I think I'd sit it out if it wasn't desperately needed. Cancelling just sends the request to the vendor to cancel on their end so if you're not getting very far generally then I'd wait it out and see if they shipped, or if it auto cancels at the 100 hour mark. You then have to contact refund borg and they'll sort you out eventually, possibly after you remind them.
Currently I think it's far from the dispute stage, but you can't influence this if it gets to the end stage of the dispute process, it's decided by algorithm. When you dispute you'll get a message from auto settlement borg:
'algorithmic settlement based upon reputation will occur at...'
