Is this a me thing? I've had a couple of vendors tightly vacuum pack buds. I fully get the need for stealth and have been impressed by the variety of solutions to this. Probably best not to discuss that too deeply online I guess.

It seems to me that the buds don't quite recover until they've had a day in a small jar. Like, straight out the vacuum pack there's much less smell & flavour than develops over the next day or so. Like it's been suffocated and can breathe again.

Is it a known thing? Or like many things, just in my mind?

Okay LB folk, this is a list of quarters (7g for the metric heads) of bud, available on littlebiggy, delivered for under $60 including postage. That's my criteria here to filter down to the bits that'll save you - and me - some pennies.

There are a couple of vendors I expected to include that haven't got products listed currently. Maybe if people like this post I'll do it again in the future.

Conclusion

So that's my rundown of the sub $60 market on LB. Correct as of May 2024. Yes there are more exotic bits over this price but this seemed a fair bar to set. Please feel free to comment if you believe I set it too low. I know I've missed out some great bits just above this price. Also let me know if I've missed any bits off under $60 in the comments. Feel free to share any other bargains or useful comments below to save people money here. No hatred please.

I've made bubble hash several times in the past, usually from (other people's) trim or failed crops and just using stuff I have at home or could buy for pennies online. Fresh frozen has given me my best results - and some of them have been startlingly good.

As there's all sorts of shake & trim on lb I've been thinking about doing a run of hash.

Does anyone do this?

Do you think I'll get good value or that I'd just be better off buying hash?

For me payday looms and as it's been a wee bit bleak at BigRoo Cottage of late I'll likely treat myself to some of the hash here amongst some other bits and bobs. Since joining LB I've approached it with all the restraint of a child in a sweetshop. "I want one of them & one of them & ooh - two of those & one of them..."

I'm super intrigued by the Barz LA products. I'm likely to try a green level & red level. But it got me thinking - what's the best bang for your buck hashes on LB. The ones that deliver delicious flavours & potency rather than make you feel you've just picked it up off a shifty fella in a smoky pub backroom of the 1980s.

I've made bubble before - fresh frozen. This seemed to me to produce my best results. Now I see there's a myriad of processes like static, triple filtered, fresh frozen, dry sifted, hash eggs, and many more.

Basically, if you had to bet money on a hash blowing my mind while not blowing my wallet what'd you go for? Is there a hash method that you prefer? (I know some people say fresh frozen products taste green). Please jump on the hash train and share your thoughts with me. Thanks LB people.

Just thought I'd give a shout out to some of the great services I've used here since I imagine everyone is sweating about gas fees and is waiting to pull the trigger on their orders / business / existence.

I joined LB quite recently so I'm still getting comfortable with everything. I hope it's okay to post this here. I've been amazed by some of the products I've bought and some of the service I've received.

First mention, The Green Team. TGT. What a great service. They reward loyalty, are bang on comms, and generally a pleasure to deal with. They've sent me a couple of freebies now.

Next, Keep it Green. KIG. What a nice chap and fellow orange enthusiast. Sent me a sampler with my order following a conversation about orange flavours. Hard to fault that. Brilliant.

Shroom of the loom. SOTL. These are new to me but I'm having a sample sent out, mostly out of sympathy, I guess, as I do so poorly with competitions. I'll be back to order there.

The spacemen, TSM, are worth a mention. Some super cheap bits that are great. I had a citronella that was a lovely orange flavour. Green Cat, GC, are probably also worth mentioning as a vendor that have had some great value (and generously weighed) bits.

So far the two nicest extracts I've had have both been from Gassed. G. (Do they still get an initial?)

The great vape company, TGVC, were exceedingly patient with my various issues with my new vape (not their fault) so are worth noting great customer service.

The super cheap bits I've had that were worth smoking were from the pontiff of piff POPE and from Radar Breeder. RB.

After pay day (desperately waiting) I'm looking forward to trying some of the Barz hash. I'm fascinated by how well it looks like they've made it. I've not ordered from Eddy's Hash bar, EHB yet either which I should probably correct. Will likely also aim for a mix of bargain buds & mids, some extracts, and some more distillate to make my own edibles - assuming of course it's viable to move coin by then.

I can remember from years ago in Dam, the nice orange bud, a Californian Orange Bud I believe, that had a potent after kick a while after consuming. Was a great one for spacing out for a while. What'd be a close match these days? What's got the heftiest after kick?
