments from anyone who has a prescription in Scotland but if the price is just as expensive if not more then LB and less choices? And no hoops 🤷‍♂️

You can use any clinic in the UK, doesn’t matter if you’re in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 no great hassle either. You just ask you’re doctor for your summary of care. The receptionist at my Dr just printed it off as it shows all the meds you’re on or have used in the past. Book a consultation with you’re preferred clinic and job done. If approved they write the prescription and send it to a designated pharmacy who then send the product via courier or Royal Mail. Quality is improving as time goes on. Still pricey though sadly. Waiting for the day the NHS can prescribe. 🙏

I have a prescription. It all depends on how much you want to spend I suppose. I go with the cheapest clinic and get the cheapest product prescribed to me then I top up with stuff from here.

I have a friend who was on it for some time, but she recently got the boot from it due to their crazy rules and regs. She had chest pain and got sent to A&E and the receptionist put down suspected heart attack, which instantly removed her from the program. It was actually just a chest infection, but that's now on her record forever and makes her no longer eligible.

We really just need to decriminalize this plant and allow people to grow at home in their garden or house, whatever. Just make it illegal to sell it and job done, or open it up to the market and tax it like everything else the government taxes us for.

What Im planning on doing (my friend already does it) is use a clinic to accept grow products get a legal script and just carry my own weed (not from the dispensary) as long as you keep ur paper work with you , your allowed pretty much anywhere with it also too consume it, no way could anyone tell it’s not a grow product. From a few friend’s experience is over priced and not of great quality

I think it depends on what you are hoping to improve on?…the Starry on paper does all that the Mighty does and for a much lower price and with interchangeable batteries making it a great choice.
So how come the Mighty has been around virtually unchanged for over a decade and is still hugely popular?
Well mainly it’s a workhorse…long after the Starry has passed on to Vape Heaven the Mighty will just be doing what it does, it really is Old Reliable. It will also take hash and concentrates via dosing capsules and take water bong attachments. The battery life is great.
But if you are happy with dry herb and it’s still working as well as it did on day one, you won’t gain a whole lot imo….👍

Polly the starry is a conduction vape the mighty is a hybrid vapour texture and flavour will be different but both are session vapes, Jaybirds comment below about bongs indicates now they might need something with a bit more umppppfff 😛

I’ll be honest I must be caught up in the hype. I thought for some reason a mighty would be better in general. But if they vape the same I see no reason to upgrade until my Starry dies then. Admittedly the battery isn’t great on it but I only use it a couple times a week as I do still prefer bongs.

Yup, I would argue it's more portable than your arizer eq and it does exactly what I want , which is extracting 0.1g of weed in one hit.

It does this efficiently and effectively and allows me to take the amount I need for pain relief and not have to spend 20 mins getting the amount via a session vape.

My first and only one has been the Nectar gold. But I will say, I must have Bong Acquisition Syndrome, my need to buy and try as many bongs as I can to find the perfect one. My favourite being. Grace Glass one in pink. To show my feminine side- it was also half price I assume coz no one wanted pink??

Based on your comments below no a mighty isn't worth it, if bongs are what hits your smoking then a session vape won't touch the sides.

Handhelds such as the tinymight2 and the new yll Angus (not quite out) will deliver more of that.bong hit

I am definitely going to have to look into those mate. I assumed it was just smoking that would give you that nice hit.
Always found the vaping high is a lot more subtle than smoking so would be interesting to try something else which gives a strong hit like a bong.

My first vape was a Nectar Platinum. Comparing it to the Mighty is like comparing a sports car to a moped. My most honest and blunt assessment is that the Nectar Platinum is complete dogshit.

Allow me to enumerate the reasons why the Nectar Platinum is, in my humble opinion, complete and utter dross of the lowest calibre:
1) Even though the Platinum has a removable battery, to get any kind of decent hit you need to turn the temperature so high that you rinse batteries in 3 (10 min) sessions. I had to carry loads (four) around with me. This isn't helpful. The Mighty's non-removable batteries last all day, and are quick to charge. You can also use the Mighty while the batteries are empty if you connect it to the charger.
2) The Platinum gets hot as fuck after 5 minutes, which isn't comfortable to hold, and isn't safe for the batteries. The Mighty never gets hot.
3) The Platinum barely puts out any vapour. I am convinced it's a less efficient extraction than the Mighty (since the seal isn't airtight, just held on by a magnet). I get much higher off a dosing capsule than a packed Platinum bowl. The Mighty gives you clouds of tasty, potent vapour. It's an absolute pleasure to use.
4) After a couple of bowls the airflow of the Platinum is ruined and it's hard to hit, which wastes even more flower as you're trying to pull vapour through a wall of over-toasted AVB. If you can handle sucking in high-THC resin into your mouth, you could probably go months without cleaning a Mighty cooling unit, and people have famously gone years without cleaning the bowl (though I don't recommend either strategy) with no drop in performance. It delivers for you every time without fail. No fucking around. The Mighty is there for you.
5) Because of 4 the Platinum requires regular cleaning, with lots of small parts needing careful attention. With the Mighty you can just switch cooling units while you leave most of the dirty one (not the o-rings) in iso overnight and the job's done.
6) The Nectar Platinum costs £120 and the Mighty costs £185. Fuck Nectar Medical Vapes.

In conclusion: buy a Mighty and never look back. If you can afford an ounce of flower, you can afford a Mighty. It'll pay for itself, compared to your Gold. Peace ✌️

EDIT – After re-reading this, I think I should have just said it's like comparing a steak to a fresh piece of dogshit. 🤙

As I’m not a heavy smoker, the only thing that really matters to me is taste and effect/ efficiency.
I’d rather smoke bongs if I can but the vape does give me the option of being more discrete and also doesn’t get me as high so can still function if I need to with vaping alone.
I probably only smoke an eighth a week so am just struggling to justify the cost if maybe the Nectar will suffice- perhaps…

It's up there with it I'd say. For me the Bubbles more of a racier high than the ammo. I can feel a heaviness in my head with the ammo but not with the bubble. We've got the mimosa as well and that's well liked! Have a look at the reviews and see what you think mate.

Absolutely no disrespect to DIUK- great vendor and i have used, and will use many many many times!! Just a heads up on the most recent batches of thai and dagga from DI- in comparison to mrb4real’s thai and laotian product it falls slightly short- a little too dry and powdery, but DIUK arguably a little more potent.

As a fan of both vendors I wanted to give a heads up on the pros and cons of both. On measure for me mrb4real has been a slightly more enjoyable smoke.
