I'm not advocating for Communism but our society is full of people grafting their respective genitalia off that are still struggling financially. The idea that hard work pays ( properly) is a idea propagated by people seeking to exploit the labour of others. Nobody should need to claim benefits whilst working full time and yet...

You shouldn't be allowed to claim any benefits while in full time employment. It's crazy, we are basically subsidising employers who ought to be paying more.
And I hope that, one day, employers decide paying a living wage is more important than ever increasing profits such that in work benefits are no longer necessary. I propose a link between maximum and minimum pay within an organisation. Let's say; no pay ( overall package including bonuses, perks and dividends) higher than 5x the lowest full time salary.

You should look into some unbiased reporting on the soviet Union, and some witness statements from the older generation who lived through it.

Kerala in India has a long history of electing communist party politicians. It has the highest literacy rate and lowest infant mortality in India due to its policies.

I think his and my politics are probably polar opposites, but you could get fucked up at a party with him and have an amazing time. Anyway, good book. Breaks down all sorts of different political stances, and Good Communism is one chapter, and Bad Communism another. He's a funny guy, but maybe don't consider it as in depth reasoned academic analysis.

Communism is inherently tyrannical. History shows that. There aren’t any examples of success for a reason. It goes against the human spirit. Millions more died die to its tyranny than under the Nazis but you never see documentaries on the BBC or Netflix about Stalin, Mao or Pol Pot. Capitalism isn’t perfect by a long way but meritocracy is natural and drives progress. People to an extent sort themselves into roles and structures on natural ability and interest. Socialism just teaches people to rely on the state whilst the state gets to dictate how people think and behave. It’s ideological tyranny on the one extreme and financial exploitation of a liberal society by the few on the other. My grandad was a carpenter and paid his subs to his union for years until he acknowledged the financial and ideological corruption that it was based on.

Can anyone help? I made an account yesterday and just finished waiting for the cool off period with the crypto, just tried to log in to buy and the account isn't here anymore/ my log in details don't work. I bookmarked my account too and when I go to that it says page not found.
Would the account have been deleted? Or is it possible someone else have access to it now and I'm locked out?
I'm not sure I trust any of this on the site anymore tbh. After all the faff with setting up the crypto, dealing with the bank trying to stop me buying and now my account has gone I'm not sure what to make of it.
Anyone know what I have to do to get back in? Or has anyone had this happen. Or am I just unlucky. Should I try again or just go back to buying local. Thanks.

i'm really interested in immediate effects and anything that persists. for me it's under an hour and i was disoriented for maybe 8 hours with a 1/2 life around 1 hour.

My mate tried VR porn, he got quite into it by all accounts. Unfortunately he lives with his parents, when he took the headset off there was a fresh cup of tea on his bedside cabinet 🤣😁
I've done maybe 4 hours, I switched up games though and that help you from over dosing in a single game.
I think the longest I've done in one go is about 3-4 hours. The weirdest part of VR for me was when I first got a headset, for about a week I felt like I was in VR all the time. The head-bobbing effect of walking in reality seemed exaggerated.
But all that's faded away now. I can use VR without any adverse effects except maybe a bit of eye strain for a long session.

it seems to me the more immersive the platform the tougher it gets on the body. cheap vr gets on my nerves before i get queezy, a full on setup with peripherals and i feel like its a portal just getting back to irl.
Only1 hour. Played the space station game on occulus for about 10 minutes and felt so sick. Took me a good sleep before i felt better. Very disorientating!
For sim racing I usually use VR and I just don't like flat screen anymore, I'll probably VR for like an hour at a time. when your high and in vr racing, battling with dudes online, it's something to really try.
The last time i scuba dived i projectile vomited an hour after i got out the water. I don't think I want to try it in vr

Agreed, I went to Istanbul during Ramadan a few years ago and it was fantastic. Highly recommend that city, just a beautiful place and the food is amazing!

