First Class V Recorded delivery and Sneaky Postmen

So I’ve had a couple of orders go missing now, and all the ones that have were sent first class. Don’t know whether or not I’m paranoid but is my postman doing a sneaky ? As when I pay for recorded they have always arrived safely, and maybe that’s because the postman has to deliver it. Think from now on I’m only using recorded services to be safe.

Any thoughts on this ?

Im sorry thats happened to you, that would cause me a lot of distress so i sympathise. Its entriely possible, there are dodgy posties that snatch up the odd parcels. I worked with somebody who was a postman for 10 years and he said it does happen and sometimes often, and especially over Christmas. Also royal mail takes on a lot of agency staff over the summer and Christmas periods and i would bet they dont care about the rules as they wont be there for longer than a few months. I would definitely go for recorded from now on, not worth losing money and goods over it. There is also the chance they could have gone missing, but if it is becoming a regular thing its very suspicious and scummy for somebody to do that. It is happening to me mate as well, recorded and signed for always comes and 1st class stamped doesn't. It could be the postmen, it could be someone who is sorting it in depot... Anyway, would love to know where is it happening....

Hey people.
Is anybody else having slow post at the minute? I have 3 orders im currently waiting on and 2 should have gotten to me last weeked at the latest i though, i pressumed today would be the day i recieved a back log however nothing has turned up and im starting to bite my nails worrying. Anynone else awaiting? Cheers :)

phew, goodies arrived this morning, along with most of last weeks post... chatting with my postie turns out that union staff in hub sorting offices are doing wildcat work to rules, creating major backlog:(

Thats a while to be waiting, i would contact the seller after a week or so just to check, was it a big order? Not that it matters big or small, Royal Mail are useless right now

Sorry to hear that man, at least it isnt just one of us that way we know its just Royal Mail dragging there feet. Man im going to have to place a big order soon, dont want to hit with the christmas madness and a strike aswell, i will be suicidal haha. Hope your parcel gets to see dude.

Yeah, post has been slow. Do try not to worry. If it was a DVD you'd consider this a minor annoyance.

Heard on the radio that postal strikes could effect the election in December.

Remember there's going to be variation according to where in the country they are and where you are (strikes here, bad weather there etc). If you're worried, might be worth dropping seller a message just to confirm it's sent.

In the same boat here too. Waiting on 2 orders, one order made just over 2 weeks ago and the other mid week last week. Eagerly check my post everyday hoping for a surprise. Hope we all get something this week cuz it can be an anxious wait. Fingers crossed for you guys.

Wow 2 weeks is a long time i would have contacted the seller at that point, have you tried? Same here i keep worrying about a dodgy postman nabbing my mail however they would have to know what is in there and there is no way they would, it does happen though sadly :( Really hope your things arrive man 2 weeks is a while to wait, fingers crossed for us it is that time of year aswell.

Yeah I am kinda new to here so have only made 4 or 5 orders but the first 3 came thru no prob's. I contacted the seller and they checked with the shippers to see if there was a delay and said it seems to have been sent so I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer. The stealth is so good on the vendors I've bought from so far that I don't think the postie would have much of a clue. I am more worried about royal snail seizing it cuz I would worry about ordering anything else from here in case my cards are marked. But like you said it's silly season already and maybe the post is getting busy now. Thanks man hope your goodies arrive soon too.

I havent made too many myself probably around 10 and yes they usually come super quick with no issues. Thats a shame hopefully it arrives and if not i know a lot of sellers are willing to send a replacement, but some dont aswell at least from what i have heard usually depends on the situation. Yes the stealth is brilliant and im pretty sure there is no way they would know for sure, however its a dodgy postie i worrry about but i dont think its common probably me worrying. I get you though, i also worry about my order being siezed, i think uk to uk is 99.99 percent of the time very safe, but yes once one order gets siezed i think they do mark you down and it becomes almost imossible to order again :( Indeed it is, and with apprant strikes at the moment aswell its probably all chocca, at least i hope so lol. Hey no problem its only once you order from overseas that it becomes risky. Yes it will be 100% busy time of year. Its still nail biting at times obviously, as i forget its still illegal, ive had some many delivered that its easy to forget that fact. Yes man of course, i will do not to worry dude :)

Assuming you're a U.K based bigga then yes I am also waiting for 2 orders. Both orders Thursday night. Thought I'd get lucky with at least one order to come sat but nothing arrived. I'm not complaining mind you, I think I've been spoilt as all orders from same 2 vendors have been next day.

My streets post round is super late 2/3pm so maybe there's something waiting for me when I clock off tonight.

Yes i am UK based :) Two orders for me on Wednesday and i wouldnt usually worry but they would always arrive by Thursday/Friday but still nothing today. Yeah i know what you mean im also spoilt by the usual next day delivery that now i almost expect it. Hey i hope your order gets to you soon dude, post here if it does :)

My area of the country has had some super awful weather recently, I know some of the roads and nearby motorways have been closed and I've also heard that some posties have been talking about strike action so whether that's had any affect on service through the U. K. at all remains unclear.

Same to you Lucius, I hate to see a fellow herbalist go without that good-good.

Hopefully its only due to bad weather in your area causing a back log of parcels, and not a parcel going 'missing' and i have also heard of several strikes in the UK recently back to back. Will have to get a big order in soon so as to stay aeay from the Christmas rush, worst time of year lol.

I’m waiting for an order that was sent out on the 7/12 so I can can only assume it has gone missing :( had loads of other post and parcels delivered by RM arrive so I reckon it’s lost. Thankfully seller has very kindly resent the item and if my original order does arrive I’ll pay up on the replacement, think that’s only fair
