Btw one thought I will add that might be helpful (and idk if it was different at the time i forgot and been pretty fried) but since you have no listing's and it shows item listing's on the wall and not the people (so I'm seeing your topics around the place ofc, just not in items) so without any items I would imagine there's nothing to show or keyword, and probably why you see vendors leave their listing's up when they plan to restock so they still show, but they update the message and put a crazy price "99999" type stuff so it's pretty clear especially with how rudimentary and dated the site is in many ways, anyway hope this maybe helps some

Yer we didn’t remove anything until days of no sales then took stuff down cos it want moving at all, Went from 5-10 sales a day to none for a week, so it was pretty obvious that it had been removed and the fact the borgs did not reply seems off to start. But as it stands we seem to be back on the wall so product will return next week

Guessing maybe some sort of caching/cache retrieval bug or honestly could probably be a few things, the site seems dated and missing lots of features and modern design principles and would be more surprised if it didnt have some major flaws needing fixed and that they coded it perfectly using modern code libraries or custom ones that have been kept upto date and standards etc. In the time since they launched (pretty long time ago now especially in Internet time, the internet was vastly different back then) they've barely fixed or added things from what I can tell, only just recently having added keyword onto the item page, but still missing proper ANYTHING. It doesn't even randomise the listing's it shows or try to show you ones that you haven't seen but may be interested in etc. So if you refresh or scrolling breaks and you have to refresh etc. It starts again with the same list it seems. So many little things they could change and elevate their site 10x, or even a hundred fold. Missed opportunity, oh well - at-least it seems sorted whatever it was, maybe they were trying to just figure it out on their end and were crappy with communicating? Maybe the cache fixed its self over time or maybe some other weird ass bs we might never know sadly, I'd love to know too. Glad its fixed for you and you're able to open back up:)

Sorry if I seemed rude. Also idk how many 'borgs' there are and if they're human, but I imagine they swim through a tonne of shit daily having to deal with legit and non-legit problems and it can probably be hard to tell what is legit or not sometimes, and they probably didn't actually know why it was doing it but they should communicate better with each other and when they thought they fixed it if they did then they should have let you know to try and check for them. And some explanation after the fact would be nice. Oh well!

We would feel we live by those 4 rules but lately we are being pushed out by the algorithm if anything has changed recently can we change it back please, We conduct business as usual but our topics our basically invisible and our new items don't show on the wall our old items are in a freefall we always try to stay positive and have patience but we have seen zero rotation in the items wall all week whereas usually it would change only a daily basis making things fair for all and our topics seem to be invisible, why hide the Canadian we are the life of the party :)

I see “The Wall” like online matchmaking and ranking systems.

firstly the bad actors work out how it works (hence most devs never fully explain it) but these bad folk work it out anyway.

Then they abuse the shit out of it.

Devs are then in arms race to “outsmart” via changes and updates.

They work it out again and the cycle continues…

This is why very often it results in questionable behaviour, in this case our wall order and things can get messy.

Unfortunately the small % of bad actors FUCK it for the rest of us.

Also, borgs I really hope that “Cali” string flag is in a combination of other stuff , cos otherwise it’s dog shit and you hurt even folk like me as I’ve come to use “Cali dense” as a term to help people know their bud density

A "See more" option at the bottom of everyone's page would solve alot of issues. Why does EVERYTHING since records began need to load when you visit a page? Could it not load the most recent 20 or so posts, then you press a button to load another 20?

Yes Anon1385 you've got it, we currently don't make many posts and try to delete old ones due to the issues with page loading when they become to large on this site, we need people like you at the wheel steering us towards simple and effective solutions, although we wouldn't hold our breath for any fix to be implemented around here no matter how much sense it makes :)

You're really getting our vote to run this place with ideas like that, we always laugh and think how great this site is but how flawed it also is when my Nokia 3310 had a better OS in some areas, things like having to manually delete individual messages or posting "YO 47738808674973" on topics lets be real its 2023 there must be a better and easier way forward for everyone but if it makes too much sense the borgs don't want to know.

I can't speak for the server costs or things of that nature but surely even your two ideas which would probably be very easy to implement would make he experience here a lot better and cut out most of the annoying messages this borg probably gets about deleting posts from years ago that have no relevance today.

Jeez on the other hand maybe its a good thing it limits the amount we post because we can type a lot when we get going :)

We really wanted to make a post on your page Polly, when we saw a recent topic about your reviews was created but with the loading times and then when it finally loaded it proceeded to crash our browser it left us unable to engage in the discussion which wasn't very fun as we could see the number growing on the post but struggled to read a small part of it if any,

We know the borgs don't care about the topics vendors and customers value as important they would rather deal with the easier "unworthy’ posts and don't get us wrong we completely agree that a lot of these "unworthy’ posts don't belong on this site but it shouldn't mean the Cleanup Borg should only focus on them.

We remember seeing one of the Cleanup Borgs first posts we thought oh its a gonna be a new day on Little Biggy but even with all the Borgs we can't remember the site actually had a change!

We've a solid community here and I'd imagine a hell of a lot use mobile to browse. We shouldn't be discouraged from adding to the community because of how it will slow our page down. More of a problem for vendors who interact a lot and have listings on top of that.

If you’re on an iPhone when on the main items page, you can type in what you’re looking for in the website address bar, try to keep it limited to one word.

Type in the word of the item you’re looking for in the website address bar and instead of hitting the return button to search it on google, it will also say “on this page (3 matches)” click on that instead of googling the word and it will create a little word finder for the page. Use it all the time when I’m looking for certain strains! Works on every website.

Has CTRL+F stopped working for anyone else? Used to be it would search the whole page, now it only seems to be searching around where I'm scrolled to. Like, I know there's shake somewhere on this page... I can even scroll to it, but it still comes up with 0 results.

I was using the function where you type into search bar and then ‘find on this page’ which was working superbly until a week or so ago when the site seemed to change. I like wedding cake or ice cream cake so try to search that and now it says none, even tho I know there is!

Make use of patterns, spaces and then use findings to narrow search like searching for a vendor who seemed to have a good product, or by product name to compare across vendors

On chromium browsers Ctrl+F to “find on page”. On iPhone press the share button at bottom middle , scroll down and click Find on Page. Really useful to search through the items page for specific strains etc

In terms of precise payment amounts, I’ve always copied the number from the transaxe payment page and pasted it into my wallet payment page and all has been fine. With fees as high as they are, you don’t want to be going to the hassle of trying to get overpaid BTC back or wasting any.
