Hi all, so I've tried weed and carts. Now looking at edibles, people to help with relaxation and sleep. So looking for two things.
1) recommendations on best vendors for edibles, don't mind imports as I'm looking for consistency
2)best type for sleep/couch lock experience

Use, what strength should I be looking at, I know everyone's tolerance is different but if looking at gummies how many should I eat in the first instance?

Also after some advice on your experiences on the difference between a regular cart and a live resin cart, is the sensation or high different?

I prefer live resin over distillate, better flavor and naturally so. More of the cannabinoid makeup is left intact so I feel it gets me higher and for longer but maybe that is just placebo.

It is a shame no one here to my knowledge does live rosin carts.

Hi Budzinho 👍. Great info on recommendations for carts. Ive just recently bought a couple of Disposable vapes from Urban leaf Company. The Voca pro Ccell. Fulton Street
1ml. Been using carts for a while now. Wondered what thoughts anyone else who's used ULC for their Disposable vapes? I feel I need to take more hits to get to where I want in any 1 Session 🤔 maybe it's my Tolerance? Or the Distillate/ Terps not as potent as some other Sources on here? 🤔

No problem lads and I haven't tried ULC's ones Jay so can't comment but I always go for the non branded ones.

With 100% LR or even 50/50 carts it only takes me 1-3 good hits to get blasted.

You should cop a battery instead mate, will save you money in the long term and can adjust the voltage to your liking.

As the vape market is a total minefield of dodgy disposables and carts filled with spice it is very much a case of buyer beware.
I don't use them often but when I do I get the 50/50 live resin carts from Dr distillate.
I find distillate more of a head high and the 50/50 are more of a full body stone.
If you are unsure what you would prefer I would suggest getting .5 carts of different types and seeing what each one does for you, as we all respond differently and favour different sensations.

Not necessarily on here but there are reports that they are finding it everywhere when they do random testing of confiscated carts, maybe just scare tactics but who knows 🤷‍♂️

Advice on carts

So my green journey to date. Smoked straight weed probably 10 times, love the experience but my work/family/house location just dont lend itself to smoking. I usually only need about a 1/4 king cone ajd im fairly away, no tobacco. As a result i have bought numerous vaporisers, including a mighty. They are okay but just dont get the same effect. Ive ordered some mj carts, first time use what do i do? Two draws, three draws or 10 i literally have no idea. Also any opinions on the effect v dry herb vaping. Thanks

Yeah mick knows the score. 3 three second draws, then chill for 15minutes. Top up as required. MJ makes great carts, and if you like them you will love SN2Ds carts from the USA. Lands in uk everytime and the choice of strains is fantastic. Similar price too i highly recomend

Not tried mj carts. Look into dynavap its like the one hitter of the vap world and just as potent.

So... new to this site and have not been involved in a community like this for 30 years (back when I was a student.) I switched to a DHV a couple of years ago and haven't looked back. Health concerns aside I find it to be better in every way.
But I am curious as to what percentage of people here use them?

Ah! Another Dynavap fan. I can’t say enough good things about it. Makes vaping almost as powerful as a joint. Never thought i would be able to get big vape hits like that.

You know, I was put off the idea of getting a dynavap because of the need for using a torch. But I've heard so many good things about them I reckon I may just try one. In fact the simplicity is now starting to appeal to me.

Always been a spliff man, never really enjoyed a bong either, really wanted to kick tobacco though so Vape was my only real option... got myself a Dynavap M, total garbage imo, I know it’s loved but honestly just couldn’t get stoned off it, then used my friends Pax 3... same thing, just a light stone as if I’d had saves on a spliff, totally gave up on the idea and went back to smoking.

A few months later I used a friends Flowerpot and the thing blew me away, it’s no doubt still a different stone to smoking a spliff or bing but it’s a totally different league to the Dynavap or the Pax, I can clear a 0.6 bowl in 2 clean hits, maybe a small 3rd hit. Long story short I now own a Flowerpot Weedeater and I’m consuming maybe .2 an evening and I’m nicely stoned from 7-11 on .2 of a gram. I am concerned about tolerance rising as many have described but atm I’m finding I’m saving a lot of herb as opposed to using more.

I love my pax but I am very aware I have very little to compare it to. It gets me to a far nicer place than the same amount of herb in a couple of blunts. But the battery isn't lasting as much as I could do with so am looking around. Thanks for your input. I do like my facts and figures and that gadget is certainly a different solution. Cheers.

You’re more than welcome, I wrote about this elsewhere but you really need to think where and when you vape, how you vape and go on from there, different strokes for different folks, my friend adores his Pax 3 cos it fits his uses, just not mine I guess. For me there’s very few great capes around and many alright vapes, I guess it’s only once you try the best you realise the difference, certainly happened to me. This is where my money would be going if I were you, and if a possibility I’d always go desktop if funds, space and how you use fits as they’re just leagues ahead imo.

So many new toy options i've never even heard of, (other than the mighty.) Cheers. I shall spend some time when I get chance putting my obsessive nature to good use and learn everything there is to know about them. I liked the Pax as it was tiny, didn't require any paraphernalia and if left out on the coffee table didn't get noticed by visitors. The only other one on my shortlist when I was last looking was the DaVinci IQ and curiously nobody has mentioned them. (Im a sucker for a sexy design see.) The Ghost on your list has intrigued me though and as I have mentioned elsewhere its difficult to ignore the rave reviews on the Dynavap, though as you say, horses for courses...