My Auntie and her “friend” went to Turkey during Ramadan and she said it was nightmare. Agreed that it was a beautiful place and the food was beyond superb.
Apparently Jordan is quite chill. Haven’t been but have seen a documentary following a guy (Levison Wood) travelling around Arabia and definitely Jordan is more relaxed than some surrounding countries. Also Petra is in Jordan which looks amazing
Malaysia & Indonesia definitely worth a mention! Very underrated as tourist destinations. Azerbaijan is a fairly secular Muslim nation, with a big drinking culture & nightclubs, same goes for Kosovo. Friend of mine visited both & had a great time. Apparently Kosovans love Brits. Morocco is very regional, but always friendly. I've never been but some of the best & most hospitable people I've encountered come from there - a colleague of mine gave me a big chunk of hash at work once because he was despairing at the shwag I was smoking (pre-LB days!).
I dunno, they didn't do too well in the Suez war... And I'm pretty sure the ottomans beat them a couple times too.
My friend went to Iraq before lockdown and had a brilliant time. Iraqis are very friendly and tjough there are issues a well run tour will be worth it. Some of the architecture looks incredible.
Most ‘ordinary’ people are friendly and accommodating wherever you go, it’s the extremist hardline cultists in positions of power that are the cancer. Look at the U.K. for a hardline extremist cultist government!

Wow as a British Muslim I came here expecting the same regurgitated racist nonsense you see all over Facebook etc. I just want to say it’s a breath of fresh air seeing all these posts. I also wanted to say that first and foremost I would consider myself British, my dad moved to this country 30+ years ago (whether due to prior circumstances or not) and has built an amazing life for us all here in much we certainly wouldn’t have been able to enjoy in his own country.
The problem is you have people coming over nowadays who do not want to intergrate into British society at all, learn the language? No thanks, try some traditional English food? don’t eat that horrible bland food. Claim the benefits? Yes please. I find myself in a situation where I am unable to buy a home, unable to live comfortably while working what I would say is a fairly good job all because 1000+ goes towards deductions and funding these kind of people. These kind of people are the real problem and tarnish the reputation of everyone else.

Some notable examples which are quite liberal are Morocco and Turkey. Istanbul and marrakech are good city breaks and there are also loads of resort towns such as Agadir, Bodrum etc. Further afield you could travel to the northern areas of Pakistan where I am from we have the 2nd tallest mountain K2, hash from the Himalayas beautiful food and beautiful people. It’s an amazing place and it’s safe despite what you hear on the news. Search karakoram tourism if you’re interested

I think you are confused sir are you for migration or against?
I am talking from first hand experience, I know my dad experienced racism in the 90s and I have experienced it first hand when travelling to more rural parts of the UK. Racists will be racists but I have enough life experience to know not all white people in this country are like that. This is nothing to do with race anyway it’s about British culture and contributing to the society we live in. We've always had high levels of migration in and out of this country and just to be clear I am more than happy with that, I'm not trying to make some sort of anti-migration point in a weird way.

I'm sure we're in agreement that we have a crazy economic situation where working 9-5 at minimum wage is often not enough to survive, and I agree that the meagre levels of support that's provided by the welfare state sometimes exceed that. But it's the low wages and high costs that are the problem, the disparities in wealth distribution in the sixth largest economy in the world. It's not the amounts that are received by benefit claimants that causes problems for those in low paid work. Far from it, indeed it makes society worse for everyone to live amongst widespread poverty.
Reducing the support to those in need is not going to help people to be fully functioning members of society, whether they have migrated here recently or can trace their family tree back to the Alfred the Great. I travelled around SE Asia for a few months and I loved Lombok in Indonesia. We were stopping at a homestead that a Muslim family owned. They don't drink but were more than happy to get alcohol in for us travellers.

