Shroom noob - how to start?

So I have taken shrooms once before, years ago with friends and I think these were dried liberty caps, but cannot be sure. I really enjoyed them and want to have another go but don’t know where to start.

Can anyone help me out here, what shrooms do I need to be looking for? There’s many on here and I’m not sure what’s for me.

My two favourite methods I would say suggest are:

Buying ground shrooms in caps so that you can measure exactly how much you take. My recommendation would be 0.5/1g to start with.

Other method is blend up dried whole shroom in a smoothie, I like mango, blueberry and strawberry with orange and lemon juice to help them activate quicker

As far as taking them goes, I always try to not have any large amounts of caffeine or thc in my system and set aside a good few hours.

I meditate and think about my intention for the trip, even if that's just to have fun and let go. I also tend to take shrooms on an empty stomach.

Take the whole amount you want at once, splitting a dose into multiple servings can really mess up the phases of intensity.

Make sure you are in a safe and comfortable place, preferably with somebody who isn't tripping.

Just let the mushrooms do their thing, there are no bad trips, just whatever the mushrooms want to show or not show you. I find mushrooms come in waves so if you think you trip is ending just stay aware for a while longer, don't end up in Aldi on the tail end of a trip like I have 😂

Strain wise I love B+, very rare to get a challenging trip, not super heavy either. McKenna are good all round, JMF if you feel a little more adventurous.

Don't listen to people telling you to just mash down 5gs, that's the sort of advice that ends up putting people off for life

As I do reviews I don't want to recommend any specific vendors.

Opt for a lower dose rather than higher. It wasn't too awful, but my first go on magic mushrooms turned into a bad trip halfway through. Having it wear off sooner rather than later was an absolute godsend, haha.

Hi,
I want to buy Magic Mushrooms and ship them to Denmark; however, I have some neurosis about the safety of shipping them.

I don't want to (and can't afford) to get a fine or, even worse, suffer some criminal charge/jail time.

Have any Danes (or Scandinavians) tried this? What are your thoughts? How likely is it to be discovered during the shipment?

You just need a warm cupboard, and the not illegal things to import to put into said cupboard. Depends on your evaluation of risk. You can grow these in the bag and it'll take about 6-8 weeks.

If you go down the import route then look for a vendor with a good reputation and decoys when they send.

I have had good experience using .4g of penis envy using the Fadiman protocol..I finally found the right mushroom and dose through macrodosing at 4.3g and taking 1/10th of that amount. I was stacking lion's mane too, but I experienced too much scattered energy, so I backed off of stacking for now. I am finally getting benefits from microdosing penis envy mushrooms. I make my own capsules for dosing. Good luck

I’ve been using the same guy ever since I found LB. I’ve had a couple of disappointing orders but the vast majority have been good to great. I’d really like to shop around but have gotten used to a highly reliable NDD service.

yeah you aren't alone on this one, i stuck to one vendor when i found LB and felt like i had struck gold with him, but then the quality became so varied from order to order and i've been burnt by him more than enough times now that i have no reason to trust said vendor anymore or give him my cash!

was also nervous about switching vendors but as long as you stick to a certain few vendors you'll have absolutely nothing to worry about! but after seeing some insanely strange things going down on here this year i don't feel comfortable publically suggesting what vendors i would consider the best / worst, so in that case you'll have to use your own judgement by reading each vendors reviews for the past couple months!

I haven't on here but I can get it locally, usually alcohol based and make you feel shroomy, but lose something in the process. I can't put my finger on it but very limited visuals/fractals even at high doses. Prefer just munching some shrooms tbh and keeping it more natural these days (although the nausea can be annoying)

I’m looking for some recommendations to help my old man with his RLS.

It doesn’t sound like a big deal but the lack of and disturbed sleep is really affecting his standard of life.

So, thought I’d look at cannabis treatments and unsurprisingly it seems like there’s some good evidence of it helping.

My Dad is not far off 80 so can’t have anything too mental. Saying that he’s still really active and acts much younger. As an ex smoker need to stay away from combustion and ideally vaping although it could be an option. He used to smoke weed back in the day but don’t imagine he has any tolerance now.

Was look at mj pumpjack oil and rso. What do you think? knowing my old man he’ll want to experiment and end up on a whitey 😀

I'm with Sam on the SCL carts there pressed rosin so a whole flower extract and while not as "strong" as the disty carts at 90plus percent THC they feel to me more balanced.

I would give them a message and see what they recommend to you.

Other than that vapes xmax v3 pro is great and under a £100

Flower CBD definitely worth a try few vendors on here do it, look at cheesemaster they had a balanced flower not long ago

Has he tried cbd? If your worried about him getting too high or not wanting to smoke etc due to his age, cbd might be the one.. I have a number of people who come into my shop for the same thing.. 🙂

But then if he liked a bit of a smoke maybe some oil, but that hits like a train. Lol. Failing that maybe one of Serial Chiller Carts to vape.. or little hand held dry herb vape like an Arizer Solo or Pax. Etc.

