If you vape flower at lower temperature (170 celcius) it won't smell that much. You can easily use an incense to clear the air.
However it takes longer to make effect (sometimes up to 20-30 vaping).

If you vape oils it's much faster but more vaper in the air.
I feel that is also a different high.

In terms of health nothing beats vaping flower.

Vaping outside is the best option. Unfortunately I need the weed to give me the pain relief to physically get outside. It's kinda a catch 22.

Distillate is smell less and tasteless. While for me that doesn't add up to a worthwhile vape. It would certainly do for a week

I think you probably didn't try very good edibles, nothing wastes you more than strong edible..as for vaping, just go for a walk and vape, I always found when I used to vape even with strong bud the aroma never lingered for long, not like with a spliff.....or open window...could even make yourself a sploof, or buy official sploofy, but for vaping I don't think you have to worry really ....

I agree edibles get me super wasted, but for whatever reason they just don't sort out my chronic pain in the same way as vaping.

I think dry herb vaping still smells of green, it just doesn't linger as long or grip to fabrics like smoking does.. So if it was me I wouldn't do that inside, unless by a window.. but thats just me as I like to air on the side of caution.lol

Hey there, another migraine sufferer here. I get the ‘stasis migrainosys’ basically the three day ones with the visual auras, numbness, nausea and awful headaches. Basically lying down in a dark room is the only relief. I’ve had epi pens, pills and just about every thing going and nothing works.
Crippling stuff, add insult to injury when others say ‘it’s only a headache!’ Grrrrrrrr…
It’s a debilitating condition that should be registered as a disability.
Anyhoo, I find that hash is better for me than weed, it works better but not while I’m in the middle of a full blown attack. I just don’t/can’t smoke during one.

I'm sorry you have such a bad time.
I used to have migraines like yours but they reduced with age. I now get 1 day migraines with brain fog, confusion, nausea, trippy visuals, etc about 3 times a week. I'm on various prescriptions for chronic pain. I use weed because it radically reduces my need and use of prescription opioids.

Glad you’re better, wouldn’t wish them on my worst enemy they are horrible. Had them since I was about 12 and 40 odd years later I still get them. Various triggers are the usual stuff like too bright lights, stress, lack of sleep and water and too strong coffee/caffeine but the worst are from cheap hard cheese and chocolate of the cheaper variety like Cadburys and cooking chocolate, they really do me in!

The only thing I see in common with those items is the high tryptophan content of those foods. Maybe that is a factor

Interesting, never heard of that before and had a quick look as to what kind of foods they are. Fruit, milk and nuts some veg (cheese and chocolate which I do have to very careful with) feature and I’m fine with those. It’s weird I can eat more expensive chocolate like Tony’s and I’m fine, but if I have Cadbury’s it does me right in. There must be some ingredients that set it off?
Likewise with Cheese I’m fine with soft cheese like Brie but Edam and harder cheeses slay me!
I’ve done the cut out foods thing and there’s no one thing I can pinpoint.
I just accept it and if I’m careful I can get migraines as little as one per four or five months.
If I’m stressed though I can get a couple a month.

I already have prescription strength painkillers for my fibromyalgia.
Headband for me works miracles. Within a minute of me starting to vape the pain just lifts. I've been experimenting with other more easily obtained strains and they are just not the same.
A lot of people rate Wedding Cake, but that gives me headaches. I do often play with the idea of psilocybin, but haven't made the jump yet.

You want to be researching psilocybin mushrooms for migraines. One microdose every 6 to 12 weeks is enough to stop them for a lot of people

I've found edibles of any strain seem to help more than vaping or smoking. Headband didn't help me (added pressure). Gelato actually triggered a migraine once, so I think it's purely a personal thing. Migraines are strange animals.

As mentioned, I'd go for an Indica dominant strain, specifically a Kush which tend to have good medicinal and pain relieving effects.

If you go to the items wall, and use your 'find in page' option on your browser (usually an option in the top right of your device) you can do a search of all the items using a keyword like 'kush'.

Hi, thanks loads for the info. So far I've been avoiding anything known for making you sleepy as already have chronic fatigue. Have I been wrong for doing that? Most people so far have suggested Indica strains. How big a difference is there between Sativa and Indica in terms of how sleepy you get?

I'd say that Indica doms in general will tend to make you more sleepy and sativa is more geared towards daytime smoking when you can still function. So you're probably best off with a 50/50 (or thereabouts) hybrid so you still get the strength and pain relief of an Indica, but something that doesn't knock you out completely.

Maybe try and find something like a White Widow. She's a strong hybrid but is also known for being a more lively stone rather than a couch lock knockout. Strong but not sleepy.

