So I’m on the wrong side of 35 and have smoked on and off since 16. I have two kids and so have the usual guilt associated with smoking. Long story short I’m looking to switch to vaping but my perception is that it is a minefield out there with lots of black market products and the associated risks they bring.

Is there anyone here that has verified 3rd party testing for their carts?

Prohibition sucks and just causes more health risks such a shame we live in such a world.

You are wise to question it, and personally I do avoid most cheap carts. That said, you can take confidence in some very highly reviewed and long term carts available on LB. Dr. Extracts would be a very good example with over 3,000 reviews!

If you want Lab figures then a way to go is to pay more for top shelf brands. G6 Extracts provide all the numbers. If you buy brands from the US via SN2D they are highly regulated and tested and come with Lab data.

Thanks Polly. Yeah round my way in South UK lots of those 1010 boys vapes floating about which just taste off.

I’m going to give doctor extracts a try and see how I get on.

I would strongly suggest looking into dry herb vaporizers. Same old trustworthy flower, without the ill health effects of smoking. Look at the Mighty for an endgame vaporizer experience. There is a slight adjustment period for some people, but once you get there it's just as satisfying as a smoke. I love carts too, but you can never be sure. Dry herb vaping is optimal imo.

My issue is that when I had a mighty I would always turn the heat up and then basically end up smoking. Because I have no will power and I love weed.

That's still a million times better than smoking! The mighty only goes up to 210c. I think combustion only occurs around 230c and higher. I would always advocate for doing your own research but for me it is the far healthier choice, even at max temp.

True, but you shouldn’t consider carts as a “lightweight” option. Some of these demons are nearly 100% THC and although I use a high end battery with low voltage options they hit a darn sight harder than my Mighty. Nothing makes me cough more than carts 😖
What they offer over dry herb vaping for me is stealth and convenience…the Mighty is a bit of a stand out down the pub😉

I've had vapes and I've had vapes.
I've had vapes that taste like toilet cleaner gel, I've had vapes that taste like pure chemical crack, I've had vapes that are fruity and I've had vapes that stink of weed. I've given money to people on Tele-gram for nothing but I've never been ripped off here. I think the vape market is about to explode (when they Legalise It) and its only gonna get harder to get authentic vapes. My favourites on here are Dr Extracts and G6, depending on how decadent I'm feeling - the G6s are your superlative product and also just look fucking cool, but you'd expect a smoother ride for that price point. I yearn for the day that all different entheogens are available to microdose on a vape, how cool is it gonna be to trip from a vape? I suppose it may be difficult to master dosage, but I have full confidence that someone somewhere, will. 😊

Just received a small order and was gutted to see that it was a 2Gs of sprayed weed.

I've seen a tonne of this stuff from street dealers but hoped it wouldn't be on LB and to be fair this is the first I've come across (not going to name the seller but won't be using again.)

I know it's sprayed because the crystals are just a little bit too reflective on the bud and when you grind it and collect the 'kief' the powder compresses into a squidgy hard ball that doesn't burn well under flame and leaves a tarry black ash after a good torching.

I've smoked since I was 16 and I'm 35 so this isn't my first rodeo and this stuff isn't as it should be.

Anyone else seen this on here?

Pretty sure "spayed weed" was anti-drug propaganda in the news and papers in the late 90s and early 00's as the rise of what they called "skunks" took over - only time I've ever heard of it. It doesn't even make sense to be real and I've never seen it or even ever heard anyone say exactly what they think it's sprayed with!

Also think it's odd that when stuff like this comes up the sellers name or strain of weed never gets mentioned.

yes i think it was most likely propaganda too. hopefully this is just another case of too much unmetabolized nutrient salts left in the bud at harvest. i used to grow fairly small plants for my personal and even with organic i had to use light soil and the very minimum amount of nutrients just in the early growth stage to eliminate black/hard ash issues but the results of doing that were generally outstanding levels of quality and flavours

I'm not sure exactly, some sort of polymer. You can spot it a mile off compared to real thc. The below is the best zoom I can do. See how all the 'crystals' are long straight particles - they have a very light gritty feel to them.

At the zoom level i would find it hard to tell. Great way to check your bud is a jewellers loupe 60* or 90* with a light. At that zoom level it should be possible to confirm.

If you can feel the grit when rubbed on teeth thats no good. Believe some deposits from a grow where nutrients have been heavy handed can also be gritty from online reading.

Have had some street green from years back that had glass beads. This was gritty if you rubbed on teeth and produced a sore throat and chesty cough.
Normal trichs should dissolve when rubbed on teeth.

Trichomes can have different appearances other than the colour of the head. So just being straight may not be the identify an additive. This can depend on strain, grow, time of harvest. Here is a decent article https://www.leafly.com/news/cannabis-101/what-are-trichomes-on-cannabis

If you think it is definitely sprayed please name either dealer or strain. Perhaps LB could introduce an initiative if someone gets weed they think is contaminated they could send it off for testing at LB cost.

Fine answer. I've seen weed that appeared sprayed on more than one occasion,in lb,but I've seen the cheese masters page and his stuff doesn't appear sprayed not does he seem the type to fuck with his weed.

I remember that shity sprayed glass beeds stuff,just rub your finger true the bud, rub your finger on your gums and you could feel it crushing between your teeth, horribly nasty shit, also sprayed weed nowadays is mostly chemical, were they get real poor quality weed and spay it then you get an artificial high which again I's nasty shit

mate untill your certain I wouldn't call out the vendor publicly that could damage their rep etc think if you was in their position vice versa it could be a simple case of paranoia pmsl Respect LB and community as well big up too all vendors and I don't think it's sprayed mate it looks as if you need a new plastic grinder I remember mine starting to rub the outside of the plastic off into mine that little green dot looks as if it may have come off the grinder man IMO and previous experience ✌️but I don't want to say your wrong mate because if someone is doing that they should be kicked from the site simple as that respect everyone peace and much love :)

All I can say is it may make an interesting discussion.

Personally I've no idea what product that exists you think has been sprayed, or what it is about what you did that brings you to this conclusion. All I see is keif, but every day is a school day.

Any old shit is going $80 a Q on here all day long and you don't get to inspect it in advance, so why bother hunting down such a rare product as a polymer spray that looks like trichomes.

If you do name and shame I hope you continue to include how you came to your conclusion.

Now I'm nowhere near as experienced as some people here but speaking as someone who's put in a couple of orders with the vendor you're accusing I think this might be a case of something else, or simply you being paranoid.

A few people have mentioned that the trichomes can be affected by the way it was grown and/or harvested. My only issue with Cheesemaster is that sometimes the buds haven't been perfectly cured so from what people have said here that might just be what's happened. I don't mind the lack of curing though and I'm more than happy to support an honest vendor (who's mentioned he's happy to pay for tests btw) that has an organic growing set up. Feels like the weed equivalent of supporting a local business!

I also got a 3.5g order of the Amnesia Lemon (the strain in question) and I never noticed anything untoward about the product and will be ordering from the vendor again in a week or two. Also as someone pointed out, why would someone on LB try and swindle people like this when they could just send any old shit? Sounds like a lot of effort for not much reward.

I’ve ordered, different strains, many times and have never had an issue or concern. All I’ve ever received is very good quality product and never been disappointed.

Ive got weed or hemp too many parts overly engineered hemp trying to be weed before. looked like this was some kind of pineapple that was just stork trichomes with little to no heads, mainly flat heads and globs, no to say what you got there but maybe, the so called safe thc? that just stops burning?

The reason you should involve the seller is so they get an opportunity to respond. You gotta have the courage of your convictions IMO....