The most discreet non smoke non vape type solution would be Cannacaps taken in the evening. There are quite a selection to be found on here- Mad Dabber & Hashishin have hash oil varieties at the moment. Some give a very gentle lift, pain relief and sleep assistance and others get you completely stoned, but just check the descriptions, always start with just one and remember they take an hour or more to kick in.
(As an example Hashishin’s hash oil caps are beautifully made. The Lebanese are gentle floaty and relaxing whilst the Moroccan blast you into orbit, probably not ideal for the old boy!🤩😂)…

I actually started growing about 20 years or so ago because my stepmother has MS. When I still lived with my parents my old man said I could use the shed if I shared the crop. The rest is history as they say!

What I have found is that MS can has different symptoms for different people, even people of the same age and gender can have different experiences so the advice I'll give may be a bit generalised not knowing your exact circumstances, but I thought it worth a post incase anything from my experience is relevant.

In terms of general pain management, my SM uses edibles, specifically cakes as she loves to bake. One seller on here who offers 'cannabutter' which can be used to make all sorts of things in the kitchen is UKGrower2. I'm sure if you send him a chat message he will be able to point you in the right direction with his products. He also does cannabis capsules which might be something to look at. MJConcentrates does pre made edibles including gummy bears and chocolate and also does a line of vape cartridges which might be worth considering if your other half isn't a 'spliff and bong' type smoker. My SM can get what we call 'attacks' where she cramps up sometimes quite violently, so in those instances what is needed is instant relief, which she gets from either a spliff or a vape pen. Edibles are great for general day to day use but they do take a while to kick in so if your other half's symptoms do require instant relief perhaps consider vaping. MJ has a great reputation and I'm sure he'd be happy to help you if you send him a message. His page is linked below.

There are loads more quality vendors on here but I'm not a customer, so other biggies can point you in the right direction for sellers I'm sure.

The final thing I'd add is that if your other half isn't a big cannabis user, or hasn't been for a good few years you really need to start off slowly. One thing I've noticed in the past 20 years is how much stronger cannabis is getting and the last thing you want is for her to have a bad experience and be scared off using cannabis for good. I'd strongly suggest baby steps with everything, edibles, vaping and smoking to start with. Remember edibles can take a while to kick in so don't be tempted to munch a whole packet because you can't feel anything for 20 mins. Never ends well that!

So yeah, I'm conclusion I would try some edibles for general day to day pain, and if she does have the cramping attacks like my SM then maybe a vape pen for the instant relief.

Cannabis has been a god send to our family so I really hope it helps yours.

Yeah, sadly most cannabis we smoke is extremely low in other cannabiniods except for THC.. (great for recreational use though😉😅🥳)

For most illnesses though you need a nice balance of cannabinoids..🙂 (but there some where you need that balance… but also higher levels of THC as well, all depends on the person etc etc)🙂

The most difficult thing about treating MS is how the symptoms are so different between sufferers. There are some that we all have like muscle cramps and being generally exhausted most of the time but we’ve all got something another doesn’t too. It’s so fun…

I personally like 50/50ish strains, the Jack Herer a certain very good grower (🐶) has very nearly ready is a perfect example, for daily use as it helps to get me out of bed most mornings/days and indica doms, anything purple or cookie/cake genetics based always catches my eye, for afternoon/evening (after 4:20pm) to help me stay asleep all night.
You need to try as many as you can to find which strains work for you and when their effects are what you need. It’s not a bad or hard thing to do but it will be expensive.

Portable vapes are great for when you’re out and about and need a quick hit to keep you going. As someone who smokes a pretty big bong most of the time at home I still haven’t found one that really hits hard enough though but I’m being stupid really and they do have their place and I like to have one handy most of the time if I’m out.

Edibles are great whenever too if you’re in a place where smoking or vaping isn’t an option but never underestimate just how much they can really hit hard when they have taken full effect. Even the most seasoned smokers have all been caught out by them in the past at some point even if they don’t like to admit it.

Everything and everyone bulldog has said/recommend is very good advice as to where you might want to start looking but don’t be sucked into some of the very over priced products you can find on here, £100+ for a hen of anything is very hard for me to accept regardless of where it’s from and only equal quality to what you can get from others on here for significantly less.

It's such a strange thing, pink Kush is a heady high which at one point would have aggravated my GAD but now I find that a few sativas balance me out.
Stardawg seems to really help me sleep.
I guess what works for one doesn't work for others.
Trying different ones is fun but sometimes I end up hiding away in my house for a couple hours lol.

