I have convinced myself that 🍄 are easier to find on recently grazed land.

Sheep do an amazing job of manicuring around patches of psilocybin. Maybe not so much the one sheep that was asleep in the road.

Cows are a little less delicate but still lovely 😍

I thought it would be good to follow them around a bit, then I spotted a good looking forage spot so off I went.

Squatting down amongst the grasses I went about my duties.

I turn around to see a cow and her calf have decided my patch looks good also. The calf is running around like she's found some good 🍄 ...she has but I'm hoping their going to be mine. I have a little one to one with Mum and she bellows out an bovine "Yo!" and her pals come over from yonder 👀 just as I spot a nice little picker and I resume my duties.

I turn around again to see her pals have joined and the one with horns on his head is puffing his chest out like "What u sayin' bruv?"

I will not hustle animals off 🍄 patches anymore.

Give them their respect❤️

Haha I think you're on to something with that!
I find they typically grow around mossy ground as well :) make sure you leave to dry for a bit and let all those maggots crawl out lol

Moss, junicus, gorse all good indicators from what I've learned in my limited experience.

I pick and dehydrate for storage as I prefer my maggots crispy 😆

Try boiling some up and making yourself mushroom tea ☕️ sieve them out the pan after they’re done and drink the broth. I always found this was the best way rather than eating them.
It tastes nasty, but you’ve just got to down it quick sharp.

I've not tried this way yet. I am getting acquainted to my tolerance levels and have been only micro dosing so far up to 1g.

I don't mind the flavour too much. I have some ground down and capsuled for ease of use.

For a higher dose, tea does seem like a good option.

I've also put some into honey but I need to work on the dosage a bit. I think I need about 12g into 340g for roughly .2g per 5g of honey(teaspoon).

The citric acid in the easy-peelers should work fine! I can also recommend dosing with Lion's Mane (fruiting body powder - 300mg) and Cacao... The Cacao is a MAOI, which should enhance the psilosybin... This can be iffy at higher doses though.

Alternatively, getting a chocolate mould from Amazon and making chocolate is amazing. Don't use Cadburys though as it's shite. A better quality darker chocolate is advisable.

I'll have to get the Lions Mane in. Is that 300mg per 1g of shroom? Or regardless of dose?

Very interesting fact about the cacao, I didn't know anything about MAOI and now I do.

That's a lovely haul! I tend to find sheep pasture better than cow pasture. A nice old turd usually yields results around surrounding bushels. Good times!

Most of my picking is on moorland so the animals have free reign.

Are there still mushies around? Am I right in thinking that it's easiest to find them on higher ground, in fields not used for crops (animal grazing only). For example, on moorland type fields?

The landis map is a good resource also. It is a map that classifies soil types. I have read that a 15/16 is ideal.

Higher moorland (preferably grazing land). I find the higher altitudes tend to yield more results (Scotland).

Yeah 100% you'll get more on higher ground. They like to appear after rain and when the sun comes out and warm patches as well. mostly mossy areas

They are definitely easier to find once the rain stops as the colour change makes them so much more easier to spot. I struggle when they are wet.

Remember that crop fields may have fertiliser/chemicals.

I would recommend moorland, grazed land I.e. a natural environment

Don't fuck with cows, and definitely not cows with calfs. If you look at a herd you can see the cows in charge looking at each other to direct what should happen when/if a calf starts wandering off.

Have any mushroom growers/vendors tried making blue honey to any success?.

Ive tried it myself and basically messed up with forgetting to write down the dose as I made it 6 months a ago and feel like they need to be powered to a fine dust more so than if you were making a tea or what not.

Hey dude.
I have some as it’s a fantastic way to keep them.
Maths is the key here but really it’s still gonna be a gamble.
Also remember that although it’s called blue honey you don’t really want it to turn blue because that’s a sign the psylicin is degrading.
Defo powder, powder, powder.
I use a coffee grinder when the mushrooms are cracker dry.
Easy peasy really. 😬

Cheap one on Amazon is perfect. £15ish.
I use the aborts. Little stumpy guys that gave up growing. Not proven or scientific but I’ve found these packs lot of bang.
Another thing to remember is they are never gonna dissolve so although the idea of stirring it into a tea or hot choccy sounds delish your still gonna have a powdery finish.

That’s what I’ve been looking for!! The maths! I tried shoomery but couldn’t really find what I was looking for!

I fucked up my last batch by putting a fair few grams of aborts in and when it came to testing it I think luck played a part as it looked like botulism had started, it was a weird orange greasy looking colour.

But thanks for that, literally a teaspoon equates to a decent micro dose or you could make honey candies I guess.

I dread to think what I would of been taking expecting a micro dose 😂😂

With regards to non-hallucinogenic truffles though, the pig is too unwieldy, too intent on eating the truffles, and fucking massive. A dog is better, and more snuggly. Unfortunately the truffle dog is worth a significant amount, and often poisoned by rivals. A few years ago I ordered Alba white truffles, and I'm glad I did. Utterly amazing grated in excessive amounts over buttered tagliolini (The shroom equivalent of Cali packs: glad I tried it, not sure I can justify that expense regularly. Delicious with '90s Grand Cru Burgundies).

Bought some in Rotterdam few years back, obv went for strongest one!
Took a bus to Hanover, and done the entire pack in at some budget hotel. Tasted like old walnuts.
Hours and hours of high speed Paisley walls. Had to go out for air, bastard hotel had about 10 sets of doors, bloke on reception laughing his nut off.....
Not the best trip ever :)

Many years ago in Amsterdam a friend and I went halves on what we thought were Philosopher's Stones Truffles expecting a 2-3 hour trip. However the guy selling them either mistakenly or purposely gave us the strongest on the menu (Fruit of the Gods I think?). We smashed the entire pack and were tripping balls for almost 12 hours. I don't care for the taste of truffles but I liked the effects. Similar to Shrooms mate.

It's psilocybine same as shrooms. Some people prefer them others prefer mushrooms. The texture is kind of like walnuts. With a nutty flavour and mild tart after taste

Been dosing on half G for a week now, got a dog park that was once a golf course where we used to pick them as youths.
Some guy tho, every afternoon for a week got them all, was there for hours every day picking among the dog walkers.
I got a pocketful of the last of the year's pickings (image) today, the later in the season they're picked the stronger it seems.
Next year i'll be ready, i'm up at the crack of dawn anyways, i walked past them a couple times last week until i decided to go for it, the liberty's have been amazing, i just had a little one earlier and had a vry nice fuzzy warm glow from it.
I'm drying them out right now in a kitchen paper.

I'd say it's still worth a punt. I'm no mycologist but I believe Libs prefer it a bit cooler than it's been recently in most of the UK, so the season may extend past the usual window if weather conditions allow. I've heard that the first ground frost is what finishes them off so you might still be ok depending on location.