I'll vouch for Morocco. You've got to be streetwise of course, but a beautiful country with kind and generous people. You soon tune out the prayer calls.
As an english guy with a house in morocco, I'd definitely vouch for that - I fell in love with the place. Tangiers in the nprth is perfect if you dont want things too hot and youd like to still see alot of europeans, casablanca or marakech if your looking for the arab vibes with old medinas and lots of tourist activities - Fez if you like leather. There are even a few smaller places i like such as chef chawen - the blue city which have some amazing places to see. You could even visit the jabala and see farming as it was hundreds of years ago - youll never meet nicer or more genuine people

On a side note, if you biggas are into your smoke, go to morocco and head to places like al hoceima in the rif mountains - they grow everything up there and would happily sell you a kilo for less than £100 😁

I'd second Indonesia and Malaysia as being extremely friendly, but the friendliest people I've ever met are from travelling in Kyrgyzstan, where everyone I met wanted you to either stay with them or to take you out for dinner and meet all their family and friends! I've also heard great things about Tajikistan!🙏🏼💚

Pakistan is very good country to visit, most travel vloggers has said Pakistan is the most hospitable country out of the 44 countries they visited. Personally I'd travel to northern areas of Pakistan and even go to the area near Afgan border if your wanting fresh pure hash
Definitely would recommend Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, Tunisia and Jordan. Malaysia and Indonesia are possibly the friendliest and nicest people I’ve ever met in my life. Also, their food and natural scenery is absolutely top tier. Morocco is a nice place too but I think the others are much better especially for tourism.

Morocco, Egypt, Turkey and Indonesia are all favourites but a real stand out star for me is Uzbekistan - full of history, especially from the Genghis Khan days as the silk road splits in Uzbekistan where you can go up to Russia/Europe or down to Middle East/Africa, as well as being full of really lovely people. I spent 3 years in Indonesia and 3 months in the Philippines with frequent travel to Singapore. Indonesia was like my second home, just stay clear of drugs, which you'll most likely only be offered in bali and the neighbouring islands.
If you don't have an international driving license and shouldn't be on the roads, they'll hand you a piece of paper saying you need to pay £50-100. Don't pay it. Before I lived there and was a tourist I was stupid enough to pay it. You should be paying around £5. Locals pay around £2.
In the 3 years I was there, I only felt unsafe twice. One was on a bus and the people were trying to sell me a fake rolex for an amount of money and they were quite adamant I was gonna pay up. Second time I was out in the sticks with my girlfriend on my vespa and a dodgy couple were following us, clocked them quite early and confirmed relatively soon after they were looking into us. We just headed back to the population. Whether we were somewhere we shouldnt have been and peaked interest, ill never know!
Going back to drugs, my apartment was randomly raided for a drugs test. Not shitting you I open the door to a big team of narco agents and a TV news crew. They were doing random drugs tests in the neighbourhood. Literally take me to my toilet, pass me a plastic cup and watches me with my back turned pee in the cup! Can't make the shit up! Fortunately all was good.
I have highlighted a few of my bad experiences however it can't replace the 100s of amazing experiences I gained. The people are friendly, the food is good. Number 1 rule when visiting Asian Street food stalls, go where all the locals go, if you don't follow the rule you'll end up code brown.

Do a bit of research on the crusade and salahuddin ayyubi before you go (he’s a bit of a hero amongst our Kurdish brothers).
Egypt has more history about the ancients than Islamic history. Believe it or not Saudi Arabia has very little. Non Muslims are also forbidden to enter Mecca - the holy capital.

We will most likely get another in the next 30 years. Why the vaccine was created so quickly was it had been worked on for years. Since the SARS outbreak in Asia in the early 2000s. As coronavirus is a type of SARS or is very closely related (on this I’m not sure) it wasn’t really created quickly. Doctors and scientists just had to adapt their work slightly. There’s a very interesting book written by Dean Koontz in 1981 The Eyes Of Darkness, that mentions a virus created in a lab just outside wuhan in labs called Wuhan-400, and he’s prediction is that it will affect humanity around 2020! The website Leafly is a decent place to start if you want to get technical. They have all of the terpenes present in cannabis listed so you can research the variety of terps and then find strains that contain them. I'm a bit old skool so everything is fruity, earthy or gassy for me lol.