Hi , I’ve similar going on too , tbh I’ve found this site a lifeline since I found it a year ago , I’ve sampled many strains for pain relief , mental health as well as I just want that stoned feeling to help get thru days sometimes , not be up against pain 24/7.

I swap about a lot as I can’t settle on one consistent strain (prob need a tolerance break but can’t deal with it just now lol ;)
Just now what’s helping me is
Chronus bud honey cream and
Talk to Franks Cinderella - both are very smooth effects & accurate listings , help with pain, chill, inspire and help me meditate to help with pain and get in the reiki zone too .
Also look out for British bulldog too .

This site has really helped me reduce my opiate use and has helped me to get out and about more often, which obviously really helps with the old mental health.

Dawgs for me are great for all round well being they lift the mind and hug the body. You'll probably have already had stardawg no doubt but if not give it a try because even though some people get snobby about it it's a very dependable and consistent strain in my experience! - RB's stardawg is my go to but there's loads of dawgs on lb to experiment with! :)

Hi, I haven't tried stardawg but I'll put it on the list. I haven't smoked weed since I was a teenager, but that was over 25 years ago, and damn things have moved on.

Generally speaking, as others have already mentioned, a high level of CBD is good (>5%). And avoid very high levels of THC if you can (>19%).

I would say White Dawg for pain and relaxation. A nice sativa for the daytime. If you are a bi-polar bear, I would suggest balancing your Indicas and Sativas accordingly. Depression can sometimes create more sleeplessness than the 'ups', if you're that sort of bear. Personally speaking, White Dawg / Purple Dawg for pain / relaxation and Mimosa / Haze / Ammo strains for depression, motivation and exercise (which will help the depression even more). Hope this helps!

Thanks very much for the advice. Unfortunately due to my ME/CFS even light exercise can cause me extreme pain and illness. It's a cruel thing but the advice for coping with ME/CFS is often the opposite of the advice for coping with depression.

I suffer from the same sort or problems. Any strain that is indica or Indica dominant will work really well for the above. Sativa strains cant deliver that relief that melt away the pain like a good old sadative Indica. If the seller dosent specify what the indica/sativa ratio is then i search the web for (FLOWER NAME- strain review) Sites like Leafy and allbud will give details on the indica/sativa ratio and the effects, ie pain relief.

I hear you there, shame our medical proffesionals are wrongly educated on our beloved medicenal plant cannabis. But are willing to hand out highly addictive opiates which kill more people than they help, they dont relief pain as good as cannabis and mess you right up. you can try a sativa for they day time like monwohmon suggested but you sound like your in as much pain as I am and they dont touch the pain for me.

I am currently in a very bad place physically but I don’t smoke, so would ideally need edibles/carts (I have a vape pen) that can help reduce the pain and associated anxiety.

I am a regular buyer of MJ Concentrates wellness oils and have been using these for some time, but I am always keen to hear other suggestions, particularly as my condition has recently worsened significantly.

Can I ask how your fibromyalgia was ultimately diagnosed please? I’m going via the NHS at the moment and it’s a real challenge to get an official diagnosis. I have been shunted off for physio as my blood tests didn’t show signs of inflammation etc, when actually stretching and bending is too painful due to the stiffness in my spine/joints. I’ve been in discomfort for over 30 years now!

I was diagnosed some years ago with cervical spondylosis and also had a lumbar spinal fusion. Clearly my back is fucked, and I’ll just have to rely on edibles for a pain outlet. Seems traditional medicine doesn’t help me.

Any advice/insight you can offer on fibromyalgia I’d be very grateful.

Hi, I almost ashamed to admit that for me the diagnosis was really easy. I told my doctor my symptoms and was diagnosed job done. Maybe try another doctor.

I'm on Gabapentin and that has taken the edges off the pain, I also have 30mg Co-Codamol for the worst days. These combined with vaping weed keep me comfortable for at least most of the day. For me personally the fatigue has been the most debilitating and treatment resistant symptom.

There's a lot of alternative medicine snake oil salesmen ready to sell you expensive placeboes when it comes to any chronic conditions. But for me Gabapentin + weed+ occasional co-codamol seems the best option.

I'm in the same boat (apart from fibromyalgia) and what I do is get distillate and mix in the terpenes for either Bubba Kush or Grand Daddy Purp (both heavy indicas) and that really helps me, especially with keeping the PTSD night terrors away. Obviously ymmv, though it's always worth a shot! Those two strains are my all time favourites because they help me out medicinally so well!

PTST Night terrors can be sorted and proper sleep every night. Distillate is plain. You need full spectrum. Hit me a private message and I'll send you a sample that will sort you out from word 'go'