There are lots of variables that go into the final effect of weed, look for bud that has a similar strain lineage, THC/CBD/G % and similar Terpene profiles..
For Stardawg try - Grease Monkey, Wedding Crasher or Jungle Cake
For Pink Kush try - Pineapple Chunk, OG Kush or Black Cherry Punch

You're right the OG kush is very similar to pink kush but i think the OG kush can put me on my ass, hard, lol.
Pink kush just seemed to give me that push i need sometimes to get out of my own head.

For me I think it mainly comes down to the amount of THC in your blood. If I vaped or smoke a big dose of any dank I would probably feel more anxious for the first 15 mins while my body gets used it. As tolerance increases the dose/anxiety change. Best approach for me is a low dose e.g. 0.1g (of dank) if it were crappy weed this might be +0.3g for same effect. (I use a dynavap)

I did post on here to support and happy borg asked me to check both sales and referrals token on transaxe, they read the same as when I registered, and I also changed my LB settings payment processor token (btc) to read the same, when I noticed last night.
Surely my transaxe account should show pending funds but it doesn't, says no transactions.
The other funny thing I noticed is that, on the new customer registration page for LB, if you try to start as a new member ... The same dodgy referral token I removed from my account, appears in the registration form!
Pal I need you help to clarify things. Whilst theres there's this 16day fee holding service transaxe do. I would DM them myself if I could. When I post about it, I just get a borg shirt response, when I try to reply to it for more help. Nothing. Need your DM powers please ZIGBULL x

Hi happy borg, so I'm a newbee, just added an item, found a few customers, been chatting about sales, wasn't sure if I had everything set up right to receive payments.
So I've got a free wallet and a Bitcoin address now and added it to transaxe, so am I good to go and receive orders on here?
Also my messages to customers have been disabled as I did suggest ppal could be used whilst I tried to sort out a wallet and Bitcoin address, as I got warned about conducting business off site. Am I in big trouble? And can I get help about trying to fix the situation up, now I've got a wallet and the right things in place?

I've only dipped my toe in so far - I had 1gram of PE blended in a smoothie, just to test them (better safe than sorry). But even that was a nice dose. Started to feel it after about 20 minutes, smoked a joint to help me on my way, sat in the garden staring at the clouds for a few hours listening to Jefferson Airplane. Some slight visuals at the peak (bright neon geometric shapes, clouds morphing in to Mufasa... you know, the usual). Was a lovely opener. This was my first time with actual shrooms - I've tripped on truffles 5 or 6 times, 4-ACO-DMT a few times, acid once and DMT a handful of times. So I'm not a complete noob but certainly dont have a mass amount of experience. But I could feel the potential in these. Still got about 5g left. So I'm gonna try 2g's in a few weeks, then scran the last 3g's when I feel brave enough.

They deffo get a recommendation from me anyway.

Interesting, I had the same-looking little guys growing on my lawn about a week after i fertilised it with (IIRC) Evergreen lawn feed and seed. Maybe some spore contamination in the fertiliser as have never had shrooms growing on my lawn this time of year before. Did you returf or seed?

They are brown mottlegills, or a mowers mushroom as we call it in the gardening trade. They are very common, most common in meadow turf, ie if you lay a new lawn if will be full of these little buggers by august. I checked these out years ago due to my profession. No good. Hope it helps

Look like common field caps, I use the shroomify app to identify them.
Hard to find cubes in summer, can get them from Wholeceium but 1-2 week delivery from Holland so patience required

So I put up new listing for you for 2g in chocolate form, littlebig didn't like talk in £.
And working out exchange, rates and transaxe fees was a pain, so I put 2g at $55, so real close to that price we talked about x

The upset tummy can kind of be true, but in my experience it's not really a thing. All mushrooms grow with natural antimicrobials, this can sometimes upset a microbiome, hence a runny poo, but generally it only happens once if at all and isn't painful lol.

If you eat a lot of fresh mushroom there's a risk but dried is normally ok. Plus there's a difference, libs are so small and potent, u don't need to any anywhere near as much material to feel the magic, so less chance of your microbiome reacting negatively, the risk is even less as they have been cracker dried @40c, and powdered and then warmed in chocolate, a microdose wouldn't harm.

Plus a lot of other mushrooms people take, have been grown in manure, not libs, they grow as symbiotes with the roots of grasses.

Ok I'm your test day... maybe start with 1 skeletor and you can add a baby unicorn after 1hr if you think u want more magic, anything greater than 0.25 and the feels will touch on the recreational feels of bliss.

Don't leave it more than 1.5hrs between doses if you don't want it to feel cumulative.
Have on an empty stomach with a coffee for breakfast, a big feed 1hr either side of taking could dull absorbtion.

Yeh sauna is pretty fun especially the steam yurt, I met the manager on a mush chat, hopefully gonna hook me up with some new places in Wales to try this season :)
