Yea you can custom fees though it will probably take longer for the transaction to occur but even just now that will only mean about 50% off the fee.
I am afraid we are all stuck with higher fees just now,if you are looking for someone to blame i would suggest those dumb Americans who use it as an investment like gold and silver and have stuck billions into it hoping for a get rich quick scheme,that is why we are all paying high fees.
Personally i hope btc drops back to $10k so i can watch them cry.

Custom fees, if your exchange allows

I just wish the LB payment cut off time was longer than 30 minutes! Then I would use custom fees but I’m always fearful I set too low and it takes too long to clear and causes problems.

Yeah understand what you mean bit restrictive on lb, would help to have ETH or LTC options as fees are lower

Interesting. I’ve seen some posts saying it has taken too long and the price has changed? Which doesn’t make sense to me. Does the transaction not show as in progress to the vendor? Anyway maybe you need to set the custom fees at a reasonable rate, for a few hours not 24 hours? Problem is you don’t set the the time but the sat/bits rate but how to determine the time scale? Don’t you love bitcoin, it’s much better than fiat money (heavy sarcasm!)

I’ve had the price change on me before the transaction completed. It was marked ‘part paid’ and the seller copped the right strop and refused to send my order. I couldn’t top up because my exchange has a big minimum transfer (0.003btc now £119!). There was nothing I had done wrong but was accused of trying to rip off the seller for less than 2 quid. Nice....

“Copped the right strop” I like it! It’s all frustrating and maybe a computer whizz understands bitcoin more than us. All I keep thinking is imagine the uproar if you paid £100 for something on credit card and when it came to paying it off (on time, no interest) you were asked to pay £110 because the “exchange rate” has changed? The product is listed at 0.003 btc, I’m sending 0.003 what does it matter how long it takes? Oh I’m sure someone is now shaking their head and thinking “tut tut it doesn’t work like that” but is this a failing of bitcoin or the LB processes? Sorry LB I love you really :)

I think that you build up a trust score of sorts with transaxe so it will approve the transaction even if you lower the the fee. I would guess its dependent on size of transaction and how many previous transactions you have made via LB all I know is that I have halved the fees on some recent transactions and they have been marked at complete but funds haven't moved until much later that day.

I don’t know how many times a day lb updates it’s conversion, perhaps it’s just automatic as the market jumps? Obviously it’s super volatile but if you get caught on the upswing then suddenly you haven’t sent enough money. I call BS on this because I sent the amount I was asked for.
Now I take a screenshot of the ‘pay now’ screen so at least I can stand my corner!