I have no idea what they are, I’ve smoked on and off since I was an early teen all through 90s and through the 00s never heard of them! I think the reason it seems like a new thing is that combustion destroys everything except THC so when smoking that really is all there is. It’s only with vaping that terpenes kick in at lower than combustion temperatures. There are about 400 terpenes in cannabis and about 20,000 in the plant world. So far only about a handful are genuinely known to have effects when vaping but more research is going on all the time…
Yeah, it's best to avoid the terps completely, who knows what it could be causing? Stick to CBC to thin down carts, if you can get it.
To be honest the only way you really get to taste the terpenes as they should be is to vape. They do burn off at very low temps. Whilst you do get flavour from combustion. It’s kinda negligible.

Last comment on this subject from me;) humans are almost clones of each other. For example to apes are always more genetically different than any two humans and they basically do the same in life due to most being born in to similar situations. Were the carts good? I have messaged weedstar to find out a bit more and how they are selling these carts so cheap? They sound like they are fantastic quality but are about half the price of other vendors which makes me think twice. I have been burnt badly by some dodgy carts on here and now I just mainly stick with SN2D as at least you know what you’re getting from cali, proper tracking back to plant and farm etc. Not making any claims at all until I try them, I’ve messaged the vendor and am going to order multiple carts today to try them myself but just curious.

I'm glad for logical disagreements, backed by facts. But I have no interest in hate, or aggression, there is just too much of that already.

Yes, l read about the sister you lost to cancer. I truly am sorry for your loss. I've watched my mother lose a kidney to cancer and my father had prostate cancer and l've lost count of the number of cancerous tumors he's had removed from his face. I have to take him to his doctor March 1st to have another one removed. I can't prove it but l believe one or more of the pharmaceutical companies have come up with a cure for some, if not all forms of cancer. As they say, there's no profit to be made with a cure. I hate to be that cynical, but they haven't given me a reason to think otherwise, judging by their previous behavior.

You're right about the pharmaceutical companies. Started out curing everything that came their way and they went kaput. When one of them said they created a cure for hepatitis c, my jaw hit the floor. It's the first time anything has been cured since those early days, as far as l can remember it happening. Today is a different story. To watch that prick, who was testifying before a government committee about why he raised the price of a drug his company makes, all he did was act like a smug little bastard, taking the 5th when he wasn't busy acting like an ass. The Feds don't think l play well with others so they declared me permanently disabled. They definitely don't think l should own any type of firearms, although l do have an arsenal that's the envy of most third world countries. They should really worry about someone who has the same disorders, yet refuses to believe it and doesn't try to get help, like the dude from Florida who killed all those people in that nightclub. I realized something was wrong and it came to a head when l was awake for 19 days for absolutely no obvious reason, so l sought help. I don't have a criminal record as well, or any history of violence in my past, yet they think l'm the dangerous one. They're right in one aspect. I never leave my home when l'm in manic mode. Just way too much of a risk. The meds keep the monster dormant, but it wakes up every now and again.

Wow, yes, we've got a lot in common! I've been under the care of psychiatrists for longer than I care to figure out. There is finite supply of coins based on mining, which is using processor power to solve pieces of the block chain which gets more difficult as it progresses. However no matter the amount of coins that are availible if they are not wanted then the price goes down.
Often times certain events influance the demand for the currancy. The reason it went down this time was due to a Coinbase announcement that they where not going to be allowing BCH trades for a specific period after the hard fork that happened just recently. There are also things like market corrections, people pulling out to invest in stock or alt coins and a bunch of other random shit. Some of which is predictable and others very much not so.

The reason it went down this time was due to a Coinbase announcement that they where not going to be allowing BCH trades for a specific period after the hard fork that happened just recently. The cryto world is even more fickle then the actual stock market. CoinBase is one of the biggest market places / sellers of crypto so it put a lot of people on edge. Been downward a lot since then.
Supply is limited by mining difficulty so it's always growing at a slower rate. Basically coins are getting harder and harder to mine.
You also have the halving coming up, which will further reduce supply, unlike quantative easing from fiat currency.