Like me then it seems, obsessive nature at its finest over here, find a topic of interest and spend the next month constantly digging into it, certainly passes the time. The DaVinci IQ from what I know is very similar to the Pax, surely not a bad thing if you enjoyed the Pax originally and everyone likes a new toy! The Ghost imo is a fantastic choice, only used it a few times and really enjoyed it, for portable mostly solo use that would be my pick, will very likely pick one up in a couple of months, if you like a session vape then imo the mighty is top of the tree.

Little edit to my last post, I totally missed suggesting Log vapes, any and all of them are very very impressive from my experience, look into the E nano, underdog, woodscents.

Haha, so you understand the decision process I am undertaking.
I looked into the Log Vap. Way too much trouble for me. I am curious about the Dynavap but my currant shortlist is the Ghost or the Solo. I am certainly intrigued by convection heating. I best start saving...unless anyone knows of a cheaper pure convection oven worthy of a recommendation?

I can’t seem to get along with vaping, I know it’s healthier and all that but for me it seems to make getting high a long drawn out process.
I’ve had the pax, mighty and crafty which I know many people love but they just didn’t hit the spot.
I had a phase where I used the Arizer extreme Q for a while. The whip on it is quite nice to use and you can load around 0.7 -1g at a time but after a while I found I was using ridiculous amounts daily so I just went back to pure spliffs, bongs and the genius pipe.
These days the Genius pipe is probably my favourite way to consume.

I used to dhv but I found it made my tolerance skyrocket in a silly short amount of time. I'd vape entire ovens and come away feeling nothing so I went back to joints until I bought a bong which I use for flower now.

It's funny because I vape everything else (concentrates/distillate carts). I still have my Pax 2, I might dig it out one day and give it another go.

Curious, I reckon my consumption may have actually gone down a little bit. I use my pax and then I just 'forget' to use it again for a couple of hours as I don't feel the need. I found so long as its packed tight and full its spot on. I once read somewhere that DHV releases different chemicals in the herb as you are just warming it up and not burning it. So you get far more of some chemicals but less of others. Perhaps that's how it can affect tolerances?

I made the switch a few months ago and can really feel the difference in my lungs. My current ‘go-to’ is a dynavap on a bong but I also use a solo II and the mighty which are both great

How are you finding the Solo2? It looks like a nice device. My concern on some of these gadgets was the size of the chamber. I bake alone most of the time so didn't want anything that has to be stacked too much.
I confess id never even heard of a Dynavap until I came to this site. (bows head in shame.)

I also mostly vape solo sessions - solo 2 bowl is a great size for personal use in my opinion. You can always pull the stem out of the device mid session and save it for later.

Re comments above about the dynavap M - if you’re getting vapor you are going to get high, no two ways about it. It holds a lot less than some vapes so comparing one bowl in a dyna to something larger isn’t a very fair comparison. If you use a dynavap properly it’s incredibly efficient, just check out the colour of the abv. I really enjoy it because it nice to use, never runs out of battery etc and is super good for single dosing

Thanks for the info. I am quite taken with the solo 2. It looks like a quality bit of kit and gets good reviews, so I may well start looking out for a deal on them. I have looked at the Dynavap website as so many people on here rate them but I cant quite get my head around it. I shall resort to you tube later. Thanks.

My only negative for the solo (and the Mighty..) is that there isn’t a user replaceable battery. Both devices comes with warranty on the battery for a year I think but Sod’s law it will die just after it runs out!

I have a PAX3. I used rizzlas and tobacco for over thirty years but as I have gotten older my lungs started rebelling. So a couple of years ago in desperation I bought a DHV. I was amazed! The high is better, my lungs don't moan, my house doesn't smell (as much) and im not addicted to nicotine. I firmly believe its the future so was just wondering how many people use them and if they are rated.
My Pax is a fair few years old now and the battery isn't up to much so if anyone can recommend a replacement that would be good too. I went with the Pax as it came with a chamber reducing lid which is good for solo work.
What are you using and is it any good?

So I'm fairly new to this community and still learning the ropes. I did a fair bit of research into vape devices before I started as I wanted to reduce smell but also as I quit smoking (by vaping) many years ago and didn't want to slip into smoking again. I tried weed on my honeymoon in Jamaica where I did smoke and then I found out I could vape dry herb and hence my LB and dry herb vaping journey began.
I have always been a big believer in 'by cheap, buy twice' but being so new to herb vaping I really didn't want to go all out with my first purchase. Regretfully I started off with the blck nova. Avaible for £30 on amazon. I was a little underwhelmed by the level of the high and wasn't really sure what I was doing. A few days later I took another look at what was available. This led me to the starry max v3 available again on amazon. This time the price was £70. This listing came with plenty of great reviews from people claiming that they owned much more expensive devices such as solo, da vinci etc and this stood up to them, so I took the plunge and ordered a second device. It was better, good control and much better airflow, how I was finding it was getting very dirty very quickly.
As part of this forum and a couple on reddit I was consistently exposed to the name 'mighty'. Impulsive as I am I thought 'f##k and just orderered it. It arrives yesterday and all I can say is wow!!! The major difference is the draw, it is so smooth and I really feel I am getting a lung full. The flavour is superb. Along my travels I had been recommended the dosing capsules. These are great for pre prepping also make cleaning a doddle. I have used it three times and you can't even tell its been used because of the dosing capsules. I vaped. 2g kosher Dawg yesterday and was blasted in comparison to the other two devices.
Moral of the story is if you are contemplating stepping up to the next level don't be afraid, the mighty is a monster, I finally feel I'm getting the best from my bud and wish I had gone for that option when I bought my first vape. Long live the mighty!
