I would suggest some indica Cannacaps from Northern Organics (link below). You can get a pack of 10 for just $15 with free postage and start him on just one. These are lovely imo but if he simply doesn’t like the effects of cannabis then CBD is worth a try. CBD might work as more of a placebo than a stark reality- but placebos are good too👍

Placebos are definitely a thing.. 😂 I have people who come into the shop and take one drop of oil under their tongue and say something like “oh my good I feel soooo much better” 🤷‍♂️ But would never tell them it’s not possible that quickly Lol.

But we all have an endocannabinoid with CB1 and CB2 receptors which are ready to revive cannabinoids.🎉 Its purpose is to regulate our body e.g. digestion, body temp, sleep patterns etc… but also interacts with receptors for pain, inflammation, stress, anxiety and help bring homeostasis to our bodies. 🙂
CBD is just one of these cannabinoids which has lots of its own benefits, but they work soooo much better when holding hands which gives ‘the entourage effect’ rarther than isolating one of them. Although isolated CBD in some topicals or muscle rubs still work quite well. 👍

The great thing is everyone is different.. 😁 some people need a lot and others not so much. Then there are certain people/illnesses who need a stronger THC mix.. It’s all about finding the right dose for the right person… but I wouldn’t say CBD is more of a placebo than reality.. 😁😉💚💚✌️

Great advice Sam, and sorry I wasn’t meaning to diss your business! 🙏😘…I was just talking from my personal experience- I started my whole ‘journey’ with pure CBD and even though I desperately wanted it to ‘work’ sadly it didn’t do much. When I moved to 1:1 with low THC (under 10%) my world got a whole lot better and I haven’t stopped ‘experimenting’ since!😻
It’s just a wonderful plant and I’m certain that once we (society) get over our hang-ups with THC the myriad of benefits from everything else it contains will be revealed! 🤩👍

Dr green thumb has 1:1 oil that is spot on and that helps her but you have to be carful with the dosage and SCL carts but unfortunately they are selling up. Fucking gutted 😢

Hey mate, I have loads of people who come to me (cbd business) for Fibromyalgia and we’ve seen some lovely results.👍

I recommend some full
Spectrum CBD oil for the every day supplement, then maybe some cbd gummies or drinks for the as and when.

Maybe start off with a 1000mg full spectrum oil in a 10ml bottle (so it’s a true 10% and won’t require crazy amount of drops at once)

Then for edibles try and get broad or full spectrum at say 25mg (per edible) to start with and see how he gets on.

Everyone is different when it comes to CBD… so some people require a lot and others not much at all.. It’s just about finding what’s right for the individual, so a good rule of thumb is to start a bit lower then build your way up.. (case depending obviously as some times you just need to go for the strongest)

I’ve not tried rso, but I’ve heard it’s pretty strong and people struggle with dosing but someone more experienced might know.

I guess cbd or milder edibles could be a good call. Hashishin has some Lebanese hash oil capsules that are supposed to be pretty mellow and relaxing.

just adding my 2 satoshi's to this hearty discussion 🤗 I think one of the values of isolated CBD is that it can be taken in quite large amounts with no side effects (for most people. I have witnessed cases of individuals who were on certain prescription drugs and which experienced a slight drop in blood pressure that came with a fatigue for a couple of hours over the use of CBD. after the use stopped everything was back to normal) another thing I learned working with CBD patients is that for some ingesting CBD results in zero relief though applying it topically where it hurts provides hours of complete relief according to their statements. from my small experience with Fibromyalgia patients specifically I've encountered a few individuals who seemed to recover after gradually reducing their prescription drugs (opiates mostly) use to non (slowly, in months period), switching to better nutrition and using large amounts of CBD daily, with divided doses through out the day. a couple were smoking cannabis flowers (with very little tobacco if any). my subjective observation (in which I might be wrong of course) is that the individuals I've worked with had some very stressful experiences / ongoing situations in their pasts that may have seen too big to handle and which have deeply effected their personality (I assume). one factor that seems to me to be common for the few individuals that recovered was a change to very positive mindset, dropping as much stressful factors as possible from their present daily life and generally making an effort to search for the things that bring them joy and apply them. again, the last part is my complete subjective observation and I mean no offense, if anyone finds it irrelevant. I enjoy reading all of your comments on this topic very much!

