My experience: neither makes me come up with better ideas, just more of them.
On balance most my drunk/high ideas are dumb. But occasionally they’re amazing, things I’d probably not thought of otherwise. I think I get more good/creative ideas with weed.

But I think the disparity comes from the real difference—kinds of connections I make. Weed seems to expand the world and I make new connections between different things(e.g. my mom went deaf, but if she was born death would she still think in english?).

Alcohol is more about unfiltered id and forgetting about consequences(could I stick my dick in the vacuum hole?).

Both ideas are kinda dumb but the weed idea (for me) at least made think about what my mom’s life is like day to day. The alcohol idea just made me think about how I was going to explain this to a doctor.

Inevitably anything you do on drink ends up with you either feeling embarrsed or in some cases, ashamed the next day lol. The drunker you are the worse decisions you make and stupidity overtakes any creativity. On the other hand on weed, sometimes i can be too wasted, locked to the couch to do anything, but, if im in he middle of something that requires tunnel vision type focus, and i have the right weed, i have had some very productive days/ late nights on the weed...im a coder by the way

I’m with this 100% although I think some of the shame and embarrassment following a drinking session is chemically exacerbated. I’ve had almost debilitating anxiety hungover (I’m a pretty anxious guy anyway) over the littlest things sometimes.

Although not a coder in its purest sense, my job requires me to solve technical problems on a wide range of systems, platforms and languages (i.e trawling Stack Overflow) and I find that cannabis absolutely helps with my understanding of more complex issues which seem out of reach sober.

I don’t know if there’s something going on with the clever part of my brain doing it’s work or just the tuning out of the days noise that helps but time and again a stoned me trumps my sober self in certain situations.

Note that the clever part of my brain has never shown itself on drink……

100% agree, Alcohol has only even damaged lives, dampens your conscisous and numbs. Psychedelics on the other hand, opens your mind, connects us with the universe and encourages us to work on ourselves for the better. Speaking for myself. Cannabinoids and ethanol can achieve more psychedelic effects together than each on their own. It's truly amazing, how trippy it can get, as far as not too much alcohol is taken. Ideally have a beer or little wine, but no shots.

I smoke to get stoned but I usually don’t drink to get drunk and I think that’s the difference. Drinking great quality booze in reasonable quantities with convivial company can easily be more creative than some of the daft bolloxsh I come out with when I’m high 😂

Since i start smoking and found out about LB instead of the cops knocking the door i have the RM guy who also smiles at me. Alchool is out of my life now. Smoking for me works for almost everything creativity , studying, chilling and going to sleep.

alcohol 100% is better for my creatvity. weed is better for pretty much everything else, but all it ever does it numb me.

I had no clue either. A cart is a pre filled ready to smoke product. It comes in a ( urm not sure what they are called) you know the part you screw onto an ecig with the juice in it. It's a use until it's gone and then buy another kind of thing. I found it a great stealthy way to smoke in public. I have ordered a couple of times with MjConcentrates and their carts are great. They even sell the pen that it can be screwed onto. I got the Amigo Max battery. Works perfectly & not complicated to use at all lol. Take a look at MjConcentrates page and scroll until you find their carts. They do different strains & flavours. I personally have not tried them. But I hope your first experience is as good as mine. I use Urban leaf co for my bud and can highly recommend them. & they offer free 1st class postage. Usually arrives in 1-2 days but with Christmas it is taking longer (as expected) wow sorry I waffled on there. My stoner brain just wouldn't stop haha.

You are no longer at the mercy of any street dealer, you now have a choice. You had to play by their terms for 5 years, wait in the car an extra 15 mins while he finishes his tea and meet him when it suited him, not when it suited you, driving back home with your little bag of twigs, now you are in a place were the sellers play by your terms (and our terms, as a community) because most sellers here have the best intentions, to deliver a good product and a good, honest service, and if everyone is on board with that we get to sample some of the finest of what is on offer.

