Raising a closed dispute?
HELLO. Obviously if I am overreacting, please let me know - yet however the money was paid, some time ago, and I am still without my goods. If I'm being awkward and out of line, I will apologise to the vendor; yet I will never buy from them again.

Here’s the timeline:

Placed order 27th Nov 21:21
All items sent 28 Nov 08:21

I messaged seller 3rd Dec 18:28 to check if order was sent as not received anything (please keep in mind I received other orders at this time, no problem).

I sent another message 6th December as not heard back

Seller responds 7th Dec telling me it was sent

Later accuses me of having a high dispute rate (PLEASE CHECK MY ACCOUNT – I HAVE NONE!) after I asked how they would like to proceed. (Please see picture)

I responded 8th December advising seller I have no disputes on my account except for this one (please see picture) which is now closed per instructions of vendor.

Seller responds 8th Dec advising me they will reship if I close dispute. So, I closed the dispute and sent my delivery details.

I sent a message on 9th to check if it was sent.

I sent a message on 11th (today) to check what’s happening and to either tell me if it was sent or if I’ve been mugged off.

So, back to original question: Can I raise a dispute after I already closed it? Seriously just want my money at this stage and to go back to my OG sellers of Pistach / Greencat.

Strange. I had a $900ish order with Eddy last year and this was exactly what I was told with regards the shipping. Shipped in 2 separate 1st Class parcels, and both arrived. At this time of year it could take longer, but that's a lengthy period for something to be in transit.

I'd just like to clarify that Eddy has good reviews and so people must clearly get their products from him. And I in no way shape or form am trying to ruin his reputation on here!

It just so happened that I experienced the not-so-good side of his. Am I unlucky or just some mug?

As others advised, it's clearly a red flag for vendors to request a closing of the dispute before any resolution is found. I trusted Eddy, and I clearly got mugged off so will never use him again. Shit happens. I learned my lesson. I won't cry over £35~ even if I'm very unhappy.

Also, him accusing me of having a high dispute rate when my account says otherwise should have been the third red flag (1st was the package not arriving, second was the poor comms). It is what it is.

If he provided you a good service, then I'm happy for you and hope you continue using him. But I hope nobody blames me if I stick with my regulars who never failed me.

Speak as you find mate, and use your coin accordingly. Sorry you had a poor experience. Definitely never close an open dispute as you can't reopen it.

Honestly not sure, but that's shit. Why wouldn't a vendor use Tracked, that's just lazy, and likely to result in MORE reship, not less, as they can't prove delivery. Poor show Eddy.

I understand he has good reviews and customers like him, but as a first time buyer of his how else can I view this situation?

I understand he might not trust me, but to first accuse me of having a high dispute rate and then go days blanking me when he's clearly online? It just doesn't feel right.

EDIT: Please also keep in mind I offered to pay £5 for tracked delivery FOR MY OWN GUARANTEE! yet seller refused. I can provide screenshots as proof if necessary.

Again, thank you for all your advice Polly. I learned a clear lesson of trusting vendors during disputes. That's my fault - and I take responsibility, even if I was advised to do so by the vendor. Thank you.

You're welcome pal, and I will just say again for any other Bigga reading this:

Don't ever be persuaded to close a Dispute by a vendor on a promise of resolution. It cannot be reopened and for that reason the request is a big red flag.

In this instance the vendor is saying they need more time to be satisfied that the goods won't just arrive so cancel the dispute first. BUT don't forget Biggas that you can extend the Dispute period with a single click (up to 3 times actually) and so still protect your coin.

Stay in the process Folks!