Good question, all the live resin we use is derived from the same strain as whats labelled on the cart. So the GG4 uses live resin extracted from GG4 buds and the GSC uses a different live resin extracted from GSC buds

I vape daily for medicinal purposes and I buy from Dr Extracts 99% of the time. I prefer distillate but I also like the GSC live resin for during the day, and the new gorilla glue has certainly helped my chronic insomnia.
So there is only one downside to vaping carts daily IMO. For me, I find that vaping increases my tolerance really quickly. After a few days of not smoking flower, but vaping maybe 4-5 times a day, I can share a blunt with the other half and not feel a thing. I appreciate I smoke/vape too much though as working from home at the moment, and having a cartridge is just too damn easy to pick up and smoke 🤣. But I do find I can get through the carts quite quickly. That's another reason I like Dr extracts because his pricing means everyone can afford their medicine.

The only other thing I'd say is I have had an irritated throat from vaping before but I genuinely don't get that from the docs live resin carts. ☺️

In my early days of searching for carts i came across some shockers that in the past have made me feel quite ill aswell as a horrible sore throat (yes i have tried fake carts) these carts were not bought on LB i came to LB looking for genuine carts from a genuine vendor and i found both with DE's, since using their carts i have not experienced any negative effects from vaping, just a pure clean happy high, no more coughing fits either, LB is built on trust and i trust DE more than any other vendor on LB based on the experience of being a long term user of their products, i try not to vape all day, i use the gg4 more like a dab hit, a lil treat 3-4 times a day is enough for me, i also find that i don't miss flower with the gg4 so far (5years) it is the only cart to achieve this for me.

Forgot to mention the GG has been perfect for my arthritis from an accident and also as a sleep aid for occasional insomnia, not forgetting the GSC that is also good for the above.

The live resin is from the strain its self, so the GSC carts use GSC live resin & the gg#4 carts use GG # 4 live resin:)

Long term it's essential to hedge your bets

As mentioned, I'd go for an Indica dominant strain, specifically a Kush which tend to have good medicinal and pain relieving effects.

If you go to the items wall, and use your 'find in page' option on your browser (usually an option in the top right of your device) you can do a search of all the items using a keyword like 'kush'.

I've linked you to Super Han's Cookies Kush which I've grown myself and can say is a good strong Kush. He's a well respected vendor with a good reputation.

Hi, thanks loads for the info. So far I've been avoiding anything known for making you sleepy as already have chronic fatigue. Have I been wrong for doing that? Most people so far have suggested Indica strains. How big a difference is there between Sativa and Indica in terms of how sleepy you get?

I'd say that Indica doms in general will tend to make you more sleepy and sativa is more geared towards daytime smoking when you can still function. So you're probably best off with a 50/50 (or thereabouts) hybrid so you still get the strength and pain relief of an Indica, but something that doesn't knock you out completely.

Maybe try and find something like a White Widow. She's a strong hybrid but is also known for being a more lively stone rather than a couch lock knockout. Strong but not sleepy.

Hi , I’ve similar going on too , tbh I’ve found this site a lifeline since I found it a year ago , I’ve sampled many strains for pain relief , mental health as well as I just want that stoned feeling to help get thru days sometimes , not be up against pain 24/7.

I swap about a lot as I can’t settle on one consistent strain (prob need a tolerance break but can’t deal with it just now lol ;)
Just now what’s helping me is
Chronus bud honey cream and
Talk to Franks Cinderella - both are very smooth effects & accurate listings , help with pain, chill, inspire and help me meditate to help with pain and get in the reiki zone too .
Also look out for British bulldog too .

This site has really helped me reduce my opiate use and has helped me to get out and about more often, which obviously really helps with the old mental health.

Dawgs for me are great for all round well being they lift the mind and hug the body. You'll probably have already had stardawg no doubt but if not give it a try because even though some people get snobby about it it's a very dependable and consistent strain in my experience! - RB's stardawg is my go to but there's loads of dawgs on lb to experiment with! :)

Hi, I haven't tried stardawg but I'll put it on the list. I haven't smoked weed since I was a teenager, but that was over 25 years ago, and damn things have moved on.

Generally speaking, as others have already mentioned, a high level of CBD is good (>5%). And avoid very high levels of THC if you can (>19%).

I would say White Dawg for pain and relaxation. A nice sativa for the daytime. If you are a bi-polar bear, I would suggest balancing your Indicas and Sativas accordingly. Depression can sometimes create more sleeplessness than the 'ups', if you're that sort of bear. Personally speaking, White Dawg / Purple Dawg for pain / relaxation and Mimosa / Haze / Ammo strains for depression, motivation and exercise (which will help the depression even more). Hope this helps!