People need to realise that in most cases street dealers are either growing it in their spare cupboard or room, with no proper equipment in place, experience or know-how most of the time, and would lack the willingness to improve if the opportunity was presented, in favour of extra margin or lack of effort, or they are getting it on tap so have to take what they are given and keep their mouth shut because they know were their bread is buttered. None of those two things equals a good experience for the customer, because there was never any intent on making it a good experience, only to make some easy money from the desperate locals, of which there are many. They get their own personal smoke elsewhere, and not even a 5 year buyer and seller relationship will they make you aware of it.

Now you are on LB were it all changes, and when anyone talks about weed in your company you can be assured you have the upper hand in that conversation, because you have choices aplenty, you will remember the days you had to put pedal to the metal to meet your dealer half an hour away, on their terms of course, one choice take it or leave it, get no respect and a shitty product in return and you will laugh about it because now with less effort than getting in your car and closing the door you have opened up options you never thought possible.

Street dealers over charge because they are the bottom end of dealers. People on here get the stuff in bulk and wayyy cheaper so can afford not to rip anyone off. Also the post is our runners so the only cost for us to move it is the postage as supposed to having to pay street rats to do your bidding if are big on the street. It’s all cutting into profits but that problems not an issue on here my friend. :)

P.s. urban leaf and tgt are the best examples of reliable vendors.

Yeah that's the problem when they know you have no other choice. My dealer must be gutted as I used to spend £400 a month (at least) but I spend that here now. Which is so much better. I can still access weed if I move to a new location. Nothing worse than trying to find a new guy with good weed in a new place. So on so many levels you are much better off buying from here. Just read up and check reviews on sellers before you buy. But the 2 I have recommended and used before are brilliant quality, delivery stealth/speed & good weights. Also very friendly people. Especially urban leaf co!

I would get the THC concentrate carts! So easy to use and I'm guessing it is stronger than smoking weed. But there could also be other options on here that could be better for you. I use it for mental health issues rather than pain so I am not really the best person to suggest the best option for you. But I'm sure if you create a post with a header asking about options for pain relief someone will let you know. Or you can search through the "topics" at the top of the page to see if there are other posts that may help you. I hope you get sorted. My mum suffers with chronic pain so I can only imagine how hard things must be for you!

I agree, I think the fear is driving the anger and the fear for many is very real ( like losing their jobs and homes) plus we're being led by a government who couldn't manage the local McDonald's! That's not partisan I don't think a change of government would help we need a change of system. On the positive side I think they may legalise cannabis to raise money and keep people happy. what iv found here with anger is when you get poor service from a vendor ie poor weed,poor coms and you leave feedback on his page many other people get angry as they have received good service and basically call you a liar which in turn then turns into a row....people have to accept not everybody gets the same service and many vendors with have their fave clients

I don't think because other people have had positive experiences that it automatically invalidates a negative one. I do think that some members might be trying to create a balance when someone does have a negative experience so people can get a full picture. I think a lot of the time it's more to do with how someone has put something across rather than nessesarily what they've said. But of course, you're always going to get those who can't understand that someone else's experience might be different to their own. We are still on the Internet after all. In those cases it's not worth the effort to engage with it. Studies show even a single bad review can negatively impact a products sales. But if said review turns into a slanging match, it just makes everyone look stupid and any significance of what you said gets lost.

From my experience (can't speak for anyone else) I've found that just talking to the seller if there's a problem always works for me. Though that probably isn't by accident. I always have a good look around a sellers page and if there's anything that doesn't seem 100% I won't look at the product. At the end of the day you're handing over your personal details not just your money. But the ones I've dealt with have been highly professional esp considering the legality of the industry. But as I said. Just because I've been lucky up until now doesn't mean you haven't had some bad luck. Hope you've managed to find a and merchant you're happy with :)

Hmm well the riots "demonstrations" lol haven't helped matters, I'd put it down to the whole scenario man, out of work no money which means no weed,think I'd be pretty angry too, personally I quite enjoyed the lockdown got my head down and took up smoking weed again, the uncertainty will have a dramatic effect on well being, getting into another lockdown going into winter will be horrendous, not so bad when the weather was nice, the other thing is tho of course you're stereo typing, but essentially angry people will pretty much always be angry and positive uplifting happy people will generally be happy, will all have our off days, perhaps the angry will become happy again post corony
