Local bitcoin is a good website for buying bitcoin under the age of 18 and you can pay in all types of formats. (pay-pal,cash by mail, cash deposit, national bank transfer, paym, pingit, transfers with a specific bank) But it does have its downsides.
If you are new to bitcoin just be aware of the heavy fee's that some people charge on this site. For example when i first got into bitcoin and did not know anything about it the first thing i did was go on this website and spent £100 on bitcoin and i completely overlooked the fee's that came with people who do not request ID and i and only ended up getting £10 worth of bitcoin.
When you are on the website you will see where it says Price / BTC. The lower this number is the better and on the website it gives you the amount of bitcoin you will get for how much money you are paying (for example if you see an offer that says 5,664.07 Price / BTC and spent £100 on it you would get 0.01765515 BTC which is equivalent to £87.19, compared to if you spent £100 on one that said 8,600.00 Price / BTC and spent £100 on this you would only get 0.01347676 BTC which is equivalent to £66.57) Make sure you always enter the amount it gives you in bitcoin into google and see how much its worth in your currency to make sure you are not getting crazy high fee's, anything between £5-£10 fee is not bad as it does not require any form of id.
There are a lot of people on the website that do require ID and a photo of you holding your ID next to your face, however it is not hard to find people who don't require ID but this does cost more and they tend to take anywhere from 10%-30% of your money and they justify this because they don't ask of ID. Although there are some people on the website who don't require ID and also don't charge crazy high fee's.
Overall you should only use local bitcoin if you really have no other way of getting bitcoin (from friends, relatives or just secure websites) But it is a good way for people under the age of 18 to get started in bitcoin and it enables them to get a better understanding of it at a young age and also a better understanding of making investments and how useful crypto currencies really are.
