I use hodl hodl it's a p2p exchange, I use them because my passport is out of date and I don't have a drivers license.
There like how localbitcoin started out or some of the first ever bitcoin exchanges in 2011.
Your money still goes into an escrow until the other person has released you're bitcoin, it's safe I've never had an issue in 18 months using them.