Thanks very much for the advice. Unfortunately due to my ME/CFS even light exercise can cause me extreme pain and illness. It's a cruel thing but the advice for coping with ME/CFS is often the opposite of the advice for coping with depression.

I suffer from the same sort or problems. Any strain that is indica or Indica dominant will work really well for the above. Sativa strains cant deliver that relief that melt away the pain like a good old sadative Indica. If the seller dosent specify what the indica/sativa ratio is then i search the web for (FLOWER NAME- strain review) Sites like Leafy and allbud will give details on the indica/sativa ratio and the effects, ie pain relief.

I hear you there, shame our medical proffesionals are wrongly educated on our beloved medicenal plant cannabis. But are willing to hand out highly addictive opiates which kill more people than they help, they dont relief pain as good as cannabis and mess you right up. you can try a sativa for they day time like monwohmon suggested but you sound like your in as much pain as I am and they dont touch the pain for me.

I am currently in a very bad place physically but I don’t smoke, so would ideally need edibles/carts (I have a vape pen) that can help reduce the pain and associated anxiety.

I am a regular buyer of MJ Concentrates wellness oils and have been using these for some time, but I am always keen to hear other suggestions, particularly as my condition has recently worsened significantly.

Can I ask how your fibromyalgia was ultimately diagnosed please? I’m going via the NHS at the moment and it’s a real challenge to get an official diagnosis. I have been shunted off for physio as my blood tests didn’t show signs of inflammation etc, when actually stretching and bending is too painful due to the stiffness in my spine/joints. I’ve been in discomfort for over 30 years now!

I was diagnosed some years ago with cervical spondylosis and also had a lumbar spinal fusion. Clearly my back is fucked, and I’ll just have to rely on edibles for a pain outlet. Seems traditional medicine doesn’t help me.

Any advice/insight you can offer on fibromyalgia I’d be very grateful.

Hi, I almost ashamed to admit that for me the diagnosis was really easy. I told my doctor my symptoms and was diagnosed job done. Maybe try another doctor.

I'm on Gabapentin and that has taken the edges off the pain, I also have 30mg Co-Codamol for the worst days. These combined with vaping weed keep me comfortable for at least most of the day. For me personally the fatigue has been the most debilitating and treatment resistant symptom.

There's a lot of alternative medicine snake oil salesmen ready to sell you expensive placeboes when it comes to any chronic conditions. But for me Gabapentin + weed+ occasional co-codamol seems the best option.

I'm in the same boat (apart from fibromyalgia) and what I do is get distillate and mix in the terpenes for either Bubba Kush or Grand Daddy Purp (both heavy indicas) and that really helps me, especially with keeping the PTSD night terrors away. Obviously ymmv, though it's always worth a shot! Those two strains are my all time favourites because they help me out medicinally so well!

PTST Night terrors can be sorted and proper sleep every night. Distillate is plain. You need full spectrum. Hit me a private message and I'll send you a sample that will sort you out from word 'go'

Hello my friend! alot of people ordered so I hope you will have a review soon :) these carts can take 0.5 grams of extract. I use them myself. It's true that when it's full you have to heat the oil for a few seconds before it hits the quartz coil and then the air flow opens up. whats unique about these carts are the coil itself which is an exposed quartz coil with no metal pipe in the middle of it, the tank is totally hollow. the carts that have a metal pipe in them are made for liquid substances and the pipe is in there to allow air flow through the liquid without "drinking" it. as far as I know, when it come to PURE cannabis extracts, only industrial grade CO2 extract can be obtained in a liquid state and be vaped in these carts with efficiency, all other cannabis extracts of good grade whether it's alcohol, bho, rosin etc needs a liquid cutter to be vaped in these glass, metal piped carts with ease.I personally don't use them for that reason. the metal quartz coil carts I use with only pure cannabis extracts and it gives me the full quartz nail experience, on the go. hope people will get their carts soon and will have a (positive) review about them :) cheers!

Hi! the cart is powered by a tiny quartz coil which gives a similar experience of dabbing on a quartz nail. it's a 510 thread. you can refill it once it's empty. it's made for budder/shatter/curmble/wax etc... about vaping soilds - it might be possible but potentially will make the coil go out faster. cheers!
